I deeply believe that one must fight for what is right.

To stand for your principles, remain loyal to your values and protect that which is most important to you is what strengthens your character, fuels your heroism and protects your self respect.

I get that.

Martin Luther King Jr once said “when men become silent...

And yet, I’ve also learned this: no fight is worth the loss of your peace of mind.

Lose that [or your happiness or your health or your good name or your creativity's] and you’ve lost everything.

And so, it’s all a balance, isn’t it? Pick your battles carefully. Sometimes you must defend your honor. And sometimes you need to see the larger picture and play the longer game. And just move ahead.

Why make an enemy when you can make a friend? I better say that again because I think that one is so extraordinarily important. You go online, you hear so many commentators saying, oh, I'll take that person down. Oh, this is making me an alpha. Oh, this is how true leaders operate. And then they get stuck in conflict for two or three years and they lose millions, if not billions, just to make a point. I'm not at all saying don't be fierce. when you need to protect and defend what's most important to you. But pick your battles wisely. And why make an enemy when you can have the wisdom to make a friend? I want you to have a social circle of heroes. A social circle of heroes. If there are certain people you want to meet and have dinner with, reach out to them. It's never been so easy to send a direct message or find a way to get to someone and add some value to them and start a friendship. that could end up in a lifelong connection that serves you both incredibly well.
