Rovena Tey is an artistic chemist. She starts with a bit of scientific wonder and then picks up her pen and paper to translate her ideas into art. Her specialty is chemistry-inspired greeting cards, paper products, home goods and gifts which she offers through her collection called The Chemist Tree.
Her designs use vibrant colours and humour (lots of puns!), which is a great way of sharing her love of science with the world.
On this episode, host Angela de Burger chats with Rovena about what inspired her to combine her love of science with her artistic skills, her creative approach when starting a new project, and how she determines which items she’ll add to her product line next.
