When COVID struck two years ago, two courageous young people saw and seized the opportunity to transform adversity into positive social change. Kristin Urquiza started Marked By COVID to give a voice to the voiceless after the tragic and unnecessary death of her father Mark Urquiza from the disease. Liam Elkind launched Invisible Hands to deliver groceries, medicine, and other necessities to shut-ins throughout New York City during the lockdown. They each overcame countless obstacles at the height of COVID to build thriving organizations - and two years later both programs have national exposure and impact. In this virtual town hall, Kristin and Liam discuss the lessons learned over the past two years. Facilitated by YANA’s Executive Director Rachel Littman ’91.

Join us for compelling discussions about best practices, trends, and careers in the social impact space.
