It’s time to talk about money. When it comes to finances, many women face an uphill battle all their lives.
Women are paid about 16% less than men and many women take time out of work to raise families. The average career break for women with children is six years. When women return to work, it is often part-time. With lower pay, child care career breaks, and more part-time work, women retire with about half the retirement savings of men.
In this episode, Caz, a recently widowed woman in her late 50s, tells us what she did to get control of her finances. Joining the discussion is Financial Planner, John Walker of Optimal Wealth Solutions. John outlines the work he did with Caz to make money her superpower.
