What's up everyone? I'm Ruthenna Porterfield, God's favorite, and I want you to get to know him. This is the meet my God podcast.

Today we meet God in Exodus, chapter four, verses 24 through 26. The first time I read these verses, they seemed out of place and out of character for God. But I've learned that cultural context and historical knowledge are very important when reading the Bible. You also need spiritual perspective. And so after further study, I realized that this passage is just about a man and a woman from two different cultures, the history of circumcision and how God should always come first in a marriage.
