#13: Performance Psychology Coaching with Kyle Emley
This episode connects us with Kyle Emley. Kyle, originally from Victoria played most of his junior and senior AFL footy in the state where he reached the heights of the VFL and competed for the Box Hill Hawks and Northern Blues. However, after an injury that forced him to re-think his direction, Kyle started moving into coaching. Which has seen him employed by various clubs and schools in Victoria and a recent move to Sydney where he is now coaching the UTS Bats Men’s Premier Division team, where he is also a player.
Kyle is also a Performance Psychology Consultant for Veretis, a Psychology Firm specialising in Clinical, Legal and Performance Psychology. Who are helping individuals, business teams, and elite sporting groups across Australia. Veretis understand the importance of strong leadership and committed team players, and their highly experienced team continually deliver real results.
On a personal note, Kyle has had his fair share of challenges which we discuss in today’s show, amongst a range of super inspiring tools and techniques that he has used over the years to see him grow and develop not only professionally, but also mentally and emotionally.
Kyle is super passionate and supports the people around him to find their way forward, I know I was moved by his capacity to be continuously resilient and vulnerable which he expresses in a multitude of different ways throughout our conversation.
If Kyle and his role at Veretis interest you or your team check their website or connect with Kyle via his LinkedIn. If you're a Sydney based AFL player then check out the UTS Bats AFL website and look to see how you can get involved!
