What's it's going to be? My God!

SPEAKER_00

Okay, it's happening. What's the procedure? What's the procedure?

SPEAKER_01

Say my name. TV is awesome.

SPEAKER_08

You're goddamn right. Hello,

Hello TV Heads

SPEAKER_08

TV heads. Welcome back to TV is awesome. Everyone's favorite podcast about TV. And there is, there's uh, I mean, there's no dispute. It is everyone's favorite podcast about TV. I think we agree about that.

SPEAKER_06

I don't even think there's a contest.

SPEAKER_08

I don't think there's a contest. No. Uh I am your host, Ken. And as always, I'm here with my fantastic co-host, Lisa. Hello, Lisa. Hi, Ken. How are you? I'm okay. I'm hanging in there. That's right. I think we all are. I think we all are. Um, so we are in the middle of our epic watch of The Pit, which we're loving. And uh we're gonna get into that. But first,

Beverage of the Week

SPEAKER_08

uh Lisa, what are you uh consuming beverage-wise this week to get you through the tough times?

SPEAKER_06

You're gonna be surprised, Ken. But I did the thing feeling a little under the weather, so I made a hot toddy.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, nice.

SPEAKER_06

You see it? Yeah, it's a little murky because I use like powdered cinnamon. I don't have cinnamon sticks, I'm not bougie like that. No. Um, but I was like, I'm gonna hate this. So I did like put more honey in them. That's probably in the um ingredient list. And I also was like, I'm gonna have to make this sweeter because I'm I'm not gonna like this.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So I can't laugh or I'll start coughing. Um but I remembered I have all these flavored syrups. I was like, I need like some kind of syrup.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So I put this pear rosemary syrup in, which I feel like fits the favor flavor profile.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, and this is the bourbon I'm using. It's like a bourbon whiskey, it's called Blanton's. I don't know.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, Blanton's is good. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it's got a good yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, it's got a little horsey on top.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I was like, well, I think that the bourbon is gonna be bourbon. I think it's gonna be better for me than whiskey. I've yeah, whiskey's so dirt-like.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So in any case, um, yeah, so like lemon, honey, yeah, cinnamon, hopefully magic. Yeah, healing, healing magic.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um I probably put less less of the bourbon in than is expected, but yeah. It's gonna be great.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I think it's gonna be great. I also prepared, and I have some boiling water over here in case it starts getting a little too tapped.

SPEAKER_08

That's smart.

SPEAKER_06

What do you have going on today?

SPEAKER_08

Uh well, I went back to uh I was kind of rushing, so I went back to an old standby, my uh neutral uh vodka seltzers. So this is a black cherry, always good neutral. Yeah. I don't know who if neutral is somebody or if they're their own thing.

SPEAKER_03

Right. I think we talked about this, but yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Anyway, I like that. Neutral. I'm gonna open it right now. I'm gonna see if you can hear it.

SPEAKER_06

I heard the initial pop and then no fizz. Oh we heard it.

SPEAKER_09

All right, oh well.

SPEAKER_06

Heard it. Okay, are we gonna cheers? Yeah, we're gonna cheers.

SPEAKER_05

Cheers all the ways, cheers over here. Cheers, cheers over here, cheers, cheers me over here, cheers, cheers you over there.

SPEAKER_07

Cheers.

SPEAKER_05

Our editor is gonna love that right now.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, there's some bourbon in there.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, is it too bourbony?

SPEAKER_06

I no, I made it very sweet, so it's just the right balance.

SPEAKER_08

Ah, perfect.

SPEAKER_06

I figured it out. Yeah, I mean, I know everybody was worried about it. I figured it out, everybody.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Lots of sugar, lots of other ingredients.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, it's really hard. It's such a strong flavor that it's hard to cover, but oh man, the hotness of it is really soothing.

SPEAKER_08

I bet, yeah. Uh so Lisa,

What are Ken and Lisa Watching?

SPEAKER_08

what have you been watching or reading or listening to?

SPEAKER_06

Okay. So the last time we talked, I had been watching Task, but the finale had not come out yet.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So I finished it. Still recommend.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, I had like two quibbles, two quibbles, and it's my the same kind of quibbles I always have with a show, which is like, you know, something happens and everybody's just kind of hanging out. And I'm like, but why aren't you rushing to do this thing?

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Like, we know that you should be rushing to go do this thing. You can't be that shell-shocked that you can't be rushing to do this thing. I'm saying that so I don't spoil it. Um, you didn't watch it, right?

SPEAKER_08

No, not yet.

SPEAKER_06

Will you be watching it?

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, so we'll talk about that part later. But overall, well done. There's gonna be a lot of nominations out of this one.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, for sure. Oh, yeah. It's it's gotten gotten so much awards buzz already. I mean, and we're like a year out from the Emmys again, but right for sure, Ruffalo.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, um, but you know who else is like everybody's excellent, but you know who's so good. She's good in everything, and I hope she gets nominated. Is um oh my god, I can't I remember my brain is mush. Um child actress used to date Phoenix Rivers, um, Rivers Phoenix, wait.

SPEAKER_08

Oh Martha Plumpton, yes, thank you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Thank God you speak my language.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um yes, she's in it, and she's so good. Yeah, she's really good, she's really good in everything, yeah. Um yeah, so I highly recommend that. And then I'm assuming. Have you been watching the season two of Nobody Wants This?

SPEAKER_08

No, not yet. It's another thing I have to start.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, it's hard to pick up from like such a phenomenal season one. Yeah, it's good, it's so watchable, yeah, so very watchable. I mean, I don't have I don't necessarily get the same kind of like feeling I get from season one. Yeah, but they make some smart choices, and there's also a lot of like in jokes, meaning like fourth wall in jokes, like yeah, making fun of like other things that actors from the show have been in. Yeah, like references, so that's kind of fun. It's a fun show, yeah. It's fun.

SPEAKER_08

Um, mixed there's been some mixed reaction online.

SPEAKER_06

Interesting.

SPEAKER_08

Uh, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Hmm. Like what, for example?

SPEAKER_08

Like that it just too closely because I don't want to I yeah, I don't want to be spoiled. Right. But uh people just are like, eh, it's not, it's the general well, what I mean, not general, but like I've seen some comments where people are like, it's not as good as season one, it should have just been a one-season show, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I could see that. Uh, but I don't know, like I feel like so many shows get a backlash when they come back for a second season.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, you know, the writing is still pretty clever, yeah. Acting is great. Um, you know, it's okay. Yeah. Um, so I'm excited. I'm only I forget how many episodes there are. I'm almost done. I feel like I have two or three episodes left. So yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's been a fun ride. Okay. And of course, Seth Rogan's in it. Right. Yeah. Seth Rogan is in everything. Seth is becoming the um keeping memory. Who's the Nicole Kidman? He's becoming the new one.

SPEAKER_08

The new Nicole Kidman.

SPEAKER_06

Every movie, every TV show.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Right? Yeah, he's in so much.

SPEAKER_06

He's in so much.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

All at once.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. I mean, speaking of which, there's a second season of Plutonic on Apple, which I have not watched yet, but I'm dying to go back.

SPEAKER_06

And it came out, I think, when well, I think I was started watching the studio later. Did you finish the studio?

SPEAKER_08

I have got two episodes left. I'm so close. I'm so close.

SPEAKER_06

It's crazy. Um, but that was like still very buzzy.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

When Platonic landed.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And he was still doing press for that. I'm like, what? He's just everywhere. And he's in that new movie with um Keanu Reeves.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Directed by Azizari. Who and I only know that because I heard him on the Amy Polar podcast. But anyway, I love it.

SPEAKER_08

I know.

SPEAKER_03

I know.

SPEAKER_06

Um, yeah, so that's all I have to talk about. What do you what do you have going on?

SPEAKER_08

So in lieu of watching Nobody Wants This, I watched Slow Horses season five, which is a very which is a favorite show of mine.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, there's five seasons.

SPEAKER_08

Now, yeah, the there's five seasons.

SPEAKER_03

Um I'm so behind on that.

SPEAKER_08

I know, and it's a little bit daunting when there's five seasons, but each season only has six episodes, so you can really zip right through it. Yeah, you can definitely it's like it's on that like British model of TV where they just have six episodes of a show.

SPEAKER_06

So and here I was about to brag about how I watched the full full first season in one night. Now you're telling me it was only six episodes. But I very I very much remember being like, Am I gonna watch a movie or am I just gonna start a show? Yeah, so I watched six hours of a show instead of watching one movie. I've watched six hours of a show. Right. I was happier for it, honestly.

SPEAKER_08

I think you were. Yeah. I give you loved it. I give you credit, I give you full credit for watching it in one night.

SPEAKER_06

Thank you.

SPEAKER_08

That is still an accomplishment.

SPEAKER_06

And I meant to start season two like right after that, and who knows what happened, but yeah, man, yeah, I love that. It's good, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

You'll like it. Yeah, keep going. Keep going. Okay. Uh and then I listened to an episode of Criminal, which I haven't I've been kind of off the criminal off the criminal lately. Uh, but they had a special, I mean, they didn't call it this, but uh in my mind it's a special Halloween episode, which I'm sure it was, but it's about it's about and I had already seen the movie, so it was so interesting. So there's there was a uh the BBC aired a movie in the 90s called. Do you know about the story? Okay.

SPEAKER_06

So this is a that must not be a new episode of Criminal. Oh, maybe I think that's how I heard about it.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Then I we watched the document. There's a documentary about it too.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, criminal is interesting because they don't tell you when it's a they don't necessarily say this is a this is a re a rebroadcast.

SPEAKER_06

They don't always say that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

So I guess I missed it whenever it was originally.

SPEAKER_06

Did you already know the story?

SPEAKER_08

I already knew some of the story, and I had watched the movie on Shudder. Oh, but I didn't know there's a lot more background in the episode that I heard about, which is interesting.

SPEAKER_06

Sorry, you go ahead. I interrupted you. You say what it was. Oh no, it's okay. What happened?

SPEAKER_08

So it's about it's sort of like a a War of the Worlds type thing. So War of the Worlds was a famous uh Orson Wells, they did a broadcast on the radio in the late 30s, where they did a version of War of the Worlds, but they acted as if it was really happening, and people believed it and they freaked out. So this was similar where they did they made a movie, it used real BBC commentators, and it was filmed like a documentary, and it's was done before before it was a common thing to do movies that were like documentaries that were horror movies. Right, right, right. And so it's about a it's about a haunting and a possession, and they aired it on the BBC, and people really believed it, and they freaked out.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Uh so it's really interesting to think about the reaction of people at the time and looking back on it now from our vantage point all these years later. Really interesting story. But then they did a second part. Do you remember the set? So there's a second part that's a separate story about about K-Rock, about K Rock, the LA radio station, a DJ there in the I don't remember what it was now. But they he was he was uh it had to be perhaps also in the 90s.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

They he was he was new, they're hiring all these new people. He was not he was like, he's he admits he's like, I wasn't really qualified for this job, but am I gonna turn down getting a DJ job? No. So they're trying to find ways to get engagement, get people to listen. Okay, and they did this thing where they said, Call in, and if you have committed a crime, call in and tell us a crime you've committed. Yeah. And they weren't getting really interesting stories. So he calls it. Who in the world's gonna do that? Right. Right. So he calls his buddy and says, Come up with something really juicy and then call in. And so his buddy calls in and makes up the story that he killed his girlfriend. So immediately it was way too far, way too, way too serious, way too big. They didn't know how to handle it. They just decided we're not gonna tell anybody, we're just gonna lie about it. The police investigate. Right. Hundreds of hundreds of people think maybe it's there, they know something, and then finally they have to admit to it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

They get overheard talking about it, and a reporter gets hears about it, and they have to admit to it.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_08

Crazy stories.

SPEAKER_06

Great stories. It's it's those are great stories.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I think they also did one one year around Halloween, or maybe it was about it was something about um they had a she did a bunch of ones where it was like spiritualism and like something like that, but it was in oh it's a famous story about this town. Thought there was a ghost. This town thought there was a ghost in their town, and one guy just decides, like, well, I'm gonna kill the ghost with a gun. And you know, he's camping out. No, so everybody's in a heightened state, and you know, he's there and he's like, Oh my god, I see the ghost, I see the ghost. And he shoots this guy who's wearing like white painters outfit. And I feel like this was like in the 20s, maybe. Yeah, um, and yeah, so he killed a guy, like killed a guy thinking he was killing a ghost.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So I feel like that's a pretty like they do a lot of stories like that, which I like those stories. And I think that one actually contributed to a law that we still have, and I can't remember what the law is, but um, like maybe you can't shoot ghosts. Right, it's against the law, Ken. Um, but anyway, yeah, I really like criminal goes in and out with me, and and lately I'm on the same boat as you, as like it's these stories that she's been doing so recently are so infuriating, and they're the kind that I hate. Like they're the really awful, like terrible ones. And sometimes I can get into them and sometimes I can't, but I can't do so many in a row.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um dip back in.

SPEAKER_08

I'm also missing she used to do more stories where there was kind of almost like a twist. Like, maybe I don't know how they found so many great stories that that at the end there was some kind of something that happened that changed what you thought it was about.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And maybe I'm just like remembering some of the like the really great ones that did that. But uh I feel like every episode was a story that maybe didn't have a twist, but it always the story I thought, oh, that I I didn't know about that is fascinating. Or I didn't know anything about that, right? Uh and I don't feel like there's as many of those kinds of stories lately.

SPEAKER_06

I agree. I miss it. I'm gonna I'm gonna tap back in one of these days.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I shouldn't read the blurbs. That's my downfall. I shouldn't, I should just trust. I should just trust that it's gonna be a good story. Yeah, but the last few I listened to were so egregious, and they're like nobody believed them. Or I know.

SPEAKER_08

I did listen to a couple recently. There was one about a Thai woman who basically got trafficked to trafficked to Singapore? Somewhere. So it was about these women who have to, who have to be they're they're basically uh they have to do phone sex, they have to do not phone sex, but they have to, they're trying to scam people. Oh and actually it was really good, but it was like, oh my god, the things that happen to people. But it's about how she bands together with other women in her in her uh where she's being held prisoner, basically to escape. Uh I mean it was a good story, but it's also like harrowing.

SPEAKER_06

So hard to listen to, yeah, exactly. It's been like that. Um there's been some, you know, the injustices of slavery kind of episodes. I don't know. I have to work up to that. So yeah, yeah. But I do miss it. Um, anything

The Pitt Discussion

SPEAKER_06

else?

SPEAKER_08

No, that's it. Shall we uh get into it?

SPEAKER_06

Let's get to let's get into it. Oh, wait, before we get into it, I would like to address a couple of things.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_06

I'm remembering, Ken. I'm remembering things.

SPEAKER_08

Yay.

SPEAKER_06

Um, okay.

SPEAKER_08

These are our predictions.

SPEAKER_06

Well, what is you were absolutely right about the ECMO machine. We had had a hearty discussion because I had misheard and I thought in the flashback to Dr. Adamson being taken off, they were saying, they were saying he's been on there for so long. There's a 12-year-old who's waiting. I interpreted that as needing his organs, which now doesn't make sense because he was riddled with COVID and whatnot. But um, but no, you were right. You had said no, they need the ECMO machine. You can't be on the ACMO machine that long. So, and because there's so few. Yeah. And the 12-year-old needs it.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So that is true. I researched that, and you were right. Um, I'll also say that I was somewhat spoiled. That's the danger of research on it.

SPEAKER_07

I got spoiled on a couple things too.

SPEAKER_06

I wonder if it's the same things.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Well, one of them I will say I feel they're laying the groundwork for in these episodes that we watched. Um, so when we get to that, we can talk about it. And I wasn't even fully spoiled. My what?

SPEAKER_08

I was gonna say, I bet it it's sounding like I think the thing that I was spoiled on. So we'll see.

SPEAKER_06

Does your thing have to do with Langdon?

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, okay.

unknown

All right.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Does your thing have to do with what's my other spoiler? Mohan?

SPEAKER_08

No.

unknown

Oh shit.

SPEAKER_06

Oh shit.

SPEAKER_08

Mine has to do with Collins. Oh. And then it has to do with a big plot point.

SPEAKER_05

Oh. Shit, and you were spoiled against your will?

SPEAKER_08

The Collins thing I was definitely spoiled on, and I'm upset about it. And I will tell you when I when we get to it.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

The other thing is just a plot. I don't think it I don't think it ruins. I don't think it ruins anything.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. Okay. Um okay, let's see. Um uh Collins. Do you know what her first name is? How dare, how dare these these summary recap articles use first names? What? Why are they doing that? I know, because they don't.

SPEAKER_08

I didn't even write down any of their first names.

SPEAKER_06

No, and so in preparation for today, I was doing some recap studying, and I'm like, who the fuck is Heather? Oh my god, her first name is Heather? Would never, would never have guessed.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Isn't that crazy?

SPEAKER_08

That's crazy. The only one I refer to by her first name is Dana, nurse Dana.

SPEAKER_06

Nurse Dana. And also, Oh, Dr.

SPEAKER_09

Mel, right?

SPEAKER_06

Dr. Mel. Mel and um Santos, I think her first name is Trinity. Someone is Trinity. Okay, somebody is Trinity.

SPEAKER_10

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

And I'm like, I got so confused that I was just like, well, I'm gonna move on to a different article, honestly, because I can't keep up with all these names. Yeah, I can't even keep up with the names when I know them. Yeah. Or you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, and I just want to also congratulate us on predicting that Mohan was right about her TikToker.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, yes.

SPEAKER_08

And she even got a little like a moment of approval, silent approval from Dr. Robbie.

SPEAKER_06

An invisible thumbs up, you know, as it were. We also, I just want to say, we also said something happens with Dana. Yeah. We said something happens with Dana. We said probably something with Robbie, but we weren't sure.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Um, it's not what I thought it would be, but it's not what I thought it would be.

SPEAKER_06

And I really had a hard time not hitting next on that watch button.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I really wanted to see the next what happened next. I'll just say the things that have not happened yet that we um that we kind of predict or were trying to predict is um well, we we were predicting that Robbie was gonna have some kind of crisis meltdown. That hasn't happened yet.

SPEAKER_09

Not yet.

SPEAKER_06

Um, we said ginger was off her meds, that has not been determined yet.

SPEAKER_09

Nope.

SPEAKER_06

That could still happen, right? Yeah, she fully discharged.

SPEAKER_09

No.

SPEAKER_06

No, she's still talking, they're still talking. Okay, yeah. Yeah. Um, we said Whitaker was gonna get another fluid on him and that his next scrubs were gonna be pink. Wisteroo. Yeah, he got new scrubs, yeah. From a new nurse?

SPEAKER_08

From a nurse we'd have to be. Haven't met before.

SPEAKER_06

She seemed so like, uh, I know you.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I really had to question my sanity. I know you're on the same page with me. We don't know her.

SPEAKER_08

I I did not recognize her.

SPEAKER_06

Interesting. We were like a little first five minutes. Maybe we did. And she's maybe in the background, and we just haven't noticed. True. True. Was she hitting on him with scrubs? She seemed like it. I mean, she seemed like it until she saw that rat.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, and then the next thing we said is Dr. Mel, Lisa says something happens with her sister, and Ken says we were just getting to know who Becca was. Hindsight, that was we were talking about her talking, like that they actually showed her on the phone. In hindsight, it's because of a case that happened. Right. And destroyed me forever.

SPEAKER_08

I know. Oh, that was a rough one.

SPEAKER_06

Uh rough.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Uh just one of those days, as Robbie said, Dr. Robbie said.

SPEAKER_08

Right, right. And it was all in episode eight, because we had it was we had that plot, and then we had the we had the walk. What did they call it?

SPEAKER_04

We had the walk.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Uh we had a man. The honor walk. Yeah, the honor walk. That was really that was super rough.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Uh every part of it.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I was pretty dehydrated by the end, to be honest.

SPEAKER_08

I know. I know. Oh, we also started with poor Collins and her miscarriage.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, let's talk about that. Because coming right off of seven into eight, I was like, she's just gonna go back to work.

SPEAKER_09

I know.

SPEAKER_06

She's just gonna go back to work. Yeah, which ultimately is what she did. But I do appreciate that, like, she took her minutes that she needed to, but then went and directly gave herself an ultrasound.

SPEAKER_07

Right.

SPEAKER_06

But I was still like, this is the great thing about this show. I was still like, she should go see her doctor, she should see her doctor, right? You know, her OB. Yeah, and um, and Dana says that later, yeah, you know, yeah, it's it's really smart writing, like they don't forget about things like that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, what did you think about so Robbie? Well, I don't know if there is anything to think about it, but Robbie knows that something like he walks in on her giving herself the ultrasound. I know she he saw, and he saw, and then is it that hard to figure out? Well, he doesn't seem to quite know because then he asks Dana what's going on, right? She seems normal to me, and then he asks her later, but they get interrupted. He asks Colin Collins later, they get interrupted, and then they have the cute little moment in the in the room with the rat, which is not related, but I think I feel like he's about to ask her again, right? And then and then he sees the rat. He was like, Don't look. He's don't look, and she's like, What? What? Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Wait, I have a very uh sidebar question. Is there just one rat? I thought there were rats plural. I thought they were talking about rats plural this whole time.

SPEAKER_08

Rats plural, right?

SPEAKER_06

I remember more than one coming out of that guy's jacket.

SPEAKER_08

Yes, okay, great.

SPEAKER_06

All right, now I'm not crazy then.

SPEAKER_08

So we're not done with rats yet.

SPEAKER_06

No, but and the reason I asked that is because one of the recaps was like, Whitaker's the hero. At least that saga is over. And I'm like, no, no, it is not. No, it is not. It is absolutely not more. So the person who wrote that article is uh not keeping track of rats, must not be scared of them or whatever. I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

Or too scared to keep track.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, for sure, there are more than one, right? I knew that that was gonna happen with that dog. I knew it the way they were I did too.

SPEAKER_08

I know when they say terrier, make sure you close when they said terrier, make sure you close, make sure you close the door. Yeah, don't want whatever his name is to get out. Herbie. No, Kirby, her Herbie, hold please, hold, please, Crosby, Crosby, right, named after David Crosby.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, that's what we found out, right? We did cutest dog, cutest dog, so cute. I actually went to his um, yes, Crosby has a um not an IMDB, but like a uh like a book me page. Whoa, because I was like, what kind of dog is that? Because I didn't picture Terrier, um, and all they'll say is a Chihuahua mix, which I also don't think like so cute. Yeah, yeah, but I don't know. When you get a mixed dog like that, you who knows how it will present.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, for sure. But yeah, um so cute. Yeah, so big Crosby fan.

SPEAKER_06

Me too. I hope he's sticking around, yeah. Um, at least until thousand pieces of road is out of that guy's leg. Jesus.

SPEAKER_08

I know. I did love it when not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but when Langdon presents it to Dr. Mel as a uh something for her to work on, and she's like like a treat. Yeah, and she said and she she treats it like it's a treat.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

She says, a thousand.

SPEAKER_06

She gets, yeah, that pulled her right out of her little depression.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, her little funk.

SPEAKER_06

Mm-hmm. Um, so yeah, but let's talk about that. Um so the only thing I was processing in my head is that perhaps the ultrasound is not just used for baby, right? Like maybe she's doing an ultrasound because she's having like a kidney pain, or like I don't know. Maybe doctors just do it on themselves for different reasons. Oh, meaning go there. He might think she'd be using it for something else, not necessarily for because it's clearly the ultrasound machine that they had just used on a previous patient, right? Yeah. So Rob Dr. Robbie knows that it's an ultrasound machine.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I think he can see that she's he's she's doing it.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, and then the only other thing is that maybe he's just like his brain doesn't go there because maybe he knows she's not dating anyone, and maybe this is an IVF situation. Maybe yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I could also think that he suspects but doesn't want to ask outright.

SPEAKER_06

Mm-hmm. The look on his face did not seem to be like, oh, it seemed more like, huh, like, yeah, what's up? So anyway.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that'll be interesting.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

If that ever comes out for her.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um she's I mean, she's handling it pretty well. She once she's working.

SPEAKER_10

Is, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, I love that she confided in Dana though.

SPEAKER_08

I know. And then they held hands when they held hands during the talk.

SPEAKER_06

During the talk, and I loved that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I loved that so much. And I hate that that that their uh whatever they call that. Um when they had their little meeting after that they called up uh, but you know, that they got interrupted because Dr. Harry was really sharing something. Yeah, you know, yeah, yeah. That was oh god, awful. Do we even have to talk about it?

SPEAKER_08

We don't.

SPEAKER_06

Do we even have to talk about it?

SPEAKER_08

We could skip.

SPEAKER_06

Here's what I will say. Fascinating, unbelievable writing. Everybody was doing what they had to do, the reactions on everybody's faces, the like the um vibe, as it were, like everyone had the right energy for that. Yeah, I'm always impressed, like in hindsight, of being like, oh my god, we don't know that mom and dad. Like, they're not actors that we're used to, like they're the not characters that we've seen, and they came in and had to do that. I know they had to come in and do that, I know, and it was so real.

SPEAKER_10

I know.

SPEAKER_06

And they're basically back to the city.

SPEAKER_08

Interestingly, you know, I I thought the mom's grief was so powerful in the moment. So I looked her up. She's a big soap actor. Oh, she's gonna have days of our lives. No way, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, good for her. Yeah, so I was like, maybe the pet is gonna be like, you know, ER or um law and order, where like lots of actors, like kind of like boom, then they get it.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, when we're like, yeah, we we saw we knew them when.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, the guy who got hit by the car. I mean, I for sure know him as an actor. I've seen him in a million things. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's an interesting mix, but man, she nailed no wonder she nailed it soap actors.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, she was she was incredible, and she really just said that one. Really, just a couple of scenes. A couple of scenes. Powerful, powerful, heartbreaking, heartbreaking.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, something worse, and then oh, the war, and then don't even get me started with Dr. Mel and the Bear.

SPEAKER_08

I know, I know that little girl. I know so well done, though, when she runs out of the room and you think that she can't handle it, right? But she's really just going to get the bear. It's a bear, right? So that they have a thing.

SPEAKER_06

So but the more most importantly, they find out that the girl died to save her.

SPEAKER_08

Right. She was trying to rescue her sister. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, really so tough. Well done, though. Like really well done. And I oh she hated it.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Well, yeah, it was a rough show. I actually wrote this is a tough app.

SPEAKER_08

I know. So to get this out of the way, we kind of wrap up the story with the with the uh the couple whose son has died, and they decide to donate his organs. And so that whole scene, oh, that whole thing got me to when they everyone's touching the you know, putting their hands on the parents, and then and then and then Dr. Robbie says, We'd like to some of us would like to go to the funeral because the mom says, I guess this is I guess this is it. And then he's like, I some of us like to go to the funeral.

SPEAKER_06

And then her reaction was both of them, yeah, both of them, the mom and the dad were still like oh, like I'm I'm gonna cry.

SPEAKER_08

No, I know, I know.

SPEAKER_06

Don't make me cry until I hot body can. Yeah, it was rough all around.

SPEAKER_07

It was, it was what a day, but also well done.

SPEAKER_06

Because in the midst of that is um, you know, everything else that's happening.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, and they're they do a really good job of alternating lighter stories between the really heavy ones, right? And it doesn't seem it feels natural, yeah. It feels natural, we're in an ER, all kinds of things are happening, but it gives you a little relief from the really heavy stuff, right?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it gives it an appropriate enough enough time to these really harrowing stories, right? So it doesn't feel unbalanced, it doesn't feel like I really wish we had spent more time here or yeah, it's too fluffy for this. Like it's a really good balance, yeah, yeah. Um so pivoting now to one of those stories, but an ongoing story, Rita came back. Rita came back. I don't think we even predicted if she was coming back or not. I think we both were sort of like she has to come back.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_06

She has to come back, right?

SPEAKER_08

Right. And it was, I thought, oh, that's a good explanation, right? Like she literally fell asleep in her car. I mean, I do do you believe it or I I believed it, but maybe I don't know, as we're talking about it, I'm like, maybe that's not what happened.

SPEAKER_06

I think it was a little bit of both.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, to be honest.

SPEAKER_06

I think it was a little bit of I'm gonna stay here as long as I can, you know, and like purposefully not go back in for a while, but then probably also doze off.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_06

You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_08

She did seem pretty panicked that she got so many missed calls.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, for sure. That's true.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, yeah, and they're just like, I just love that they're also talking to um the social worker.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And Rita seemed overwhelmed with that. Like to be like, we can't afford that. One, two, that there was just like that they were helping her so much, yeah, which was really nice. Man, that social worker is the hardest worker there.

SPEAKER_08

Like, she is everything.

SPEAKER_06

They need three of her, they need three of her, and she's very calm.

SPEAKER_08

She's she's so calm, very calm.

SPEAKER_06

She is the right person for that job.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, she had some nice moments with Dr. Mel, and then she had some really nice moments with Whitaker.

SPEAKER_06

I kind of love that line where he's like, I'm gonna volunteer for the yeah, the thing where they go out and you mean after he went in and like full full hazmat and then like started peeling layers off. Yeah, that's really funny. I don't blame him though.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah. I mean, he's got he's gotta protect those scrubs, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. For his face, for his face, got it. He really got it.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, he got he got peed in the face, yeah, and he got blood shot into his face.

SPEAKER_06

Yes. He was also puked on at some point, and he's puked on.

SPEAKER_08

That sounds right.

SPEAKER_06

I feel like I think I feel like he got it all.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

But you know what's interesting? I'm just thinking, like, shouldn't he be tested?

SPEAKER_08

Uh I know.

SPEAKER_06

Because they I mean it's in his could have gone in his eyes, his nose.

SPEAKER_08

Right, because when uh Garcia got the scalpel in her foot, that was one of the things. Like, we should we do a they said should we do a uh a screen?

SPEAKER_06

Mm-hmm. Yeah, why aren't they doing that for him? I know we can't be smarter than the snow. There's no way. No, there's no way maybe it already happened, and like in a later show, they're gonna be like, oh, your test results are back. Something.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Wow, why are we just thinking of that?

SPEAKER_10

I know.

SPEAKER_06

Um, Robbie was eating a protein bar.

SPEAKER_08

He was.

SPEAKER_06

Thank God. I know he needed it.

SPEAKER_08

I know. Now he's peed, he's got some food. Yes, gonna be fine.

SPEAKER_06

Right. Yes, things are going his way, yeah. Um tell me why it's important that we saw Louie, who had like the lethal dose alcohol guy in the recap, and then in this episode we see him come back. Why is that important? Is that important? Did anything happen with him? Am I forgetting?

SPEAKER_08

Uh I think it's only important because he was coming back, right? Well, here's the thing. But I think there is, I mean, I think the real the real thing is that it's ratcheting the tension up between Langdon and Santos, right? Right. Uh so she he's got was it Delaudded? What was the they was given a drug Librium? Librium. I wrote it down 20 20 pills or something. She's like, you've only got 10 here. That's right. So she was questioning Langdon's prescribing Librium to him.

SPEAKER_06

And they went and counted it or something.

SPEAKER_08

They went and did something, or she showed Dana showed her how it works to get the right, but then it went back to like this is the I miss this because it's the whatever it was that she was injecting in the previous episodes. Yeah. That she couldn't get it open. The bottle she couldn't get open.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that's what they checked, right? Right, right.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah. And I'm I'm not sure how she got from asking about the Librium to can we check the bottles? But she did.

SPEAKER_06

I think it was just, yeah, she was just like, I So what I'm thinking is that she is thinking that it's gonna be a pattern with him.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

With Langdon. That's what she's thinking. That he's doing something.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, right. She's implying that he is, well, she actually says it to Garcia, right? That yes, he is he's like hor like taking the medication, right? Like maybe he's got a drug problem.

SPEAKER_06

Right. That's what she says.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

And that when she was like, You've been here like what three hours?

SPEAKER_08

I know.

SPEAKER_06

And she had just gotten back on Garcia's good side. I know, she's too bold.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So that's interesting. Yeah. Um, and you're right, that is probably why they brought him back because it's a recurring person. When Santos is thinking that he can do this with this person because he's in and out. Yep. And he's always drunk. Always drunk.

SPEAKER_08

Right. Nobody's checking too closely. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Um, do you think she really believes this? Or do you think she has a drug, uh, a drug, a grudge?

SPEAKER_06

No, I think she really believes it. Okay. I think with this part on top of the because I don't fully understand what he could have been doing with the vial.

SPEAKER_10

Right.

SPEAKER_06

Right. I don't understand what he could have been doing fully there.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Like, what are you doing? Because the implication is if you're taking it, then you're giving your patient like water.

SPEAKER_08

I know. I know.

SPEAKER_06

We have heard we've all heard the stories about that happening.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_06

It happens a lot.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, so I guess there's a way, but like the that patient got better, right? Or was that one where Robbie was not Robbie Langdon was like, you only have to give him half, or something like that. Like, yeah. I don't know. But levels seem to be an issue.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Tampering for Santos.

SPEAKER_08

Bottles. Yeah, maybe you're right. It's tampering or something. Like, I thought she was at first with the vials when it came up in the previous episode, that she was implying that Langdon set her up for failure somehow.

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_08

Right?

SPEAKER_06

That's what I thought too. Except now I'm thinking, based on this pill situation, that it's adding to something that she was thinking that is different than what you and I were talking about.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like she's formulating this idea in her head that he is stealing drugs.

SPEAKER_06

Right, right.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Stealing slash potentially using.

SPEAKER_08

Potentially using. And I guess that, I guess you're right. The tamper in the bottle goes back to the idea that maybe he opened it and took the and put filled it with water, right? Like those famous cases. Right. Okay. That makes sense.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Or partially did that. Something like that. Um and like once I started thinking that way, I was like, oh, um In his behavior, one if she's questioning the vials and then she's questioning the pills, he is probably yelling at her because maybe she's on to him. I'm just this is just uh like because his behavior towards her is crazy when he's not like that to anybody else, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_08

Well, his I would say his his behavior to her is way over the top, yeah, but it's not out of nowhere, it's because he thinks she's reckless, right? And she's constant he feels like she's constantly going over his head or going working around him, right? And he like way, he blows up and it's way too much.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_08

Uh but I don't think it's I don't think it's necessarily I mean I didn't that interpretation is is interesting that maybe he's trying to cover up. I didn't even think about that. I was I was thinking well I was thinking it was an overreaction to the situation, yeah, but it was reacting to her how he sees her behavior.

SPEAKER_06

And when Dr. Robbie pulls him aside because he hears him, yeah, he's like super embarrassed and like deflated by the whole thing, right? Like he knows he shouldn't be doing that, so he's like out of control.

SPEAKER_08

He got all worked up. Yeah, he got all worked up.

SPEAKER_10

And then yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Did you get the I'm just thinking of this now. Like, did you did you get any kind of like I forget actually what Dr. Robbie said. I don't know if I wrote it down, but that he had done that before? Or I just knew Dr. Robbie was like, we do not do that. That is not something we do.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, no, I didn't think he I didn't think so.

SPEAKER_06

Right. I do think that Langdon was like, I know it's not something we do. Like he knew he was wrong.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Um, yeah, it was like he as soon as he was taken out of the situation, yes, he realized he fucked up. Right. Uh I mean the other thing is like Dr. Robbie's already said you're my best doctor to Langdon. Yes. And I'm recommending you for this blah blah blah fellowship or whatever.

SPEAKER_06

That's right. That's right.

SPEAKER_08

So but that would be really that would be an interesting twist if he really did have a drug plot problem and Santos picked up on it.

SPEAKER_06

It would be crazy.

SPEAKER_08

It'd be kind of crazy.

SPEAKER_06

It would be crazy. Yeah. Um, but I was like, oh, now that I'm clued into what I think she's saying, yeah, I was just trying to think of that side of it. Are there any clues? Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_08

So are you I don't know how to ask this without uh was this does this have any relation to your spoiler?

SPEAKER_06

It does, and I don't know what I can say because what I saw was not a full spoiler. It wasn't this is definitely happening. Okay, but it was a question that is posed that probably contributed to me thinking of this, right? Like this way. Okay, but I don't know what's gonna happen. Should I just say it?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, just say it.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, so when I was Googling, it was it was it the question was does Langdon ever get caught? So the implication is that there is something happening. Oh but it doesn't fully it could be the answer, could be no, there was nothing to be caught for. Right, it was a question. I didn't read beyond the question. But the question implies he is getting away with something, but also it could be something that hasn't happened yet, it could be totally unrelated to this, right?

SPEAKER_08

That is true.

SPEAKER_06

What was I Googling at the time? I was not even Googling anything about him. Oh no, no, like what what I was Googling was trying to Google things when you have to put like a whole paragraph in, it's ridiculous. I was you and I had been talking about how when Whitaker hit the artery in the ankle and that whole thing.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Why did Langdon say to him, like, in another hospital, he might have he probably would have died? Yeah. And so I sometimes Googled it with Langdon and without Langdon's name. Yeah. So I think just once I put his name in, everything about Langdon came up, but that was the only thing I saw.

SPEAKER_10

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

But it could be something that he does later.

SPEAKER_09

Right.

SPEAKER_06

He tries to cover up.

SPEAKER_09

Right. It could be, yeah, it could be.

SPEAKER_06

But never, but but honestly, Ken, like because that's in my head now, and now I think that is what she's trying to imply. Yeah, we didn't know until this episode that that's what she was trying to imply. We thought it was tink making it hard for her.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Yeah. Um, that is so now I'm sort of like so looking for clues.

SPEAKER_06

Interesting. It is interesting, it could be anything. Gosh. And and I like him.

SPEAKER_08

I just I do too. I I have also like grown to like him.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_08

Because he seemed like he seemed like the classic asshole doc at the beginning. Yeah, and then you see all the different sides, like they do a really good job with that character.

SPEAKER_06

The way he is with Dr. Mal.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

The way he um calls his kids after they lose the girl.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

The way he's like trying to take Dana's advice about taking care of his wife and kids, like it feels very genuine and he feels like a more complex character, right? Like so I just and I do appreciate his, you know, when he gets into the banter with what's her name, and he could have been just very one-dimensional, and he's not. Yeah. So I don't like it.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Well, now you're in on it. Now you're in on my spoiler.

SPEAKER_08

Now I'm in on it. So I'm not gonna reveal my spoiler, but can I tell you how I heard about it?

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Not to go off on a tangent. But this is so frustrating. Oh, no. I was listening to a podcast episode that's recapping, I was listening to a podcast episode that recapped the second to last episode of Slow Horses, this new season, which I talked about at the beginning of the episode.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And the guest, the guest on the episode was our favorite Alan Sepperwall.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

And in this middle, in the middle of this discussion about Slow Horses, season five, episode five, he reveals this, he like reveals this big spoiler about something that happens on the pit. He was like, ah, I was too late. I couldn't cover my ears. He didn't even say like spoiler alert. Right. He was just like, when this happens, oh no. He was like, I can't remember how it came up, but I think he was saying something like, Well, this reminds me of when blah, blah, blah, blah, blah happened on the pit.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god. Oh no.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Yeah. So that is a little bit of a frustrating thing that happened because I'm so careful.

SPEAKER_06

And you think it's gonna ruin your enjoyment of the show?

SPEAKER_08

Like, would it be something that you were like, huh, when it happened, or is it one thing not ruined my enjoyment of the show is probably too strong, but it's a something that I am very disappointed about. That's all I'll say.

SPEAKER_06

Damn it. God damn it.

SPEAKER_08

All I'm gonna say.

SPEAKER_06

My other spoiler is really fun. I'm not gonna say anything. Okay, but I will ask you this question.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

It's funny because it was something that someone posed in one of the summary articles that I was reading, but like the article was like, is anyone ever gonna kiss on this show? Oh, and they're trying to ship, of course, Dr. Robbie and Collins.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Um, so how do you feel about that? Like, do you think people are gonna kiss on this show? I mean, it's certainly not gonna be Javardi and Mateo.

SPEAKER_08

I'm gonna say I do ship Dr. Collins and Dr. Robbie.

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_08

Do I think they're gonna kiss? I don't think I would love it if somebody kissed on the show, but I don't think it's gonna happen because I don't think it would be realistic, and the show's too realistic for that. The only way I could see them kissing would be if it was revealed that they actually are in a relationship and we we just don't know what don't know it yet. Yeah. Right. That's all. That could happen. That could happen.

SPEAKER_06

Right, it could happen. It could happen.

SPEAKER_08

I don't think like I don't I don't think two characters who have just met in this that today are gonna kiss. Like Javati and Mateo, which we already know is not gonna happen. Um the human I was kind of shipping them a little bit, they were adorable.

SPEAKER_06

No, it would have been cute, except she's so fucking awkward. She's so surprised and disgusted all the time.

SPEAKER_08

I know. I do love that story. I loved when she tells a story about Utah to Dana. Yes, and then she's like, I feel like Utah. Is that what she says? All right, she says he is like a walking, he's the human Utah. Human Utah.

SPEAKER_06

Wait, is that what she says? It is very funny, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And then Dana like wraps her arms around her and says, She's like, She's like, that's the best thing I've heard all day. And she's like, I hope you have a lifetime of Utah's.

SPEAKER_06

She says, Mateo is like a human Utah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Um, I wish you many Utahs in your life.

SPEAKER_06

Right, right, right, right. I love that. So fun. Um, and I literally can't tell if what I saw is characters on the show, or if these two people are just dating in real life. Oh. Um, like the two actors. Okay. So it'll be so fun. Um, okay. But it did make me think, like along your lines, right? Like maybe there are people in relationships that we don't know about yet. Like we suspected um Robbie and Collins, and that came true.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Past relationship. But um, yeah, interesting.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I feel like there's so much more to happen.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Because I'm like, oh, like dodging stuff. And I'm like, Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Here's the thing about Collins and Robbie, though. If they were currently in a relationship, he would know she's pregnant.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't think they're carried on the pregnancy. Right, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Because I mean, if she's had reached the stage where she was buying strollers, he would know.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, and we also know that she said that's ancient history, but she could also have been That's true.

SPEAKER_08

She did say that.

SPEAKER_06

She could be also hiding that, but I feel like she says things to Dana all the time.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_06

Um, what was I gonna say? But I think you're right. If it unfolds, it will be something we didn't know about yet.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And it just kind of like pops up, like nobody's talking about it because we've only been here for five hours.

SPEAKER_08

Well, we don't know everything, Ken. No, now we've been there for nine hours.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, nine? Yeah, yeah, right, because it's not nine episodes. You're right, you're right, you're right. You're right. Um, okay, so that was fun. That was good talking about all that stuff.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I guess if we're spoiled, we're spoiled. Although I don't want to know your spoiler. I don't want to know.

SPEAKER_10

You don't want to know.

SPEAKER_06

I don't want to know. Um, but speaking of criminal, one of the uh one of the side, well, I'm not gonna say side, but not nearly as devastating, although it talking could have been um cases is the man and his pacemaker. Yeah, comes in and then they're like working on him, and he's like he he's saying some medical jargon, and they're like, Were you a doctor? And he was like, No, blah blah blah. But it was part, he was part of the um Freedom House pre-911. And um that's how I know about this. Once they started talking about it, I was like, I know about this because of criminal criminal whole episode on free pre-911. Um, this particular, I don't know what you call it. Um my god, you know, yeah, organization, I guess. Yeah, they trained people to go out to emergencies, yeah. Um, and it was, I guess it was called Freedom House, but also um they like worked with a doctor who invented CPR. Whoa. That was the other part of this whole thing. It's all one thing, it's unbelievable. Wow, find that criminal, find that criminal. I will, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Um, yeah, those are the kind of ones that I'm like, oh my God, I didn't know anything about this. And then once they started weaving this through, I was like, oh, this is so cool that they're doing this.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah. You know, and it was a little bit of like uh, here's our here's our history moment. Here's our moment of history on the pit. That's right. Like they do occasionally do here's our moment of our learning corner on the pit. We're gonna teach you about ECMO. Today we're gonna teach about the history of of uh emergency medicine. The right the more you go.

SPEAKER_06

Do do do do do do um I did not realize I had in my head that it was Philly, so I was like, oh, it's Pittsburgh. I mean Pennsylvania, but like I that was also it was really cool that they they brought that in. Um and then what was I gonna say about that?

SPEAKER_08

Oh, the other you already had a win, a big win. I loved it. How great was that? Uh so good, so good. Uh and I think she even got her mom to like there was like a moment of like pride at the end, right?

SPEAKER_03

I couldn't tell.

SPEAKER_08

I couldn't tell. I well, I had to go back and rewatch it because I I wasn't sure either. But then when I when I went back and I rewound it, there's like a little hint of a smile, I think, at the end.

SPEAKER_06

Like she might be good after all.

SPEAKER_08

Like she might be good, or like, see, there you you do have it, honey.

SPEAKER_06

You did it, you did it.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I was very passive.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, because uh her mom is intimidating. Yes, she even intimidates Garcia, who doesn't seem to be very easily intimidated.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, she's a big deal. They had her on the phone, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, that was a good one.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that was that was a good one. I like that little that poor girl was writhing in pain, though. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_08

I know. Can you imagine? I was thinking, if they hadn't found the Black Widow spider, yeah, they wouldn't have known.

SPEAKER_04

They wouldn't have known.

SPEAKER_08

Right? She would have it's lucky that the spider was there, right? Like you could imagine she could get bit, and then the spider is I mean, it's she's just lucky that it's caught in her shoe.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And then I mean she did see the bite first. She saw the bite first, but would the bite be enough? Would the bite bite be enough to warrant the treatment, the special treatment? Oh, oh, I see. You know what I mean? Like I feel like she would have been in although maybe I don't know, maybe they would have figured it out somewhere down the line, but um anyway, it was that was a good story. I really enjoyed it.

SPEAKER_06

That was a good good one. Um and then another one, and it's like, man, we were all feeling this one when McKay, this is right after I am bawling. I've gone through a whole box of tissues. We're all devastated because the little girl died. Yeah, and then McKay is walking through and she sees Myrna in a wheelchair, and she's like, Not today, right? Myrna, are you okay? She thought she was dead. We all thought she was dead, yeah. Then she pops up and is like yelling, and I'm like, Right. We're all McKay. We were all McKay in that moment.

SPEAKER_08

We were, we were. It was like a little flashback to Whitaker's uh Whitaker's patient who was having the heart attack in the hallway, right?

SPEAKER_06

Right, right. Um but we also didn't talk about that, but I guess maybe that goes into does it also carry her um her probably trafficked I know kept one patient. That happened that started in eight, right?

SPEAKER_08

Yep, and it finished well, she leaves. They take off in nine. They take off in nine. So this is interesting.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Well, now I'm now on the side of so there was the it's pretty clear, I think, that something shady is happening.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And then the the way like the reactions from the the reactions from the boss the boss is she's she's shifty. Oh yeah. But then I kept looking for signs from the Piper, the girl. Does she know what's going on? And the first time I watched it, I was like, I can't tell if she knows what's happening, right? But then I went back. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

You mean what's happening to her in her life, or what's happening, like, why is McKay asking her all these questions?

SPEAKER_08

No, like, is she aware that she's being manipulated and trafficked? You're right, because she answers things so oh, oh, right, because the way she's presenting is like, oh, like I'm accepted, everything's fine, and she's giving me a place to stay. And I no, I don't want to leave her. I want her to be with me. Right. There's like never a sign where she's like, like even though she's never like, yeah, help me, help me. So I'm wondering, does she know she needs help?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, the only time that I thought I saw that expressed is when she was like, when they do move room, they do bring her, and she was like, Oh, she's not gonna like that, she's not gonna like that. Right, that was terrifying, right? If you're saying you're coming into the emergency room with your boss, I know with a better fucking story.

SPEAKER_08

I know, weird, yeah, so weird, yeah, and then she takes the pen.

SPEAKER_06

We do see her. She was like, Absolutely not, I'm not doing any of that. And then yeah, we do think that she took the pen at the in the end, yeah. So that is something so smart, so smart, yeah, on the inside, yeah, brilliant, yeah, brilliant, yeah. Yeah, that was well done. It was again really well done. And we've I have seen that kind of exact like that kind of thing played. I'm sure hospitals see it all the time, yeah, on um Grey's Anatomy and like all kinds of shows, right? So so that I it was just really well done. Yeah, and like you can you can tell that McKay just really wants to help. I know. Oh, she was so frustrated.

SPEAKER_08

So related to that, I I think this is related, and I think you'll see where I'm going with this, but there wasn't there something about with the storyline with the incel kid and the mom. Was there something about the police got called? Am I making that up? No, you're not making that up.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, you're right. So she came back, yeah. And I was like, oh my god, we're getting back into this story.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

unknown

Dr.

SPEAKER_06

Rby just asked, like, how her appointment went, basically.

SPEAKER_08

Well, because they set her up for uh to talk to a psychiatrist, right?

SPEAKER_06

But like, not like she wasn't coming back as a patient, I don't think.

SPEAKER_08

No, she was just stopping in, right?

SPEAKER_06

And then we see the co-ops talking to her, but we never see it again, right? I don't honestly can't, until you just said it, I forgot all about it.

SPEAKER_08

I I did too, but this is what made me think of it. Yeah, because I at some point Robbie says, Oh, wait, who called the police? Was it somebody in the hospital? And I wonder if it's McKay. Only because she was she got she was she kept pushing Robbie to do something about the about the situation. Right. Uh but now that I'm saying it, now that I'm saying it out loud, I'm like, McKay wouldn't call the police, would she? I don't think she would. No.

SPEAKER_06

I don't think she would.

SPEAKER_08

No. Um considering her own issues.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly. Exactly. And um and I mean, I just think that's just a line she wouldn't cross.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, she's not yeah. Interesting. I you're so right though, I totally forgot about that. That we all see the cops talking to the woman. But it at this point it It could be because her kid is missing. You know what I mean? Like right.

SPEAKER_10

Did not go to school. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_10

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

So. Oh. All right. Who did call the police?

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, yeah, we never see it again. Prediction. It's gonna be in the recap of our next episode, see episode 10. Right. And it'll come back up.

SPEAKER_07

May even be a scene we haven't seen before.

SPEAKER_06

It was in the recap.

SPEAKER_07

It was.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Oh my god. Unless I just didn't write it in. Interesting. I don't think even I have it in my notes.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I don't either.

SPEAKER_06

I would just like to say that for episode nine, the warning. Warning. Smoking.

SPEAKER_08

Smoking.

SPEAKER_06

Do you think you could warn us about more? I know. I know.

SPEAKER_08

We get we get warnings about flashing lights. And we get warnings about smoking, but not about horrific violence to women.

SPEAKER_06

See or seeing the inside of someone's hand.

SPEAKER_08

Or that was pretty gnarly.

SPEAKER_06

What not?

SPEAKER_08

I think you know in the show what you're getting into, right? Right. As far as that goes.

SPEAKER_06

Warning, you know.

SPEAKER_08

You know. Um what did you think? So we have that patient whose hand is crushed, uh, whose finger is crushed underneath the AC unit. Yeah. And then like the second, second flirtation of the day for Dr. Collins.

SPEAKER_06

Right? Yeah. He was he was also like um so calm.

SPEAKER_08

Way too calm. Like, how are you even thinking about asking somebody out while your finger is getting sawed down?

SPEAKER_06

Right. And he's like, uh, you alright? She's like, absolutely not. But like, why are you know me?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, she's like, Are you she should have said, like, are you alright? Right, right. How are you alright?

SPEAKER_06

And uh, like it's interesting how they gave him such a backstory. He's like, I just do this for money, and I'm really trying to become a psychiatrist.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, psychologist.

SPEAKER_06

I wonder if we'll see him again. I wonder the same. Interesting. Um, but it is also funny that he's doing HVAC for money. He doesn't seem phased that like he might lose his hand.

SPEAKER_08

I know.

SPEAKER_06

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, he seems not phased at all.

SPEAKER_06

No, no, no phasing.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, who else was in that room? Because I thought it was like a like they were all like chat chat chat, like uh McKay.

SPEAKER_08

McKay McKay definitely gave a look like something's going on here.

SPEAKER_06

That's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And then was it Santos? Because Santos was excited to do the thing.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, yes, yeah. They called it a um something. I forget what they call that whole procedure. Oh, it might be a thing. She got really excited.

SPEAKER_08

I I think I would be screaming if that happened to me.

SPEAKER_06

I know, I know, I know, and that was before they gave him the drugs, and they gave him the drugs, and he was really like, la la la.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Um, she's like, You might have to take a couple days off from work, and he's like, Okay. He lost a finger.

SPEAKER_06

I know that's crazy. Yeah. Um, oh yeah, a lot of this we already talked about, but um here's something that I think we did talk about. Oh, it made me think of two things, but we did, I think we talked about this where I felt like Pitfest was gonna be like a problem. Remember, Dr. Robbie's son, I guess, is going to Pitfest. Yeah, Pitfest, Pitfest. So we see in this episode someone coming in from Pitfest. I was like, Oh, I forgot about Pitfest. Yeah, for sure. There's gonna be some problems, right? Yeah, but also it's got me thinking, we don't know what day it is here, right? But it must be like a weekend if you're gonna do a fest.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, that's weird, right? But it's not because it's a the incel kid is not going to school. Good point. Is it a Friday?

SPEAKER_06

Is it a Friday?

SPEAKER_08

Maybe it's a Friday.

SPEAKER_06

I'm gonna go with that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Unless, like, are there big, big fests that last more days?

SPEAKER_08

Like into a weekday? I guess we're gonna do that. Well, what if it's like a summer? What if it's summer?

SPEAKER_06

What if it's summer? And then he still goes to the room.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, right.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, yeah. We're gonna settle on Friday. I bet there are fests on Fridays.

SPEAKER_08

I think it's probably Friday. Maybe it's like a yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, it is weird. It would you would think it'd be like a Saturday, right? Like all day.

SPEAKER_06

I think it would be Saturday.

SPEAKER_08

Starts at you park at 11 a.m.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, it goes all day, all night.

SPEAKER_08

All day, yep.

SPEAKER_06

Um the it's for all I know, Coachella is two weeks, and I'm sounding like an asshole. You know what I mean? Like, oh my god, you guys are so old. Um, but yeah, so that was that was interesting, and that is the patient that ultimately Langdon loses his shit on Santos, right? Right. She takes the blame for something for she credits Mohan for doing what she did.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, she credits Mohan, which I'm still not sure why. Like, what's her explanation?

SPEAKER_06

Because she thinks she's gonna get yelled at either way.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, right, okay.

SPEAKER_06

I think is ultimately what she was saying. Like, I'm I did yeah, I didn't go get him, so I'm gonna get yelled at either way. It's just better you don't want him yelling at you for doing something without getting him, kind of thing.

SPEAKER_07

Right, right.

SPEAKER_06

Is what I got from that. Um, it was true.

SPEAKER_07

It was true, true, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, yeah, Mohan was not happy with the way Langdon was talking to um Santos. No, and said Santos is a really good doctor, right? She says, I think you're really good.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that's crazy. Um I forget, did they save that girl? They saved that girl, right? Because of what Santos did.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yep. Yeah, yep, they did. Yeah, Santos was right. Uh cute moment, cute moment with Mohan uh filming video of the influencer with the scarf. And Dr. Robbie sees it and he's like, What is going on?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And Dana's like, well, you wanted better patient satisfaction scores.

SPEAKER_06

Right. And he did not go over and like yell at her, so I think that's a win.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

For her, because she was right.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, this is funny. Okay, wait. Mateo and I. Chef party is so awkward. And she's saying, I wrote down, I knew that asshole was going to say something. This is when the fight is happening. This is when the fight's happening with those women.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_06

That asshole guy is still there, mouthing off.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_06

Um, I was like, I just wrote that down. I was like, I knew that guy was gonna be there so he could get his two cents in, right?

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Not I didn't know that was gonna happen.

SPEAKER_10

No.

SPEAKER_06

Um, and uh, like I think I didn't write anything about these women. Yeah, the only thing I wrote down about that whole thing until today, because then I wrote something else down, but was I was like, Langdon was working on the woman who punched the other woman, yeah, and he was like, So when you have to go into surgery, should they be wearing masks or not? I was like, hee hee hee, I like that. Yeah, um, but also I'm like, where are the cops on that? Like, was assaulted, right? But she's like, You hit me, yeah, and that woman couldn't stop. I don't know, it was a lot for still she punched her so hard she not, I mean, she cut a truth in her hand.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, that's that's assault.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, I'd be like, get those cops here, yeah, yeah, or pull them away from that woman in there, right? Oh, how are the cops just not always there?

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um what was I gonna say about that? And then that was it. Like that was just well, that was it for those two women we didn't see.

SPEAKER_08

For now, right? Yeah, right. I mean, uh that may be it.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, so that was like really we mentioned it before about Whitaker being in with the guy who wanted to apologize, and I get it, like he would definitely wanted to do that, and um um, you know, started talking about how he can't always be on his meds, and and then who's who was with him? Who was with him in that room?

SPEAKER_08

Nurse who was it? It was a nurse, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

He said that we have a street team.

SPEAKER_08

Street team. Oh wait, it was it was social worker, right?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, did she go in there with him?

SPEAKER_08

Or did he go, or did she tell him to go talk to the social worker about the street team?

SPEAKER_06

Oh no, I don't remember.

SPEAKER_08

She was either in there or he went to her after.

SPEAKER_06

I think it was a different nurse in there with him, but whatever. That's how we find out about the street team. And Wonder Girl was like, I'd like to do that. So cool. I know, I loved it. Very cool. He didn't have to do that, he did not have to say that.

SPEAKER_08

And he's like, I'll bring the medication to you.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_08

That was the Kraken, right? Is he the Kraken?

SPEAKER_06

Yes, he's the Kraken, and then of course, just like everything else, he's a human person with struggles and real real issues.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, oh earlier in the app, before that all happens, I'm just looking at my notes. That's where Collins tells Dana about losing, miscarrying, and she was like, It's because I bought that stroller.

SPEAKER_07

I know.

SPEAKER_06

And Dana says, Fuck that fucking stroller. She's the best.

SPEAKER_07

She is the best.

SPEAKER_06

Um I'm looking at my notes. Oh, yeah. So this case where the guy got hit by the car is really interesting. Lots of levels on this case, right? Like, yeah, first of all, I I had a feeling like she wasn't just like sleepy or out of it. Like I had a feeling something was wrong with her, but I was leaning more towards like um, I don't know what I was thinking. Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking, but um the fact that she had just been there to see McKay.

SPEAKER_10

I know, yeah, like that.

SPEAKER_06

No, I always had all mistakes, but yeah, and then I don't I didn't like the Collins was like pretty direct with her saying, check your bias, basically. Yeah, uh McKay who's so on top of everything and like eagle eye, and like I'm taking care of every patient and I'm reading into things and blah blah blah. I know the way she took that feedback, honestly, refreshing in a TV show, honestly. Yeah, I don't think so, but maybe, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I felt the exact same way. It was so refreshing.

SPEAKER_06

It was a really earnest, like mentorship moment, it felt like with Collins being like, just you know, check it.

SPEAKER_08

Right, and Collins wasn't being mean, no, being direct, and and you know, she her she's uh experien, you know, she's using her experience, she's an experienced doctor, yes, and yeah, because but I also saw McKay's point.

SPEAKER_06

I get it, I get it, honestly. I get it, because I mean the way the medical system treats people who are overweight is ridiculous, right? Everything is their fault, yeah. And um, but like McKay was like, she didn't have a fever, you know what I mean? Yeah, so I get that, but I also very much see Collins being like, but if it was anybody else, you would have with who came in with those complaints, you would have done this. Yeah, kind of shouldn't say that directly, but she was like, We should have done it, you know what I mean? Yeah, um, yeah, I appreciate it so much. Really interesting. Yeah, it was great. Um, oh, this is what oh, did we say this already? I don't think I said this already. When Langdon is yelling at Santos, um, you know, and he's going off the rails and he's like, You're a beginner, blah, blah, blah. What he what what Robbie says to Langdon is harassment has zero value, and this behavior will not be tolerated. At least that's one thing he said. Yeah, those were his his words.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, and you could tell Langdon was like, Oh my god.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Like, why her? You know what I mean? It's not like that with everybody else, even with the Ortho that he hates.

SPEAKER_08

Well playful. But they you she's Garcia said it herself, right? She's like, We don't hate each other. Like, she basically is like, it's a planter.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Uh you're right.

SPEAKER_08

Uh yeah, I think he's just I think Santos just rubbed him the wrong way. And he just blew up.

SPEAKER_06

She was doing her own thing. I mean, she, yeah, more than once. Insubordinate, but you know, kind of.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um pre-guy off mats. Oh, oh, oh, his name is they call him the Kraken, I think, because his name is Krakowsia.

SPEAKER_07

Yes.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, got it.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Wow. I just think that the the interactions with Langdon and Mel, Dr. Mel are just so awesome, particularly when they're sitting in that room and she's just holding the dog.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Before that, she was just listening to Waves crashing.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_06

Like it's a rough day for Dr. Mel.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And then he says to her, This is a tough place for sensitive people, but we need it.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Perfect words for Dr. Mel.

SPEAKER_10

I know. I know.

SPEAKER_06

You know? He could be that way for everybody.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, Mateo doesn't date in the workplace.

SPEAKER_08

It does not.

SPEAKER_06

We're not gonna see him smooching anybody.

SPEAKER_08

No, no. She uh go javadi. She tried to try to work it, but like it was so awkward.

SPEAKER_06

It was the worst. And how did she get the balls to do anything?

SPEAKER_08

No, no, and as she's building up to it, I'm like, no, no, I know, no, don't do it. She was like, like watching a rom-com. I know. His reactions are the best.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. And she is never not awkward. She is just like, she's never relaxed. She's just like I was saying, like, she's always looked worried and a little bit disgusted about everything that's happening. And even when she's hitting on him, she's like, like worried. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah. Although the only time she was when she found the Black Widow spider, and she and they she's like, she orders the whatever she orders, she's like her, her like her eyes lit up. She's excited then. Yeah. She's like, Oh, I got something.

SPEAKER_06

She was excited when she did that Captain Morgan leg thing too. She was like, Look at me doing this.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um, and let's see what else I have in my notes. Oh, the cops with the grandma didn't happen until the end. That's why we don't remember it too much. Yeah. And it didn't come up again because it wasn't until the very end of episode nine.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. Honestly, that could have happened in any at any point. That's how my memory works. It could have happened anytime if I didn't have it written down this way.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Um, but like the very, very end is Dana, right?

SPEAKER_06

I just wrote gasp. Gasp, I know.

SPEAKER_08

Awful.

SPEAKER_06

Totally unexpected. I mean, and then once you see, you're like, oh fuck, that is expected. Yeah from that that guy.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And I can't believe he hit her, though. Why her?

SPEAKER_08

Well, because she yelled at him.

SPEAKER_04

Well, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And then I think she happened to be the one that was standing there when he walked out, right?

SPEAKER_04

Like, I guess so.

SPEAKER_08

And he saw her sm he's like, Oh, but you got a time to he you have time to take a smoke break. So that that whole thing just set him off. He was already like ready to blow.

SPEAKER_06

And right.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I did like that Dana interaction with the women in the in the waiting room. And afterwards, when she was like bragging about how she did it, she was like, it was like my old self or whatever. And like I was, I was loud and full of shame or something. I can't remember what she said.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. I know. Yeah. I know. Because the thing is, is that she could be out there being like, hey, listen up. Girl just died back there. Like she could be like a six-year-old just died. Just everybody calm down. Yeah. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

But she didn't.

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_06

I'm not sure it would have helped with the asshole guy, but maybe it would give him some perspective.

SPEAKER_08

I don't think it would have, but no, I guess not. I mean, talk about assault. They better go arrest him. And they've got his name and his they've got his info.

SPEAKER_06

They sure do. They have his short test results.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Or maybe they don't, but they will.

SPEAKER_10

All right.

SPEAKER_06

They brought him back for something.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

When he was such a jerk to Mateo.

SPEAKER_07

I know. Eric Estrada.

SPEAKER_06

Who is that? Oh, that's funny. Yeah, I love the show. I can't wait until we watch the next two episodes.

SPEAKER_08

Me too. Me too.

SPEAKER_06

Maybe somebody will kiss.

SPEAKER_08

Maybe someone will kiss.

SPEAKER_06

Maybe somebody will be doing drugs.

SPEAKER_08

Okay. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

SPEAKER_08

Are they can't are they characters we've seen interacting on the show?

SPEAKER_06

SPEAKER_09

Right.

SPEAKER_06

Maybe, and maybe none of this stuff is gonna happen with Langdon either. Like, I don't know. That's the thing about spoilers. Like, yeah, think you know, because we've only watched what we've watched, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Especially that kind of a spoiler, where it's so it's it's so vague. Like you could read so much into that question, right?

SPEAKER_06

But specifically because it's only because I typed his name in. It wasn't because, like, I was like, is LinkedIn doing drugs? And then the question was, will he get caught? It wasn't like that, it was so open.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, yeah. Oh, interesting. I can't wait to see what happens.

SPEAKER_06

I know. Let's watch the next two right now. Let's do it. Okay, so fun. All right, good times. I think we did it.
