Stay In The Sun is a bi-weekly audio series from the POV of two Caribbean American M.S.W. (Master's of Social Work) millennials Toni (@FatBlackLuxury) and Alexis (@FromAlexisNicole) who met while working on behalf of Black and Brown women & femmes. After building sisterhood, engaging in much needed turn ups, culture dialogue, and shared truths, Toni and Alexis decided to share these thoughts and create a space for some Black girl politicking and joy. Listen as Toni and Alexis give culturally responsive commentary on news, music, politics, current events, scholarship, and whatever our personal lives throw at us. In each episode we’ll dive into aspects of our identities and will engage in conversation on what it’s like navigating life as a Black millennial. Whew! We are back after a taking a much needed month off. Even though we're back, we are leaving again. In this episode Alexis and Toni share about their recent trips, catch up with each other, and share their time at Miami Carnival 2021. It was definitely a time. In our month away Alexis went to Togo, Toni planned some vacations and attended her first adult wedding, and we also take some time and dig into the new and final season of the HBO series, Insecure. They're still playing in Kelli's face, Issa is still a lowkey user, and Molly is trying to turn over a new leaf. Pull up a seat and catch up with us! We love you for listening.
