Dr.Tony Gilmour: An Aboriginal Voice in Housing
Dr Tony Gilmour launched his new book An Aboriginal Voice in Housing with a panel discussion co-hosted by the Kiama Historical Society and the Friends of Kiama Library.
The book is about the history of housing for aboriginal people in Australia, in particular the South Eastern Aboriginal Regional Management Service (SEARMS) and was written with Uncle Tom Slockee who founded SEARMS in 2003 and is still the Chairman.
The Panel discussion was lead by Perrie Crowshaw, president of the Friends of Kiama Library and included Dr Tony Gilmour, Tom Slockee and Kim Sinclair, CEO of SEARMS since 2018.
