Military Recruiting Plans And Force Growth
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah. Hey, what's up? Four RM What's up, Wes Lawrence in the Building? Uh, Alexandria was good. F oh, Scott Roy said facts, and then we got my man up in here. All right, we're getting bro. We get right into the first topic. We're gonna talk about uh military recruiting. But are they gonna take a hit in what was the word? I can never pronounce that day word. Capacity? Maybe it's capacity. Uh, anyway, we'll talk about that so y'all can see it on the screen. I'll give you access real quick, but you got it on your own side. So we'll go right into it because we got a lot of top topics to cover. A lot, lot, a lot of topics. So we're gonna try to fast and furious. Uh, we might have some roast on here again. You never know what's gonna happen on here. Boom, there you go. All right, you should have access. First thing, uh, military recruiting. So if you didn't know, this came out in uh January 27th, uh, 2026, so a couple months ago, uh, on military.com, as y'all can see. The 20 in 2026, the U.S. military will do something that hasn't done meaningfully in years. Dot dot dot grow. Of course it's growing. They're giving out bonuses. Oh, interesting. Uh, Congress has authorized an increase of more than 30,000 active duty service members across the force. Uh, we'll talk about these uniforms in a minute. Uh, so this has been divided up. The army gets allowed a little over 11,000, Navy 12. The Air Force is only getting 1,500. It says we're 320 strong. I thought we're a little less than that, or they are a little less than that. Post Guard is getting 44,000 people.
SPEAKER_09And right, no, no, it says up from 44,000.
SPEAKER_07Up from oh, to 50,000. Okay, you're right. Well, I'm about to say, and then Marines is not changing one bit. Thoughts before we continue.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I'm not surprised. I mean, this is honestly old news. What I mean by old news is we all know why they're doing it, and I know you're gonna cover that in a second. But what's interesting to me is is like you said, I didn't know the Air Force had that many people. We're only short of 15,000 public math from the Navy total force of 334600. That says a lot about the capabilities of what they value out of the Air Force. But why does the Space Force need for Space Force need 600 more people?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, uh what are they gonna be doing? Well, we ironically you say that we're probably gonna have somebody from the Space Force on in an upcoming show. Couple weeks we gotta do, yeah, we gotta do some some uh Jag and PA's type stuff, but yeah, we'll get them on. Uh uniform roast coming in, uniform roast. I don't have my here we go. Uh Pete Reading is not his strong tri. No, not my strong trade at all. We all know this. We might hire uh somebody to monetate to just to just read stuff. That's for real. Service-by-Service Numbers And Space Force
SPEAKER_09So back to the original topic. All right. Um, so it says down there, it says, Why grow now? So, I mean, it's obvious with all the stuff that we're trying to do. And of course, I'm sure that everyone, especially in uniforms, but tracking happening yesterday. I'm talking about Alicia says, What's up, Alicia? I'm talking about the hat, shirt straps are not mandatory.
SPEAKER_07I thought they issued those. I swear when I was there, they issued those things to us. Scott B said, uh, put some old BMT photos up. Was it much different? Great question. Great question.

Defend the U.S. homeland, and no surprise, deter China and the Indo-Pacific through strength and not confrontation. I want to come back to that one. Increase burden sharing with allies and partners and force supercharge the U.S. defense industrial base. Let's quickly go back to number two. Deter China and the Indo-Pacific through strength, not confrontation. So, the reason why I say I wanted to go back to number two is interestingly enough, what happened yesterday. And what I mean is we, you know, the U.S. did military operations along with Israel against Iran. So put in the chat when you saw that. Go grab your A-bag. Put it in the chat. From choosing to buy shirt straps over paying bills or feeding kids, it's easy to poke fun. But until you've been in that BMT environment and get paid that pay, then say something. Facts. Uh Wes Lauren said, Would you let your kid join today? Well, my son is already in, so I if I had to really, if I had to if I had to go back, not today, I would not let him join. Not today.

Uniform Roast And Training Culture
SPEAKER_09What's the 50? Because it's it gives me a sense of purpose, man. Like, you know, a sense of purpose. Although I will say, I'm a little, I will say now that I'm a little torn on what good this is going to bring. Although, you know, with um apparently most media, news media outlets are reporting that Ayatollah Kobeini has passed. I imagine that could be a good thing, I think. But we'll go into that in a second. Uh only as an officer in the space force. Great point. Great point, great point. You were letting join with the with the with the Space Force Chevron stuff, Battlestar Galactica style. What?
SPEAKER_07All right, so uh as we go into the recruiting issue, if we could transfer into that, or do you want to talk about the other two?
SPEAKER_09Yeah, we can transfer. I'll only thing I would quickly say about number two is is we already been talking about that for years about China, China, China, China. And what concerns me personally is the way things are are transpiring now. How does that look for other countries? Like, what if I wonder if China decided to do regime change in Taiwan?

SPEAKER_09Justin says wasn't poking fun at all. Appreciate your perspective. If they want everyone to be uniform, they should have them, in my opinion. Hey, great point. Great point. I think that's what Pete was trying to allude to as well. Is like we we say we want professionalism when people wear their uniform, but we have to also teach and equip them with the items they need in order to do it. So good point.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, all right. Uh so they asked some recruiters, like I said, it's back in January 2026, and they said, uh, but recruits and their families ask particular questions. And I want to know did y'all ask these questions before joining? Number one, will I get the training I want? Interesting question. Where will I live and for how long? Another interesting question. What's the operation tempo? Is the force taking care of people? So I want to ask one. Did anybody ask those questions? Two, what's your thoughts about that? Uh, and then Jensen, Jansen, I I might be pronounced that name wrong. I don't know why it's not showing up on here, so I apologize. But it says, uh, war powers as president includes Donald Trump, is authorizing to commit armed forces into hostile, hostiles or situations of immediate hostiles for up to 60 days without specific Congress authorization. All right, he's probably just trying to tell us like what the rules are. Like, can't can't he impose the war? Uh, let me see. What if China's trying to do regime changes in America? I'm suiting up then.

You know how the United States has NATO, France, England, whatever, yada, yada, yada. But Iran is considered a kind of a sub-ally of Russia. They've always been. And for us to be able to do what we're doing now, it's interesting that Russia, maybe because they're too preoccupied with Ukraine, no response from Russia outside of outcry and you know the world circuit. Interesting.
SPEAKER_07Uh dealt with quite a bit of this as a short in BMT. I was the I was the COVID era dealing with the shots and religious accommodation. So many questions, and those quitting once they heard the beliefs of China and Russia. Ooh.

Why Grow Now: Strategy Priorities

I can't remember a question I did ask as far as on these like along these lines. Will I get the train I want? Never ask that. I remember I did ask if I'm security forces why I carry a gun. I did ask that. I did ask that. Uh, which that was a mistake. That was a dumb question. Um, where will I live and for how long? I never cared. I didn't think I had a say so in it anyway. That's a great that's a better point. Uh, what's the operation tempo? I didn't even know what operation tempo was. Operation tempo. I just wanted to know how when I get paid. That's all I can do. Tony B said they're all going to security forces. So whether training uh backlogs grow or shrink, how Indo PayCon postures change. We are well, we talked about the Korea posture changing. What happens to Korea forces posture, right? We just talked about those. There's no more 12-month tours with those. Uh, and then whether the industrial bases actually speed up anyway. That's something that we just talked about or thought about was interesting with recruiting and stuff like that. So thought that was an interesting topic. We big up. Appreciate all y'all uh comments. A ton of people don't have families when they join. Yep, it's some old ass chief sending an email. Yep.

I would tell anyone if you join, have a solid plan to do your enough time to get your degree within eight years and then get out.
SPEAKER_07That's interesting. So Justin said he talked to his daughter when she was 12 about joining, uh, probably changed her mind 15 times before she turned 18. So, did she join? I don't think nobody talked to me about that until I was able to join.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I mean, there's there's still a lot of great benefits to joining. I just think in this current climate, and with I think them changing high three is big too. A retirement plan? I think that's huge too.
SPEAKER_07So it's it's interesting. Oh, uh just said his daughter is 12 right now. Got it. Uh Rick said uh the unknown war to come. Matthias, didn't you join around the wartime? SPEAKER_07Um, my only thought was why at that moment did your Tourette's happen? Now I don't know too much about Tourette's. I'm not a doctor, I haven't really been around it too much. I was around it a little bit with some high school personnel. Uh, people out well, one person I was with in high school had Tourette's, but he used to just make noises and kind of involuntarily shake, like a little twitch. So I find it interesting that was the moment that you find that word. And nowhere else, I guess, during the ceremony, I'm not sure when that award happened, that he shouted out any other times. And no other time have I ever heard of an award ceremony with anybody with Tourette's shouting that out. So I find that a little weird, and I also have some thoughts about the host trying to clean it up. Your thoughts.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, it's a it's a neurological disorder. So when I was when I was a kid, I was exposed to kids who who had Tourette's syndrome, and yeah, they would say a lot of expletives out loud and just with you know twitch or something to that nature. So it was kind of disturbing, but yeah, I was always told they couldn't help themselves because of that disorder. It's an unfortunate thing to have. I do agree. My concern is like when you're born, you don't get to choose whether or not you know you get you know, you have that type of disorder, but the words you learn somewhere good point, he's heard that word, I would assume. He's heard that word somewhere. And you're right, out of everybody who presented that that night, that is the only incident I've heard of where he shouted out at the people presenting on stage, and they happen to be African American, right? And he didn't say F, you know, up, you know, he said B N. So obviously, if you got African American up there, you're directed towards them, right? So that's what seems weird about it. And then I'll I'll save the part about the whole since you're gonna cover it. So I was I was disturbed by I was pretty, I was appalled.

Ayatollah Khomeini. Yes. Uh Supreme leader of Iran. Yes. And to me, we are now at war with Iran. I mean, uh, I guess letter of the law, when you attack another country, you are at war.
SPEAKER_09So this is difficult because you know you hate to always bring up politics, but it's what's interesting about this is that this kind of does this kind of remind you of Iraq a little bit. And here's why. Remember when Iraq happened, Iraq happened, and they said they had weapons of mass destruction, and we went in there into Iraq and we did this long war. We never found any. And so we said, our administration said a few months ago they obliterated all the nuclear facilities for Iran. They now, fast forward to now, they said we're going back in and we're gonna obliterate them again. And then there's this speech that says that uh tells the the uh the Iranian public to rise up and take over their government. So the way the news media, certain news media is portrayed as we have now destroyed or taking the opportunity to do a regime change in Iran. So is this like Venezuela? Except we didn't take him. We don't get me wrong. Hey, I live no sleep over the Ayatollah Kamei died. None. This dude was a tyrant. This dude has been responsible for many deaths within his country and Americans also. But unfortunately, it puts our people in harm's way. And then I wonder like, what's the true purpose of it? And then only that without Congress being aware of it. And I'm curious, I don't I don't know what the United Nations said. Are they an outrage or what? Did you hear about the US Lincoln getting no? I didn't hear about that. When did that happen? Because from what I last heard, there was no American casualties. Like there's a couple of places hit.
SPEAKER_07They just came across said uh three troops killed in Iran war as Trump operates is ahead of schedule. That was seven minutes ago.

SPEAKER_07That's the only mention of it. It doesn't say too much uh about it. But uh the funny thing is, Iran fe for World Cup games in U.S. in doubt. I can't pronounce his name. The president of Iran Soccer Federation Federation cast doubts on nation's teams' ability to play in World Cup match. Because if you didn't know, it's in the US. So that's interesting as well.
Back To Geopolitics: Strikes On Iran
SPEAKER_09Uh I know mixed mixed message, mixed news. The US, the United States military denies that Iran hit an aircraft carrier with ballistic missiles. So it's it's conflicting stories.
SPEAKER_07It says uh U.S. military said three service members were killed and five others seriously wounded without provoking further details. It says several others suffered minor injuries. This is the first is on AP, the AP.

SPEAKER_07I'm trying. Interesting. Yeah, I don't know. Uh pray for our service members who are out there in harm's way or will go out there in harm's way. Uh I think this is what we have a military for. Whether you agree or disagree, why it happened, how it happened, who it happened, when it happened, all the happenings. Uh, you know, it's kind of how you make your bread and meat. Uh, I hate hearing the shit, Lord help me. Yeah, that's how I feel. That's how I feel. But I mean, this is what we have a military for. Exactly what we have a military for.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I you know, shout out to Gooch, man. I saw his comment on his um Facebook page about um paraphrasing because I can't remember the exact thing, but he said something to the fact of um, no one likes war, pray for the troops, or something like that. And it was interesting. There was somebody in there that said, What do you mean by us? So I don't know if he was trying to allude to does did Tony mean United States, us, or something else, but you know, there's some people, I guess what I'm getting at, there are some people actually, it's the country is divided in cases like this. The one thing I hope we can all agree on is that we we all want to support our brothers and sisters in in uniform because we don't get to choose whether we go to war or not, we just execute correct. But there are people that are for and against this action at the same time. Does this make America more safe? I guess it remains to be seen because I'm sure um even though the Ayatollah Khomeini is dead and there's a couple of other um high-ranking Iranian leaders that passed too or was killed, that's not gonna stop the regime. There's somebody's gonna be there to take their place, and so I wonder, you know, how does that look for folks abroad?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah, I agree. Uh, some people like war because I mean it helps out the economy. There's more money in the economy when war happens.
SPEAKER_09Just a fact that takes your the public's mind off of other things like exactly uh yeah.

SPEAKER_07Yeah, I don't know. It's kind of, you know, everybody always wants to know the reason why. And I don't think in this situation, just like the uh, what was the the dude that we kidnapped from where? Venezuela. I don't think we're gonna figure out Maduro. Yeah, I don't think we're gonna figure out the why, the full why. People can speculate, people can do conspiracy theories and stuff like that, but you know, you just trust in your leaders because I want to say, I don't care what people say, I don't think, I don't think y'all can roast me if you want, but this is just my thought. That the president woke up and was like, let's just launch at these targets and and knock him out. I'm sure there's conversations with military leaders. I would hope. I would hope y'all law y'all launch spears at me if you want to, but that's just my um looking at the high road of things that uh that's what happened. That he talked to his military leaders. DC, can you read all the comments from here on out? You freaking flopping hater.
SPEAKER_09Oh man, I am curious though, for those still in uniform like Scott Roy Justin, when this happened on Sunday or Saturday, what did your airman say to you? Or what did you say to your airmen? I'm curious.
SPEAKER_07Do you think when people and shout out to uh I I can't pronounce your name, Bentova? Uh Bendova. Uh, I think it is Bendova. That's crazy. That's you know I feel like right now, the supermarket people when they say can you page this person? Yeah, I feel like right now, do you get offended when people say Burka? Well, America, America. They say like the team uh, like the team, whatever, team America. Yeah, America, yeah. No, they say America, like it's almost like uh okay. Are We At War And What It Means

Yeah, so this reminds so to your point when you say we will never know, in my opinion, I favor a government or a president who is first out to protect the interests of the American people and defend the country. Um Tony B says, I hope they said less effing go. That's the only mindset that's going to keep them ready and bring them back. I agree. But you know, it's you know, it's just like when I saw the um the state of address the other day. And you see all those people stand up and then we're cheering on the guy who got the medal of honor for his engagement during the the thing with Venezuela. I'm thinking to my room, how many of them people actually do not support veterans like behind closed doors, like benefits and all that? I'm just curious.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, well, you know, this is what uh some of us got the$1,700 for. You thought it was free. You remember when you got that$1,700 uh uh stipend check?
SPEAKER_09Oh man, that was so long, man. This is still feel like it. Look, I'll put like this. If somebody said, Hey, I'm gonna give you$1,700, but in two months, you may be going to war in Iran.
SPEAKER_07You think they're gonna take that joint? That's blood money, bro. Yeah, that's like yeah, yeah, it was politics, yeah, political zoo. Yeah, it sure was. That joy is crazy. That joy, you know what? You know what the speaking of the State of the Union, it just brought to light, we will never get stuff accomplished. Like, no, we will never agree on anything, man. It's like, God bless, man. Get y'all like the whole purpose to be appointed in that position is to get policies done, agree on stuff, disagree on stuff is fine. But man, they could have they couldn't agree on anything. Like some stuff that President Trump said, people should have stood up and clapped for. If that was the point of the state of the union, to stand up and agree or disagree, but they just want to disagree just to disagree. It's like, yo, that's not what you're there for. Make make decisions, make decisions. I don't know if today these kids are soft or is abused. Yeah, you're probably abused, you're probably abused. Uh, nothing yet here too. Tomorrow will be a conversation, but what what I will say is that this is what we rose our right hand to defend again and against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I agree. Uh, everybody that don't support veterans need to drink bleach. Okay, you know that's Gooch and move to China.
SPEAKER_09Dang, bro. That's hey, hey, that's straight from 100 bleach, not sugary Kool-Aid bleach. Good lord, not cast oil bleach. I mean, believe it or not, I mean, I'm sure Tony, you've experienced it too. There are some there's some people who are not very still not fans of the military. It's gotten better over the past couple of years, but we still have people that believe they're not, you know, they put it like this. You know what this is like? And maybe this is not a good analogy. If I is if it's not, I apologize. You know how you have somebody that is like um doing the grounds around the building, right? Making sure the building looks good and stuff, right? You're happy there, but you wouldn't want to do it.
SPEAKER_08That's what it feels like. My opinion.
SPEAKER_09Anyway, like you said, shout out to the brothers and sisters in uniform, especially those in harm's harm's way right now. Um our prayers are witcher, regardless of which side of the aisle you on. That's the thing we should stay unified in and support for our brothers and sisters.

Congress, UN, And Conflicting Reports
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I think the the number one thing he said was when he said uh the number one rule of the US is to make sure that uh basically only US people are here, right? Okay, I can agree to that, or protect US people against um foreign people, or what I can't exactly remember exactly word for word what he said, but it was something along those lines, if you remember. It was something along those lines, and I could agree to that, yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_09Protect Keith Jackson, what's up, bro? My sister-in-law was in Bahrain. Oh man, I hope she's all right, bro. And Bahrain, that's interesting. Interesting. So I I think I do agree. I think you can disagree with how things are going. But I think you should out of, I think you should, I think if it's something legit, you stand for, right? So I think what maybe some of the left was focusing on, and some of the things the president has done they didn't agree with, like the the the message about the Obamas with the hate incident. Then you talk about ice. There are a couple of things they're focusing on, but there are much as much as some people may not want to admit it, there are some things this administration is doing, they have some good intentions. It's just the the the bad outweighs the good in most people's um thoughts process. She's okay, they evacuated her out of there. Man, I'm glad to hear that, man. Oof. You imagine being a civilian in that predicament. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_07I was gonna ask if she was a civilian or not, but I guess that would make sense. That's the only way they would evacuate. That makes sense. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_09What's interesting is that Iran hit a bunch of other countries because we have U.S. sources there, resources there. That's what's interesting. Justin said, What Pete said, the president asked an honest question will you stand for the American people or folks who are illegally or something out of that nature? Yeah, I would agree with you. I think ultimately, you if you're gonna be here in this country, you should be here illegally. Legally, legally, yeah. I am not a fan of you know, ice agents en masse kicking in people's doors. I'm not a fan of that, right? But if you are here illegally, then you need to do the right thing and get it done legally. You need to leave.
SPEAKER_07And the crazy thing, picture us going to North Korea. Who would ever want to go to North Korea? I don't know, but if you're there illegally, like North Korea is gonna handle you accordingly, and nobody's gonna say anything about it, right? And they're not gonna play, right? And same thing with you know, German, they probably won't even let you in the country, yeah. They don't Japan, they don't play. So it's very normalized to say that illegals are not welcome, uh, and that's pretty much a uh a world thing, right? So to say that, and like like uh like Tony said, that was a setup question, but their stupid fail for debate. It's like you know it was a setup, and for you not to be able to stand for that, it's like they're probably thinking, Oh, if I stand for this, I agree with everything he said. No, he asked the question, and and I hate to say acknowledge him, but acknowledge the fact that he hey, I'm standing up for this. This makes sense to me, but it makes me think of when I'm in rooms that y'all are or excuse me, y'all in rooms that I'm not in, y'all are acting the exact same way.
SPEAKER_09Justin says, I'm all for immigration when you come here legally and through the and through the due process, but when you're here here illegally and you're killing the innocent to include kids, that's a problem.
SPEAKER_07Exactly.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I think that's the that's the challenge, is like I think it's the tactics, and maybe I'm I'm thinking maybe the administration believes that's the only way to get it done is by these tactics. But if if the immigration issue is a righteous is is a righteous thing to to to attack, if it's right, it's the right thing to do, right? There's no need to hide behind masks, there's no need to hide behind policies, do it legally, right? But this stuff, you know, with the one lady, which is questionable, the one lady that was shot in the car, and then you have the VA, the person who worked for the VA who was shot in the tussle, you know. I think that brings light, negative light to um the whole thing with ice. So I just think it's the transparency. There's a lot of things in the administration, I think that there's not a lot of transparency to it, and I think that makes people worried. But then on the flip side, there are people who think that's what you need in order to run the country, just get things done, don't worry about transparency, right?
Supporting Troops Amid Division
SPEAKER_07Um last thing, Tony B said, he knew those Dems uh hated him and wasn't going to stand because he said it, and that's what that's exactly what I'm saying. Then politicians are emotional people, you can't see that you are blind, exactly. And I they're not hired to be emotional because when they're running for office, they you know they try to stay emotionless, and then all of a sudden they get there. There's a white way to do things, and mistakes have been made. Yeah, a lot of mistakes have been made. Yeah, a lot of, but it just it just pisses me off that, like I said, this is one incident where we just see how you act behind closed doors and probably act like that all the time. It's like, no wonder we can't get stuff done, no wonder we have shut shutdowns, government shutdowns. It's like, man, this is stupid. It is very, very stupid. Some stuff makes too much sense not to agree on. For him to say something like that, and everybody that is a uh a US, a legal US citizen to be in that room and not to agree just because you don't like the person who said it is like some 12-year-old BS. It's like running for class president and the class, you know, at a grade school. That's a popularity contest, but this ain't you're too grown for that, yeah. Way too grown for that. It just baffles my mind that you are an elected official, you have trained to be an official your whole life, and this is what we get. This is the best we could do, and it's like the blind leading the blind, like, oh, DC's not gonna agree, so I'm not gonna agree. Oh, you know, he's not gonna agree, so I'm not gonna agree. Like, think with your own merit. You could be a and I I really hate the the uh party system. I think we should go with a no party system. Like, though, it's like my party don't agree, I can't agree. Like, no, man, you can have your own thoughts anyway. I'm done, I'm done.
