So kind of looking at"},{"startTime":182.49,"endTime":187.8,"body":"not just dogs that maybe don't"},{"startTime":187.8,"endTime":191.79,"body":"have those needs, but to ensure"},{"startTime":187.8,"endTime":191.79,"body":"we're taking in are considering"},{"startTime":191.79,"endTime":195.54,"body":"all of the dogs and having the"},{"startTime":191.79,"endTime":195.54,"body":"resources to take in those dogs"},{"startTime":195.54,"endTime":199.38,"body":"and address their specific"},{"startTime":195.54,"endTime":199.38,"body":"concerns. That'd be a way of"},{"startTime":199.38,"endTime":203.7,"body":"putting it. Absolutely. I think"},{"startTime":199.38,"endTime":203.7,"body":"that along with resources, you"},{"startTime":203.7,"endTime":207.12,"body":"have to ensure that you have the"},{"startTime":203.7,"endTime":207.12,"body":"proper number of foster homes."},{"startTime":207.12,"endTime":211.53,"body":"So we're not also getting into"},{"startTime":207.12,"endTime":211.53,"body":"this gray area of warehousing"},{"startTime":211.53,"endTime":215.49,"body":"jobs with kind of nowhere to put"},{"startTime":211.53,"endTime":215.49,"body":"them foster homes and having"},{"startTime":215.49,"endTime":220.56,"body":"enough of them and training your"},{"startTime":215.49,"endTime":220.56,"body":"foster homes on proper protocols"},{"startTime":220.68,"endTime":226.62,"body":"is really what a dog needs to be"},{"startTime":220.68,"endTime":226.62,"body":"successful. In order to be able"},{"startTime":226.62,"endTime":230.61,"body":"to give the dog the proper"},{"startTime":226.62,"endTime":230.61,"body":"opportunity to integrate into a"},{"startTime":230.61,"endTime":235.59,"body":"home and settle in and see how"},{"startTime":230.61,"endTime":235.59,"body":"they're going to do with all"},{"startTime":235.59,"endTime":239.67,"body":"kinds of different scenarios is"},{"startTime":235.59,"endTime":239.67,"body":"really the key to their success."},{"startTime":240.45,"endTime":242.82,"body":"Yeah, that's a really good"},{"startTime":240.45,"endTime":242.82,"body":"point. Because it sounds like"},{"startTime":242.85,"endTime":245.85,"body":"what one of the first things to"},{"startTime":242.85,"endTime":245.85,"body":"consider before you even start a"},{"startTime":245.85,"endTime":249.27,"body":"rescue is the resources you"},{"startTime":245.85,"endTime":249.27,"body":"have. So not just a time"},{"startTime":249.27,"endTime":251.91,"body":"commitment and the willingness"},{"startTime":249.27,"endTime":251.91,"body":"to want to save animals but"},{"startTime":251.91,"endTime":254.73,"body":"actually putting together those"},{"startTime":251.91,"endTime":254.73,"body":"resources and kind of"},{"startTime":254.73,"endTime":258.03,"body":"understanding what resources are"},{"startTime":254.73,"endTime":258.03,"body":"needed. Right. So you mentioned"},{"startTime":258.03,"endTime":261.84,"body":"the behavior, the medical aspect"},{"startTime":258.03,"endTime":261.84,"body":"in the foster homes and having a"},{"startTime":261.84,"endTime":266.46,"body":"network already kind of"},{"startTime":261.84,"endTime":266.46,"body":"established. And before jumping"},{"startTime":266.46,"endTime":268.68,"body":"into that because I know when I"},{"startTime":266.46,"endTime":268.68,"body":"first started in the rescue"},{"startTime":268.68,"endTime":271.59,"body":"world, I was with a very"},{"startTime":268.68,"endTime":271.59,"body":"responsible I thought at the"},{"startTime":271.59,"endTime":274.95,"body":"time rescue and it was it still"},{"startTime":271.59,"endTime":274.95,"body":"is very, very good rescue. And"},{"startTime":274.98,"endTime":278.16,"body":"it was a lab rescue. And you"},{"startTime":274.98,"endTime":278.16,"body":"know, it's not something you"},{"startTime":278.16,"endTime":280.53,"body":"consider, you know, like, oh"},{"startTime":278.16,"endTime":280.53,"body":"yeah, love would love to foster"},{"startTime":280.53,"endTime":283.71,"body":"dogs love to work with rescue,"},{"startTime":280.53,"endTime":283.71,"body":"but you don't think about the"},{"startTime":283.71,"endTime":287.07,"body":"things later on that you start"},{"startTime":283.71,"endTime":287.07,"body":"learning about actually. So when"},{"startTime":287.07,"endTime":288.78,"body":"you first started thinking like"},{"startTime":287.07,"endTime":288.78,"body":"Alright, I'm gonna start a"},{"startTime":288.78,"endTime":291.15,"body":"rescue, you know, and we're"},{"startTime":288.78,"endTime":291.15,"body":"gonna save lots of dogs."},{"startTime":291.36,"endTime":295.32,"body":"Sometimes we don't. There's like"},{"startTime":291.36,"endTime":295.32,"body":"no school for like, you know how"},{"startTime":295.32,"endTime":299.28,"body":"to start a rescue like 101 or"},{"startTime":295.32,"endTime":299.28,"body":"right. We wish there was in some"},{"startTime":299.28,"endTime":299.97,"body":"cases right?"},{"startTime":300.0,"endTime":303.72,"body":"But there's no real education on"},{"startTime":300.0,"endTime":303.72,"body":"how to do that. So you mentioned"},{"startTime":303.72,"endTime":307.5,"body":"many of the important aspects of"},{"startTime":303.72,"endTime":307.5,"body":"it. So you also talked about"},{"startTime":307.5,"endTime":312.51,"body":"safety. So like public safety"},{"startTime":307.5,"endTime":312.51,"body":"and assessing risk. So let's say"},{"startTime":312.51,"endTime":316.11,"body":"given a rescue is wanting to be"},{"startTime":312.51,"endTime":316.11,"body":"responsible and ethical, what"},{"startTime":316.11,"endTime":320.19,"body":"are some of the aspects to"},{"startTime":316.11,"endTime":320.19,"body":"consider when we are partaking"},{"startTime":320.19,"endTime":322.65,"body":"in dogs that have behavioral"},{"startTime":320.19,"endTime":322.65,"body":"issues, and we also want to"},{"startTime":322.65,"endTime":323.88,"body":"consider the public safety."},{"startTime":324.99,"endTime":328.71,"body":"I think the most important thing"},{"startTime":324.99,"endTime":328.71,"body":"for people to remember is public"},{"startTime":328.71,"endTime":331.95,"body":"safety. We're not just talking"},{"startTime":328.71,"endTime":331.95,"body":"about people. But we're also"},{"startTime":331.95,"endTime":336.63,"body":"talking about other dogs in the"},{"startTime":331.95,"endTime":336.63,"body":"community, as well. So you're"},{"startTime":336.63,"endTime":341.85,"body":"talking about men, women, and"},{"startTime":336.63,"endTime":341.85,"body":"children, teenagers, but also,"},{"startTime":342.03,"endTime":346.53,"body":"everybody else has pets. So it's"},{"startTime":342.03,"endTime":346.53,"body":"important that if you have a dog"},{"startTime":346.53,"endTime":350.16,"body":"that does have some aggressive"},{"startTime":346.53,"endTime":350.16,"body":"tendencies, and they are a dog"},{"startTime":350.16,"endTime":354.69,"body":"reactive, that we're making sure"},{"startTime":350.16,"endTime":354.69,"body":"that if there is a safety"},{"startTime":354.69,"endTime":359.19,"body":"failure, or management failure,"},{"startTime":354.69,"endTime":359.19,"body":"and any home that somebody's"},{"startTime":359.22,"endTime":364.11,"body":"companion isn't going to be"},{"startTime":359.22,"endTime":364.11,"body":"permanently injured for life,"},{"startTime":364.11,"endTime":367.89,"body":"and injuries are more than just"},{"startTime":364.11,"endTime":367.89,"body":"physical injuries, all it takes"},{"startTime":367.89,"endTime":372.9,"body":"is one time for your companion"},{"startTime":367.89,"endTime":372.9,"body":"to get hurt by another animal"},{"startTime":373.11,"endTime":378.03,"body":"for them to develop their own"},{"startTime":373.11,"endTime":378.03,"body":"emotional issues. I think having"},{"startTime":378.21,"endTime":382.47,"body":"a dog obviously, being nice and"},{"startTime":378.21,"endTime":382.47,"body":"temperament to people is really"},{"startTime":382.47,"endTime":387.6,"body":"important, but we sometimes"},{"startTime":382.47,"endTime":387.6,"body":"overlook how they are with other"},{"startTime":387.6,"endTime":391.44,"body":"animals. Sure, we can say they"},{"startTime":387.6,"endTime":391.44,"body":"have to be an only dog in the"},{"startTime":391.44,"endTime":396.42,"body":"home. But what happens if they"},{"startTime":391.44,"endTime":396.42,"body":"do encounter another dog if they"},{"startTime":396.42,"endTime":401.04,"body":"get gets left open, or they get"},{"startTime":396.42,"endTime":401.04,"body":"off lead or anything like that."},{"startTime":401.79,"endTime":405.48,"body":"So you've done, you know, work"},{"startTime":401.79,"endTime":405.48,"body":"with rescues Doberman rescue,"},{"startTime":405.51,"endTime":409.8,"body":"for instance, and maybe some"},{"startTime":405.51,"endTime":409.8,"body":"breeds that there's a higher"},{"startTime":410.04,"endTime":413.07,"body":"likelihood for aggression, or we"},{"startTime":410.04,"endTime":413.07,"body":"might see higher likelihood of"},{"startTime":413.07,"endTime":415.26,"body":"aggression because humans have"},{"startTime":413.07,"endTime":415.26,"body":"actually asked for that"},{"startTime":415.26,"endTime":418.38,"body":"particular aspect in some"},{"startTime":415.26,"endTime":418.38,"body":"breeds. But when it kind of"},{"startTime":418.38,"endTime":423.48,"body":"think about all of the variables"},{"startTime":418.38,"endTime":423.48,"body":"a rescue may face, so not just a"},{"startTime":423.48,"endTime":425.46,"body":"breed specific, so we can get"},{"startTime":423.48,"endTime":425.46,"body":"into a certain breed, we"},{"startTime":425.46,"endTime":427.95,"body":"understand that breed and we"},{"startTime":425.46,"endTime":427.95,"body":"started read rescue, right, but"},{"startTime":427.95,"endTime":431.34,"body":"what about all the other"},{"startTime":427.95,"endTime":431.34,"body":"variables to consider along that"},{"startTime":431.34,"endTime":435.06,"body":"topic of safety? So we can"},{"startTime":431.34,"endTime":435.06,"body":"certainly jump into the topic of"},{"startTime":435.06,"endTime":438.15,"body":"what resources are available,"},{"startTime":435.06,"endTime":438.15,"body":"but just along those lines, if"},{"startTime":438.15,"endTime":440.88,"body":"somebody's starting a rescue?"},{"startTime":438.15,"endTime":440.88,"body":"Can you expand a little further"},{"startTime":440.91,"endTime":445.11,"body":"on what they should be looking"},{"startTime":440.91,"endTime":445.11,"body":"for? And maybe specifics? Or"},{"startTime":445.11,"endTime":449.19,"body":"maybe even give an example of a"},{"startTime":445.11,"endTime":449.19,"body":"case in which certain specifics,"},{"startTime":449.61,"endTime":452.46,"body":"sort of made or broke that"},{"startTime":449.61,"endTime":452.46,"body":"decision on? Is this dog"},{"startTime":452.46,"endTime":455.19,"body":"adoptable or not? Or are we"},{"startTime":452.46,"endTime":455.19,"body":"going to take this dog into our"},{"startTime":455.19,"endTime":457.59,"body":"rescue or not? What are the"},{"startTime":455.19,"endTime":457.59,"body":"variables that you would"},{"startTime":457.59,"endTime":459.54,"body":"consider for that safety aspect?"},{"startTime":460.56,"endTime":465.78,"body":"I think that obviously, the size"},{"startTime":460.56,"endTime":465.78,"body":"and power of the breed is a big"},{"startTime":465.78,"endTime":471.0,"body":"one. Obviously, we don't want to"},{"startTime":465.78,"endTime":471.0,"body":"excuse a small breed dog that"},{"startTime":471.0,"endTime":476.88,"body":"has been dozens of times, that"},{"startTime":471.0,"endTime":476.88,"body":"is just as much of a liability"},{"startTime":476.88,"endTime":481.02,"body":"as you know, a Doberman that"},{"startTime":476.88,"endTime":481.02,"body":"bites one time, you know, it"},{"startTime":481.02,"endTime":482.76,"body":"doesn't matter the size of the"},{"startTime":481.02,"endTime":482.76,"body":"dog."},{"startTime":483.99,"endTime":487.44,"body":"It's still a liability. But"},{"startTime":483.99,"endTime":487.44,"body":"obviously, the damage that a dog"},{"startTime":487.44,"endTime":491.64,"body":"can deliver would be one of the"},{"startTime":487.44,"endTime":491.64,"body":"biggest ones. And then how often"},{"startTime":491.64,"endTime":494.97,"body":"and how long has this dog been"},{"startTime":491.64,"endTime":494.97,"body":"able to practice this behavior?"},{"startTime":494.97,"endTime":499.56,"body":"So is it an isolated incident"},{"startTime":494.97,"endTime":499.56,"body":"where there was an error in"},{"startTime":499.56,"endTime":503.04,"body":"handling where someone went to"},{"startTime":499.56,"endTime":503.04,"body":"take a bone away or stuck their"},{"startTime":503.04,"endTime":507.36,"body":"hand in food? Or was a child"},{"startTime":503.04,"endTime":507.36,"body":"that was, you know, unsupervised"},{"startTime":507.36,"endTime":511.41,"body":"in approach to a food bowl? Or"},{"startTime":507.36,"endTime":511.41,"body":"is it really a dog that is"},{"startTime":511.44,"endTime":516.06,"body":"displaying kind of explosive and"},{"startTime":511.44,"endTime":516.06,"body":"unpredictable, unprovoked"},{"startTime":516.15,"endTime":521.88,"body":"aggression that you can't really"},{"startTime":516.15,"endTime":521.88,"body":"predict so well, would be one of"},{"startTime":521.88,"endTime":526.02,"body":"the biggest ones. I think how"},{"startTime":521.88,"endTime":526.02,"body":"long a dog has been allowed to"},{"startTime":526.26,"endTime":530.07,"body":"habitually practice something is"},{"startTime":526.26,"endTime":530.07,"body":"going to be a big indicator of"},{"startTime":530.07,"endTime":533.19,"body":"whether or not that's something"},{"startTime":530.07,"endTime":533.19,"body":"you can even modify and"},{"startTime":533.19,"endTime":534.75,"body":"rehabilitate in the future."},{"startTime":535.89,"endTime":539.61,"body":"Do you feel like there's a sort"},{"startTime":535.89,"endTime":539.61,"body":"of a firm line in the sand for"},{"startTime":539.61,"endTime":542.88,"body":"where you would say this dog is"},{"startTime":539.61,"endTime":542.88,"body":"absolutely not adoptable,"},{"startTime":543.27,"endTime":546.36,"body":"regardless of the rescue"},{"startTime":543.27,"endTime":546.36,"body":"organization, so let's say you"},{"startTime":546.36,"endTime":550.29,"body":"have two rescue organizations"},{"startTime":546.36,"endTime":550.29,"body":"looking at the same dog one is"},{"startTime":550.62,"endTime":553.56,"body":"two people or one person running"},{"startTime":550.62,"endTime":553.56,"body":"the rescue themselves. They"},{"startTime":553.56,"endTime":555.72,"body":"don't have a lot of resources,"},{"startTime":553.56,"endTime":555.72,"body":"they don't have a lot of access"},{"startTime":555.72,"endTime":559.11,"body":"to trainers. And then you have"},{"startTime":555.72,"endTime":559.11,"body":"another rescue that has a board"},{"startTime":559.11,"endTime":563.16,"body":"of directors, tons of support,"},{"startTime":559.11,"endTime":563.16,"body":"tons of finances, resources,"},{"startTime":563.28,"endTime":566.28,"body":"veterinary behaviors, trainers,"},{"startTime":563.28,"endTime":566.28,"body":"and all of that, and we're"},{"startTime":566.28,"endTime":570.33,"body":"looking at the same job, do find"},{"startTime":566.28,"endTime":570.33,"body":"that the amount of resources can"},{"startTime":570.36,"endTime":574.14,"body":"really skew the decision making"},{"startTime":570.36,"endTime":574.14,"body":"process for the outcome of a"},{"startTime":574.14,"endTime":579.78,"body":"dog. And there's a lot"},{"startTime":649.2,"endTime":651.42,"body":"of variables to that, right. So"},{"startTime":649.2,"endTime":651.42,"body":"you know, sometimes they don't"},{"startTime":651.42,"endTime":654.15,"body":"know if the dogs bite history,"},{"startTime":651.42,"endTime":654.15,"body":"the rescue, you know, is not"},{"startTime":654.15,"endTime":656.61,"body":"being told the truth themselves"},{"startTime":654.15,"endTime":656.61,"body":"and the dog does really well in"},{"startTime":656.61,"endTime":659.13,"body":"a foster home. But then they go"},{"startTime":656.61,"endTime":659.13,"body":"to a new home, where we're"},{"startTime":659.13,"endTime":661.56,"body":"replicating, perhaps some"},{"startTime":659.13,"endTime":661.56,"body":"antecedent arrangement or"},{"startTime":661.56,"endTime":664.8,"body":"context in which the dog would"},{"startTime":661.56,"endTime":664.8,"body":"display aggressive behavior. But"},{"startTime":664.8,"endTime":667.35,"body":"it was never replicated during"},{"startTime":664.8,"endTime":667.35,"body":"that whole time the dog was with"},{"startTime":667.35,"endTime":670.23,"body":"that rescue. So if I see that"},{"startTime":799.35,"endTime":802.92,"body":"missing from any sort of mission"},{"startTime":799.35,"endTime":802.92,"body":"statement, or stance or anything"},{"startTime":802.92,"endTime":806.7,"body":"like that, that's kind of a red"},{"startTime":802.92,"endTime":806.7,"body":"flag to me, because every single"},{"startTime":807.03,"endTime":810.63,"body":"ethical rescue or rescues that I"},{"startTime":807.03,"endTime":810.63,"body":"consider ethical as far as"},{"startTime":810.63,"endTime":814.11,"body":"behavior go, are very vocal"},{"startTime":810.63,"endTime":814.11,"body":"about what their behavior"},{"startTime":814.11,"endTime":818.31,"body":"program is, they take it very"},{"startTime":814.11,"endTime":818.31,"body":"seriously, even in their"},{"startTime":818.31,"endTime":822.03,"body":"volunteer verbiage and things"},{"startTime":818.31,"endTime":822.03,"body":"like that you can find their"},{"startTime":822.03,"endTime":825.06,"body":"expectations for foster homes"},{"startTime":822.03,"endTime":825.06,"body":"and the type of training that"},{"startTime":825.06,"endTime":828.93,"body":"you're going to need to go"},{"startTime":825.06,"endTime":828.93,"body":"through. So while we are the"},{"startTime":1140.33,"endTime":1143.81,"body":"biggest, Doberman rescue in the"},{"startTime":1140.33,"endTime":1143.81,"body":"United States, we're still a"},{"startTime":1143.81,"endTime":1148.28,"body":"small localized rescue, you"},{"startTime":1143.81,"endTime":1148.28,"body":"know, they help Illinois,"},{"startTime":1148.28,"endTime":1152.69,"body":"Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, the"},{"startTime":1148.28,"endTime":1152.69,"body":"surrounding states, it's not"},{"startTime":1152.69,"endTime":1156.41,"body":"like they're nationwide. So"},{"startTime":1152.69,"endTime":1156.41,"body":"still a very small rescue. So"},{"startTime":1156.41,"endTime":1159.98,"body":"everyone was very hands on. So"},{"startTime":1156.41,"endTime":1159.98,"body":"all of the board members were"},{"startTime":1159.98,"endTime":1164.24,"body":"involved with voting for intakes"},{"startTime":1159.98,"endTime":1164.24,"body":"and things like that. I think"},{"startTime":1164.24,"endTime":1168.23,"body":"probably the hardest discussion"},{"startTime":1164.24,"endTime":1168.23,"body":"to have with somebody is the"},{"startTime":1168.23,"endTime":1171.74,"body":"fact that their dog isn't"},{"startTime":1168.23,"endTime":1171.74,"body":"suitable for adoption and really"},{"startTime":1171.74,"endTime":1174.38,"body":"what their options are and"},{"startTime":1171.74,"endTime":1174.38,"body":"trying to get them to understand"},{"startTime":1174.38,"endTime":1178.67,"body":"that they also have a"},{"startTime":1174.38,"endTime":1178.67,"body":"responsibility to public safety"},{"startTime":1178.67,"endTime":1184.58,"body":"and the life that they chose"},{"startTime":1178.67,"endTime":1184.58,"body":"responsibility for so one of the"},{"startTime":1184.58,"endTime":1188.0,"body":"main things we would always ask"},{"startTime":1184.58,"endTime":1188.0,"body":"to start out with is where the"},{"startTime":1188.0,"endTime":1191.12,"body":"dog came from. So if it did come"},{"startTime":1188.0,"endTime":1191.12,"body":"from a breeder than we asked"},{"startTime":1191.12,"endTime":1194.27,"body":"them to contact the breeder"},{"startTime":1191.12,"endTime":1194.27,"body":"because any good breeder which"},{"startTime":1194.27,"endTime":1198.56,"body":"this is another can of worms"},{"startTime":1194.27,"endTime":1198.56,"body":"with good breeders, so we won't"},{"startTime":1198.56,"endTime":1199.97,"body":"get into it. And this is where"},{"startTime":1231.44,"endTime":1234.8,"body":"your dog should really feel the"},{"startTime":1234.8,"endTime":1239.33,"body":"safest and have the biggest"},{"startTime":1234.8,"endTime":1239.33,"body":"bond. So depending on what the"},{"startTime":1239.33,"endTime":1242.33,"body":"behavior and what is happening,"},{"startTime":1239.33,"endTime":1242.33,"body":"but if you have a dog that's"},{"startTime":1242.9,"endTime":1246.23,"body":"aggressive after its owner,"},{"startTime":1242.9,"endTime":1246.23,"body":"frequently and unprovoked, you"},{"startTime":1246.23,"endTime":1251.12,"body":"know, what makes that person"},{"startTime":1246.23,"endTime":1251.12,"body":"think that volunteers or shelter"},{"startTime":1251.12,"endTime":1255.44,"body":"workers would be in any better"},{"startTime":1251.12,"endTime":1255.44,"body":"position to kind of handle this."},{"startTime":1255.44,"endTime":1260.39,"body":"And inevitably, the conversation"},{"startTime":1255.44,"endTime":1260.39,"body":"always goes into a little bit of"},{"startTime":1260.39,"endTime":1263.66,"body":"behavior, you know, what happens"},{"startTime":1260.39,"endTime":1263.66,"body":"to a dog when they come into"},{"startTime":1263.69,"endTime":1266.99,"body":"rescue? What does that process"},{"startTime":1263.69,"endTime":1266.99,"body":"of transfer even look like? So"},{"startTime":1268.19,"endTime":1271.1,"body":"let's say you bring your dog to"},{"startTime":1268.19,"endTime":1271.1,"body":"a shelter. So it comes from the"},{"startTime":1271.1,"endTime":1275.21,"body":"home, it's always known into a"},{"startTime":1271.1,"endTime":1275.21,"body":"noisy shelter or a busy shelter,"},{"startTime":1275.51,"endTime":1279.89,"body":"depending on what type of"},{"startTime":1275.51,"endTime":1279.89,"body":"Municipality it is, or what have"},{"startTime":1279.89,"endTime":1283.76,"body":"you. And then it may go to"},{"startTime":1279.89,"endTime":1283.76,"body":"rescue into one of their"},{"startTime":1283.76,"endTime":1287.6,"body":"facilities, if they use"},{"startTime":1283.76,"endTime":1287.6,"body":"veterinary clinics to board if"},{"startTime":1287.6,"endTime":1290.84,"body":"it goes straight into a foster"},{"startTime":1287.6,"endTime":1290.84,"body":"home, maybe it's a temporary"},{"startTime":1290.84,"endTime":1293.6,"body":"foster home. So you can find a"},{"startTime":1290.84,"endTime":1293.6,"body":"regular foster home, you know,"},{"startTime":1293.87,"endTime":1296.72,"body":"and it goes on and on until this"},{"startTime":1293.87,"endTime":1296.72,"body":"dogs adopted. So really, this"},{"startTime":1296.72,"endTime":1300.2,"body":"dog is going to, in a perfect"},{"startTime":1296.72,"endTime":1300.2,"body":"world, a dog with a perfect"},{"startTime":1300.2,"endTime":1305.75,"body":"temperament, let's be generous"},{"startTime":1300.2,"endTime":1305.75,"body":"and say that it may take a month"},{"startTime":1305.75,"endTime":1308.87,"body":"for this dog to get adopted. But"},{"startTime":1305.75,"endTime":1308.87,"body":"for more difficult cases, you're"},{"startTime":1308.87,"endTime":1313.97,"body":"looking at three to six,"},{"startTime":1308.87,"endTime":1313.97,"body":"sometimes a year, the amount of"},{"startTime":1313.97,"endTime":1317.48,"body":"change that happens within that"},{"startTime":1313.97,"endTime":1317.48,"body":"time is incredibly confusing. So"},{"startTime":1317.72,"endTime":1320.6,"body":"we want to think about what"},{"startTime":1317.72,"endTime":1320.6,"body":"happens to the dog, it might be"},{"startTime":1320.6,"endTime":1325.37,"body":"shut down, or it might"},{"startTime":1320.6,"endTime":1325.37,"body":"experience some behaviors that,"},{"startTime":1325.67,"endTime":1329.3,"body":"you know, may not happen under"},{"startTime":1325.67,"endTime":1329.3,"body":"totally normal circumstances."},{"startTime":1329.72,"endTime":1333.41,"body":"You have a dog that experiences"},{"startTime":1329.72,"endTime":1333.41,"body":"some hypersensitivity, hyper"},{"startTime":1333.41,"endTime":1336.62,"body":"vigilance, things like that,"},{"startTime":1333.41,"endTime":1336.62,"body":"which can cause the dog to lash"},{"startTime":1336.62,"endTime":1341.03,"body":"out instead of shutting down"},{"startTime":1336.62,"endTime":1341.03,"body":"emotionally. So just trying to"},{"startTime":1341.03,"endTime":1343.43,"body":"get the owner to understand that"},{"startTime":1341.03,"endTime":1343.43,"body":"aspect of it. And then of"},{"startTime":1343.43,"endTime":1349.25,"body":"course, with my behavior work, I"},{"startTime":1343.43,"endTime":1349.25,"body":"run the office for a positive"},{"startTime":1349.25,"endTime":1351.62,"body":"reinforcement board and train"},{"startTime":1349.25,"endTime":1351.62,"body":"and de train company out of"},{"startTime":1351.62,"endTime":1356.06,"body":"Elgin Illinois called I got the"},{"startTime":1351.62,"endTime":1356.06,"body":"sit LLC, we do behavior"},{"startTime":1356.06,"endTime":1359.36,"body":"modification and things like"},{"startTime":1356.06,"endTime":1359.36,"body":"that. So we also have to have"},{"startTime":1359.36,"endTime":1363.35,"body":"those conversations with dogs"},{"startTime":1359.36,"endTime":1363.35,"body":"that aren't a good fit for our"},{"startTime":1363.35,"endTime":1367.94,"body":"drop off programs and dogs that"},{"startTime":1363.35,"endTime":1367.94,"body":"we may feel may not even be safe"},{"startTime":1367.94,"endTime":1372.65,"body":"to refer out to in home"},{"startTime":1367.94,"endTime":1372.65,"body":"trainers. So I'd love to"},{"startTime":1372.68,"endTime":1375.05,"body":"roleplay this a little bit with"},{"startTime":1372.68,"endTime":1375.05,"body":"you. You know, I've got"},{"startTime":1392.33,"endTime":1396.26,"body":"this dog. So you could"},{"startTime":1419.6,"endTime":1422.24,"body":"take the dog right to you"},{"startTime":1422.24,"endTime":1427.64,"body":"because you're a rescue. Okay,"},{"startTime":1422.24,"endTime":1427.64,"body":"what's, what was happening in"},{"startTime":1427.64,"endTime":1432.32,"body":"the situation where the children"},{"startTime":1427.64,"endTime":1432.32,"body":"were able to get bitten in the"},{"startTime":1432.32,"endTime":1435.65,"body":"face? Oh, not too much. Really."},{"startTime":1432.32,"endTime":1435.65,"body":"I you know, it's kind of"},{"startTime":1435.68,"endTime":1439.01,"body":"strange. You know, he seems to"},{"startTime":1435.68,"endTime":1439.01,"body":"love children. And then a lot of"},{"startTime":1871.61,"endTime":1874.46,"body":"these cases ended up in severe"},{"startTime":1874.46,"endTime":1878.96,"body":"bites, or really tragic"},{"startTime":1874.46,"endTime":1878.96,"body":"outcomes, and the cases for our"},{"startTime":1878.96,"endTime":1882.92,"body":"people or other animals.
