Cheri Carandanis
Art found Cheri when she was lost. In 2019, a brain injury ended her 25-year career as a nurse. Suddenly, the healer became the one in need of healing. With the logical, left side of her brain damaged, she stepped—terrified—into the unknown: creativity.
Painting became her lifeline. What started as therapy became a sacred conversation between a fractured past and present self, between grief and grace. Today, she makes a living as a full-time artist living with her loving family in Portland, OR.
