How to Hire, Manage and Retain A-Level Performers
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
You can’t have an A-level business with C-level performers. If you want to have more impact on your marketplace, develop your people to have greater impact and the quickest way to grow your company is to grow your people. I’m going to say that again because it’s ridiculously important. You might not need more people. You might not have to fire any people. Maybe you’re just not mentoring, coaching, inspiring, developing the latent talent in your people enough.
And remember - external leadership begins with internal mastery. You can’t help in the building of an extraordinary organization until you commit to becoming an extraordinary person.
My new book “The Wealth Money Can’t Buy” is full of fresh ideas and original tools that I’m absolutely certain will cause quantum leaps in your positivity, productivity, wellness, and happiness. You can order it now by clicking here.
Hire Picasso's and then once you have them at your company, here's another mission-critical point that world-class companies and the best ones I've worked with absolutely get right. They wanna make sure that not only do they have the best talent but the best talent is in the right role. You wanna hire people who just, they just can't sleep at night if details are not. done if they're in a role where details are important. You wanna hire people who just love working. Some of my best teammates were raised on the farm, so getting up early, working really hard, and outworking everyone around them is just their nature. You wanna hire people who would never take a coin from someone that they did not earn, so they are impeccably honest. You wanna hire people in their free time. One of the great hiring questions is, what was the last challenge that you faced? Why did you? Do it, and what was your strategy, and what was your result? And if they said, well, you know what? I just decided to run a marathon. I just decided to read a very difficult book. I just learned Chinese. You know, whatever it is, you wanna hire people who love to grow.
