Paving the way in the boys club with Sue Tipton and Norma Poole
Meet Sue and Norma. Sue is the owner and wine maker at Acquiesce Winery, the only all white wine winery in Lodi, CA. She didn't start out as a winemaker, she was simply chasing a dream and following it to wherever it led her. Today, she is an award winning wine maker and one of the only female winery owners in California.
Norma is the sommelier at Acquiesce Winery, where is has truly found her connection. Norma was one of the first female sommeliers in the industry and one of the only one's to hold the certification of master sommelier. Both of these ladies started their careers in wine later in life; they wanted something more and they were both willing to step out of their comfort zones to get it.
