Feet to the Fire Writers' Workshops® OUTLOUD
Feet to the Fire Writers' Workshops® OUTLOUD is our way to bring forth personal stories, those irreplaceable voices, the true heart and spirit of people who might otherwise be quiet. Each week we'll share the conversations and snips of wisdom, laughter and honesty. Most importantly, these written stories are read by the writers themselves in the only way they can possibly be shared - in their own voices. Our goal is a simple one - tell the tales and help people feel valued, cherished, heard and connected. *Original score composed by Ben Sollee*Editor/Sound Magician: Cooper Burton

Episode 8
Carol Mead is a woman who values the power of words, as a way to communicate with her children and grandchildren a valued reach to loved ones. She cherishes her friendships dearly and so when faced with the word "buddy", it prompted her to examine what that meant in her life. She writes about belonging, contributing, doing and the value of her female comrades, as "...older, wiser women who can revolutionize the way we live and the way we are seen by society: compassionate, nurturing, fierce about what matters..."
