Jennifer Davis sits down with Pastor Mike Day and Associate Pastor Melissa Perry for Week 5 of This Is Celebration, celebrating the joy of being back together in the room—and leaning into why caring for the next generation isn’t a “youth ministry thing,” it’s a church thing.

They unpack Scripture’s call to pass on our faith (think: “Abraham, Isaac, Jacob” said so often it feels like one name) and the warning of Judges 2:10—that a generation can grow up not knowing the Lord when God’s people stop being intentional. Instead of criticizing younger generations, Mike challenges the Church to step into their world with love, building relationships that listen, pray, and stay present. Melissa adds how intergenerational friendships—serving together, simple conversations, real prayer—create the kind of faith that transfers.

They also share personal stories of adults who made a lasting difference (a gifted Bible, a faithful volunteer, a neighbor-pastor who saw potential), plus a reminder that generosity—helping fund retreats and mission trips—can be discipleship too.
