He Quit a $250k Job for Heaven… and Still Had to Uber to Work

Host and Creator: Blonde Intelligence (Ms. Roni) Season 4 Episode 68

Hello, welcome to this week's Blonde Intelligence. I am your host Ms. Roni and I always seek to give you exquisite cranial repertoire. A wave of viral “rapture” timelines convinced people to hand over cars, quit six‑figure jobs, and even surrender children—only to wake up the next morning still here. We dig into the deeper question behind the headlines: who told you that you were ready for heaven, and what happens when belief outruns responsibility? With a candid, story‑driven look at faith, judgment, and everyday ethics, we unpack how grief, algorithms, and certainty theater can push smart people into irreversible choices.

We move from street‑level stories—a man Ubering to work after giving away his truck, a mother celebrating “freedom” after transferring six kids to CPS—to the frameworks people use to justify them: scripture about trumpets and timelines, folklore and prophecy, and broader metaphysical ideas about reincarnation, energy, and the persistence of spirit. Along the way we contrast spectacle with substance, asking what moral readiness actually looks like if judgment precedes reward, and how the golden rule can anchor decisions when emotions run hot.

True to our indie roots, we also pull lessons from the creative life: test your assumptions, seek outside counsel, and build a plan B that doesn’t hurt the people who trust you. If faith is real, it can survive a fact check—and if hope is sturdy, it doesn’t need a countdown clock. Stream for a grounded take on belief without the burnout, accountability without the shame, and practical steps that keep your future intact. If this conversation resonates, follow the show on your favorite platform, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review so others can find us too. @BlondeIntelligence

SPEAKER_01:

Hello everyone. Welcome to this week's Blonde Intelligence. I'm your host, Miss Ronnie, where I always seek to give you exquisite cranier repertoire. This week I'm gonna talk a little bit about these people who thought they was going home in the rapture. And I try not to make fun of people, but some of the things that I seen and the videos I looked at and I heard is ridiculous. And I guess I want to post it a question. Um, who decided that you were going to heaven? Now, I know in several teachings, whether you consider yourself religious, spiritual, whatever, it don't even matter. But there are some books that's written, such as the Bible, the Quran. There are certain things that you have to do on this earth in order to go home and live in heaven. Whether you believe in Jesus or you believe in Jesus only, you believe in um what is it? Um uh God only, Yahweh, uh the prophet Muhammad, whatever, Allah, Yahweh, like I said, however you want to paint it to be, because I've always believed that God is all things, He created all things, good and evil, and that's the way I live my life, and do unto others as you would have them to do unto you. So I was looking at some of these stories, and I didn't write them down because I am literally laying on the couch recording this podcast. But one woman gave away her children, she had six children, and she said she was going home to live with Jesus and gave her children to CPS custody. And when they say the rapture didn't happen, we don't know the rapture didn't happen. We just know that you didn't float away, and nobody told you about anybody floating away. And I'm gonna leave it at that because just because you didn't go don't mean that it didn't happen. I don't know what people are expecting, but it could be a rapture every day. Because there are several people that die every day. You don't know whether soul go to or what people believe. There could be a rapture every day, and you don't even know it because you didn't get to go. But back to the lady with the six children who gave her children to CPS, and she done a post afterwards saying that she has been living her best life. She realized that her children were, I guess, holding her back or holding her down. And my first thought was, Were you doing it by yourself? Where are these children's daddy? That you feel like giving your children over to CPS because you were going to you was going to heaven was a smart idea. No none of these people, no one thought about what if I don't go? And I'm like, what the whole Mary popping hell shit. But then there was one man said that he thought he was going home to live with Jesus. And he was using profanity. And I will say that studies say that people who use profanity are some of the most honest people that you will ever meet. And in this day and age, yeah, when people go to cussing or saying curse words or using profanity, however you want to say it, most of the time they are upset. But a person that just uses profanity in a vulgar way, I don't know. But I also think that using profanity is a part of an expression. I don't know what literary device you would put on it, but they make the words a little bit more colorful. But anyway, this man gave away his truck because he thought he was going home to live with Jesus. And again, I don't know who told these people that they were going home and that the rapture happened at that time, because from my understanding, no man knows the day nor the hour the Son of Man shall return. And these people didn't even go through judgment day, for which we're not supposed to judge, we're gonna be judged by the Heavenly Father, and then you were chosen to go home or something in that order. I don't know, because it's different from my understanding, the dead and Christ supposed to rise first. So I don't know how these people thought that they was gonna be lifted up into the air and go home with Jesus since the dead and Christ are supposed to rise first. You know, I'm just a little confused on what rules they had for going to heaven. No. So back to the man. Anyway, the man had to go to work. And he woke up and realized that he wasn't in heaven, and he had to take an Uber to work. And when he got there, his boss asked him, Why are you late? He said, I had to catch Uber. He was like, Why? He was like, Because I was supposed to F and go home and live with Jesus, but I had to go to F and work. Okay. Is your heaven not having to work? I mean, I'm sure that you can have pieces of heaven on earth because another understanding that I may have wrong, but during the what they call it, the revelations, that hell is gonna be on earth. And so we're probably around that time, and they talk about the book of Revelation and the the six small horns and the I mean the six large horns and the one small horn. And I listened to psychic readers talk about how the small horn represents the United States. So it's a whole lot of things that will go into the decisions that you would make on is this really the rapture. You have people outside playing trumpets because they're signaling the rapture. But who appointed him or her to play the trumpet? I thought the angels was supposed to sound the trumpets. You know, so I'm a little confused on again the rules that these people had for the rapture. Then they said that it all stemmed from a TikTok video. A woman who had just lost her husband decided that Jesus was talking to her, telling her that it was time. And it will let you know that some of these things are ludicrous. And I wonder why do people be so ready to look for other alternative to this life. Now, I think I take from a little bit of all religions because I believe in reincarnation, not as animals, but when I think of born again, I think of reincarnation, that you're able to right the wrongs in the next life. But I also believe in witches and warlocks that can travel through lifetimes and come back as certain people because they say the spirit don't die, and science say the energy is not destroyed, it's transferred. So I know that a lot a lot of the I would say explanations for phenomena, especially like through mythology, stems from natural phenomena not being able to be understood or explained. So people came up with their own um reasoning for such as why thunderstorms happen. And I think that God is a mysterious God and that everything that everybody says is all an incorporation of what God said it was gonna be, and whatever book that you read or whatever your beliefs are, some people praise the sign. Hey, do what you do, but I just still ponder the question who decided that you were going to heaven and that you were going at that time, because if you hadn't been judged, you have to look back over all the things in your life and try to right the wrongs that you have done. I I try to treat people like how I want to be treated, but I also am the type of person that will stand up for myself. And if you lie to me, I can see it. If you lie on me, I know it. And I don't even try to counteract you or anything, because I said before, the truth always prevails. But saying you're living your best life because you sent your children to CPS and that you woke up and you were still at Effenberg, and I mean just some of the stories. One woman, she said yes to the person who sold me your car for$500, you're not getting it back. These people sold houses, gave away cars, burnt money. Uh one man had a$250,000 a year job that he quit. Why you just didn't take vacation time? I'm like totally appalled at the lack of planning and follow-through and plan B's for these people. But that's all I have for this week. And I may come back because I wanted to talk about the Cardi and Nikki situation. Above the Cardi and Nikki situation. But I will save that for a later time because I'm sure that it will be more to come out on that. But anyway, you can find the podcast on all your podcasts, favorite podcasting platforms.
