Win at your own scoreboard. This world wants you to be as it wishes you will be. Too many good souls have given themselves over to the herd. They are almost like sheeple versus people. They're not thinking for themselves. They're not architecting grand lives on their own terms. It makes me think of Leo Tolstoy's short story, The Death of Ivan Illich. And he got to the end of his life and he asked himself a fundamentally heartbreaking question. What if my whole life was a lie? Let me ask you, are you living your days measuring success based on society's scoreboard or a scoreboard which you have created? I want you to live life on your own terms. When I was 21 or so, my mentor, as we were walking along the Atlantic seaside, he said something to me I've never forgotten. He said, "Robin, run your own race" and I'm encouraging you to stay in your own lane and find your own scoreboard and say, here's what success looks like and here's what wealth looks like. And I think it's really important that you trust your own instincts, set up your own values and live life on your own terms. That is a form of rich. Authenticity is the new luxury. I better say that again because I think it's so valuable to you. Authenticity is the new luxury.
