Part-time commitment yields part-time results. You have a lot of people in the world, they want the rewards of world class, but they're not willing to do what world class requires. You know what psychologists call that? They call it magical thinking. You don't want to fall into the trap of too many good souls right now who are all about entitlement. They don't want to roll up their sleeves. They don't want to get messy. They don't want to put in any sweat equity. They don't want to fail, but they expect beautiful results in terms of their health and productivity and personal life and financial life and lifestyle. Kobe Bryant made a lot of very unbelievably amazing shots in the final two seconds of the championship game. But please remember that games are won before a foot is placed on the court. I'll repeat that again because it's so important. Championships are won before the game even starts. Kobe played by Kobe in those last minutes of intense pressure, put the ball in the net to win the championship for the Lakers because he had practiced the same shot tens of thousands of times. Few people ever practiced like Kobe. As a matter of fact, he was in an interview and I still love thinking about this interview. And he said, you know, when I got into the NBA,I thought everyone in the NBA would practice hard and take it totally seriously, but I realized a lot of people, once they got into the NBA, their dream was done. And so they stopped practicing and they formed an entourage and they would be partying and they just went to the essential one practice each day. He said, I realized if I got into the gym, get this, at four o'clock and did a workout, went home and had some breakfast, got back into the gym later in the morning, went home, did some lunch, did some other thing. went back and did a third practice in the afternoon, went home, had dinner, changed, showered, and went back and did an evening practice each and every day. After five years, I would develop an advantage that was so big, no one in the league could ever catch up with me. So repetition is the mother of mastery. And the way you do one thing is the way you do everything. And so I want you to repeat. the winning practices that you're learning from me over and over and over again. I want you to study and make good notes of what I'm sharing with you as your mentor from afar so you get to mastery.
