SPEAKER_00

The Speaker of the Podcast. Sharing Jesus in everyday life.

SPEAKER_04

There is fake news, there's media bias, there are conspiracy theories. What's going on and how can we tell? That's today on the livecast.

SPEAKER_02

Well, hello everyone. Welcome to the live cast. It is Monday, the 11th of November, and we hope that you're having a good day. I'm sure as it's Remembrance Day today, you'll have been uh taking part in the commemorations over the last few days. We're going to be talking about that in a few moments. Uh before we do that though, let me introduce myself. I'm Paul Feasy and Lynn Scrivener, yes. There we go.

SPEAKER_04

And I was doing a Remembrance Day thing just yesterday. Yes, tell us what you've been up to. Up in uh the east end of London. Well, I was at uh Broadmead uh Baptist Church. Right. Uh and there are a whole bunch of other churches uh involved in a Remembrance Day kind of evangelistic event where I spoke about what causes war and what ceases war. And uh there were loads of evangelist uh loads of uh guests from outside, and there was a big Q ⁇ A session afterwards, and uh yeah, a lot of people personally requesting books afterwards to to look into things further. So, yeah, a very a very successful event.

SPEAKER_02

Great. And we've got the uh we've been resharing our video for that, haven't we? To end all wars. I don't know whether some people have seen that over the last few days. Um but worth checking out. You can find it on probably find it on YouTube. Yes. You can definitely find it on Facebook as well. On the internet. On the internet, on the interwebs, it's out there, yeah. Uh so you've been in you've been in London yesterday. You've been in London on Friday as well, though. That's true.

SPEAKER_04

I was at the Brefos conference uh on Friday. So uh Brefos is uh an organization that's part of CBR UK, uh, which is a pro-life charity, and Brefos is very much trying to see Centre for Biological Reform, yeah. Come on. Centre for Biological Reform. Um so yeah, talking about life in the womb and protecting the unborn, and Brefos is is really particularly trying to aim at churches and saying, come on, churches, let's um let's be bold, let's be proud, let's be out there. We are a thousand percent pro-life, aren't we? And I think in theory, evangelicals are a thousand percent pro-life. I think in practice we're a bit shy, quiet. Yeah, sure. So it needs some encouragement. So that was that was worth doing. And um So you were speaking? Yes, and but there were other speakers as well. There were other speakers, and uh and I was particularly speaking about in evangelism, like isn't it won't it lose you your audience to talk about pro-life issues? Um, and if we're just gospel people, then why do we want to get involved in a political issue?

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_04

Um, but I c one of my points was well, the gospel is is a lot bigger than just um a little spiritual truth to hold on to between now and when you go to heaven. Uh the gospel is something you proclaim to the principalities and powers in all their dimensions, in all their political and all their spiritual dimensions. And and therefore to be uh well, to believe in Christmas and Easter is to believe that God the Son took flesh at conception, and to believe it in Easter is to believe that we value the things that are not, and the despised things and the weak things because God became those things. And that actually our gospel totally embraces and speaks into the issue of the unborn, when does life begin? What do we do for the the lower lowliest and weakest members of the human society? So let's be loud and proud and bold about our pro-life stance alongside the the gospel that we preach.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, absolutely. And it's one of those things, isn't it, that um it's just kind of there beneath the surface of society. Right. It's easy to look I mean, we w I went to the conference last year and um very struck by it. And um, you know, I think my my position before had been, well, I'm I'm against abortion, but you know, you shouldn't make too much noise about it because obviously it's divisive and whatnot. But I think uh Dave Dave Brennan, who was heads up breathless, he spoke on The Good Samaritan um when he was talking when he was doing kind of an example preach on how you might speak on it. And uh I think there was this one moment where he kind of really hit home, you know, actually as a church, we can be just like the the people passing by, like, oh, we probably shouldn't get involved in that because you know, here's different reasons. And I was like, Oh man, you know, and it something just shh in the gut and really hits you.

SPEAKER_04

He did the same thing on on Friday, this time from Esther, and he sort of said, you know, there is Esther in the palace, and there is a genocide that's about to happen, but she doesn't know about it, right? And so Mordecai has to let her know about it. And to begin with, she's not on board, and it takes her a while before she finally says, Okay, I'm gonna stand up for my people, and if I perish, I perish. That was again very powerful.

SPEAKER_02

I think as well, like part of it is we like when you say, Oh, there's a there's some kind of genocide going on, like it feels like quite dramatic to say that, doesn't it? And like a bit later on we're gonna be thinking about some stuff going on in China, and some people have been describing that as kind of a modern genocide, right? Um, but you kind of think of genocide as something that happens you know somewhere else and not in your day, you know, like so to suggest this could be happening under our noses, yeah, you know, it feels like a big thing to say. Right. But of course, you know, they these kind of things do creep in, you know, all the all the you know, the the um if you look back at the Holocaust, that's something that crept in over time, yeah, you know, just bit by bit by bit, and people not saying anything and yeah, letting things slide, or it's okay because it's not me or whatnot.

SPEAKER_04

And we found ourselves in a position where eight hundred children are killed every working day just in the UK. Yeah, you know, two hundred two hundred and five thousand children born uh killed in the womb every year just to make our society work. And then in the States it's a million every year, you know. So it's you know, it is something that's going on right now, and yet you won't open up your newspaper and read. 800 children, like if one child gets stabbed in London, it's you're gonna hear about it, yeah. Rightly so. Okay, so times that by 800 every single day, we've got a problem, don't we? And yet it's not in the news. And that's that's part part of what we're kind of talking about today.

SPEAKER_02

The thing that strikes me, or struck me again uh or from last year, and you know, I think it came up this year from what people were saying, is that um just again the the similarity between the language used, right, you know, the the dehumanizing of of uh babies in the womb, even you know, for babies being described as parasites on the mother, right? And like literally the same language used of um of Jews um during the war. Yes. And you just think like, my goodness, like how can you not see the the parallels in your parallels with slavery as well and stuff, but um Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And yet, yeah, so it's not in the news, it's not covered, and so we think the biggest news going on is Brexit or impeachment or whatever, you know. And yet what is covered in the news is not really what's going on in the world. Not only are there issues about abortion, there's there's also the the good news stories of the the gospel is going forward in the world, and Jesus is discipling the nations, and the enemies of Christ are being put under under his feet by the Father as the church expands to fill the ends of the earth. Like that's that's the big stuff that's going on in the world. Yeah, but that's not on BBC Breakfast.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, and it's interesting to and we're gonna look at a few examples of things that are kind of not in the news or partly are but not in full. And it would be interesting to think why do some things get in and why do other things not?

SPEAKER_03

Same.

SPEAKER_04

And a funny example of something great getting into the news uh happened just the other day with Henry Billing. Harry. Harry, sorry. Harry Billing. Tell us about Hen Harry Harry Billing.

SPEAKER_02

Still can't get it. Harry Billing, so he's a 94-year-old war veteran, and uh he'd been kind of at the D-Day landings, and he appeared on um well the the clip that's kind of doing the rounds is from BBC Breakfast. He'd been on it before, I think. I think it was BBC Breakfast he'd been on before, um, and kind of interviewed because he'd raised money for a memorial um that was uh being built there. Uh but then he was spoken to uh just in the last few days uh by I think it's Dan Walker and Naga Manchetti, um who have uh they've been in the news recently as well, haven't they? Yes, but uh yes, and he was interviewed and uh he said some pretty interesting things. It was wonderful. Some great things. We have a look. Yeah, yeah, I think we've got a clip.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's a very good thing for the memorial. Well, it is because you the you've you've campaigned tirelessly and you continue to do so to make sure that it is not forgotten.

SPEAKER_02

And that the menu uh well, apologies for that. I mean, I'm sure everything you were saying was great, but we realised that's actually not the right clip. Um that is the interview that uh the clip is from, but um uh unfortunately that was the whole interview, and uh we wanted a clip from it. Let me tell you a bit about what he said. Um so he was asked what he would say to younger people uh today, and he said there's a lot of youngsters come up to me and give me money for the memorial, but beyond all comprehension beyond uh about D-Day, I hope that they will learn to love one another. There's a lot of hate in the world, a lot of greed and a lot of nonsense. Don't worry about that, he said. Um and then he went on to say, We've got so much to thank God for. I said, They ain't got no time for God. I don't think we shall ever come round. Turn back, oh man, forswear thy foolish ways. We've been stupid, we're so clever, you know, we can blow one another up, but you don't love one another. That's the strongest thing on earth. Love is stronger than death, and he's coming back. Our Lord Jesus said he'll be back, and he will. Amazing. Yeah. And all of which, during that point, Nagaminchetti's desperately trying to end the interview. We don't want that stuff. Yeah, no, no, no. So we we really I mean the thing that struck me, I mean, interesting that you know this kind of got picked up. Um, you know, we're talking about what isn't in the news. So this did get picked up, the bit about the first bit he said, There's a lot of hate in the world, you know. I hope people learn to love one another. But actually, it there's very little being picked up in the mainstream media about him talking about Jesus coming back, you know, and that's obviously where his values come from. Um, it's fascinating to me that you know, here's this you know, we're looking at this guy sitting there and we're saying, Let's remember this generation and all they've done for us. Oh, but don't start talking about your values, that generation, please, because we don't want any of that. Like, oh no, quick cut, go to the next thing.

SPEAKER_04

Like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And all that all that he says in that bit that you just quoted is is like the truth, and it's the most important thing that you could possibly speak about. There's a lot of hate in the world, a lot of greed, a lot of nonsense. Don't worry about that. We've got lots to thank God for. Um, yeah, Jesus is coming back. Like, you couldn't think of anything more current. Stronger than death. Love is stronger than death. That's huge. Song of songs, chapter eight. There we go. Huge. It's it's absolutely huge, but like we're just used to on BBC Breakfast saying, Oh, and there's a new caramel latte from Starbucks. We sent Bill out to the shops to try it out. Um, and now here's Sandy with the weather. Uh we're we're used to that kind of nonsense. We're we're not used to actually talking about what's real. Um we're we're actually just used to talking about this news cycle. Um so that's that's just uh a a funnier example of the news and what happens when people actually talk about what's serious in the news. Um a far more grave example of uh not hearing about what's going on in the news uh is the Muslim persecution in China, um where by all accounts there there seems to be a million Muslims in internment camps.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, with like I'd never heard anything about it until literally a few days ago. I think I saw a tweet somewhere, I'm not even sure whose tweet it was, but just said, like, why is why is this not in the news? If there are these people and like reading about it kind of online, you know, kind of a million people uh or up to a million people, maybe more, in these camps or re-education centres, as they're being called. Um and from those who've been there and have come out the other side saying, Well, it's basically you're just indoctrinated with propaganda and there's torture and abuse, sexual abuse, and people have even died in there. Yeah. Um and it looks like the Chinese government initially just denied any of these things existed, and then they were like, Oh, actually, there were some re-education centres, you know.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, a few classes for that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and you just think like, man, this is yeah, like this is dark. Like that's what someone, you know, someone has said like this is a genocide going on there.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Um 15,000 mosques and religious sites destroyed, cemeteries bulldozed, imams in prison, Muslims forced to eat during Ramadan and drink alcohol. So, yeah, this is going on right now. And yet, you know, interestingly, there were some NBA stars, basketball, you know, stars in in America, who wanted to stand up for the Hong Kong protesters. Yep. And all of a sudden their Chinese sponsors got really antsy and and the NBA kind of backed off massively and sort of said, Oh, we we praise our Chinese overlords, you know, because where's the where's the money coming from?

SPEAKER_02

Well, and that's someone had said that in in one of the comments on a tweet uh or somewhere like that, that if this was another country, if this was a country that didn't have nuclear weaponry and basically lots of money that backed up our economies, um we'd have been all over it. Yeah. And it just and that's what I f I think is is interesting. I mean, obvious obviously what's going on is a terrible thing, but the interesting thing is we people like to think that we've got all these great morals as human beings. Um but you see how they immediately go straight out the window like when there's fine money involved, you know. Yeah. Like it's all very well you know, you know, selling arms to various different nations or whatever, like yeah. Well it's money, isn't it? So yeah. I mean and the s I mean it's uh apparently 23 nations had written a letter, I think, to the UN to can uh condemn what was going on. And something like 54 nations had written letters in support, which I th and I thought was bananas, just like one of them was Saudi Arabia, another another was North Korea. Yeah, yeah. But it just it seemed crazy to me that I mean but it seems crazy that the strongest thing anyone would do anyway to can to condemn this would be like, let's just write a letter. Write a strongly worded letter. Yeah. Um I mean we've totally uh we've gone to wars for less, you know.

SPEAKER_04

Like oh yeah. So yeah. And this stuff is also going on right now. Um and yet, you know, what are what are our newspapers full of? Um so that's that's really the we need bendy bananas. Brussels, they yeah, they straightened our bananas. Um this is what this episode's about, really. Like, what is really going on in the world and who's in charge of what we hear? Um, because what about fake news? What about media bias? What about conspiracy theories? Um, because another big story that's that's gone on this last week uh has been um caught on a hot mic, it seems to be the lingo. Um there was a hot microphone, and an NBC reporter was talking about how she had the story of uh a woman who was forced by Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with Prince Andrew, and they had the story, and they were gonna run with the story, and the palace kind of squashed the story, and NBC said, No, we we gotta we can't touch it with a ten-foot pole, and that story was was dropped. And um, you know, there are loads of instances now of people being interviewed live, like in the States, and they might be being interviewed about a NASCAR race or something, and and then at the end of it they'll they'll just say Jeffrey Epstein did not commit suicide. Yep. Um, and it seems to be one of one of the more plausible conspiracy theories that Jeffrey Epstein was in fact murdered in that prison cell.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And it contributes to this sense of we don't know what's going on, we don't know who's in charge and who's letting us see what we see. Um and so earlier uh Paul and I played uh some conspiracy theory top trumps just to introduce this theme to you.

SPEAKER_03

Jeffrey Epstein did not commit suicide. I see you at Jeffrey Epstein and I raised you that there was a second element on the ground spinal. I speak you on the ground spinal, and I raised you an element who is still alive and living upstairs and raised the whole company died in the 60s and they replaced it with a double Jeff Fuel cannot still be still and we have elemental conspiracy.

SPEAKER_02

I mean we need to be able to elementary.

SPEAKER_00

In the world of conspiracies, what's going on? Join us 2 p.m.

SPEAKER_04

So uh Nick Hass has just got in touch to say it was ABC, not NBC, uh the network on which uh this report fake news. Fake news lends fake news, yeah. Um but whichever whichever uh whichever network it was, uh there does seem to be a concerted effort to shape what we hear and shape the news that we hear. Um and where where do we where do we put the Geoffrey Epstein kind of conspiracy theory, if it is, um, in the in the rankings of thing?

SPEAKER_02

Is it is it is it like a and it's hard to know, isn't it? Because I mean we're looking at the you know, you look at the clip from the BBC of Harry Billing, and you as a Christian, you look and go, Why is no one talking about what he said about Jesus? And you're like, oh clearly anti-Christian bias. And then you watch any clip from the BBC and you look underneath the comments and you'll see someone saying, Oh, this terrible right wing bias, and there'll be other people going, look at this left-wing agenda in the BBC, and you're like, basically, you know, you see whatever, you know, whatever whatever bias you think there is, you you exacerbate it and exaggerate it more and more. Yes. Um so it's hard to know, isn't it? Like what's a genuine bias where people are deliberately not telling you things or spinning it a different way.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah. And in one sense, I guess you just want to know what the people's biases are, because we're not gonna have a bias-free situation.

SPEAKER_02

No, absolutely not.

SPEAKER_04

So it's just being it's just worth in the UK Daily Mail is going to lean right and Guardians are gonna lean left, and Daily Express is gonna be massive for Brexit, and you know, Guardians are gonna be mainly for remain, and being aware of where people's biases are is is one way of countering it. Um but but I did think of some other uh things we we ought to do as we acknowledge that yes, the media has a bias, and the stuff that we are reading and watching has a bias. Um four points I I came up with. Um firstly, um let's not assume that the other side are evil. Um like if if there is some kind of issue that's out there that's very complex, things like climate change or Brexit or China or Kurdistan, which we spoke of a few weeks ago. Um, you know, I've probably just learnt about some of those issues, like literally in the last few days. Um let's not get onto social media and make a pronouncement as though as though I know what I'm talking about and as though the other side are evil. And you know, that's that's very easy to do to demonize uh the other side. But at the same time, let's not assume that I am altruistic. Um because um I probably think what I think um for some very nefarious purposes, and uh I'm as motivated by selfishness and uh and all the wrong motives as as anybody else, and I'm as liable to uh to be self-justifying and to buy into virtual virtue signaling as as anybody else is. So let's not assume that, and let's not assume that we know the full situation. Um definitely uh as you know, all that we're talking about here is is uh how we know so little about the world that we live in. And what's being reported to us is just such a tiny fraction and delivered from a particular angle and a particular bias.

SPEAKER_02

And we even even if you you know people say, Well, that's why you've got to go and do your own research, right? That's difficult as well, because you're never gonna find a bias-free you know source of information. But also we tend to when we you know, like when you when you see a post online or you do even when you're doing your research, if you see something you agree with that backs up what you already believe, you go, Oh great, and you don't really dig that deep into it. Yeah, whereas you're far less likely to be swayed by things that disagree with you. Yeah, um, so even you know, none of us are really that open to having our minds changed about stuff.

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_02

And we're always kind of putting up these walls or just going with the kind of oh that backs up what I already believe.

SPEAKER_04

Jonathan Heights says, you know, if you want something to be true, you ask, um, can I believe this? And you set the bar really low. Um if you if you don't want something to be true, you say, must I believe this, and you set the bar really high. And you know, that's that's the way we tick. That's confirmation bias. Um and then as we make all these pronouncements about what's wrong with the world or what we should do, uh, let's make sure that the cure is not worse than the disease.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And so I mean that makes you think, um, so we were talking about virtue signaling, you know, the whole you get the climate change thing and um the thing I think is fascinating is you you see this divide between people and people seem to not understand there's a kind of perhaps a a middle way. Um so I mean I I'm I'm happy to say yeah there's definitely climate change going on and issues and we want to work to do that. I mean I I do get a bit sick of people posting about their bamboo toothbrushes and whatnot. I'm just like you you're really not changing the world by that. Anyway. That might be the virtue signaling it might be. Just put that might be the virtue sign but you know I remember someone once saying like oh we should get everybody to get rid of plastic bottles and everything should be replaced with glass it's recyclable and someone came back and said yeah but you know if everything's replaced with glass then transporting that around is actually you know it that's heavier there's going to be higher emissions from vehicles for transporting that around so you have to work out where there's an offset and this person came back and was like I'm trying to save the world you know stop being a terrible human being and you're like well you're not trying to save the world if if your solution to save the world actually makes it worse than the problem you've already got.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You know but you've got to do something Paul just do something get your toothbrush in your bag for life and be happy like just be right be righteous. Yeah. I think it's Steve Hughes the comedian who says like you know you're sitting there with your special light bulb in a bag for life and it's like the government's walking around dropping depleted uranium everywhere and it's like you're not going to do anything like that.

SPEAKER_04

And with that people have just turned off yeah maybe maybe no you're you're the voice of reason in the in a sanity a voice of sanity sanity so the four things let's not assume the other side are evil let's not assume that we are altruistic let's not assume that we know the full situation and let's make sure that the cure is not worse than than the disease Robert Chamberlain says the other side are evil but so are we the other side are evil but so are we thankfully we're saved by grace. Yeah Christoph Keating has asked favorite method for doing your own research um well I think I think you should do due diligence. So if you're like we were speaking earlier about Greta Thurnberg's um speech to the UN like for instance if you're going to make a pronouncement about Greta Thurnberg either that this is the greatest thing since life's bread or what on earth is going on, this is ridiculous. You should like read the speech for instance. Yeah I mean and not just go off a 60 seconds you know sure Twitter clip.

SPEAKER_02

But then even if you watch the whole thing I mean I'm not really placed to know whether the things she says are accurate or not. Yeah. And then I think some people's assumption is well she must be right because she said it but I mean I don't know whether she's really got any she did she just hear someone else say this and she's just parroting it back out. I don't know. Yeah. And like there'll be people who want to leap to a defence straight away. The reality is they probably don't know. They probably agree with her and so they want to jump to a defense straight away but that's not really doesn't mean she's right. It doesn't mean she's wrong either.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But I'm just saying to be honest none of us really have a clue what we're talking about most of the time.

SPEAKER_04

It reminds me of that that old video that we made uh unsure of what to pronounce on in this world's shifting mores then try not posting anything um it's it's the social media strategy that no one is trying. Try not posting anything.

SPEAKER_02

But it is that you know even when we do our own research I mean w the most I can I try and do I suppose is I'll Google around a bit and can I find the same information in multiple places and it's how I mean how far can you dig though? Because you don't know whether those five articles pulled it from the same erroneous source anyway. So it's really hard it really is to know which is why probably it's not like we say let's not assume everyone's evil because well I mean we all are evil that's the you know but let's not assume assume that everyone's terrible.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah myself included and maybe be a bit more humble in what we pronounce upon you know rather than just declaring everyone else to be an idiot and this is the this is the righteous path you know maybe just a bit I don't know maybe saying I don't know a bit more would be acceptable though you're not allowed to do that. Silence is violence. Someone uh just today asked what should we do to share the gospel with those who believe in conspiracy theories and what's interesting like as as soon as he mentioned about conspiracy theories I started to think oh like do I believe that Jeffrey Epstein killed himself or not? And if I didn't if I happen to believe that he was murdered am I a believer in a conspiracy theory you know there seems to be a spectrum of of of conspiracies right like the acceptable there are the acceptable conspiracies that we all know are true right the reptile one the reptile one the royal family uh well no I'm not gonna say that so there are there are some conspiracy theories um that we all well nobody knows who's really pulling the strings in this world and I think we can all we can all agree that what's going on in the world is far more complicated than a simplified version that's presented to the masses and that's where conspiracy theories really gain traction because all of a sudden if you if you can say to people oh yeah there's this instance in which that really wasn't what was going on the government are lying to you we can totally believe that the government's lying to us and so it becomes totally believable but well if that's true then maybe the royal family are lizards and if that's true then maybe it's a flat earth and Elvis are still alive and blah blah blah. And I guess what the Bible says into that is that it's true the people who say that they're in power aren't really pulling the strings and that there are powers both evil and good that are far more powerful than anything that you look to in Westminster or Washington. If such a thing can be can you imagine more evil a government that is more competent than Westminster yeah and actually the the the gospel comes in and says yeah there is a there is in a sense a conspiracy there there is a hidden mystery to this world and in Colossians chapter two Paul is talking about what he wants to do with the Colossians and those at Laodicea he says my goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding in order that they may know the mystery of God namely Christ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge and Paul is writing into a a culture where there are a lot of Gnostic cults and sects and people saying the secret knowledge and if you join my sect and you go through the initiation processes access to the mysteries and the secret knowledge and only little bits at a time right and if you pay a bit more money you you you know a bit more and you know Scientology is very much like that and Paul is preaching into that and he says yeah there is a mystery at the heart of the universe there there is hidden secret knowledge but you don't have to pay anything it's for free it's delivered to you and everything is hidden in Christ like on full show before the world so who is really in charge is it the lizard people right is it George Soros you know who's really in charge of the world Jesus like and that's the gospel to those who believe in conspiracy theories yeah there's so much more going on than what the Wall Street Journal is telling you or BBC News or whatever. So much more going on but it's not George Soros it's Jesus and that's that's you know and that's a movement that's worth getting in on and then you become part of the secret movement that really is what's going on in the world. Because what's going on in the world is not really what the headlines tell you what's going on in the world is that the gospel's going forth and the disciples you know the nations are being discipled and you know so for those who believe in conspiracy theories you're right you know maybe not about the lizard people but not all the details not all the details but something's going on in this world it's it's far more mysterious than we tend to imagine. Yeah and the more we buy into a materialistic worldview I think the more we're gonna produce a lot more conspiracy theorists because everyone knows that the world is a lot more weird and wonderful than just protons you know colliding into each other. We know we know that the world is much more interesting and mysterious than that. So we're I think we're gonna see more and more conspiracy theorists what do we what do we preach to them we say yeah yeah it's it's even weirder and wonder wonderful than that wonderful it's but you you don't have to pay money and get into a sect it's Jesus and he's out there on show he's the he's the hidden secret to the universe that's my gospel to the conspiracy theorist you know that's what I reckon and Paul McCartney probably did die back in 67 there's that too well you know if you listen to the songs backwards since Paul is dead so yeah prove positive people prove positive um so oh bless you bless you Max that was Max Patterson if you heard the uh the sneeze out there he is on the mend thank you for your prayers everybody um brilliant well where are we off to tomorrow Paul yeah tomorrow we're off to um Bath University of Bath Bath Bath yes uh for their is their mission week yes it's an unusual time of year for a mission week isn't it yeah sometimes they sometimes they do it in in this term rather than in second terms disguise yeah it's nice though yeah it's that they don't do everything in February sure yeah so I guess they kind of build it build up into Christmas and carol service and things right so we're off air yep um speaking at a couple of lunch bars and you're doing evenings as well is that right yeah interviewing people yeah do you know who you're interviewing at all yet no no no right okay that's good but we're gonna talk about uh human what does it mean to be human it means we're rational means we're free uh and we deal with suffering so yeah so Tuesday we're thinking about freedom Wednesday we're thinking about rationality and Thursday we're thinking about suffering so yeah yeah it should be good appreciate your prayers for that so we're taking a couple of the interns with us as well so do pray for just safety and traveling there but also pray for the week for the Christian union as they uh invite friends as they get involved in all the um different events and put it on pray that we go smoothly and kind of no opposition that'd be great and another big thing to pray for is our Christmas films we're releasing one this Friday which will be our 3D animation the Happy Land Nativity. That's right and uh sorry go on say it out loud Thursday oh even Thursday's coming out Thursday and uh yeah do you research clearly keep an eye out for that and uh share it around the place and if you want to give towards our crowdfunder for Christmas it'll really help us to actually um pay for promotion because um a lot of budget really needs to go on the promotion of the video not just the making of it and I think as well at least if it's if you see it on Facebook um I think I'm right in saying that if people like the video I mean that's quite good but if you love the video like the heart yeah I think that actually does raise its profile higher yeah you know and sharing it in the comments yeah commenting definitely comment on it so even if you just go rubbish yeah yeah that actually helps with the promo because even when you pay to promote a video it needs that kind of the boost groundswell to get it going so totally so give it you can be that groundswell be the groundswell that you want to see um so share the video around the place that's the first of four videos that are getting out there if you want to help us with the crowdfund go to give dot net slash christmas videos and uh that would be really appreciated. Yep brilliant well that'll do us for today absolutely thank you very much Paul thank you Glenn pleasure as always okay see you next time bye bye bye
