Charles George Missions (CGM)

Charles George Missions was founded in 2004 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non‑profit tax‑exempt organization in 2011.

Missions to Other Countries

CGM conducted missions to the Philippine Islands from 2005 through 2007 and 2009 and to Guam and Micronesia (Pohnpei) in 2008. Stephanie and I are both private pilots, and we used our aviation training to co‑pilot aircraft to remote islands in the Philippines. Charles was the first non-Filipino to preach the gospel in these remote islands. In 2010, we ministered and preached the gospel in Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Cape Town, South Africa; Cassie Wright, our daughter, and her son, Robert, Jr., accompanied Apostle Charles to the Dominican Republic in 2011; I went to the Dominican Republic for the first time in 2013 with a team led by Apostle Charles which included Apostle Dr. Timothy A. Treadwell, Cassie and her two sons, Robert, Jr., and Alex. Cassie planned, developed, and established CGM’s three Vacation Bible Schools in Santiago and Baitoa.

Other CGM missions include Israel in 2012, where we compiled more than 700 videos and photos for our media ministry; a mission to Alaska in 2019 to visit the Oyoumicks, an aviation ministry family; and an exploratory mission to Ecuador in 2019—where we considered ministering long‑term until the pandemic happened in 2020. That is when we changed course.

CGM and Podcasting

On June 20, 2020, CGM launched its first podcast, and thus, we continued the mission of spreading the gospel worldwide through audio platforms. Since 2020, we have published 196 podcasts and reached 75 countries and almost 1200 cities on six continents. A list of the series podcasts includes Ruth and Boaz, Bible Bad Girls—Gone Good, Queen Esther, More Than Conquerors, Christmas Podcasts, Empowerment through the Holy Ghost, Empowerment through Fasting, Jesus Our Living Hope, Revelation Expectations––we covered the entire Book of Revelation––Empowered Through Hope, and the current series Step into His Presence. The CGM series can be heard on our website—www.cgmissions.com/podcast—and on the following platforms: Apple, Spotify, Amazon, iHeartRadio, Pandora, and more.

Other CGM Accomplishments

Youth Development

CGM raised funds for Threads of Hope, an organization that helps thwart the sexual exploitation of children whose families live in extreme poverty. The families design and craft bracelets that Threads of Hope distributes worldwide. CGM also conducted youth media training at the Waterloo Public Access studio in Waterloo, Iowa (July 2013), ministered to youth in North Carolina at a school with a high rate of incarcerated parents (May 2012), and trained youth for missions to the Dominican Republic (2011 and 2013).

Publications, Television, Videos, Social Media

Film Production

Around 2011, Apostle Charles and I attended classes at Hawkeye Community College (HCC)) in Waterloo, Iowa, to learn film production and editing using the Final Cut Pro X (ten) program. I subsequently took a course in Denver, Colorado, to enhance my training with Final Cut Pro X.   The first film CGM produced was "Reflections of Faith" on March 10, 2012. This film was about my brother, Earl "Durkee" Johnson's miraculous healing from cancer. Since then, we have filmed, edited, and published to YouTube, at no charge, church services for the following churches: Gift of Life Church and Shilliam Avenue COGIC (Waterloo, Iowa), House of Praise Ministries (Maple Grove, Minnesota), Global Empact Ministries (Canton, Michigan), and Performing Christ Church and Word for the World Ministries (Chicago, Illinois).

In 2017, we published 50 Bible studies on Facebook. Stephanie presented on Tuesdays, and I presented on Fridays. Some of these presentations were converted to podcasts. Also, in 2017, we started a project entitled "The Widow's Might" to educate and encourage women who were widows through their transition from marriage to widowhood.

Trust Him God

The Trust Him God campaign––#TrustHimGod––was a series of one‑minute presentations on social media from October 2017 through September 2018. It included scriptures, videos, pictures, and poems encouraging people to trust God in whatever they were going through.

"Christmas Acapella" and "Don't Let Anything Steal Your Christmas"

Christmas is my favorite time of year, but it can also be depressing for many. So, in 2016, 2017, and 2018, I reached out during the season with a word of encouragement and a few verses from a Christmas song. I called it "Christmas Acapella" because I would sing the song segment without music.

To further encourage people during the Christmas season, I posted a series of short messages in 2018 based on my theme, "Don't Let Anything Steal Your Christmas." I added uplifting words and background music from our Christmas CD, "We Love Christmas." This was a morale booster for me as well.

Publications and Copyrights

CGM also published the “Mission Vision Newsletter” annually from 2012 through 2017. Two songs are copyrighted by the U.S. Copyright Office: "As It Is in Heaven" and "He's Coming Back.” In collaboration with MacAttack, L.L.C., Pastor James McNear, CGM, published a Christmas CD, "We Love Christmas," on November 19, 2018. It is listed on Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify, and other platforms for sale.

Public Access Television

In 2013, CGM broadcast videos on Public Access Television in Waterloo, Iowa, and later in Denver, Colorado, and Cedar Falls, Iowa. At that time, we reached a one-million-person audience.

The Dudleys

Charles and I met Michael and Andrea Dudley around 2002. They became our mentors and taught us about ministry etiquette while encouraging us to start a ministry. Andrea has her own publishing company, Habakkuk Publishing, and invited Charles and me to be authors in two of her book series. I was a contributing author to "Talitha Cumi: Mothers & Daughters Arise!" published on September 15, 2008. My article was entitled "Praying Your Dreams," in which I share how God impacts our lives through our dreams. Charles was a contributing author to "Game On: Becoming A Man That Pleases God." He shares a compelling story of combat while serving in the Vietnam War, the loss he suffered while there, and how he came to be decorated with a Purple Heart and Bronze Star with a "V" device.

We enjoyed appearing on the Dudley's Christian television program, Global E.M.P.A.C.T., on October 1, 2010. We had been married for 38 years and were asked to share our wisdom about marriage.

Andrea and Michael were guests on our podcast, Season 8, Episodes 6 and 8, "Hope Beyond Brokenness," on August 21 and September 5, 2021, respectively. They both shared stories of healing–Andrea miraculously recovered from a stroke with no signs of the attack, and Michael was healed from colon cancer in 2017 and prostate cancer in 2021. He shares his true story in "A Miracle Mindset—Cancer is Defeated, I Am Healed." Habbakuk Publishing 2020.

Ordination and Affiliation with Grace Covenant Fellowship, International

In February 2012, Apostle Charles and I were introduced to Apostle Dr. Timothy A. Treadwell of Grace Covenant Fellowship, International (GCFI). Since then, we have participated in annual GCFI conferences, convocations, and conference calls. In April 2016, we led one of the discussion groups, and in 2019, we organized the GCFI Women's Conference in Chicago.

We were ordained as apostles through GCFI on Saturday, August 23, 2014, by Chief Apostle Timothy A. Treadwell, Apostle Derrick Shephard, and Apostle Timothy Jones at Performing Christ Ministries in Chicago, Illinois.

CGM has supported and continues to support numerous local, national, and international ministries and non-profit organizations.
