I’ve never subscribed to the “hustle and grind” philosophy that makes us feel guilty if we’re not working 24/7/365 and though I’ve done my best to inspire my readers and clients to aim for legendary and do their masterwork I’ve also taught that time for rest, regeneration and doing nothing is also profoundly important.
 
Having said this, work matters. And working hard is wise. Work gives us deep meaning (if we make the time to look for it), frees us from boredom and keeps us younger. Your work offers you the chance to help and serve the people that you are paid to help and serve.

You know very well that a job is only a job if you choose to see it as a job. All work is an offering. All work is a chance for you to go to the jagged edges of your potential to build intimacy with your gifts and your talents. Please see your work as sacred. Even if no one sees the great work you do, you see it. That is a win because you do grow in self-respect, you grow in self-love, you grow in true power. and no one can ever take that luxury good, so to speak, away from you. So the principle I want you to play with is work is offering. Second principle, MMC. I want you to start seeing yourself more than ever before as a multiple masterwork creator. This will give you a GCA, a gargantuan competitive advantage, because here is something to think about. We live in a world right now, especially the last few years, where there aren't a lot of people who are really good at what they do. Isn't that interesting? There are not many Picasso's or Mozart's or Federer's or Serena Williams's or the great masters. There's not many great masters out there anymore. So many people are in a digital trance. So many people are busy being busy.So many people have... fallen into a default mindset of entitlement. So this is a huge opportunity for you to push magic into the marketplace and see your work as a chance to change the world and to wow all witnesses. When you do your Project X, whether it takes you a month, whether it takes you a lifetime, I want you to make sure you do it with such painstaking care and OAD, attention to detail and you invest so much mastery and so much patience and so much love that once you push it out into the world, people are breathtaking by how great it is.
