Owning a horse is a real joy - until he gets hurt. One minute he can be turned out in the field, the next, you're micromanaging his entire existence.
In this podcast I describe my current life as the owner of Cruz Bay now that he has torn the check ligament in his left leg. A total of six hours each day are spent on his recovery.
At the same time, I am grateful that his injury isn't worse. Other horses in the barn, and by extension their owners, are in much worse shape.
