Join us for an open conversation about how individual artists are faring and a discussion about ways in which we can support individual art-makers and their work.

SPEAKERS:

DALE PARK '03 | Founder, New York Film and Music Foundation

Dale Park is an American entrepreneur and conceptual artist. From a young age, Park learned all aspects of music and music theory, and was concertmaster and leader of various student organizations at Phillips Academy (Andover). After engineering private sessions at a recording studio in Manhattan, he spent time in Washington D.C. developing a technology to circumvent fraudulent online political contributions. At the William Morris Agency he worked for the head of the New York office, and while at Yale worked at Merrill Lynch private wealth management.

TAREK ZIAD '20 | Actor, Comedian, & Creative Producer

Tarek Ziad received his B.A. in Theater Studies from Yale as an FGLI student and has found himself in every corner of performance since, from playing the iconic role of Belize in Angels in America, to his viral YouTube video Mumps Quarantine at Yale, to his original solo piece Laughing at Crying Babies. He is now based in Brooklyn, where he auditions for roles and performs stand-up comedy, most recently in Colt Coeur Theater's live-streamed Holiday Craptacular with fellow artists including Sara Bareilles and Taye Diggs. Tarek is also a Public Speaking Coach, as well as the Creative Producer of the developing podcast, "Living Breathing Medicine" with Drs. Natasha Beauvais and Cecily Havert.
