Usually our podcasts feel more like an interview. In this episode it felt like a few old friends who've known each other for years, kickin it! Be ready to go from laughter to serious shit in a flash with us as we had the chance to sit down and chat with Vinyasa instructor Brittney, CEO of Trap Yoga Bae. Hailing from West Oakland and now residing in Los Angeles, CA, Brittney keeps it 100 with us and openly shares with us everything from being jailed in Singapore to travels that helped form the person in front of us.
Being a Black in the Yoga space can be a challenge in a realm dominated by white women in Lulu Lemon, sipping Chai Lattes. We delve into what sparked the journey to India to grow, heal and find self. From Baldwin to Josephine Baker, the notion of Black Americans stepping outside to find perspective is nothing new. Authentic, honest, open and unapologetic are some of the words I would use for this episode... It's straight fire.
