Chelsey grew up in North Dakota, and is originally from the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. She is a writer, journalist, and co-founder of Well For Culture, an Indigenous wellness initiative. She currently lives in Phoenix, AZ with her husband and 2-year-old daughter.
