This practice is a breath work (pranayama) practice that helps you to connect both hemispheres of the brain.

Alternate nostril breathing - the English translation of the Sanskrit 'Nadi Shodhana' - is a practice that you either physically (with a hand) or visualise alternating the breaths in and out between your nostrils.

It's said to help support creating calm and clarity, particularly in heightened or frazzled states, reduce stress and anxiety, and balance the autonomic nervous system.
