In this solocast I talk about alcohol and it's effect on our kids. Sometimes it can be really hard and really painful to take an honest look at yourself and to acknowledge that alcohol is effecting those little people we are raising. It can be the smallest thing like letting them go to bed to late, to not being there to protect them when they need you. My kids were one of the main reasons I decided to quit drinking. I wanted better for myself and I wanted to be a better Mum for them. I didn't want my kids seeing me drunk or seeing me act in a way that was not cool. That was enough for me to decide and then take serious action towards giving up and I never looked back.
It's never too late to change or to step up and be the example for your kids or for other kids around you.
