The Building Business Podcast
Maria Fundora / Casa Nuova & Purple Pansies
Maria Fundora and her husband, both Cuban immigrants, are restauranteurs with big hearts and a passion to help people. They own and operate Casa Nova Italian Restaurant in Alpharetta, Georgia. They have owned this restaurant for over twenty years. From long term employees (some that have been there all along), to eating a meal everyday with her team, to giving meals in support of first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic, she and her business want to make people feel good.
In addition to the family atmosphere they have created at the restaurant with both the restaurant team and their guests, my guest formed a nonprofit dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer after the loss of her mother to the disease. This organization is supported by its premier partner, Kroger, as well as other household names such as Red Bull, Heineken, Coca Cola, Chobani, Kraft/Heinz, and many others.
During this episode, Maria shares two entrepreneurial tips: (i) erase the word impossible from your vocabulary and (ii) focus on how you make people feel.
