Hey everyone, it's Nathan and we don't have a full-length episode for you today because, well, honestly, we've just been a little busy launching Brian and Linda's new book, as you may have heard, unfolded Lessons in Transformation from an Origami Crane, which is out now. It's actually been out since June 4th and the response has been absolutely incredible. So today we just wanted to take a few moments to share a quick update about the book and then also give you a resource to help you go deeper with the material in the book. Now, if you haven't picked it up already, you can go to shoobringscom or click the link in the show notes. So, first off, unfolded has become a national bestseller on two major lists. This is very exciting, as Unfolded hit number one in business and number five overall on the USA Today list, and it just landed at number 17 on Publisher's Weekly's list of top selling hardcover nonfiction books. Wow, I mean to say that we're thrilled would be an absolute understatement. This allegory about a little origami crane and her dream to fly has really resonated with people, with leaders, with teams, with individuals, with everybody, and Brian and Linda. They've talked about just how they feel so humbled by this response and we're all just so incredibly grateful.

Unfolded is an allegory about an origami crane named OC. She's carefully folded and shaped, but she dreams of becoming a paper plane. The journey she takes to chase that dream mirrors the kind of journey that many of us face when we're called to grow, to change or just to become more fully ourselves. Here's one of my favorite quotes or lines from the book what if flying wasn't about becoming something else but about becoming more of who she already was? What if the folds she feared were not her limitations but her map? Now, you'll have to actually read it to get the full meaning out of this, but I like this line because I think it sums up what the book is all about. Life isn't about escaping who we are, but it's about uncovering what's already inside of us, even if we've forgotten how to see it Now.

The second thing I wanted to share with you here today is that there is a great resource that goes alongside the book, and it's totally free. This companion piece we've created is a free, downloadable reflection guide to help you or your team go deeper. It's full of thoughtful questions and prompts based on the themes of the book. You reflect on the people and places that have shaped you, your dreams, past, present and future. What kind of playgrounds you're growing into right now, which is something from the book if you haven't read it, and what it might mean to try to practice and eventually to fly, whatever that means to you Now, whether you're journaling on your own or using this as a conversation starter with your team, this guide is a great tool to help bring the story of Unfolded into your real everyday life.
