Jessica Ramirez: And we are kicking it off with an interview with a woman who is running to be the first Indigenous mayor of the City of Seattle, Colleen Echohawk.
Colleen Echohawk: I am an Indigenous woman. I am an Indigenous leader. I am an Indigenous mother and wife. I’m an Indigenous relative to my community here in Seattle and everything I am connected to and am a part of, is connected to that Indigeneity. It just cannot be denied.
