SPEAKER_00He's a great, he's a great character actor. Like he really brings life to these bit parts. Like he was so good. He was so good. I felt like he was menacing. Like, if this had been if this had been a bank heist movie, that guy could lead that role in that movie, without a doubt. Like, that's how good he was. That would have made that would have made a lot of sense too.
SPEAKER_03That would have made a lot of sense. And that would have explained the breach. It would have explained like more of the police corruption. I mean, it would have fed all the storylines that that that they're building right now.
SPEAKER_01Fix Fisk takes his kind of mayor big apple pin and puts it on him. He's like, nope, you're still you're still mine, as if as if to brand him with that pin.
SPEAKER_00Welcome everybody to another episode of Meanwhile Back on the Podcast. This is episode uh five and six of Daredevil Born Again. It's our breakdown of episode five and six of Daredevil Born Again. We're gonna do a nice little recap for you. We'll walk you through what happened in the show, what our thoughts were, what our takeaways were, you know, some predictions for the next episode, and uh we'll break it all down. So let's uh not waste any time. Let's get into it. Let's start with some initial reactions. Let's go to uh my boy Brad first. What's up, Brad?
SPEAKER_03So, okay, I I worked 12 and a half hours yesterday. Got off work at like 9:30, came home, put the kid to bed. Wife went to bed because she's got to be up at 4:30, and I'm like, all right, I'm gonna do this. I'm gonna watch one episode of Daredevil, and then I'm gonna go to bed, and then you know, get up and I'll watch it today. I was full of shit. Absolutely, because there's no way in hell that I was only gonna be watch one episode of that, dude. They were freaking great. I mean, uh, I that the end of uh of episode five, there there was absolutely no way you could take a break going in before you go into episode six. It it they were meant to be watched together. Absolutely. It should have been just been one hour long TV series or show, but um my my initial after five was my initial after six was yes that that that was me. Nice, yeah. I was I was very happy. Uh uh and we know what I think I was a little bit right too in in my predictions from last week that uh we're getting more of the full of on Daredevil Kingpin because as I'm sure we'll get into it, we get Kingpin and we get Daredevil.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, cross-cut, a cross-cut, like orgy of violence, basically. A cross-cut orgy of violence, but we'll get into that in a little bit more detail. Rich, first impressions.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, at first I was like, why are they releasing two episodes in a row in the middle of the season? I get the beginning, I get the end, but why in the middle? But what Brad was saying was absolutely right. Having these play back to back was was really fun. Um, I I liked it. I was partly right too, because I predicted that episode five would be a bottle episode. I was just wrong about the topic. So we did get a bottle episode with the bank robbery, and I I just we'll get into it as we talk about it, but just my initial first impressions, um, I thought they were great back to back. I mean, if if there could be a light-hearted episode of Daredevil, it was episode five, immediately followed by a really dark episode with episode six. So having them play against each other was fantastic.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I bought butterscotch discs today, by the way. I will I will have a bowl of butterscotch discs on my desk in my office tomorrow.
SPEAKER_00Nice. All right. Yeah, my first impressions were the episodes were great. I know episode five was a filler episode, but for a filler episode, I think it exceeded expectations in every way. I think the editing was very cleverly done to make the action sequences feel a little bit more kinetic than they really were. There was a lot of cutting with Matt's hand movements and a whole bunch of things that I really, really dug. Um, I loved the performance from the head bank robber. I can't remember his name, but you know, they're all Irish guys, so I gotta throw praise up. Uh, and it happened during St. Patty's Day. Honestly, it gave me this idea where I should do a feature film about a robbery on St. Paddy's Day, so I'm definitely pursuing that. Um, whether I cut this out of the episode or not, that's a whole other question. But um, but yeah, no, I was really impressed with the cast. Uh, it was really cool to see uh Yusuf Khan again. Um interesting to hear some of the dialogue given some of the accusations against him in the past. I felt like that was on purpose a little bit, uh, which was very clever. And uh I enjoyed it thoroughly. And then episode six, uh, that was awesome. Uh, there's a lot of really cool shots in that episode. Uh, the one that I definitely want to dig into a little bit more is the one where we see Daredevil approaching Muse, and we'll get into a little bit more, you know, more granular detail on that. But I thought the episode was fantastic. Uh, I loved all the performances, and uh I just felt super fulfilled. I felt very high on Marvel coming out of that episode. Right now, after seeing the announcement, uh, I don't feel so high on Marvel, but we will get into that in the next episode after this episode. So let's uh let's get a little bit more into uh Daredevil. Let's talk about the um the filler episode, the bank robbery. Let's talk a little bit more about that. Um, so let's talk about some standout things that we really thought stood out about this episode that stood above some of the other aspects of the episode. Rich, I'm gonna go to you first.
SPEAKER_01Uh, I think this was a great um series of homages to great bank heist movies like A Dog Day Afternoon, uh Inside Man. So you could clearly see um the the influence there, which in a good way. So it wasn't a cut and paste of of those movies. It was definitely uh uh the filmmakers, the director, I can't remember who directed it, but his appreciation for those movies. And you could definitely, I could see Al Pacino in in this episode. It was it was great. Um, I thought the bank robbery scene or the bank robbery whole bottle episode was really good. And it, you know, as a filler episode though, it showed the progression again of of Matt Murdoch finally saying F it in episode six and putting on the Daredevil costume again. Um coming, he didn't have to go back to the bank. Like if he was truly trying to be Matt Murdoch the lawyer, not Matt Murdoch the vigilante, he could have just dialed 911 and kept on his way, but he felt like he had to do something, which again is that progression through the entire series. But I thought everything was cool. Yusuf was was great in here talking about Kamala Khan. Um, some people complain online that his dialogue was clunky. I didn't think so. I thought it fit his personality. If you watch Miss Marvel, it's it's the way he talks about his daughter so lovingly and it was it was fun. And then the jewel when they pulled it out, I'm like, that's a soul stone, isn't it? Isn't it? But nobody nobody talked about it online that I saw. Um, but I was like, that and then the way it shimmered.
SPEAKER_00Um it's the same color as a soul stone, but come on, let's not let's not start an internet rumor mill that that the soul stone was in this episode.
SPEAKER_03But I like if you don't go here on meanwhile back on the podcast first. Damn it.
SPEAKER_01But whose soul did it take? Right. Well, you know, the mystery. But like I thought, okay, if it's it looks a lot like a soul stone, and if you don't know how to use it or activate it, sure, it could be worth $1.8 million. Why not? I mean, it's it's a rare stone. Um I love that the swordsman from Hawkeye made a cameo. I'm like, what is going on here? Uh, but and and then he made a cameo as the swordsman through the the BB intercuts. Just a lot of and this is the way that Marvel should be doing these interconnectedness, not ham-fisted, not like cramming in there because you feel like you have to, but making it fit and making it make sense. Youssef managing the bank and being in the whole episode to um to to be with Matt fit perfectly. It it didn't feel forced. Um, I love it at the end where they opened the vault and he's like, you know, what kind of lawyer are you? And he goes, a really good one, which obviously played back to Spider-Man, you know, No Way Home, and you know, Peter Parker saying the same thing. Like, what are you? He's like a really good lawyer. So I love the little bits of interconnectedness. And that's how Marvel, what Marvel I think did wrong in the multiverse saga is they were trying too hard to connect everything, but you just drop these little bits in there that don't need a whole lot of explaining, but just piques people's interest to go, oh, Kamala Khan, what's all that about? And then you start scrolling through Disney Plus and you find out about this really great show uh that that I I love too, and the way everything was was fit together so nicely. So yeah, so those were the standout scenes for me. The fight scenes were really good. Um love seeing Matt like maneuver the guy around to keep from making noise, catching the gun while the dudes in the triangle choke hold. I mean, it was it was really, really good stuff.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Brad. Man, uh everything that Rich said, uh, I I I agree with. Um, man, the the fact that it was more than a cameo from Youssef was great. And I rem and I love the line where he said Kamal is on the coast. Do you think she's on the West Coast? Well, he did say San He did say San Francisco, didn't he?
SPEAKER_02Or San Francisco Coast? Is there gonna be a West Coast Avengers thing happening?
SPEAKER_01Oh, she was out there recruiting Cassie Lang.
SPEAKER_03That's what she was doing, you know, maybe or yeah, that could be too. But I mean, we could throw Hawkeye in there. Hawkeye was a was Hawkeye was the founder of the West Coast Avengers, if I remember right.
SPEAKER_00Well, they're trying to people online are getting excited about the premise of a Young Avengers project. Yeah. Personally, I could care less about the Young Avengers. Um that team is a little too uh little too girl heavy for me. Um and that's kind of where Marvel really went in that direction of like, hey, we want more progressive teams. And again, when you get into interweaving overt social and and and uh political themes, it just feels very gimmicky to me. It doesn't feel about narrative, it doesn't feel about story. Um and they've been doing that for quite a while, so I'm not really that stoked about a young Avengers project, not yet. Uh I love Kamala Khan. I really enjoyed Miss Marvel a lot. I thought it was a great series, a lot of fun. But I think Marvel has to be in damage control mode. And I think it's time to put all your all your franchise players on the court and just bench everybody else. Like that's gotta be the way things go right now. And I don't think that they're getting that memo based on what we saw today, which we'll talk about a little bit more. Um but we'll have to wait and see.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, Luke Cage. I mean, they need Luke Cage, they the they need Jessica Jones because they already have a good fan base. And if they can do what they're doing with Daredevil Born Again with Luke Cage, or you know, Heroes for Hire. I'm I'm still on I want Heroes for Hire, guys. This is like the thing I want more than probably any other project. I want a freaking TV show of Heroes for Hire, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, or you know what, screw it and do the you know uh you bring in Shun-Jo. I don't care, but I want Heroes for Hire. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00Okay, let's get back to your um to your standouts for the episode.
SPEAKER_03Uh for me for episode five, um, I loved I loved when he pulled the red mask. I mean, of course he's gonna pull the red mask, uh, but the that yellow mask really had me thinking of Iron Fist, uh, you know, and as it as it was supposed to, you know. Um especially when there was the yellow and the green guy hanging out all the time, you're like, oh, okay, cool, iron fist. Um I can't think of a lot of things I didn't like in it, but I think the standout for me is Butterscotch Discs, the diamond. Um I I I just knew the second that like they he played with in the bowl. I'm like, okay, that's important. Don't forget that. Okay, got it. You know, uh, and just uh the interaction between between uh Matt Murdoch and Yusuf, and then at the end when he's like, You're coming to dinner, you know, and I'm like, I want that episode. I want maybe that'll be the the after credit scene, is there all the and they'll there'll be your the you know Matt Murdoch meeting Kamala Khan, you know? Um but yeah, I mean it was it it was a great episode. I I think my favorite part of it was the the fight the the the fight there in the stairwell where he was controlling it without making any noise. He's being an ninja.
SPEAKER_00So you're talking about the triangle choke and the and the gun grab. Okay, all right, that's cool. Yeah, so the big standout for me, I think, was the way that they further expanded on Matt's power set and they really showed exactly some of the other insane things that he can do with his exosensory perception. I thought that was awesome. I really loved that part. I really loved all the moments with Yusuf and Matt. I thought those were great. Um, I love seeing Matt change his personality depending on who he was speaking to to kind of control the situation. Like it was always he was always sort of playing things up. Um, my favorite part was when he got on the radio though and did his real voice, his real Irish accent, to to to you know, to sort of trick the guy into thinking that he was his henchman. That was kind of that was kind of clever. Um, and as somebody who saw Charlie on Boardwalk Empire, that kind of rang back to Boardwalk Empire for me. Because uh such a good show. He was a brutal motherfucker in Broadwalk Boardwalk Empire.
SPEAKER_03I don't think so. Which is sad because man, like that that is uh that is Steve Bushimi's shining moment in his in his acting career is Boardwalk Empire.
SPEAKER_01And that was Charlie Cox's breakout role, too, right? That's that's kind of what put him on the map was his portrayal there.
SPEAKER_00Stardust and um Boardwalk Empire, yeah. Yeah, yeah, he was the lead in Stardust. So good, but yeah, um, yeah, he was you know, he's banging the boss's wife, and he's just a brutal IRA like thug. Like it would be pretty pretty crazy role for him. But anyways, um, yeah, no, I I I I really enjoyed a lot of the moments with Charlie. Um all the little different personalities in the bank were kind of fun too, and definitely the connections to the other bank movies, like the you know, the other bank heights movies. But the standout for me, honestly, was the guy that was playing the lead Irish robber. Like he was a great character. Who was that? He was a fantastic character, and he gave a fantastic performance. And that joke, that joke about um uh about the leprechaun and the nun. Oh my god, that was funny. Fucking howling. That was legitimately funny. Legitimately funny, so well done, so well written, so so well researched. Um, and I and I love the backdrop of St. Patrick's Day too, because it just passed, and I'm Irish, I didn't get to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. So, you know, St. Patrick's Day in New York or Chicago or Boston are very big deals, and I really like how they tapped into that. So that was really kind of cool.
SPEAKER_03Um is that Devlin? The main I think so. Okay, yeah, that's he's Cillian O'Sullivan is his name.
SPEAKER_00That's the most Irish name I've ever heard in my life.
SPEAKER_03It's amazing. Um Star Trek Strange New World. Nice. Uh yeah, he's Dr. Roger or something. Uh nice. Um that's the only real he was in the blacklist, bull. Oh, you made his rounds on TV. He was in Vikings. Cool. So yeah, I mean he's done done some stuff, but yeah, there you go.
Like he just wasn't this guy, like in this series. Like, he could be a much bigger, a much bigger player. And I love how he approached it. It was great. He was menacing throughout the entire thing. Um, but he was also he was also funny. He was also uh effusive and and uh and just interesting. So I really enjoyed that part of it. Um, yeah. What were some of the um what were some of the things you guys didn't like about the episode, if anything?
SPEAKER_01Well, I kind of want to go back to what you're saying about the sound direction real quick with Matt's the way they portrayed Matt's power set. I was watching this last night with headphones on, like like earbuds studio beats. Uh no free ads, but studio beats. And uh the sound was like I I need to watch more shows with those because the sound direction, it was moving from my right ear to my left ear and my left ear to my right. It was fantastic. It I and I don't pick that up when I watch it on TV, like with my sound system uh at home, you know, just sitting in front of the TV, but with the headphones, I really felt like I was tapping into his into what he was experiencing as Daredevil. It was mind-blowing. It was really great sound direction for whoever did that, give him a raise. It was really, really good. That's cool. What I didn't like um uh about the episode, um I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I I I will say people, you horrible person. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Irish. You and your uh corned beef and cabbage people. I'm just kidding. Um I'm sorry. I'm sorry, folks. Um I I will say John Wick kind of spoiled me on non-quick cut fight scenes. So I like the fight scenes, and it's not even something I don't don't like. Um I don't like quick cuts fight scenes anymore. Like I went back and watched The Born Identity after John Wick, and I was like, holy crap, that's bad. Like all the quick cut fights um to try to make people look like they can fight better than they do. But I think with this particular episode, it was okay. Like it it wasn't it wasn't bad. I mean, you're in a constricted space, so the quick cuts, I guess, kind of made sense. Um but if I had to pick a knit, um, it would it would probably be that one. Um, but there wasn't really a whole lot I honestly I didn't like about this episode. I thought the whole episode was really good. The tumbler scene was great, just watching them flip through the the safe. Um yeah, I don't know. I yeah, I I just thought it was really good. If I had to pick a nick, uh pick a knit, it was that uh quick cut fight scenes a little bit. I could have gone with a little less quick cuts, but you know.
SPEAKER_00The one thing the one thing that kind of well, actually, no, I would say this is a plus for me. When Matt was sort of kind of giving his bleeding bleeding hard speech about why he should get his loan from the bank, I was like, oh shit. They're just gonna be like, the guy's gonna be like, okay, we'll give you the money. I'm just like, that's not real world stuff, that's not how it works. Like, they don't give a shit how good your intentions are. It's like you can either pay it back or you can't, right? And he was in a position where he couldn't pay it back. So I was glad that they kind of stuck to that. That was that was interesting. The one thing that the one thing I didn't like was how quickly the police wanted to enter the building. Like it it it it was it was kind of that decision was almost inconsequential to the entire story. Like the story could have progressed just as it was without even actually no, that's not true. Because the because once they wanted to breach, he jumped into the office and changed into his cop uniform and headed out the door. Um, so that's not true. But but yeah, I found that kind of like off-putting how quickly, you know, we're like halfway in the episode, and they're like, Yeah, the cops are gonna go in right now. I'm like, that's not usually how it would go, but sure.
SPEAKER_01Especially with that many hostages in there, like 20 people, you're not gonna be charging in with 20 hostages in there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, actually, maybe that's a better point. Just seeing the cops be a little bit more better planned out on how they were gonna execute it, you know, in lieu of all the hostages, right? Like, how do we better execute it? I thought that could have been done a little bit better. Um, the uh the fight scene out on the street. I loved how brutal that was. That was that was pretty crazy. And um, yeah, there's not really a lot I didn't like about the episode. Oh, the woman that just like got away like scot-free, like nothing ever happened to her. That was kind of stupid. Like, I would rather see like Matt like confront her after he beats that guy down. That would have been cool. That would have been a like a neat kind of cap on the episode was like confronting her or like kind of like a jump scare coming out from around the corner or something like that. That could have been dope.
SPEAKER_01I was expecting that too. I was expecting Matt to like be right when she turned the corner to Matt be right there and go, uh, you got something for me, right? You know, but he he did the old, you know, kind of switcheroo, so that's why we yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, slight a hand. Hand as a blind man too. That was pretty that was pretty gangster. Yeah. Uh Brad, what about the episode? Was there anything in the episode you didn't like?
SPEAKER_03You know, after you bring it up, I I totally agree with you on the SWAT. And the hostage negotiator was not a good hostage negotiator either. I mean, like, and because it's all the whole thing took, you know, they was like what maybe how long do you think they were in there? Like an hour at the most.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, there was no gunshots, there was nothing like that. There was nothing to provoke, you know, the Ford that you going into the building. Um, it would have almost made sense if like if if Mayor Fisk was like, breach, breach, you know, something like that.
SPEAKER_00That's a good point. That's a good point. Yeah, that would have made sense.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That would have made sense. Or something like Fisk calling in and saying, hey, it's St. Patrick's Day. We can't have this ruining the holiday. Like, get in there and shut it down, right? That could have been cool. Or Fisk finds out that it's the Irish gang, and he's like, I'm not, I'm not letting them get that. I'm not letting them get that money. That would have been cool. That would have made that would have made a lot of sense. That would have been cool.
SPEAKER_03That would have made a lot of sense. And that would have explained the breach. It would have explained like more of the police corruption. I mean, it would have fed all the storylines that that that they're building right now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it would have given a little bit more duality to Fisk too. Like he's not necessarily kind of playing it straight. He's more like he's more like Chuck Rhodes in, you know, in billions, where like Chuck is always trying to morally do what's right, but is obviously always with his other hand doing what's morally just totally reprehensible. Yeah. Right. So yeah, that would have been interesting if we kind of saw that other side of that uh of that conversation. Um yeah, so one of the things I want to talk about. So, you know, Rich, when I was talking to you about what Yusuf said in his dialogue, you kind of nodded your head that you kind of felt like he was addressing some of the accusations that were levied against him uh in the last couple years. Did you kind of get that sense too in his dialogue? Um, I don't know, was that I think that was was that no, I mean, I don't I don't think so.
SPEAKER_01I mean, he Yousef's dialogue fit him as a character. Because I was trying to remember like he was the best.
SPEAKER_00But he was talking about what was he talking about? He was talking about like guilt and he was talking about he like there was some aspect that he was talking about of guilt and and uh being accused or you know, falsely accused, or whatever. Like there was something in there about that. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but I don't think I am.
SPEAKER_01I don't remember.
SPEAKER_00No, I don't remember.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry. Yeah, I don't remember.
SPEAKER_00Okay, yeah, no worries. So the one thing everybody should know about this episode, and probably the the biggest reason why Yusuf is in this episode, is because uh Sana Aminot is the uh she's the producer on the uh on the series this year. She's one of the producers, and she was a big producer in um in um in Miss Marvel. Sweet. Yeah, she's also a writer for the comic, too. She's a writer for the Miss Marvel comic as well. So um, you know, she kind of probably's like, hey, let's let's bring Yusuf back. He's a great actor, he's a great actor, so definitely good decision. Yeah, good decision, I think so too, for sure. And I also think that's the bank from Inside Man. I'm pretty sure that's the bank from Inside Man.
SPEAKER_03It would make sense.
SPEAKER_00I think so. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's actually somebody Google that while we're talking.
SPEAKER_03Sorry. Do you remember any time in comic history where Daredevil hangs out with Miss Marvel? I mean, because there are two, they're there are a group of people that I've never even thought about putting them together, but but then when they talk about cool, like I really want to see Kamala Khan and Daredevil take on some some street level bad guys.
SPEAKER_00Well, I think everybody wants to see Kamala Khan with every hero because she's just gonna fangirl out. Yeah, and it's it'll just be funny, and you know, it'll be it'll be irreverent, and those are all great things. Um, Kamala Khan is gonna be like she's very much she's been underserved creatively, I think, though, in a sense, too. Where she's been used a lot for fan service, canon fodder, and I want to see her get out of that realm a little bit. I don't want to see her just be used as fan service, canon fodder anymore. I want to see her get her opportunities um, you know, that are a little bit bigger than that. Uh and hopefully that'll happen because she's a great cog, she she's a great character, and uh Amon Vellani is is amazing, amazing in her role. Like amazing.
SPEAKER_03That's part of the Marvels, too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's part of the Marvels for sure.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I mean when you gotta get babies out by Nick Fury, you know. I mean, hey.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So is it the bank from Inside Man? Oh, I didn't even look.
SPEAKER_01Um, the bank from Inside Man was the Manhattan Trust Bank, but I couldn't Google fast enough what bank was used in Daredevil Born Again episode five. Um, it didn't say. Um it looks like the bank to me because of all the multiple floors and the vault and all that too. I mean, I would I would imagine if I was gonna film a a bank heist scene, I would probably use that bank because that's yeah, I mean, it's so spacious and so it's so camera friendly. Like it's it's not a it's beautiful. Yeah, it's not a it's not a local like regions bank or PNC that's just like all the teller windows and looking just generic. It's it's got some history, so I I wouldn't be surprised if it was.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. All right, well, let's move on to the next episode. So um we got two episodes in the night. We got five, now we got six. And uh six was six was kind of crazy. Six sick. It kind of jumped off to this insane start. Right where Muse gets discovered that he's using blood and all of his art, his art gets tested, uh, and they figure out that they have a serial killer and there's sixty people. That's not sixty people. That's sixteen. Sixty people that are missing. And one of Muse's pieces has I think they said like eight different people. Like there's DNA from eight different people in it. That's some fucked up shit. That's some really, really, really creepy, disgusting, fucked up shit for sure. Um, by the way, that's the only F-bomb I'm gonna use in this episode. So um swear jar. Put some money in the swear jar.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Oh, so Rich, that's a challenge now. I know that is now a challenge.
SPEAKER_01Now we have to have to keep a virtual swear jar.
SPEAKER_00Nice. Okay, so let's go through this the same way we did the uh uh let's go through this the same way we did the other episode. So uh start with the rich. Rich, first impressions of this episode.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I I think I said in my opening how how different it was from the episode five, and how episode five was kind of sort of lighthearted, and then we went immediately into the dark. I thought it was a a nice palate cleanser, I guess, so to speak, and we're kind of back, right? Um, some really interesting uh I I loved how they had the Rangers fan that was the that was the hostage in episode five, being being the guy that was pressure washing uh the blood is and he comes into the office. That was the funniest part in the whole episode. It's like, so let me tell you about get to the point, man. That was pretty funny. Um, but the I gotta say my favorite part, obviously. Yeah, he's like, you can get to the point. What's good? Tell him what you told me. That was that was hilarious.
SPEAKER_00Burying the lead, burying the lead three times, just burying the lead.
SPEAKER_01Um I I think my favorite part's gonna be the same as as you guys, that the final couple minute fight scene between Daredevil and Muse and Fisk and Adam, intercutting back and forth of both of them breaking bad in opposite directions. Um cross cuts, yeah. The the cross cuts and both of them finally giving into their natures, right? The of Matt giving into his nature of Daredevil uh to do good, uh, and then Fisk giving into his nature to be who he's meant to be, which is the kingpin. Um I thought was really great playing off of each other. Um, and then him coming down with the axe and Daredevil just on the roof, F it, and let's just do it, right? Just I'm I'm done pretending to be something I'm not. I am Daredevil. Um, cool fight scene between Muse and uh and uh and uh Daredevil there. I thought that was really fun. My favorite shot was when Muse fell and then he was upside down and then they flipped the camera right side up as he was getting up. I mean, yeah, absolute cinema. So I thought of a horror movie, yeah. It was it was very creepy. Um and I really think with the limited screen time we got of Muse, you see how brutal he is, you see that he is not to be trifled with. I do like that they haven't um played into the inhuman part of him yet. Like they're not getting into the weeds of of his power set. I don't know if that's gonna come up, but I I like that he's just a straight-up serial killer dude. Um that knows kung fu. That that happens to know that happens to you know be a pretty good fighter. Um but it it's I mean, it's great. I mean, it's great. Uh, I thought the episode was fantastic. Yeah. Just great back-to-back episodes.
SPEAKER_03So one might say everybody was kung fu fighting. Everybody was.
SPEAKER_00Everybody was literally kung fu fighting.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, except for fisk, because it's just a brutal beat down. Hey, he doesn't need to know kung fu. He that man is kung fu. Oh man. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Brad, what about you?
SPEAKER_03Uh, dude, like it was nice to see the from from five being like, okay, cool, cool, cool, cool. Then like, whoa, fuck yeah. Um that fight. Uh oh, before I get to the fight, yeah. The I loved Fisk's line when he's talking to the police and was like, ain't uh New York sanitation did your fucking job for ya. So I I I'm gonna be the one throwing the F-bombs tonight. Okay. But um, but yeah, and then and then we went we went the the just the progression. You we knew it was happening because the way that they were cutting from Daredevil or Matt to Wilson to Murdoch to Fisk, and then it was Daredevil to Kingpin, you know, that progression was just freaking awesome. And you knew was gonna happen the second he got off the phone with mom. Uh you know, like the girl, the girl came in and she was just like poking him. But it you know that part didn't make a lot of sense to me because what do you did she think a blind lawyer was gonna do to help her out in this?
SPEAKER_00Well, I think I think when she came in, she was under the impression that Matt might have some connections to some other people. Um okay, that makes a lot of sense.
SPEAKER_03I mean, they're they're because the girlfriend asked.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but uh but I was saying, but I was saying a lot of the same thing. I was like, why is she like, what does she think Matt's gonna do here?
SPEAKER_01Well, she couldn't she couldn't trust the cops, obviously, and she had nowhere else to turn. Nowhere else to turn. Yeah, she and she was giving Matt the business, like, you know, yeah, giving him giving him a little lecture from this, you know, 15-year-old or whoever. Um, yeah, kudos to the actress, though.
SPEAKER_00She she's she's great, she's real, she's a real scene stealer.
SPEAKER_03I wanted to I wanted to have her have the amulet. Like it would have been really cool just to have Murdoch be like, hey, they're done at the case. Here's here's your uncle's amulet, you know, and then like wearing that when she gets taken by Muse. Spoiler alert, you know.
SPEAKER_00Um well Matt knows Matt knows the power of the amulet, so I don't think he's just handing it over to a kid. That that would be kind of yeah, counterintuitive to what Matt would normally do in that situation.
SPEAKER_01So I actually thought that, but I thought he was gonna give it to her as she was dying to like bring her back to life or whatever. That would have been cool too. That I thought like at the end of the at the end, if he didn't like save her life with CPR, he would have like laid the amulet on her and it would have brought her back to life.
SPEAKER_03Oh, and man, that when he was looking at the uh the funeral card of Foggy with and and just going over the braille in it. Oh, oh that was a great scene. Oh man, that that was probably I can't say it was my favorite scene because that fight scene between him and Muse, I didn't understand that flip kick thing that started it off. It was cool, but I was like what the bicycle kick? The like the total flip thing. I was like, oh, okay, what's happening?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's a bicycle kick, yeah.
SPEAKER_03So but yeah, um okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, I like the part where Matt was praying too. It uh it brought him back to some of his core roots as far as his religion and and his faith and and all these things, which I think are core to the character. And honestly, I felt you know him not going to church was kind of in spic uh it was kind of conspicuous in its absence because you know, three seasons at Daredevil, and I think he was going to see the priest like every other episode or something, right? So the fact that they still am connected to his religion, that was good. The foggy thing was good. I really like that. Um the um the part the part with the anti-vigilante task force. Uh I sent you guys those images that I found on joblow.com. That looks kind of crazy. They're rocking the Punisher's logo, so he's basically been commoditized by the city. That's going to have some repercussions for sure. Uh, given the fact that the you know the Punisher technically is a vigilante. Um, so I don't think he's going to be too okay with the anti-vigilante task force rocking his colors and going out like that. Uh Cole North is actually a character in the comic books. He's a great character. He was in his he was in Zadarski's run. And the actor that they have playing him doesn't really look a lot or really anything like him, though. When when I started reading Zadarski's run and I met Cole North, the first thing I said to myself was they need to get Michael James Shaw from The Walking Dead because that guy is literally one-to-one with Cole North from the comic books. It almost looks like the artist was inspired by Michael James Shaw and The Walking Dead when he created Cole North. Like that's how close it is. Um so I would have loved to see them cast him. That would have been awesome. Obviously, I'm gonna, you know, I'm gonna hold my opinions until I see this guy's performance, but uh this task force is obviously going to be off the books. They're gonna, you know, they're gonna float the law, they're gonna float the rules, they're gonna do some pretty crazy shit as they go after Daredevil and as they go after the Punisher. And probably, you know, from what I'm understanding in season two, Daredevil is gonna put together this this anti-vigilante task force, anti-group, or like this anti-group to kind of go after them to sort of combat them. So that's gonna be interesting, and that's probably where the defenders are gonna come in a little bit more, uh, which I think will be interesting. But there's some real pieces of shit in that group. So, you know, a lot of crooked cops, and it's almost like Fisk looks at that as like a strength. Like, that's what I want on your resume. You know, I want to see a bunch of uh citations for all your shitty behavior so I can hire you and put you into this group because I think that those are the people that are gonna best serve this type of this type of operation. And that's a little concerning, uh, but it keeps Fisk rooted in his um, you know, his duality. He's not necessarily fully crossed over into, you know, wanting to be uh wanting to be the mayor, to be an upstanding figure within the city or to be uh to be an upstanding figure as far as his character goes. He can portray an upstanding character, but you know, deep down we know that he's obviously not, especially after this episode. But the party was interesting. I found the party a very like a very interesting moment, a snapshot of how Fisk still kind of fits into uh the dimensions of everything. Also, his conversation with the other guy, uh one of his you know, one of his underbosses. That was that was crazy. Like that was crazy. Like he was putting the business to Fisk, and Fisk was like, no, I'm gonna add another million dollars to your bill. I wanted to see that. I wanted to see that play out, but obviously he couldn't do it in the office. And I'm pretty sure that's the only reason that that guy is still walking and still alive is because he did it inside the mayor's office, and he probably strategically picked the mayor's office to make that to make that or to to make that gesture of disrespect was hey, you know, I'm in kind of safe territory here. I'm gonna use it to my advantage, you know. But uh, but yeah. On the uh on that particular scene and on the uh party scene, do you guys have any thoughts on that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the party scene was really interesting because it puts Fisk in a position that he's not used to being in, groveling people for money, right? Yeah. Uh and because he's used to just having it and doing it and getting things done, and now he's having to go to these people and and somewhat lower himself to to get people to to donate to him, and he's having to deal with like you know, threats from the swordsman saying, you know, you may I make one wrong, uh, make a phone call, and it all goes wrong. Um so it I thought it was an interesting, and and I think part of what fueled him to beat Adam within an inch of his life because he Oh, absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Every moment in this episode was just gas on the fire. Yeah. Like just gas on the fire, and Adam was going to just be torched. Yeah. Like that's that was the end result, right?
SPEAKER_01Because he yeah, you could tell Wilson hated having to do what he was doing at the party and the way people were talking down to him, um, and treating him like they were less, he was less than them, uh, and yeah, putting him kind of putting him in his place, like you, you know, you're the mayor, but you you work for us, right? You you work for the rich and powerful of New York, and he's like, I ain't about that, and uh takes it out, takes it out on poor Adam there. Um, so yeah, interesting, interesting thing there. Uh one thing that's the I'm I'm I'm starting to find, I don't know, starting to get a little annoying are the the BB Uric cuts. Like I I don't know if I liked them in this episode. Um, yeah, I didn't like them either.
SPEAKER_00I didn't feel like they played any, like any like there was no real narrative value there.
SPEAKER_01Like they're using they're using the BB Uric webisode things as as exposition dumps now. Whereas before it was kind of like Man on the Street, and I found them kind of charming in the beginning, though like the first two episodes. I was like, I feel like these are real New Yorkers, and they just gave them like a something to talk about and then just let them riff. Um, but now they're kind of I didn't like it in this episode. It just didn't feel the same as the first two. It could have done all it, it could have got rid of all those in this episode, and the episode wouldn't have changed.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I totally agree with you. There was just that one clip of the swordsman, right? That was literally it. And I think that there was a couple of clips of Muse's artwork that were somewhat narratively relevant as they were progressing through the story, but that was about it. Honestly, I could be I could be done with the BB Uric stuff for now. I don't really feel like it's serving any purpose. The other thing I would say too is that um Kirsten McDuffie and Cherry have fallen to the wayside. Like they're completely gone from the story. So they're not playing really any consequential role at all in anything. Um even the speech that Cherry comes and gives Matt, like, hey, don't go on and like you know, lose it and go back to doing your thing again, like that was like that was nothing. Like they're like, I like I don't know what they're doing with these two characters, but they're being wasted, like 100%. I don't really see anywhere where they fit in with any value. Do you guys see that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. I thought in this episode, after Angela gave Matt the business and said, do something, I thought he would send Cherry out to investigate what she was saying. Like, oh yeah, they're they're disappearing around this rail line. Like, I thought that would have been a perfect opportunity to have to give Cherry some screen time to start kind of digging into that and then reporting back to Matt, reporting back to Matt, say, hey, here's what I found out, and then giving the speech about here's what I found out, but don't fall off the wagon. You you're doing a great job not being Daredevil. I'm giving this to you to give to the right people. Don't put on the suit. Um, so that I thought that would have been a great place to use cherry, and they didn't. So that it went on Matt to investigate it, figure it out, and then he found out where everything was. So and he figured it out really quick.
SPEAKER_03I mean, like the the secret the Muse's hideout for somebody that's killed 60 people and the police not knowing nothing, they they found his hideout a little too easy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but they but they set it up. Like there is the pretext for it, right?
SPEAKER_03Right, because he was Hector was was a good thing.
SPEAKER_00Hector was looking into it, he told Angela. Yeah. Yeah, so I think they set it up. Like, I get what you're you know, I get the point you're trying to make, but it but I definitely think that the setup was there. Uh otherwise I would have thought the same thing. I think that they've been pretty thoughtful about making sure that there's not a lot of logic gaps in this show. I think they've actually done a pretty good job of it. Um going back to Luca though, uh Rich, any thoughts on Luca and his his interaction with uh with Wilson?
SPEAKER_01Oh man, ballsy. He he came in there with like, you know, uh some cojones and and and was poking at poking at the bear. So I mean it it it was lucky that Adam Jones took the beating and not Luca, and he's like You're not in the game anymore and all that. And then he puts uh Fix Fisk takes his kind of mayor big Apple pin and puts it on him. He's like, Nope, you're still you're still mine, as if as if to brand him with that pin. Um yeah, and yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I didn't think of it as a brand. I thought it was like I thought he was just trying to poke him in the chest, like just pierce his skin. I thought that's what he was doing.
SPEAKER_01It's like, nope, you're still my property, and I'm adding a million to your tax. Uh so we'll see if he gets the you know the 2.8 million. But I I thought Luca, you know, good on him, you know, trying to rise above the ranks or rise in in the ranks of of the crime families while Fisk is otherwise indisposed. But I thought that was a really good scene. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Brad, any thoughts on Luca with that scene?
SPEAKER_03Um nothing that hasn't been said, man. I I just thought it was a good thing to to show um Fisk being upset of where he is and where he wants to be, uh, trying to play a little part in both worlds, and then you know, part of the old world is coming into his new world, and it took everything that he had not to just destroy him right then and there, yeah. Uh, and having to play, you know, the the person that he's not. Likewise, you know, the the the shadow of that is you know, all this time you could see it building in Matt Murdoch wanting to be Daredevil, but he has to play Matt Murdoch.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, for sure. I definitely agree with that. Um so let's go to the Adam scene because I want to talk about that too. Do you guys think Fisk is an honorable man? Because now I get the impression he is an honorable man. Yeah. Like he wanted that fight to be fair.
SPEAKER_03I think so. I I think I mean I I think it there's a level of of of honor to him. I think that I mean he's not living by like the samurai code by any means, but no, but like I think I think that he I mean in in all of his appearances so far, he you know, he's I don't think he's been that like straight up villain at all. Ever since Vincent Dionfro took over him. I mean he's been the bad guy, but even he's not been the you know a super villain.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, he's not a he's not a mustache twirly type of villain. He's like he has he's motivated by different things. He's very multi-layered, right? We've seen that throughout his entire continuity on screen. From Daredevil to to Echo to Hawkeye, like his motivations are varied. Um, but what I mean by honor like honorable, I mean like he like his, you know, you know, I'm paraphrasing what he said, but he basically said, you know, I've had to fight a lot of men much bigger than me very often. And I found that, you know, having having the right tool gives you that edge. And he like he's basically acknowledged, like, I know I'm much bigger than you. So here's an axe, I'm gonna give you a shot. Like, I think that takes that takes a lot of character to want to put yourself in the position to get hit by an axe. Yeah. You know what I mean? So I was I was quite impressed with the layering to that, like, you know, like another dimension to Wilson Fisk. Because when Wilson Fisk killed Ben Urick, he didn't give him any chance in hell. It was just it was just a car door, and that was it. There wasn't any like, here, take this weapon and like let's go. It was like, I don't know. I just it garnered a lot more respect from me for Wilson Fisk. Like, I feel like he he added a dimension to his personality. Yeah, what are you guys' thoughts on that, Rich?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think Fisk lives by a code of ethics, right? He he has his own code, moral code of how he uh wants to run things. Uh uh what him and and Matt Murdoch have in common is they both love the city, they both love New York, they both want to see New York be its its best version of itself, and they have just different ways of getting there. Um the fight scene with Adam, he gives him the axe, yes. Uh, and and we all know that Fisk is already a skilled fighter, right? But he didn't, I think he didn't give him the axe to give him an edge. He gave him the axe because now he knows how he's gonna be attacked. With an axe, you're gonna go wild swings, you're gonna be able to see him coming. It was actually, you know, I don't know, I don't imagine an Adam being a skilled fighter in in any sense of the word, anyway.
SPEAKER_00No, it clearly isn't.
SPEAKER_01Clearly isn't, but with the axe, he he's only he you know he's only gonna go one way. He's gonna swing wild with the axe, and you know it's coming. So I I think in essence, it was a false sense of security that he gave to Adam. That was because now because now Fist knows that's a little cynical. It's straight haymakers. Um, but I mean, you know, he he could have got a lucky slice in, but you know, he's a he's an awful fighter anyway, and Fist just, you know, messed him.
SPEAKER_03I mean, he was also been prison for who knows how long. Like malnourished and I mean like malnourished, atrophying, you know. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm still gonna look at it as Fist giving giving Adam a shot. Like that's the way I'm gonna see it. Because I think I think that's the way it was intended. I think that's what the speech was about. Like, hey, I you know, I've been in your position, I've had to fight men much bigger than me. It sucked, it was horrible, but I found that the right tool gave me the edge. It gives him an axe. I don't know. I just kind of felt like that was okay. Let's get into the final scene. Um so yeah, so Angela goes down and uh basically gets kidnapped by Muse. After, by the way, after Muse kills those two girls and creates another mural which sparks which sparks the whole vigilante task force thing with uh with Fisk, that was pretty crazy. Pulling out their eyes and just leaving them on the street like that. That was some fucked up shit. That was definitely some fucked up shit. Um, but I did like how the the the the Statue of Liberty had the the Muse eyes. That was kind of that was kind of nuts. Um but yeah, this final scene. Uh the fight was cool. The CGI we're watching Daredevil sort of get from point A to point B. That was not the greatest. Yeah, it's still really stiff. Yeah, it doesn't not look good. It does not look good. I feel like I feel like they're overconfident because they're playing in the dark. Like they're like, hey, it's dark, don't worry. Like, we don't really need to get too too detailed on this. Uh, but yeah, you do, because we can see it, and it's not great. It looked like a Saturday morning cartoon. It was horrible. The swing everything twice.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they still haven't gotten the swing mechanics quite down yet. Yeah. But the rest of it's so the rest of it's great, so I'm gonna let that one slide.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, go find somebody like that worked for Raimi on Spider-Man and like get them to do that, because that's what you gotta do. But but I love the way that Matt opened his vault. That was kind of crazy. That was kind of cool, but it was kind of but it was kind of misleading. Oh, by the way, we gotta talk about the fake out on this episode. No punisher. Yeah, no punisher.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I I wasn't expecting him though, but I didn't miss him.
SPEAKER_01I was I didn't miss him.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it was so great. I I didn't miss him. There was a clip, there was a clip in the trailer teaser or whatever it was with the pun with Daredevil and the Punisher swinging away from something.
SPEAKER_01Well, we still got three episodes left, so we'll see.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, I know, but it was supposed to be for this episode.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I didn't see it. I didn't see that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I saw a lot of fans saying that, that they felt like they, you know, that there was an expectation created to see the Punisher and that there was no Punisher in this episode. I kind of feel the same way. Like I definitely feel like I got a little misled because when I sat down on the couch for that sixth episode, I was like, all right, here we go. We're getting into the Punisher. And honestly, I kind of expected the Punisher in the fifth one because I was like, oh, it's bank robbers. Matt needs help. He'll probably, you know, call Castle or find some way to get in contact with Castle, but he did it all on his own. But I was still kind of expecting it, not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_01Um there was there was no buildup to bring the Punisher in, though. Like, even when in the episode, what was it, episode four, where where they had that discussion, there there wasn't any indication that you know Frank's gonna suit up alongside Daredevil at all. So if Punisher showed up in episode five or six, it would have been like Punisher X Machina. Like it would just appear out of nowhere for no reason. So that's why I said I didn't miss it, because the the way the story was written, the way the story was driven, um, would not have made room for Punisher, um, especially with the dramatic tension between Fisk and Matt breaking bad in that final fight scene, um, and and trying to then squeeze in Muse and getting all that done. So I didn't miss it. I I know we're gonna see Punisher one more time, obviously before the end, but if he would have popped up now, it wouldn't have made sense if all things stayed the same.
SPEAKER_03When Matt and Frank met last time, they went round and round Punisher telling him to be his true self. So until Matt is becoming his true self, we're not gonna see Punisher. And now we have. Now he's back as Daredevil. So now I think now the road is open for Punisher and Daredevil, you know, team up to to you know kick the shit out of a lot of people.
SPEAKER_01And now that we know that Muse is a very big threat, it's gonna call for the thing. It's a vicious fighter.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's gonna call for the I was not expecting that. I was not expecting Muse to be I mean, like comic-wise, yes, because he's got the inhuman powers. And I kept on waiting, like, okay, is he gonna absorb how and like I was waiting for like the camera to show like him bouncing out uh Daredevil, you know, like in some form or something like that, but they never did. They just showed him fight, they just showed him who could do kung fu better. You know, maybe maybe it was the magic, maybe, or maybe he hooked up to the matrix and learned kung fu really fast. Who knows?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, um yeah, no, he he he he definitely was like uh a very, very skilled fighter, very fast. Now can he fight like that in the comics? Because I don't remember him fighting like that. I don't either.
SPEAKER_01I think that's one of his that's one of his power sets, is he's a he's a you know, he's a good fighter. But his his inhuman power set was I can't remember what they called it exactly, but it was basically to um negate Daredevil's power set so that he's practically invisible to Daredevil. Um but he is a skilled fighter, I think is one of the bullet points under his bio.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Um, I really I really love the cross cutting. I really love the timing of the cross-cutting between those two scenes with Adam and Fisk and and Muse and and uh Matt. I just thought that that was really well done. Uh they found a lot of mirroring in the cross cutting as well, which I thought that was fantastic. Yeah, I wasn't expecting it to be that fluid, but it was. I kind of start like in this episode, I kind of started to see Fisk and Matt as like this quantum entangled entanglement. Like if you know anything about quantum physics, like I kind of started to see them as like these quant, like these two uh these two uh elements that were quantumly entangled. That's the way I kind of saw it. Because as they're intercutting, you feel like you're in the same moment. Like in this location, this is what's happening. In this location, this is what's happening, and it's happening at the exact same moment. Like as Fisk is landing a punch, Matt's landing a punch. As Fisk is taking a punch, Matt's taking a punch. Well, this well, Matt didn't fist didn't take a lot of punches, but but at the end of the day, that's kind of like that's kind of how it felt for sure. Um I was kind of um I was kind of shocked that there wasn't something more brutal from Muse though against Matt. Like there wasn't something like he just went for jugular or something crazy like that, like with the blade or whatever. Like there should have been some a far more consequential like um attack on Matt. Like something that was like detrimental, I thought was gonna come, uh, just to kind of set him up as being this real substantive uh danger. Um, but yeah. So I was glad that he saved Angela too. That was great.
SPEAKER_03So I I went ahead and pulled up Muse's um Marvel wiki. And so here's his attribute to the powers is uh impersebility. Uh Muse's body acts like a vortex, which can pull in every bit of sensory information around him, making even Daredevil enhance senses hard to target him. Superhuman strength, Muse possesses certain degrees of superhuman strength, being able to effortlessly tear apart human bodies, superhuman speed, Muse appears to move faster than the human eye can see, and his abilities is an expert combatant. Muse appears to be an extremely agile and efficient combatant, being able to defeat a gang of six armed people lightning fast. So yeah. Shit.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03There's more than I thought. So like I yeah, so good job, right?
SPEAKER_00So they kind of nerfed him.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00They kind of nerfed him a bit. That's interesting. Was not expecting that. But uh, okay, interesting. Oh, by the way, the two fights, the cross-cut fights, they were both with artists.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, I didn't even put that together.
SPEAKER_00Nice. They were both with artists. That's kind of funny. Anyways, all right. Well, listen, guys, thank you so much for tuning in for our uh recap and our breakdown. Um, but before we go, oh, we should talk about predictions too a little bit. Sweet. Any predictions, Rich?
SPEAKER_01Man, I don't know. Next episode. Yeah, I don't know at this point. Um, yeah, because I was so wrong before. Um, I I don't know. I mean, I I I think obviously we're gonna see Punisher. I just don't know how much we're gonna see of him. Um, I think at this point it's a cat and mouse game between Daredevil and Muse uh for the rest of the season. Um, and then I think probably we'll I I think what's gonna happen is their Fisk and his anti-vigilante squad and Daredevil is gonna both go after Muse, and then at some point they're gonna cross paths. Um, but yeah, it's gonna be a huge cat and mouse game between these these three factions.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Brad, I like that a lot, Rich. Um I I I'm gonna piggyback a little bit off that. I think it's gonna what's gonna happen is the anti-vigilante group is gonna come around and um going after Punisher. And Daredevil is gonna be going out because they Daredevil's not awkwardly out back as Daredevil and citywide yet. Um so I think Daredevil's gonna keep uh keep trying to figure out the muse issues and this little cat and mouse between the two, and then they're gonna find out they're gonna, you know, some sort of you know, they're gonna meeting Punisher and Daredevil are gonna be meet up and end up, you know, teaming up for the last episode or the last, you know, second last episode.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Uh my prediction is Frank is gonna realize how bad the co-opting of his his uh his colors, his way of life, his code has gone with the police when he sees this anti-vigil anti-task force and he's gonna realize okay, it's time to get involved. He's gonna get involved, and Matt's gonna have to sort of be his buffer a little bit. I see that kind of being the way that things go. I don't know how far it'll go. I definitely think Muse is gonna be a big part of uh this next episode as well. I think Matt's gonna be on the hunt for him. I definitely think that's gonna happen. Uh, but we'll find some intersecting opportunities as the story progresses for sure. I think that's kind of where we're headed. Uh, but yeah, cool. Well, let's wrap it up.
