Wendy had to traverse flooding in Uganda to reach our interview. Twice,  her driver almost turned around.  We had technical difficulties connecting and throughout the interview. Right after we finished, the power went out in the village there. It took all day for the interview to finish processing and reach me in Kansas City, but Jesus won the day. All the interference must mean Wendy has something every important to say to us!

Wendy Bird is known as a Social Impactor, Certified High Performance Coach, International Keynote Speaker and Humanitarian.  Her most important role is mother of 5 amazing kids, and grandmother to 6 spectacular grandchildren who fill her heart with love and her days with joy, laughter, and last-minute adventures!

In 2002 Wendy founded the Pearls with Purpose Foundation, a grass roots organization which blends micro-enterprise training with humanitarian assistance.  Through this nonprofit, she has inspired and motivated people all over the world with her hand-up vs. hand-out approach to long term self-reliance.

She designed and published Unstick the Stuck, a planner which helps bring purpose and productivity to the forefront of life. Her upcoming motivational book, #PurposeDriven- offers an inspiring look into her life and the lives she has touched around the world. 

And she has written the long-awaited children’s story, The Purple Dress, which addresses the needs of individuals seeking a more purposeful life and is beautifully illustrated by artisans in the Philippines.

She is well known for her zeal of life as exemplified through her many ‘bucket list’ adventures!
