Worldly Success Doesn't Guarantee Inner Peace

Robin Sharma Season 1 Episode 1165

If your whole focus is on making money, it's off-delivering the staggering value that will create the fanatical followers who will pay you money.

Of course, serve for the beauty and internal fulfillment of serving. But know that the inevitable by-product of phenomenal service to others [your customers, communities etc.] is material prosperity well-beyond anything you've yet to experience.

This way of thinking is so contrarian to the way most businesspeople think [and that's why most businesspeople never join the ranks of the financial and influential elite].

The more you connect with a cause that is of helpfulness to other humans, the chains of your previously perceived reality fall away.

And you will ascend toward a happiness that knows few bounds. And a peace that requires no luxuries.

This is what my latest book The Wealth Money Can’t Buy is all about. Real wealth versus fake success. True winning versus spending your life climbing a mountain, only to find out at the end that it was the wrong one. You can order it now by clicking here.

Do not make your identity dependent on how much money you have. That's the trap most people fall into because then they lose the money or they lose the fame or they lose the applause and they take it very badly. So play the game in the sense of be famous if that's something you want to do. Make a lot of money, but don't be dependent on that kind of thing. If you are someone that deep within you, deep within your spirit, you have a strong core of joy and peace, and freedom, well then you are like the great mystics. The world could be falling apart. There could be a world war. There could be an economic depression. You could be under attack by trolls and critics and jealous cynics. But every day you wake up and you have inner peace and you have a joy that knows no limits and you have true freedom, that, my friend, is the wealth money can't buy.
