The Knicks finally get their moment, the Spurs waste theirs, and we don’t pretend the details don’t matter. We break down the Finals like fans who actually watched the swings: the blown leads, the coaching choices, the roster depth problem, and why Jalen Brunson’s run forces a real conversation about where he belongs among today’s point guards. If you’ve been arguing “it was the staff” versus “the players choked,” we bring receipts and plenty of smoke.

Then the tone shifts hard to a case that’s been lighting up group chats and timelines: the Carmelo Anthony and Austin Metcalf stabbing at a rainy track meet, the guilty verdict, and a 35-year sentence that feels extreme to us even when we still believe accountability matters. We talk self-defense, bullying, why “just walk away” can be true and still not be simple, and what jury makeup and uneven sentencing do to trust in the criminal justice system.

We end with a palate cleanser that still hits leadership nerves: Senior NCO Academy graduation photos, uniform fit, top buttons fighting for their lives, and why somebody should’ve done a better once-over before posting. Pet Peeves And Taking Yourself Lightly

SPEAKER_00

Living like no script, just energy. From the block to the base to the legacy. Unpopular.

SPEAKER_05

It's right there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I found it.

SPEAKER_05

That's good. I thought we talked about that yesterday.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna ignore what you just said.

SPEAKER_05

Already there. All right.

SPEAKER_02

You know, you know what, y'all. Don't y'all hate it when you like try to get something from somebody and they tell you what's the right word? I don't know what the right phrase is, but it's like they tell you something in the midst when you need something, and it doesn't do you any good at the time. Don't you hate that? It's like, for instance, you decide you wanted to go out and wear your suede shoes in the rain, and you figure it's not gonna rain. It only says partly cloudy with a 10% chance of rain. And you walk out there and then it starts raining, right? And you ask your friend, yo, do you mind if I borrow your umbrella or can you come pick me up or whatever? You know, I mean, I don't have a rod or whatever, and they say, I told you not to wear those because it's gonna rain. What the duck does it got to do with what I'm doing now? Just come get me. I hate when people do that. Anyway, that's just me. Anyway, go ahead, go on with your thing.

SPEAKER_05

That sounds like a personal problem, but that sounds like a you real life. That sounds like a you problem. Real irritation. You know what? I heard something on TV, it was by Nick Wright. You know who Nick Wright is? Sounds familiar. Yeah, he's a he's a he's an asshole. I don't like it. Okay, he's a sports broad or sports like talk show host kind of thing. And he said he was talking about Draymond Green, and he said, Draymond Green will never be famous in the sports talk world because he cannot laugh at himself. What do you think about that?

SPEAKER_02

Because he cannot laugh at himself.

SPEAKER_05

Like, basically, if he says something, he gets so pissed off that somebody else says something about him that he just has to get back. He won't just laugh. Like somebody be like, Draymond, like you need to retire, like, all you do is get rebounds now, and he'll like fire back at him instead of just laughing at himself.

SPEAKER_02

Like, oh, that's kind of true. Well, it's hard for me to to comment on that because I think Nick Rice is an asshole person.

SPEAKER_05

But I think that's a true statement that most people need to learn to laugh at themselves. Stop taking themselves so seriously.

SPEAKER_02

It's all, but it's easy for somebody to say that till they're in the same position and they won't laugh at themselves. It's very difficult to tell people that when, in other words, it has to be the same all around. You can't pick and choose.

SPEAKER_05

Well, like people say I can't read well. I can laugh at that.

SPEAKER_02

I can laugh at myself. That one there, but it was something, which I know several, that if somebody did that, you would not laugh. You would be pissed. Oh, I can see that. I can see that. That's what I'm saying. It's gotta be the same all around.

SPEAKER_05

I can see that. But what's good?

SPEAKER_02

Say that much, man. Go ahead, do the introductions and stuff.

Fathers Day And Asking For More

SPEAKER_05

Happy early Father's Day to all the fathers out there and fathers to be and puppy fathers and everybody else in between, and people who have are just baby daddies. Happy Father's Day. But I'm a week early, but I won't be on next week. So just want to wish y'all happy Father's Day. I I feel like fathers don't get the same love that mothers get on Mother's Day. I don't know what that is. Yeah, I'm not a father, but I don't know what that is that fathers don't get the same amount of love. They need a lot more love and support on Father's Day. So I'll be the first to say happy Father's Day.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, thank you. I think personally, my personal advice to fathers out there this year is take take a hold, take hold of what you really want. I don't know about you, but I'm frankly tired of draws, I'm tired of tools, and I'm tired of freaking like barbecue stuff. Right. Get what you really want, ask for what you really want.

SPEAKER_05

I feel like tools is a house gift, a mutual gift. It's not like a father's day. Like, yeah, I feel like Mother's Day, they get purses, they get jewelry, stuff that they use for themselves. Like, we don't get them kitchen aid stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, so I agree with that. I agree with that. But anyway, yeah, a great Sunday to be a Sunday. Went out there and got some rounds in on the golf course, so that was fun. Didn't shoot too bad. Golf is such an interesting sport, most difficult sport ever. Most difficult sport ever. But golf is an interesting sport. So everybody out there that golfs, say what's up, put something in the chat. If you're a real true golfer, you ain't gotta put your handicap because everybody be lying about their handicap. But anyway, golf's a fun sport. Good time to get to know people for our conversation. He said, What you shoot. Yo, I played nine, I shot a 49, so not great. But it's it's there. I feel like I would have shot under 90 on the back nine.

SPEAKER_02

I have no idea what you just said.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But yeah. Okay. Let me know about Thomas Woods. I mean, Thomas White. But nah, golf's such an interesting sport. Uh, some people talk bad about it. But I will say, for all the fathers out there, if I had a son, F basketball, F football, I'm putting them in golf. I'm making them a golfer. And why is that? Because one, especially if you're African American, they're looking for somebody African American that can golf. So you have a leg up there. Number two is golf is not as a hard sport to get into as it is basketball and football are. Those are mostly just luck if you get into those. Right place, right time. Golf, you could be anywhere. You could go to any school. There's a lot of schools that pay a lot of money, especially NIL money, to have an African-American golfer. A lot of schools. I hate to say it like that. I'm not trying to pull a race card, but that's just what it is. Just like African-American pilots. There's a lot of companies that would pay you a lot of money if you were an African-American pilot. But at golf, the earnings that you get from golf for four days, you can earn two, three, four million dollars for four days.

SPEAKER_02

So you're doing it strictly based on monetary value.

SPEAKER_05

I think for likelihood to get yourself into the sport professional and because of monetary value, yes. I mean, you have to like the sport, but basketball and football is what a lot of kids want to go to.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

But I say if you have the opportunity to show them golf. And if they get good at it, man, cha-ching, run the register. Run the register.

SPEAKER_02

But that's also based on how good the father is or mother.

SPEAKER_05

No, so golf is not an athletic sport. So golf, I don't think it matters. It probably helps if your father or mother plays, but it's not like track or basketball or football. It's mostly fundamentals. It's like bowling. Bowling is.

SPEAKER_02

What do you think is the most difficult to learn golf or basketball?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, golf. A thousand percent. Hey, Thomas Wise, 100%. If you got a daughter in golf, jackpot. Jackpot. Hey.

SPEAKER_03

That's all you be doing all day. Wish somebody would have put me into golf.

SPEAKER_05

But everybody sees it as an old rich people sport. Which it does cost a lot of money.

SPEAKER_02

You're probably gonna get a lot of you're probably not gonna get a lot of action as a young man playing golf.

SPEAKER_05

No, no, yeah, not really. No, no, no. Your NIL money would look good, but you gotta make it that far. But yeah, you're not, you know. It's gonna take a while for you to get action. Right, right, right. Right, right, right. But anyway, yeah, that's my take for the day. There are thousands of women's golf uh scholarships that go unused every year. Yep. Thomas already knows. Thomas is putting y'all on game. If y'all have daughters

Golf As The Long Game

SPEAKER_05

out there that are in the ages of four to seven, start putt-putting.

SPEAKER_03

All right, let's move on. Go ahead and do the intro.

SPEAKER_05

That's it. I don't know the intro.

SPEAKER_02

You want to introduce our special guest? No, I thought you had it. No, you got it.

SPEAKER_05

I'm the engineer today, remember? Ladies and gentlemen, we have a special guest with us. If you're not surprised by what Philly said, our special guest is the one and only. Never lonely. Always a big fan of unpopular celebrities, and we a big fan of his. Chuck Charles Davis. Oh, wrong button. Hey, try that.

SPEAKER_02

I'll pick up the button, man. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Leave it up to Pete. Leave it up to Pete.

SPEAKER_05

What's good, bro? Man, I'm good, man. How you doing? Chilling, man. Chilling. Hey, I know you across the pond. Isn't that what y'all say out there? Across the ain't that what they're water. For the water, the pond, whatever it is. Y'all watching FIFA? What's the FIFA like looking out there? Is everybody real big on it?

SPEAKER_07

Oh, yeah. You going to all the going to the grocery stores? They got FIFA World Cup stuff everywhere. It's it's crazy out here.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, because I mean, I don't think it's that crazy out here. I see little stuff here and there, but I know out there it's probably bananas. Bananas bananas.

SPEAKER_07

But I think this weekend it was like the it was the king's birthday, so everybody was more, you know.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I forgot you ain't got the queen no more. Oh, yeah. Hey, have you gone to Buckingham yet? Not yet, man.

SPEAKER_07

I don't been here since the end of February. Okay. So I'll go nowhere.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, you got time, but yeah, I went to go visit Buckingham. I went to go visit them up there, Buckingham. But uh it's straight, but it's kind of probably like the White House, you can only see it from certain, you know, from a distance. It's not like you're getting up close or anything, but it's cool to see the dudes out there that don't move or whatever they do. Dudes out there that just be chilling, but uh it couldn't be me. I was a gate guard, but couldn't be me. I'm moving, I'm scratching my nose, I'm talking to people, I'm high-five, and I ain't just standing there. I would get fired on the first hour, first hour of the first day.

SPEAKER_07

Man, Pete, you were a gate guard like 12 years ago, man.

SPEAKER_05

That's very accurate. More than that, more than that. But I was one at one point, but no, I ain't doing that. Just standing there all day. Uh-oh. Philly, could you do that? I know you couldn't do it. I don't even know why I'm asking.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I guess I couldn't do that then.

SPEAKER_05

No, no, you couldn't. You got old knees. Yeah, no, you couldn't do it. Yeah, my VA says I can't do that. Can't do that no more.

SPEAKER_02

So let's talk about the Knicks, man. Let's get let's let's get right into it, man. Those who living under a rock, they just concluded the NBA finals last night. Which is a surprise to me, but game five was it. Done. The NBA season is done, finished, could put. Whether you believe it or not, the New York Knicks, after I think their last title was 1970, 33 or 4 or something. Back in the walk, Clyde Frazier, Willis Reed, Bill, not Bill, um, Earl, the Pearl Monroe days have won the NBA championship. So congratulations to the New York Knickerbockers. But the San Antonio Spurs, who would I would argue, in my opinion, were the favorite to win the finals, not only lose, but lose in five. What's y'all reaction to that?

SPEAKER_05

I'll start. Good riddance. Good riddance. Stupid ass Spurs, man. Good riddance. One, I was pulling for the Spurs. Two, y'all choke in game two by Wimby throwing the ball off of uh uh uh a castle's back and then miss the game winner. Game three, y'all won somehow at the at the garden. Sure, they gave you one, and then game four, y'all blow a 28-27 point lead. Good riddance. Good riddance. Goodbye. See y'all next year or next month or whatever. Peace.

SPEAKER_02

Robarola, I was right. I knew it. I was thinking 73. You're right. Willis Reed re-enters the game. Talk about his story. And for folks who don't know who Willis Reed is, he's one of the greatest centers in NBA history. Not as like good as Patrick Ewing, but what made Willis Reed famous was him getting injured in a game, going back to the locker room, and then when the Knicks are losing, this dude comes back and finishes the game injured and they win. Like Paul Pierce did. But Paul Pierce was two points.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's all he scored.

SPEAKER_07

He scored two points, man. But it was it was a fact that he came in the game and gave him life.

SPEAKER_05

I didn't know. Hey, the rest of the story.

SPEAKER_02

When you hear the rest of the story, hey, but you no, no, Chuck is right, man. Like, just the fact his presence coming back that supercharged him. That's how they won.

SPEAKER_05

Is that like what Paul Pierce tried to do when he faked his injury and got wheelchaired off the court?

SPEAKER_07

Nah, man, that was that that was ridiculous, man. I'm gonna act like somebody shot him. I said, yo, I ain't never seen somebody that much paid. I think I seen a podcast where he said he really had to use the bathroom. You like hey, gotta go, gotta go. He said he had to really use the bathroom. That's how but I tell you, man, the Knicks, the Knicks, man, I'm glad that they won. It's good for the city of New York. You know, I'm from the East Coast, not really a Knicks fan, not a New York fan by any means, but um, I think it's good for them, man. See up there, see Patrick Ewing, John Starks, you know, it's a lot of Knicks players

Guest Check In From Overseas

SPEAKER_07

who, you know, this is kind of for them. So um, I was happy to see them win.

SPEAKER_05

I feel like they think it's for them because they couldn't get past Michael. Jordan had them in a clank for like 10 years. He had them locked up, they wasn't doing nothing while Michael was there. And so poor Patrick Ewing. Yeah, poor Patrick Ewing, because he he would have had it, but he blew the layup. I can't remember what year that was, but he was running down the lane with wide open, seven foot tall for a wide open layup and blew it. And blew it. I can't remember what year that was.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think in the end, um, I agree with Chuck. It's good for the Knicks and really good for the NBA too. Either way, the NBA wins for not so much for the Spurs if they would have won, but for the fact Wimby being able to win because that would usher in Wimby's transition into being a star at the NBA. I think that would have been huge. He's a he's an international player, he's well liked, especially here in San Antonio. This dude goes to HEBs without hardly any security. And then just for his, you know, his talent. So it would have been big for the NBA in that regard. But arguably the Knicks is the bigger ticket for the NBA. Storied franchise. It's been what 73 public math, 55 decades since they've won the title. So, and it's huge. And then all in that, not only that, to see all the old stars there. And not only that, I mean, look at next to the Lakers, look at all the star power that was in the stands. I mean, they're gonna be talking about forever. So it's a big win for the Knicks. However, the Spurs, let's talk about the Spurs. Who do y'all think is the primary blame for the Spurs collapse in the final?

SPEAKER_07

Go ahead, Chuck. I I would say that GM is the primary blame. Oh they had they they had no big man that could spell Wendy. Um they took him in the deep water. He got tired. Um, I think Mitch Johnson, in a way, took some of the blame. But I think too, you know, a lot of people were saying, well, he should have played Harper more, he should have played Harper more. But when you saw Harper play, Harper got tired too. You know, when you ain't used to playing those type of minutes, um, you know, you get your legs not underneath you. So I think the fact that he was missing those layups at the end, especially that crucial layup, had a lot to do with you know, him not playing those type of minutes in the past.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. I think uh I think definitely the coach, man. I I blame so much on the coach. So, so so so much on the coach. And I know it's kind of unfair to say it's a rookie coach, his first year, but F that, you got assistant coaches, so it's not just the head coach, it's the coach and staff. Let me say that the staff. Because you don't have rookies on the staff, you have people that are there. Uh Dale Brown said it. Fox, definitely Fox is the blame in the finals. I will say it's an integral part to get him to the finals, but during the finals, especially what was that game four, where he went there for a layup where he could have just pulled the ball out. Like, bro, you two you've been there too many times, man. Like, that should have been something the coach talked about in the huddle. Like, if we get the ball, hold on to it because they're gonna try to steal it. No need to shoot anything.

SPEAKER_07

But he was in the moment. But think about this, Pete. Like, a lot of people like to say, well, De'Aaron Fox is a veteran. Yeah, he is, but he's a veteran who played on some sorry Sacramento Kings teams. That's true. That's true. When you play on when you play on some bad teams, man, you're gonna get buckets. That's true. Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_05

That's true. Yeah, but uh yeah, I blame a lot on I I blame probably 85% on the coaching staff. I think Chuck brought up a good point with the GM. Definitely didn't make any crucial trades they needed to. Uh, but the the players, the only one I blame a lot on is Fox. I mean, you could blame it on Wimby for throwing it off the back of Castle, but that's one mistake in what? How many games? Five games, and he Was dominant the whole other time, so but that's really it.

SPEAKER_07

But yo, wasn't y'all surprised the way Castle played this last game?

SPEAKER_05

I I think I wasn't surprised. He had two points, but he was he was working hard on defense. But then Jalen went crazy, he had 45. So yeah, so I mean, I never thought of Castle like a dominant score. I mean, he was good at UConn, but I never thought he was like a dominant score like that. I thought he was a good, more or less off-ball point guard than on ball point guard. But I mean, what you gonna do? I mean, I'm they try to throw everybody at Brunson, and Brunson was killing him, killing him. He started off real slow and then he just went crazy. You can't stop that. That boy's a problem. I will say that. That boy Brunson is a problem. He gets to the hole whenever he wants, makes good decisions, like he gets the floater off real nice. I mean, no, really, and then OG. OG's just I didn't expect that. Did not expect that from OG.

SPEAKER_07

No, Brunson scored 40 points, 40 plus points. He almost outscored the rest of the team by his right.

SPEAKER_02

They said Brunson has the highest amount of points scored in NBA finals history, next to Michael Jordan.

Knicks Title Run And Spurs Collapse

SPEAKER_05

That's pretty good company. That's pretty good.

SPEAKER_02

How tall is Jalen Brunson? Maybe six foot, maybe six one.

SPEAKER_05

He's a little bit, I almost said thicker pause. He's a little bit pudgier than a typical point guard. He's almost like Lowry type thing, but Lowry's actually kind of tall. Oh, okay. Slow down, Waller. All right, total package. Slow down, buddy. He had a good playoffs. I wouldn't say he's a total package.

SPEAKER_07

Now, hold on, Pete. I think he got a point though. Okay, let me hear this. Brunson has been doing this forever since he's been with the Knicks. True. It's just the fact that he never had nobody to help him. I mean, but if you go back and look at the previous playoffs that he played in, my man has always been who he is. So I think Waller is on to something right there. It's just that we saw it on this type of stage.

SPEAKER_05

So would you say that uh hold on, Pete?

SPEAKER_07

Your girl turned her comments off about what she vocalized about wrestling when he what my girl uh used to coach the uh the women's team down there in San Antonio, Becky Hammond.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, that's my girl. Yeah, that is my girl.

SPEAKER_07

I didn't know she said uh she said some stuff about when they traded for him that he wasn't a man, he was a 1A, and uh said that he was too small and all this other stuff. So I I done seen that. A lot of people, a lot of people saying that about bringing that out.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, not Becky. I thought she was gonna take over for the Spurs. I thought she's gonna be the first woman head coach. I really did. I really, really did. But she would went to the aces. But anyway, uh I was looking at Waller's comment. I get you, he can shoot, he has court vision, uh, he gets to the rim. When you thought about top five point guards, was Brunson anywhere in there but before this finals? No. Well, I wouldn't even say top 10. Uh I wouldn't say 10.

SPEAKER_07

I would say I'd say number nine, 10.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, okay, nine-10, maybe. Yeah. You said in the NBA today. Yeah, in the NBA today. Yeah, yeah. Before the finals, before before this playoffs, I would say. He was good last year. Let me not let me not disrespect him. He's good last year.

SPEAKER_07

Hold on. If let's say he let's say he's not in the top five. Who do you have above him? Just name your top five that you can think of right now.

SPEAKER_05

Uh Steph Curry. Can I put Luca in a point guard spot? Sure. See, now I'm starting to run into a Shay, Shay, Shay's a point guard.

SPEAKER_07

Nah, Shay a two.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, see, now we're getting crucial. Uh uh. So Luca Steph, I would say Kyrie, but he don't play no more. He he don't James Harden? Is he a two? He a one, but come on, man. James Harden over Brunson. Come on. That's a hurry. I think I'm at I think I'm at three.

SPEAKER_02

So I it's I can't believe you haven't said Shea Gilders. I did say Shay. I said Shay.

SPEAKER_05

I say Shay is a two. Yeah, if Shay's a two, I'll try to look at you got Steph, they got Brunson, number four. Kate Cunningham's not a point to me. Devin Booker, no. Maxie, maybe no. Trey Young, hell no. They got Harden on there, not Ja uh Lamello ball. Lamello.

SPEAKER_07

Nah. See, see, look, man. Look, we're trying to find people, so that'd probably tell you that my man needs to be up there.

SPEAKER_05

You're right. I say, I say, hey, uh, Waller, I stand correct. I still wouldn't say total package, but definitely. Uh Brunson is what did it say? What Thomas White said? Brunson is defensive top five.

SPEAKER_02

No, Brunson is definitely top five.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, definitely top five. He did this last year. Yeah, yeah, when they ran against Indiana. That's true. That is true. That's very true. Done said Fox was shaving points. Do you think they would be in his rigged?

SPEAKER_02

Do you think they'd be in his rigged? I still say, from my perspective, I was a little shocked about Jalen Brunson being that good. I wasn't really following him that way. You know what I mean? Like I think I almost wonder if they would have played Oklahoma, would have been the same outcome. I don't think they would have beat Oklahoma like that.

SPEAKER_05

No, Philly, if you remember, I told you Oklahoma would be a bad matchup for the Knicks.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you did say that.

SPEAKER_05

Because they got they got everything that the Knicks have. They almost size up perfectly with him. Whereas San Antonio just has Wimby, Castle, and a bunch of just players. Yes, yes, definitely got a lot of depth. Yeah, so I thought OKC would be a bad matchup, a real bad matchup for him. And I thought the Spurs would be an easier matchup. Now I didn't think they're gonna gentleman sleep sweep them, but I thought it'd be a bad matchup. But uh Chuck, who's your top point guards right now?

SPEAKER_07

So I would definitely put Kyrie in the top five. I like Kyrie there. Steph Curry would be up there. I like Trey. I like Trey. This is in no particular order. Right, right, right, right. What about Halliburton? Yeah, he gotta be up there, man. What he did last year was freaking amazing. And then I thought K got up there too.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, K definitely. So yeah, I guess that's about it. And then I I don't know if you said Curry. Oh yeah, yeah. Curry.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah, yeah. After that, I don't I don't I don't know what order, but yeah, nothing dealing with that. No Maxie, huh? You know what? I love Maxie's game. I love you know what? I would put Maxie up there kind of like four or five with Brunson and take Hyler Murton out.

SPEAKER_05

I think if y'all would have got rid of, and I say y'all, Philly, got rid of Joe Joel when he is MVP year the next year and got two better players to play with Maxie, they'd be a much better team. I really think the contract that Joel has, the way he plays, really hurts Maxie's game because Maxie just pretty much playing by himself.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, that rookie has helped him out too.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I mean, nobody else, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

He doesn't have the type of players around him like Jalen Brunson have.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, but uh a lot of people saying San Antonio is gonna be better for this. I don't think they will. I think this was probably their best season they could have had. I don't think they're gonna get better.

SPEAKER_07

You gotta look at this though, Pete. You know, San Antonio, they're a young team, they're gonna get better. It's hard to say that, you know, oh, they'll be back next year because you don't know what's gonna happen next year. You know, when he could get hurt and things of that nature. But um, I think the fact that the way Wimby played, and I think this is gonna make him hungry. I think he's gonna get in the gym, he's gonna put on some muscle. Um, I think he is definitely gonna get his conditioning better. And I think next year we're gonna see a we're gonna see a lot better Wimby. I think hopefully we see a uh a Wimby that's got some size on him because he probably needs about 15 pounds.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I have a Wimby for MVP this year, but you're definitely right about size. I don't know if that's gonna hurt his uh his flexibility and stuff like that, because I think that helps with his healthiness to stay healthy. I will also say once they gotta start paying these players, that's where the rubber's gonna meet the road for San Antonio. Right now, everybody's cheap. Castle's still on a rookie contract, Vassell's pretty much a no-namer, uh Champaign is pretty much a no-namer, and then they got uh uh who did we just talk about the rookie? Um Harper, Harper, yeah, Harper's on the rookie deal, and beats or Wimby's still on a rookie deal, so all of them are gonna come off a contract around the same time, if not a year to two years apart. Then we're gonna see what's happening.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but remember this though, because they're all coming off the rookie contracts. San Antonio will be allowed to go over the cap because that's true.

SPEAKER_05

That's true, that's true. If they all stay, if they all stay. But I think I think Fox is gone. Foxes, yeah. Thanks for thanks, Fox, but you were no help when we needed you.

SPEAKER_02

No, they compare Wimby's loss to Michael Jordan, LeBron, and Jerry West. They said it took Jordan seven years to win a title, LeBron nine and Jerry West 11. I thought that was interesting. It might be sooner for Wimby.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. But Mike didn't get Mike didn't get to a championship his first what this Wimby's second, third year.

SPEAKER_05

Mike wasn't but remember the league was different. Like it was funny when Mike was playing, there was a bunch of centers that were dominating the league. Now it's like Wimby, besides like two others you can name, is like the only center, so now it's like a guard league. So I think that had a lot to do with Michael's two, and then Michael was going against the east, but the east was crazy back then, stupid crazy. The west was weak, but the east was crazy back then.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, what what y'all think about the West was all though?

SPEAKER_05

What'd you say?

SPEAKER_02

I wouldn't say the West was weak per se, not in the same contrast as today, comparing the east to the west. I mean, the west they had the Lakers, Portland was good. You had the Mavericks, they had Aguirre and Blackman back then. You of course you had um, I mean, even the Spurs back then was they had Gervin, Artis Gilmore. So they weren't they up like this, they didn't have as many stars as the East. And then you of course you had, let's see, when Jordan, no, when Jordan won the title, they didn't have Hakeem Olajuan yet. It was still it was still early, but they still had like um Portland was the Pakers, Portland, Clyde, yeah, Clyde Drexler, you still had the the Mavericks were Guire and Blackman. So, but they weren't no no to your point, they weren't as good as these, but they they still had some people.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, the east just with Boston and Detroit alone, yeah, just with those teams alone would have killed anybody in the West. But Chuck, what were you about to say? I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_07

No, I was saying that. So, what y'all think about the way Wimby walked off, you know. People comparing that to how you know how Jordan walked off when he didn't uh congratulate the Pistons, and with this one, you know, he just walked off, didn't congratulate.

SPEAKER_05

That's always a tricky thing for me about when people walk off because I understand you're hurt, right? It hurts, and it takes a bigger man to say congratulations. I totally get that, but sometimes you're just caught in the moment and you're just like, get me the F out of here. And especially if you think like we if I feel like we lost the game, I'm walking out. If I feel like y'all beat us, then I'll shake your hands and say what's up, or say congratulations. He probably felt like, which I feel like the Spurs beat themselves in a lot of these games. To have a 10-point lead every first quarter and lose the game, every single one except for one, I would feel like the Spurs beat themselves. I'm like, man, get me out of here. Like, I don't even want to talk to y'all. I'm so pissed off at my own team, I can't talk to the other team. Where if you just beat me, handshake, hey, I tried my best, we did our best, and y'all just a better team. But that's just me. But it takes a big man to be like, congratulations after y'all, I mean, after we beat ourselves.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I would have preferred if he would have stuck around and shook, you know, their hands and congratulated them. Because in the end, I mean, yeah, I get it, emotions come come over. You're a human being, but you you're a professional, man. I mean, I mean, hey, I mean, the Knicks, look, the look, the Knicks beat them fair and square. It wasn't like there was some controversy or nothing. And to your point, you're right. They beat themselves. Wimby said in his conference, he said they dominated the majority of fouls. They just made a lot of mistakes. Not a lot, they made a hell of a lot of mistakes. They that one game at the back one for the game. That one game in New York, which they needed. They needed that game, and they were up 30. Even this last game, at one point, I think the largest lead was 12 or 14 points or something, and the Knicks just kept chipping at him, and then they just fell apart near the end. There was this one play. I think Harper went up for a layup in the late fourth quarter, and he missed the layup, and then just went downhill after that. That just shows how important it is to have experience. Okay, let me know.

SPEAKER_05

Let me ask y'all if we can move topics. Do you think if Popovich was the coach, the same outcome would have been the same? No, yeah, I think so.

SPEAKER_02

You think it'll still have been the same?

SPEAKER_07

I think so.

SPEAKER_02

No, I think so. I I think I put like this the Knicks would have probably still won, but it would have definitely gone to seven. Yeah, it would have definitely pop would not allow Pop is first of all, that shows the experience part because nothing against Miss Joshua, but it's Popovich. And it's not even that it's a good question, but an unfair question because Pop, he's coached legendary players, he's got multiple rings, so he's seen this before, and the way they respect Pop, not saying they don't respect Mitch, but Pop has that commanding presence. He's gonna be like, Look, we up by 30. They coming back, stop shooting freaking threes, go to the hole. That's what he meant. Remby, stay out of foul trouble. Like, yo, don't touch him, just put your hands up. Right, he would have not allowed him to be put in that position.

SPEAKER_05

I remember, I'll let you go, Chuck. I remember one of my favorite things I saw Popovich do. He called a timeout because they were doing something bad. They turned the ball over. Next time he got the ball, he called another timeout back to back. They and they did the coach's huddle. He said, What I said must not resonate with y'all. So I'll keep calling timeouts until y'all get it. We ain't gonna have no timeouts by the fourth quarter. But that's what I appreciate. That's y'all need to listen because I'm but I don't think Miss Johnson would have ever done it. Johnson, is it Johnson? Yeah, I don't think he would ever done something like that.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_07

I think even if Pop was coaching, the lack of death that they had. Depth, yes. You know, you I think DCU hit it on the head. They probably take it to six, probably seven. But the lack of death, the longer the series would have gone on, I it would have favored the Knicks anyway. It's just the lack of death, man. Luke Cornet, Luke Cornette had what five minutes of the whole playoffs, but he was just amazing. Yeah, I mean, he did have that one block though, right?

SPEAKER_05

He had a block and a kickball. Yeah, he had a block and a kickball. That's his highlight.

SPEAKER_07

Look, look, every time they took Wimby out the game, man, Jalen Brussels was going to the hole.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Every team, they was just like, oh man, we ain't shooting no jumpers.

SPEAKER_01

We straight to the hole. Yeah, so right. Blood in the water. That's what he started talking about. Yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_02

All right, well, good. Like I said, congratulations to the Knicks. And I well, you know what? I wanted to ask real quick. I know we want

Blame Game And Point Guard Rankings

SPEAKER_02

to switch topics, but there's one thing I wanted to ask too is give me give me the winner and the loser. What I mean by winner, individual player, and then the loser, individual player out of this whole series.

SPEAKER_05

I think the winner and loser is the same. The winner, no, no, no, the loser is different. The winner is the city of New York. That's definitely the winner. The New York Knicks or New York as a whole, or I should say the state, whatever. Uh they're took they're the winners of this. Congratulations to them. Now they don't know how to celebrate. I'll say that. We learn how to celebrate. How do you burn a bus?

SPEAKER_02

We just ate horse manure.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, they don't burn buses, they throw batteries. You know what I'm saying? The Knicks don't know how to win, and y'all don't know how to lose. I don't know how to call that. But uh New York is definitely the winners. I think the losers of this, I don't really think there's any losers because the NBA won. I think New York won. Um, I would say I guess the biggest losers, not Wimby, because he's still a rookie. Yeah, I'll maybe say, I don't know. If Mitch gets fired, he's gonna be the biggest loser.

SPEAKER_07

No, I ain't gonna get fired.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, he don't think so, but that's that's to me.

SPEAKER_07

Nah, I'm with you. Uh New York as a whole, they're the winners. And then as far as the losers, obviously it's the Spurs.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah. I was gonna say the Spurs, but they'll be. I mean, if they do come back, they'll come back better if they do.

SPEAKER_07

My man said, What's wrong with burning a bus? Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Be a Philly fan, be a Philly fan, and let you know.

SPEAKER_02

I don't recall it burning a bus. They kicked the bus window in with somebody still in the bus. The driver's still in the bus. Y'all beat up Santa Claus. That's different. Who the hell beats up that's a big difference? We don't give two ducks about St. Nick. We ain't got no time for no Christmas chair. Our team sucked at that year. You see, y'all can't lose. That's right. That's right. Um, oh, quickly before

Is The NBA Rigged

SPEAKER_02

we switch topics again. You you posed the question, P. You said, Do you think the NBA was fixed?

SPEAKER_05

I think it was, I still think the NBA is fixed. Wow. Why? I think there's too much money involved right now for it not to be. There's too much collusion, too much ways to collude, too much collusion. Uh, NFL is a little bit more difficult with one game, uh, but NBA is a little bit easier. We can let somebody win a game and the outcome still be the same.

SPEAKER_07

I don't think it's fixed. You know, I just I don't see it. I don't see it. Are you a sports gambler? No, I'm not a sports gambler, but I don't I don't think it's fixed, man. I think just a better team won.

SPEAKER_05

No, I'll give you that. Yeah, yeah. I still don't, I still can't believe they came back from 20 something in the playoffs in a in a finals. A regular season game, I can see, but a finals, I'm like, wow, and it's not they shot eight straight three-pointers.

SPEAKER_07

That's true. That's true. That's true. Momentum is a real thing. Yeah, they out here, they out here shooting shots on the parking lot.

SPEAKER_05

That's true. I I mean never mind, we'll switch topics because I'll go on this forever. We'll switch topics.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so again, congratulations to the New York Knickerbox switching topics here. Kind of a an interesting

Carmelo Anthony Case And The Verdict

SPEAKER_02

yet not as joyful topic on this one. Has been quite the discussion across the country, and it is the case of between Carmelo Anthony and Mitch. What was his name? What's the guy's name? Metcalf. Metcalf. Yeah, Metcalf. I'm sorry, duh Metcalf. So, anyway, so back in 2025 in April, there was a young man named Carmelo Anthony, he's 19 years old. Um, he went into to a track meet on a rainy day, went inside of a tent of the opposing school's tent, and when he was there, he met up with this individual. Um Bob, what was his name again? Mitch. Mitch. I'm sorry. I keep thinking Mitch Johnson. Okay, Mitch Metcalf, right? So he met up with this boy, and there was some confusion. One Metcalf did not want Carmelo Anthony in the tent. Carmelo Anthony said, you know, I I can be here. Somebody invited me here. There was a lot of confusion. Austin, Austin Metcalf Metcalf. Sorry. Um my apologize, my apologies to the audience. So Austin Metcalf. So Austin and Carmelo is what we're talking about. So Austin and uh Carmelo had an exchange, a couple of different dialogue for about Six to seven minutes because Austin wanted Carmelo to leave because he wasn't in the right tent. And so there was a point where between the exchange, Austin was about to try to usher Carmelo out of the tent physically. Carmelo said, Touch me and see what happens. According to a witness, that's what was said. And so once there was a scuffle, a knife came out of a backpack or of a pocket. Austin was fatally stabbed in the heart. Carmelo left the tent, jogged away, ran away, met up with police. Police arrived on scene. He put his hands up and he said, Hey, I stabbed him because he tried to hurt me. It's a self-defense. And so fast forward to the day, there was a it was a hearing, it was a court hearing. Um there was a couple of witnesses that went ahead and they went on went on stand to testify. And then in the end, the jury ruled in three hours, and they ruled uh Carmel Anthony is guilty of murder, and he got 35 years. So reason why we're talking about it because the polarizing case, uh, a lot of things are unpacked here between who was on the jury, between the witnesses that were called, between whether it was self-defense or not, and some other cases that are closely related and some different degrees of differences. But anyway, I'll stop there. So let me get y'all's thoughts.

SPEAKER_05

Uh Pete. Yeah, I don't want to jump too far ahead. Uh uh talk about the controversial stuff. I don't think he should have got 35 years. That's kind of insane. The murder one charge is very just as insane as 35 years. I definitely looking at what murder one is, uh, I don't think that fits the category. And if murder one was the only charge, I don't even know how they got a guilty verdict. That's pretty crazy. The race shit that they talk about and all I don't think there was no racist stuff involved or race hate or anything like that, or that the part that he's African American, he got more time. That's controversial because of who's on the jury. Here's what I'll say. And I I think I told Philly, you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes. That's what I'll say. You went there with a knife, and pre-knowing that you were going to try to meet up with this person who's been bullying you, but you brought, and same thing I told Philly when we talked about this, you brought a cheat code to the to the fight, to the game. You brought a you brought something that was not allowed in the competition, and nobody knew that you had, and tried to say, fuck with me now. Happens, bro. You got a cheat code with you. Why would I do that? And then it went wrong. You supposedly stabbed the guy one time, which probably do I think you try to kill him? No, but you stabbed the guy one time to try to say pretty much, I think the message was stop bullying, stop bullying with me, which I agree, but you shouldn't bring a cheat code. And the dude died, and you played the stupid game, you won a stupid prize. But I don't think it should be 35 years.

SPEAKER_07

Hey, so just want to uh so two things I want to point out. Um, for one, you know, it's a tragedy of what happened because two young men have basically lives have been one whose life is over and another one whose life will never be the same. So um, I think that's the first thing to get out the way. Um the two things that I noticed in this case is uh come to find out it wasn't a knife, it was uh tool for your clips and then also Austin Metcalf was 230 pounds when Carmelo Anthony was 160. Um we don't know, we weren't there, we don't know what happened, but I take it back to what was the problem with the kid being underneath the tent? It was raining outside. I think it was testosterone from two individuals and things got out of hand. But let's look at the root the root is people just don't be good people to people. You know, if he's underneath the tent, hey, it's raining. Why why all of that? You know, why why do you even have to get into all of that? Even if it would have ended up being a fight for what? Because somebody was underneath a tent because it was raining outside? Really? So, you know, all the other stuff that comes with it. I just think it's unfortunate. You know, 35 years is a lot of time, especially considering that I think there was a case a year ago where a kid there in Texas had stabbed another kid um in the bathroom. Kind of kind of similar situation. Um, did not get murder one, murder two, but got something like uh a voluntary mass holder got in two years. So I think the issue is is our justice system is not equal and it's not fair. And in this case, you know, 35 years. I wasn't surprised by the conviction, but I was surprised by the 35 years. I I I think that's successful for a kid who was 17 years old, made a horrible mistake. And a lot of the things that are coming out now just make you wonder did he get rid of it? The judge knew his dad, the DA knew his dad, the jury, the jury is not a jury of his peers. Right. So it just does not

Self Defense Fair Fights And Real Consequences

SPEAKER_07

give you the warning fuzzy about our justice system. Um I think that's the thing that I take away from it is our justice system is flawed, and I would tell all young black brothers do not put yourself in a situation to have to be in this justice system because you would not get treated fairly.

SPEAKER_05

Philly, I'm gonna let you go. Uh, one thing I'll say, and then Philly, I'll let you go, and anybody can respond. I classified him as a straight coward, and you do not need to be in society. You're getting bullied on by somebody who is a hundred pounds over you or whatever. I got it, I got it. But you can't bring a cheat code into a fight just because somebody outweighs you. You need to man up and either take an L, which is a fist fight, and live the fight another day, or you need to figure out a way out of the situation. But figuring a way out of the situation is not stabbing somebody else. Supposedly, he talked to people and told people about it, nobody's doing anything. Like, I just think you can't. I think my biggest thing where I just keep harping on is you brought a cheat code to the fight and then challenged him by saying, touch me and see what happened. Where the F was that energy when it was just one-on-one? You had so many opportunities to squash this. You chose to do it inside a tent where you brought something that was not allowed. You effing coward.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, Pete, but it wasn't a knife. Okay, well, it was a tool used for cleats.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, but I mean, still you still have something that I did not know that you had. And but you're challenging me. And you're challenging somebody who's been bullying you. So of course they're gonna accept the challenge. Like, all right, here we go. It's it's see what happens, time. It's just like if somebody challenges me to a fight, and I'm like, all right, let's go. I put them in my hands and they pull out a gun. I'm like, wait a minute. I didn't know it was that kind of fight. You challenged me. It ain't like I came there picking on now. If he would have just bullied him, if they would have trapped him into the tent, said you're not leaving, you're about to take this ass whooping, and now it's self-defense by you pulling out a knife or a cleek cleaning tool or whatever it is, got it. That's self-defense. But you had ample amount of time to leave, you know the situation, but you had this weapon that gave it's almost like alcohol. You had this thing that gave you all this confidence now to get things done. Anyway, I'm talking too much.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but I I say this too. Um, I think Austin Metcalf had confidence, he's with his twin brother, you know, it's testosterone. I'm gonna show off. Um, so I think again, they seven they were 17-year-old kids. Right. We're talking about it as grown men with kids. But one thing that I tell my daughter, and she runs track, you know, treat people with respect, treat people how you want to be treated. And do you think that Austin Matcalf would have been one of that? Would he have wanted to be treated like he treated come out of the day? No, probably not that day. Yeah, probably not. You know, I I just I can't help but to go back to all of this over somebody being under the tent because it was freaking raining outside. We got we gotta do better. We absolutely gotta do better to speak.

SPEAKER_02

I I'll first say I don't disagree with the sentence as far as him being found guilty. What I have an issue with is the amount of time he received. 35 years is is too long and is totally unfair, especially based off different cases that I think Chuck you mentioned earlier that's compared to it. And even though if you're gonna say trial by jury of your peers, then how much time did they take to find these jurors? Even if they found one, even one person of color on the jury, right? And you didn't find out one, and then like based on history and how the perception that black folks have about the judicial system, you would think you would go off out your way to find at least one black person to put on the jury. Then going back to that day, yeah, it was raining, somebody wants to get into a tent, and my wife cautions me all the time, like, we don't know that's assumptions. That's true. So all I have is an assumption. My first initial assumption was he went to the track meet, and the question I don't know, and I'm going to assume that it's not like he went into the tent, saw Austin Metcalf, grab the tool for the cleats, and then put it in his pocket or in his hand. He had it before he went to the tent, I'm assuming. And if he had it before he went to the tent, I would assume he knows or has an idea or suspect something may happen when he goes in the tent and he wants to protect himself. So that's one. Number two, when he gets in the tent and he sees Austin Metcalfe with his twin brother, my first thought would be is one, is a free country. You should be able to go wherever you want. There was no sign that says, unless you're from this school, you cannot be in this tent. I'm assuming there was no sign that says that. Now, when he went in there, he's in another school's tent at a track meet. And we know, just like Chuck mentioned earlier, where it's 17-year-old kids, school pride comes into play, whatever, then it's a race involved. Who knows? I mean, based off what his father's been talking about all over social media about black folks, maybe it kind of bled over into Austin where his mind he has some issues about black people or stereotypes and stuff. And so they had history, maybe. So he sees Carmelo in the tent. He's like, What the duck you doing in this tent? How dare you? Blah, blah, blah, blah. Some of women, some witnesses claim that they were trying to just in Austin claim apparently said, I don't want to fight you. Don't know how true that is. Apparently, some witnesses said that. But they was trying to get him out of the tent. Carmelo wasn't leaving. So going back to the rain, I don't know how bad the rain was. Maybe it was a torrential San Antonio downpour, Armageddon downpour, maybe it was a slight drizzle. I don't know. But yes, I would rather be in the tent than get wet. However, if I walk into a tent and I see a bunch of people in there, and they don't look like they have good intentions for me, I'm leaving the tent. And I'm I'm leaving. Matter of fact, I believe his mom said that that day he usually goes to the track meets, but she didn't go that day because the weather was so bad. So she stayed home. But he went anyway.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, wait, Philly, let me ask you 17-year-old Philly would he have left the tent? Because I don't think I would have I wouldn't have gone to the tent. I don't think 17-year-old Pete would have left. Because I'm feeling like I'm undefeated. I'm feeling like I'm invincible at 17.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no. My wife was saying the same thing. I look at it like this. If I knew, if I had no dealings with anybody from that school, I would go in there. If I go in the tent and I see somebody I had beef with, and there's a bunch of people I'm by myself, I'm leaving. 17-year-old Phillies leaving? Hell yeah, I would leave. You did not you did not grow up in Philly or New York or New Jersey. Have you let me ask you this? Let me ask you this. Have you ever been rushed before? What does rush mean? Exactly. Let me move on then. Let me move on. I don't know what rush means. Maybe getting the shit kicked out of you by a bunch of people. No, never, never. Look at that. Exactly. I know Chuck is aware of that. Chuck, I'm not saying you got rushed, but you know people who got rushed, right?

SPEAKER_05

I know people, I know people. Wait a minute. I've been in a lot of fights in my life. It's not that bad. You can never been rushed by a group of people.

SPEAKER_07

By a group of people. No, exactly. Never. Exactly. Exactly. Like Tony, like Tony Boss said he said, jump. That's what it means. No, yeah. You don't know what you're gonna do.

SPEAKER_05

Nope.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_05

But I feel like I'm undefeated at 17. I feel like I'm invincible. Yeah, you undefeated because you ain't really go through no shit. Not undefeated, but invincible.

SPEAKER_02

California, what y'all like? Put up y'all dukes.

SPEAKER_01

That's what we do.

SPEAKER_02

That's what we do because we fight there. Yo, you know, my wife illustrated this perfectly, and she tells me that all the time. Now I've done it too. In Philly, in the East Coast, it is not uncommon to see somebody with a nail follower, like one of these, like the little thing, the little hook, as a weapon. Because you don't know what's gonna exactly or razor blade in your mouth or something. That's normal. So for Carmelo Anthony, I understand why he did that. The only thing I don't understand is once you saw him, why would you stay? It's one thing, Pete, you mentioned earlier. If he's at a bus stop on a bench at the track meet and they approach him, now you but you ain't got nowhere to go. Right. But you go in the lions den and there's a bunch of lions there. Why would you not leave? And maybe, Pete, what you're saying is maybe 17-year-old Carmelo felt like, I'm tired of getting pushed around. F y'all, I'm staying here. Plus, I got a little equalizer in my pocket. Y'all don't know.

SPEAKER_05

No, it's that part. He had liquid courage. That wasn't liquid courage. He had physics, and for Dale Brown, we do stay 10 toes down in Modesto. But anyway, uh he had that courage because you had, like you said, that that equalizer. You effing coward. That makes me so mad.

SPEAKER_07

Hey, hey, hey Dale, you know what they're doing out there in uh in California? They uh crit walking each other to death.

SPEAKER_02

You look like you from Star Wars throwing up that chuck your thoughts on what we just said or what I just said, one or the other.

SPEAKER_07

Nah, I I'm with you. You know, when you 17 though, and in that situation, he probably was thinking, oh, he ain't gonna mess with me because it's it's out in public. So I'ma just I'm gonna just sit here and he probably not gonna mess with me. And then if he do, I got something for him. You know, um I'm from the East Coast, I'm from DC. I've been to school where people put razors in their mouth, and I done seen a teacher get slashed across the neck. Um so you know, you always approach people thinking that they might have something or they gonna up the hand. So I think in that instance too, you know, Austin Matt Cat probably ain't know no better that hey, you know, I might not want to mess with this dude because you always gotta think that in the back of your head. If I'm about to go, you know, mess with somebody, I gotta have something in my mind, like you know, they might have something. So is this really worth it? Because if it ain't worth it, I ain't about to play them games. Like you said, we play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Not saying that Austin Metcalf won a stupid prize. That's not what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_05

But um I'm saying Carmelo won a stupid prize. Like I really put wholeheartedly put a lot of this on him because of everything that Philly said. You had an opportunity to leave, but you challenged somebody according to what they said, according to what they said, that you said touch me and see what happens.

SPEAKER_07

All right, so I'm gonna I'm gonna give you this one, Pete. Um, say we're in different squadrons, right? You know, uh, you security forces are maiden as you roll up on the flight line. I'm not uh about to be like, hey man, get off my flight line. Or you know what I'm saying? I'm just not gonna do that. Um you know, you might be there. All right, well, first of all, it ain't mine to begin with. It ain't his tent. Right. You know, it it ain't it ain't his property, it's the isd's property or independent school district. So for him to do what he did, um, again, it shouldn't have turned out the way it turned out. But again, it goes back to why was it so pertinent to get him out that tent?

SPEAKER_05

Why? I I I guess I don't see it from that angle. I see it from the angle is I don't know why it was so pertinent for getting to get out tent, besides I think it was the other team's tent. The uh uh so just get him, you know, kind of what you said about the maintenance fight line uh scenario. Uh but maybe they thought that school pride thing got in the way. I just feel like I would never I I still get caught up in the never challenging somebody. I'm never gonna challenge them and say, touch me and see what happens. Well, that's easy to say when you have something that somebody else doesn't. If I have 40 dudes behind me and you by yourself, I'm like, yeah, touch me. Like, that's what gang members do. That's why gangs are so big, is because it's easy to say, let's get in a fight when I got 40 of my brothers behind me. But when I'm one on one, now it's a lot harder for me to say, see what happens. Uh Tony Boss said, coward is wild. The kid wanted the smoke and thought the knife made the fight even. He should be in jail because a kid died. Oh, oh, yeah, he should be in jail because the kid died, but not but yeah, that's exactly what we said. I feel the same way. But Tony, this dude is an effing coward. I will not stop saying he is a coward all because you challenged somebody, according to reports, and you had something somebody else didn't. Now, if you would have showed him the knife and brought it or whatever it was, the cleat uh repairing tool, if you would have shown him that and said, touch me if you want to, now it's a different story. Because now I told you, bro, if you touch me, I'm pretty much gonna shank you, I'm gonna hurt you.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, so P, I'm gonna ask you this. If someone told you that, what would you what would you have told him to do? Well that's go get a parent, go get a go get a counselor, go get a go get an adult. Because that tells you right there, somebody tell you, yo, touch me, I'm gonna do something to you. They probably about to whip your ass. Right.

SPEAKER_05

So But I'm thinking you're putting things, I'm thinking we're gonna fight. But you didn't say stab me and see what happens because I'm gonna stab you back. You said touch me, and then brought out a knife. Like what the and Tony said fair is fair. That's fair. I don't see how that's fair. I really, really don't. Now, in a street fight, there's no such thing as fair. I get it. I get it. No fair, right? I get it, but there is to my understanding, I guess it's just hard for me to get past you. Challenged them, but you weren't fighting fair. That's my hardest part.

SPEAKER_07

But you're going at it with a presumption that the person is going to be fair. You're per that's your assumption. Correct. The thing is, is you trying to get somebody from underneath a tent, and then they tell you, touch me and see what happens. If you don't want to see what happens, go get an adult. That's true. Yeah, go get an adult. Go to an administrator, have somebody else do it. You know, when he says, touch me, I'm gonna do something, and he's still standing there, you know. I'm seeing this kid who outweighs me by 70 pounds, and I done said that, and he's still standing there. Yeah, he probably, yeah. It's not it's not gonna be fair. And his brother's there as well. So it doesn't happen. It doesn't help now that you are seeing, you know, what his dad is saying out here and all of that. So as far as we know, he could have been hearing this stuff at home and being like, man, I ain't gonna do nothing because if you do something, I'm gonna beat him up like I always do.

SPEAKER_05

And I think that's the case, but I mean, to to my question to both of y'all, do you think manslaughter would be a better maybe murder two at the most?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, I think I don't know. It doesn't feel like they take into account his age, is he has no record, and the circumstances of why he went there. I don't think he woke up one morning and decided, I'm gonna go kill this guy. I think that was an enormous amount of pressure that you know, maybe after a while. I one thing I don't know for clear, um, clearly, is if he was if he was bullied by this guy, how long was it? And was he telling people and they weren't doing anything? Because you know, my mom used to tell me, like, if you meet a bully and they keep messing with you, you pick up the biggest brick, you knock him upside the head. Now, is a brick a knife or a a sharp weapon? No, but you kill somebody with a brick, you hit them the right way, right? Okay, let's stop there. Oh, go ahead, go ahead. No, go ahead, go ahead. If you if you if you can beat them, pick up a brick and you you do it because it gets to a point where as you tell the teachers, you tell the administrators, all they do is, you know, so and so stop, leave them alone, blah blah blah, and then they don't know when you go home. And I've experienced it many a times. You go home and they following you and stuff, and going back to the rush thing, you end up in the wrong neighborhood, you more likely gonna get rushed, especially if you got some nice stuff on, and the teachers ain't gonna do nothing about it. So your only recourse is you pick up the nearest stick or you pick up the nearest stick or brick or rock and you use it just so you can live another day. So um, I'll pause there because you said you had a comment. I'll pause there.

SPEAKER_05

So that's where I get lost, and maybe it's because how I was brought up. If you get bullied, why would you use something that the bully didn't use? Because I I I I'm just assuming now, is it because you can't fight? I I don't I don't understand that logic of if you're getting bullied, you pick up I know I'm not talking about your mom, of course, but I'm saying that logic, if other people have the same logic, if you're getting bullied, you bring something to the fight that you know the bully doesn't have so that you can win. Is that what I'm understanding? I just don't understand the pick up the brick and hit somebody with it.

SPEAKER_02

Well, here's the thing I think, I think maybe go ahead, Chuck. Go ahead, Chuck.

SPEAKER_07

A P. So uh you remember Friday, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yep, that's what I was gonna say.

SPEAKER_07

Yep. What Craig do? He pulled out the gun.

SPEAKER_05

He pulled out the gun. And what does dad do? You put the thing, you fight like a man.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, what you're forgetting is Craig used a brick too.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, that's why I was getting the brick. Got that, got that. But did he win? Did he go there with a brick?

SPEAKER_02

No, but he picked, I'm not saying you go there with a brick, he picked up the nearest thing he could get, the nearest object.

SPEAKER_07

That that the kid didn't go there with a knife, he had a tool in his book bag for cleats at a track meet. Okay, so in his mind, he picked the one weapon that he thought that he could stop or prevent from him getting rushed. So basically, it happened to be the thing that he picked up.

SPEAKER_05

So basically, what we're saying is Craig or whatever, you can't beat this person up, so you need to use something else. Is that what I'm understanding?

SPEAKER_02

I think what you're forgetting is you cannot relate one, everyone's experience is different, right?

SPEAKER_05

I agree.

SPEAKER_02

And in your experience, you've never been in an environment where you've had the I'm just gonna be honest. I mean, let somebody on this chat uh tell me if you lived in California, Modesto, it's a big difference from living in Philadelphia, New York, DC, and Jersey, where you're walking down the streets, a bunch of dudes there all the time. You got metal detectors at the school. It's a big different environment. People selling drugs on the street. Now, if you're telling me you went through that, then maybe I would agree with you. But your experience is a big difference. There's no such thing as a fair fight in those environments. You're trying to live and you getting beaten ahead every single day, sucker punch and stuff after a while. You get tired of that shit. You're like, I ain't got time to be sitting there. All right, we're gonna fight fair. F that, I'm trying, hey, I'm trying to live the next day. If that means a brick, a stick, a knife. The only thing is when you use those weapons, you have to deal with the consequences. And that's what Melo, I think, didn't understand at the time. Because what tells me for sure is when the police got him, he went and he put his hands up, he said, I did it for self-defense. In his mind, he felt like he was defending himself, self-defense. And I get this guy was 70 pounds more than him, but the problem was that in his environment, when he went there, he could have easily walked away. He could have just left the tent. Now, if he left the tent and they kept chasing him down mass mob-wise, that's a big difference. Now you're in a position, you have no choice but to defend yourself. But he stayed. And when he stayed, he probably felt like they were gonna leave him alone, but they're like, yo, we're gonna push you out this tent. But if he would have produced whatever tool he had, maybe they would have not messed with him. That's true, that's true. Uh let me get these comments up here. Hold on. Let's see. Dell says, I don't think it was premeditated. I think he utilized what he had to defend himself in the moment. Unfortunately, it turned into death. I agree. Tony Bostick says, but Craig used a brick, exactly. That's what we just said. And then Tony Bostick also said, Pete must have either gave a lot of ass whoopings, which I doubt, or took a ton, which I'll doubt that too, because ain't shit going on in Modesco. I just don't understand that exactly. Uh Dooley Allen. Dooley Allen says your environment can sometimes shape your mentality. Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, we we come from two different environments, so it's not about taking her, or it's not about taking or giving ass whoopings or anything like that. Uh, it's just my thing is that I feel like you cheat when you do stuff like that. And I'll say that for anybody. If you pick up a brick and hit somebody with it, I mean that could cause death too. But to me, you're you're cheating. You're cheating.

SPEAKER_02

What's up, Cotra? Garner says I teach my son to walk away. Man, it's crazy in high school these days. I agree. If you rush, do what? Do do what you gotta do. Exactly. I ain't gonna look, I ain't gonna sit there and be like, it's exactly what we said earlier. When you get in a fight, if you're getting the shit kicked out of you, yo, you bite, you scratch, you eye gouge, you throw sand. You ain't worried. Well, I I had this brick, but if I use this brick, it's not fair. I probably should just keep getting my ass whooped.

SPEAKER_05

You ain't worried about that, man. You should probably learn how to bite.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. Over to you.

SPEAKER_05

Why ain't that the other option? You should probably learn how to throw some hands. It only takes one ass for you to learn how to throw some hands. Go to the go to the class or something. Take Tabo for all like I'm dating myself. But god, man.

SPEAKER_07

Hold on, Pete. You said no, you you said uh it just take you one ass to learn how to fight. Well, well, Craig Daddy used to get his ass whooped all the time.

SPEAKER_05

I can't go back to Friday. I can't go back to Friday. But anybody fought like a man. You know what? It's not always about ass whooping, it's about living to the next day. You fight like a man, you get your ass whooped like a man.

SPEAKER_07

It happens. You live, but you live to fight.

SPEAKER_05

My daddy taught me the same thing, Curtis said, walk away. But if you can't walk away, you better defend yourself. Now he didn't say by any means necessary.

SPEAKER_02

No, but by any means necessary. I'm not about to let you kick my ass when I can grab this dude and get the shit. It's my thing. If we're in school, if we're in school and we're in the boxing ring and we're finding the Marquis Queensbury rules, that's different. And there's a ref there, that's different. But if I'm out in the street, I'll be damned unless somebody kick the shit out of me and there's a stick or a brick there. You're gonna get that stick of brick. That's hilarious to me. Totally says knives and guns were only pulled when you were really trying to end someone where I came from. That's true. If you're fighting, I have seen people get slapped with things as small as trapper keepers or as bad as bottles. Fights are real, are never fair. Word up. Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

That's why I say don't ever get in a street fight, anyway.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, hey, but but back to Tony Bostik's point right there when he was saying, you know, he done seen people get slapped with trapper keepers and bottles. People can also get killed by trapper keepers and bottles, too. What's a trapper keeper? The binder?

SPEAKER_05

The binder? Yeah, the notebook. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Shout out to Upstate 315 or two says, if he would have got 15 years, do you think people would be more understanding?

SPEAKER_05

I think it's a sentence. I think the if it would have got manslaughter in 15 years, I think so. The murder one is what I can't get past.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I can't get past that. I think uh the 15 years, yes, but 35 years just seems excessive. But I will say this now that we know some of these things, as far as they dismissed a black juror who was a teacher, but they kept a white juror who was a teacher. Um the judge knew his dad, the DA knew his dad. Um I think now we got so many nuances in it that now I'm like maybe it ain't about the sense, but maybe it's too because he didn't get a fair trial, maybe he didn't get a fair shape. So I think that hopefully um he gets an appeal to be able to have things be even and be fair, and then if it still comes out with the same result, I think a lighter sentence to fit based upon other crimes that have been committed. Similar, I think people will be more inclined. But I think now with all this other stuff that's went out, and then his dad's all on social media, daddy messing it up. You ain't lying, daddy messing it all the racist comments and stuff like that. Man, it's just it it's not it's not made for a good situation at all. It's it to me, it's made it worse.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I don't know who the hell his lawyer is, but he needs to fire. Hey, don't ever hire that dude, whoever his lawyer was, don't ever hire him.

SPEAKER_07

Go defend yourself. But you you know what, Pete? So me and my wife was talking about it, and um, we weren't surprised by the conviction, but definitely the sentence. But I was telling my wife that um man, to me, it seemed like the trial went so fast for the defense that it was like one minute, the prosecution rests, and then defense was up, and then within the next day it was over. So I'm like, what kind of counsel did he have? Right lack day of counsel that he had. So I thought that was really odd in a situation with a trial that's this polarizing that his defense went so quick.

SPEAKER_02

That's a great comment from Tony because I wanted to bring that up. And to Chuck, to your point about his defense. Like I heard they they raised about six hundred seven hundred thousand dollars of a gun go fund me. So if they had a public defender, where'd the money go?

SPEAKER_07

Man, Tony said a mouthful with that one. That was that don't look good. It don't. It it it definitely don't. It definitely don't. I don't know. If you've seen it now, that uh Lil Boosie is giving giving five hundred thousand dollars, and um, I think there's another lady that's coming out. Um, I think she is helping out with a new lawyer and things of that nature. So yeah, man, that the the thing with the parents, I don't want to talk too much on it because I don't know too much about it, but it does seem kind of weird that all that money and he had a public defender, it's just something don't sound right.

SPEAKER_02

What y'all think about Robert Roller's comment about defense should have had Anthony testify?

SPEAKER_05

I'm always uh yeah, I'm not a lawyer, I haven't been to law school, so I yeah, I hear I hear different things. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. I uh yeah, I I the one thing I'll say, maybe I'm wrong. Don't juries just convict and judges give out sentences?

SPEAKER_07

Yes, not hold on. I thought in this case the jury gave out the sentence because he went by trial by jury, so they wouldn't.

SPEAKER_05

But uh no, no, but the juries just say if they're guilty or not, the judge gives out 20 years, 10 years, five years. Um so if his daddy knew the judge, like to me, the guilty verdict made sense. I'm sorry, the guilty verdict doesn't make sense for a murder one. The guilty verdict makes sense for like a manslaughter or something like that. But if the judge is so handily in charge of sentencing and gave 35 years, I think to me, uh appeal should be relatively easy.

SPEAKER_07

Er hey, can I can I comment on Rollers uh thing? He said the defendant usually testifies, OJ testify, OJ, OJ testify, and they acquitted him.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, was that was that a self-defense test? That wasn't a self-defense case, was it?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, he did say an offense. He did say something.

SPEAKER_02

I think Ross gave Rob somehow self-defense, and well back to uh did a great job.

SPEAKER_07

Did did my guy uh did the guy that killed uh Trayvon Martin? Did he did he get on the stand? Because I don't think he questioned it.

SPEAKER_02

I had to look it up.

SPEAKER_07

I don't think he did. Um, and then think about this, and I and I'll go ahead and let y'all go. This kid got 35 years. The cop who killed Bolton John, and I think there were two other cases of police officers who killed citizens combined, only got like 37 years. Yeah, that right there is a travesty with our justice system that it just it to me it just does not make sense. If you are a police officer or you have the you know, I gotta be careful putting my words up here, but uh I will say that in this case, it's unfortunate again that this kid got 35 years, but you can look across the landscape and you see what people have unalived, you know, black people and even police officers, and combined, they don't they get a little bit above that combined. So that's a travesty model.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, uh just to add, uh Zimmerman didn't go, Zimmerman didn't go uh on trial or didn't didn't testify.

SPEAKER_02

I gotta use video evidence for that one, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

But that was the uh Trayvon Martin joint, but Zimmerman didn't testify at all. Uh what did Cockrow say?

SPEAKER_02

Maybe it was better he didn't say anything. So if there's an appeal, he's better counsel.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah,

Race Community Loyalty And Trial Fairness

SPEAKER_07

but that's a good point.

SPEAKER_02

So provocative question for y'all, provocative question. So am I correct in saying that the three of us all agree that Trey that Treyvon, that Carmelo Anthony should have been found guilty, yeah. Not a murder one, not a murder one, not a murder one, yeah. But we agree they should have been found guilty of something, yeah. Provocative question. Do you what do you think about because obviously Carmelo Anthony is African American, what do you think about the African community behind Carmelo Anthony strictly because he's black and said that he should not have been found guilty?

SPEAKER_07

So I I'll touch on this one. Um you know, I'm from DC. Um, I grew up, you know, in in the 90s, um, a little bit of the late 80s. And um, I know a lot of people you know who have been killed by people who look just like me. Um I think for people to say, well, I'm just behind him because he's black, I think that's a dangerous thing. Um I get it, but you know, we also as a people, and I say this as black people, we're not outraged when people like us kill each other in these manners. We are, but not to this extent. Um so you know, I've had friends that have been killed by people that look like me, and you know, it didn't get this much press. Um wasn't nobody out there mark marching for that. Not saying that people didn't care, but I think just saying that well, I'm behind this person because of their race. Um I think you gotta be careful with that.

SPEAKER_05

I I think you're saying it better than I would say it. Uh Philly, can you take that comment down? But uh I think you're saying it better than I can, but definitely I just think you're idiotic. That's the best way I could say it. And that's probably not the right way to say it, but man, you just you're not thinking clear-headedly if you just behind somebody because of a race of skin or because of the race. If my I don't have a brother, but if I did, if my brother did something like that, there's only so much I can support. Now I'd be supportive, but I ain't gonna go on camera and say just because he's my brother means that he's not guilty. Like that's that's outrageous and that would be flesh and blood. So damn sure, just because you're the same skin color as me or came from the same neighborhood, nah, you're gonna have to do a lot better than that, a lot better than that for me. And people that go on there and say that, I get why they could say they're probably outraged because of the jury. That's probably where their frustration is, and that's a way for them to say it, but that's crazy. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I can un I think Chuck said it perfect, perfectly. I think we as an African American, you you always see your brothers and sisters for years growing up, the different things that have occurred to them between the police brutality, the judicial system, the majority, you look at the statistics of how many African Americans are in jail compared to the other races. That's is mind-boggling. And then for all the stuff that African Americans went through in the United States, there's many of us to believe we never we're never gonna get a fair shake. And so when you see one of our own going up in this particular type of a case, you immediately, you may immediately feel like you're gonna get on the side of your brother and sister. However, in this case, it's difficult for me to do that because when I think about it, if I was on the jury, I would say guilty too.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Because I mean it's to me, it's clear cut. And then do I dare say if the shoe was on the fit on the other foot and the roles were reversed, and it was uh it was somebody, a white teenager that that shanked a black teenager, we'd be ready to send him up the creek. Right? So I look at it as is I know it's difficult because race always comes to play, but we've got to get to a point where Chuck mentioned is this we gotta get to a point where there's a midline, and we say what's right is right, what's wrong is wrong. 35 years is too harsh, too harsh. But unfortunately, Carmelo did something wrong, he needs to pay the penalty, but not 35 years. That's too harsh.

SPEAKER_05

Still a coward, but anyway, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I would for all those listening to this broadcast, broadcast does not reflect the views from unpopular celebrities, just direct them to Pete.

SPEAKER_05

That's fine. He's a coward, he's a coward, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Give me all the DC Pete. Yeah, I don't think he was a coward, he was a young kid who's like, look, enough is enough. I'm gonna protect myself. I don't see anything wrong with that. He just gotta pay the penalty.

SPEAKER_07

A 17-year-old kid who's still developing as a as a human being whose mind is still developing too. So Pete, I hear you, but you gotta understand, man, we're looking you're saying that from a perspective of you being a grown man who has had experiences in life, who has seen different things. So I can't use the word coward, I can use the word mistake. He made a mistake, and because he made that mistake, he had bad judgment, but he has to pay a price. But 35 years is just a larger for that. Yeah, 35 is great. 35 is great.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. All right, we'll put a

Senior NCO Photos And Uniform Heat Checks

SPEAKER_02

ball on that. Last topic Sierra induction or not induction, PME, CNCO Academy, pictures, graduation pictures. Do you need me to pull them up or you can pull up?

SPEAKER_05

Just give me one second. Uh gosh. Just give me one second.

SPEAKER_07

Uh, because uh there we go. All right. People in the audience and you in the military, you got friends, man. I don't know if y'all clutching y'all pearls because I know I was uh all right.

SPEAKER_05

Let me see if I can share these with my screen. All right, you should have them on your end now, so you should be able to share them with everybody.

SPEAKER_01

All right, here we go.

SPEAKER_05

Boom. All right, so save the I'm not, I don't think I can't see both screens, so I'm gonna have to just look at mine. Y'all tell me if y'all can see everything. But senior and CO has done these things for a while now. We saw the first one, we don't need to talk about, but I'm going to say some controversial stuff today. I already know. I cheated, I looked at the pictures. These been out since June 5th, so I cheated, I looked at it. Y'all can help me out as well, so it ain't just gotta be about me. First picture, I don't see nothing wrong with them. Maybe a couple pants are a little bit too big, but you know, I'm looking down here, my man with the pants. Maybe they're a little bit too big, but I'm not seeing nothing too crazy. Tell me I'm wrong.

SPEAKER_02

I think zoom back in the gentleman right in the middle. I mean, it could be just you know, got a little wrinkle right there, but hey, it could be he just woke up, so it's I mean, he just got up, so it's cool.

SPEAKER_05

He he had he had a uh a one too many subway subs. I won't say a Charlie sub, but a subway sub from the button popping. But like everybody looks decent, decent, nice, yeah. Structure looks good. Uh, like I always say, for some reason, the ladies always look better than the man in uniform. And I'm not saying like physical appearance, just the way they wear their uniform. Um I gotta I gotta admit, Pete man, that button is screaming on the ball.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

He's hurting. He hurting, but it's just a subway sub. It ain't a Charlie sub. It's a subway. He should have got a uh do he do he got a screen for the badge? Right here in the middle. Oh no, the partner over here does. On the like two over here on the left.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, okay. I think no, the other the other guy. This one right here? No, no, no. Go over next to the feet, next to the lady. It's in you. It's in the front. Right here to the left over. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

No, no, no. He uh he got a PME. Oh, okay, okay. Yeah, his look like it's fitted. He looked like he just sucking it in. He's a full inhale. Yeah. Uh not too bad.

SPEAKER_07

Doing your waist measurement.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. See, everybody put I don't know what my man is doing with his hands right here. He likes parade the opposite way. I don't know what that is. He's happy as hell to be there, though. So shout out to him. But not seeing any problem. They might have put the ones in the back. They might have.

SPEAKER_02

But I'm not the chief on the far right.

SPEAKER_05

What kind of pose is that? Her right here?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Look, I might say she.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, right here, right? On the far right. I mean, it might be your left.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_02

Next to the the guy next to the first sergeant.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, he's a cop too. What kind of pose is that? She's like at attention, but her eyes just got closed. She got. I might say she's the reason why these pictures look so good because the other chief fucking sucked. Because he didn't give a damn. I don't give a damn if that's your man, if that's your brother, if that's your son. He sucked. He sucked.

SPEAKER_02

The only reason he says, my man on the left just came off the too too legit too look too legit to quit video. Which one is that? My man on the left.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, we're talking about my brother right here. The first art. That's why I'm talking about the chief next to him or senior, whatever. Oh, because she's a senior. Oh, I don't. She's like, like they probably told her get closer, and that's just what she did. That's my guess. That's my guess. Uh, next picture. I'm not seeing. Uh, that's a nice uniform. I'm not seeing nothing too crazy. Pants are a little crazy. Pants seem to be the problem. My man with the full beard shouts out to the beer community. Uh, but the navy guy, I mean, there's a couple uniforms, a little long, a little big, but not too bad. I'm not seeing nothing too crazy.

SPEAKER_07

I'll say going on. What is going on with these pants, man?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, the pants is getting kind of outrageous. These my man here, he he's a little long. My man here looks like they're tailored. He looked like he got joggers on. I don't know what he got going on. It looked like he got the elastic on the bottom. So I don't know what's going on with that, but I'm not seeing my brother right here. He's squared away. His stuff looks squared away. Look like one crease. Very nice. Very nice. Uh I'm not seeing nothing too crazy at all. It looks like looks like the message has been my man right here, he looked like he got one crease. Like, I chu tell me if it's me. If I know I'm about to take a picture, I make sure somebody looks. What the fuck is she doing? Anyway, I make sure that somebody looks me over and I look somebody else over, like, hey, make sure I'm squared away, you know, knock some dust off your shoulder or whatever. Yeah, but ain't nothing you can do about them pants, though. No. Yo, what do you think about her in the middle with her pose?

SPEAKER_02

Kind of weird, but I don't see nothing wrong.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah, man. She got she got morale. She's happy. She happy. She's just happy.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

At least her uniform is straight.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I'll say that. I'll be like, put your dad hands in front of you like everybody else's. Be a part of the team, don't be an individual.

SPEAKER_07

And then she probably putting a two thumbs up saying, Pete, do I look good?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, if that's the case, you look good. I don't know who this senior is, but he's been multiple classes. I thought that was an instructor, but he's been in multiple classes now. So I don't know what's going on with that one. Uh oh no. I don't think you could stay, I don't think you can stay behind the COA. Uh, so we got a little issue here with the this coat in the middle. I uh it might, and he's a goddamn shirt. Uh freaking first sergeant. I don't know if it's just a picture, but where the wind gust was that swelled everything to the left. You think that's depleted dress coat?

SPEAKER_02

Oh man.

SPEAKER_05

I don't I'm lost. Come on, now I'm pretty lost with what's going on. And then you got my man over here. The top button is a beast. That top button is a mother effort. And then you got my man on the right, his top button. Those top buttons are causing problems right now. Hit the top button, those top buttons are becoming an equalizer. Oh my god. I'ma start calling them Carmelo Anthony's. That's what those are. The equalizer, the top buttons, Carmelo's.

SPEAKER_01

Stop the show.

SPEAKER_02

No part of that one.

SPEAKER_01

No. That's too far, Pete. Too far. We got we gotta move to the next one. Stop that, bro. That's too far, bro. Uh the top button. I'm telling you, this top button.

SPEAKER_05

This top button right here is causing problems for a lot of people. What is going on with the top button? So, this is my problem. See if you can look at my cursor. You see this dude right here, how high his button is, and everybody else's button's a little lower. I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

They caught they caught my man in the back, man. What is he doing?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, right here, he would he didn't, yeah, he didn't hear the and then the there's a person behind this person, you can't even see them. And then you got my man who's six foot twelve.

SPEAKER_07

You can tell he's definitely there. Uh who be posting these on here? Ain't nobody ain't nobody looking at this stuff before they put it up there.

SPEAKER_05

This is why we talk about it so much, because that is my question. This is their official website or official Facebook page. This is their official page. It breaks my heart. But I'll shout out to the chief over here. I don't know who she is, but I'll shout out to her because the other chief sucked when it came to these things. He might be a good guy. The other chief sucked.

SPEAKER_07

Look at May Man in the front with it with his fist down. Like Modesto. Hey, where? Fist down. Right?

SPEAKER_05

No, it was in the other one. Oh, it's another one. My bad. Let me go back. Oh, right here. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. He he say, Yeah, touch me and see what happens. That's what he's that's a touch me, see what happens, pose. All right, let me stop. And he's also a senior, so he's feeling some type of way. Hey, uh Philly, Philly, what's up with this stache my man has on? It's a cop. What is that thing?

SPEAKER_01

Well, your guess is good as mine. You supposed to be a command chief. What is this thing? I ain't no supposed. I am, but I ain't got nothing to do with that.

SPEAKER_05

Ain't no supposed. What the hell is that? I need him to let I mean his uniform looks pretty sharp, but I need him to let me know what is that unauthorized thing that you got on. And maybe it's authorized. I have no idea what that is. I'm sure I'm sure people in the comments are gonna flood me that I should know what it is, but I have no idea what that is.

SPEAKER_06

No, me neither.

SPEAKER_07

I'm in and I don't know what it is. Well, he a rope or something. I that's what I was thinking.

SPEAKER_01

Like you graduate.

SPEAKER_02

Uh who's uh who's uh Jeffrey Osborne in the front row to the left, looking to the uh right down the formation, right here at the end. Yeah, my brother, Jeffrey Osborne.

SPEAKER_05

Jeffrey Osbourne. You what he got his his jacket is hurting too. Look at his pockets. He got something, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

He got he got something, he got something in the pocket. Take everything. Hold on, Pete. Why the front of his pants look like the way they shape, like cargo pants.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, like the cargo is on the side, but it's on the front.

SPEAKER_07

What do you got in there?

SPEAKER_05

I mean, I got no way he got his hat in there. I don't know what he has in there.

SPEAKER_06

Hey, you remember the little you remember the little book we used to have?

SPEAKER_05

Uh oh, yeah, yeah, definitely, definitely. That's what it looked like. His pants are a little short, probably because he got all that shit in his pockets. It's pulling his pants up, his pants was hurting a little bit, but everybody, but all in all, everybody's looking very nice, very nice. I I'm I'm even being scrutinizing, but everybody looks pretty nice, except for that top button is causing problems.

SPEAKER_07

But other than that, Waller said that uh thing was the German marksman's badge. I gotta look that up.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's it's um yeah, okay. Over in Germany, you can well let me say this.

SPEAKER_05

That sounds made up. That sounds like uh uh Airman of the Court, uh Airman of the Month award. No, it isn't crap.

SPEAKER_02

You can earn it.

SPEAKER_05

That also sounds made up, the Boonebar. This sounds totally made. And I know I'm gonna get thrashed in the comments. Don't care. You don't know what the boon bar is. No, no, that sounds like uh dorm of the dorm of the month. That's what that sounds like to me. That's what that sounds like to me. But everybody's looking short and military, they're doing really well. This top button, this top button, and I'm telling you, that top button.

SPEAKER_02

Oh boy, right there, the uh fourth from the right. He's his his joint is tight.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, he look how he look at his face. He's holding on to deer life. That dude is holding on to deer life. It's like if he exhales, incoming. As soon as he exhales, incoming. Something, something's flying off. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Okay, maybe I can't see clearly. Do these dudes have the wrong U.S. insignia on? Because that looks like it has a circle. They all have circles.

SPEAKER_02

If it's a circle, if it is a circle, that's correct.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, the officers can't have circles. You're right, you're right. I know I'm gonna get thrashed in the comments.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god, what's up with the Marine? Yeah, he I oh is that hopefully he's muscular because he looks big. Pause. He gotta be muscular, hopefully.

SPEAKER_05

I can't say that I'm not gonna talk about the Marines because I don't want my ass whooped. So I'm gonna say nothing about the core. Hey, I don't want to talk about nothing from the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Triple E. I ain't gonna say nothing about y'all. Y'all good with me. Whatever y'all got, y'all got see, like this cop right here with his little, I know that's a little catam something badge. I seen that one before.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, yeah, what you call them? It's the um, I forgot what kind of badge it is. It's like you have to go through a competition to get it.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah. It's like yeah. If that Marine said, touch me and see what happened. What you doing? Well, I'm gonna walk away.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna walk away. I'm a about hey, I'm a about face. Baby fade to black.

SPEAKER_05

I might give myself my own command. I'm about and I'ma turn around. Don't worry about it. You got it. You got I don't want no problems. But everybody looks pretty sharp. This top button's causing her problems, but everybody else is looking pretty sharp. Not seeing a lot of, not seeing the problems we were with the other chief. I'll say that. I'll say it starts with him.

SPEAKER_02

Excellence in competition, that's what it was.

SPEAKER_05

Good for him. It starts with the chief. Good for him. It starts with the chief. Dirt bag. Oh wow. What do you think about these ribbon racks right here where they go four across and then start going up? What do you think about those? You think those are fine? Yeah, no issue with them. Okay. I think it's a little bit uh too much, but that's just me. That's just uh of course, Wallington is. Um, but of course, but of course, Wallington is Wallington finds ribbons that nobody else has ever heard of. He would find some way of putting a World War II ribbon on if he could. He would find some type of way, and he's a shirt, but he would find some way to put in some Bosnia ribbon on, some a protected the president ribbon on, hey, dorma the quarter ribbon on. That boy ain't been endorsed for 16 years. He'll find one, he'll find a way to put one on. If there's a ribbon out there, he's gonna find a way to put it on. Okay. Anyway, but yeah, everybody looks sharp. Uh uh, we can keep going bass here because congratulations to senior NCO. Hey, you know what? Congratulations. Yeah, it took 73 classes, but y'all finally got it right. It is not about how you start, it's how you finish.

SPEAKER_07

It took 73 classes, and um, about in about 72 of them, peace Pete was roasting the ass. Hey, but you know what?

SPEAKER_05

Congratulations to y'all. Look at this devil dog, he looks like he's ready for war too. That girl beside her look like she's ready for a nap, but he looked like he ready for war.

SPEAKER_01

He looked like he's ready for war. Ah man, she's ready for it.

SPEAKER_05

Look like yeah, I look, we've we scrolled through about you know 10, 15 of these and not seeing nothing at all.

SPEAKER_02

Everybody looks pretty sharp, everybody's that's not true because we caught some blouses or some jackets that look like they hurting bad.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah, you're gonna find your onesie twosies, but before it was everyday photo.

SPEAKER_07

But you know, this one. Hey, I bet you Pete ain't gonna say nothing about that maternity one. No, I ain't gonna talk about the moo moo.

SPEAKER_05

No, the moo moo's fine with me. I don't know too much about the boo moo. She wanna rock the moo moo, rock the moo moo. Even if it was messed up, Pete ain't gonna touch that. I don't ask you a shirt. Rock your moo moo. Hey, if you pregnated, rock your moo moo. Do your thing. Do your thing. Look at my navy doing the whites. Okay, okay. I'll see you in the whites.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, yeah, he was clean.

SPEAKER_05

He was clean on that one. He said, I'm coming ready. Unpopular celebrities ain't finna get me in the whites. Yeah, I ain't finna touch you. I ain't finna mess with you. Yeah, everybody looks good. Got the civilian back there, happy to graduate. All right, I'll see you, big homie. Uh, his top, his top is uh sit look, and it's always the seniors. Who is that in the middle? Wow, that's what we were just saying. Yeah, something with he brought you like you got a dress. I'll tell you, he looked like he just made seniors, he didn't have time to put the stripes on. He borrowed his big brother's top and was like, Let me throw this on.

SPEAKER_07

His top looked like the outline of an RPA.

SPEAKER_05

What the crazy man, I'll say, you know what? His top butt, his top button ain't screaming. That thing is fine, that thing is good to go.

SPEAKER_07

Hey, hey, you know what that looked like, Pete. His jacket when he got there was bad, so he went out and got one from the BX and get it tailored. The word of the day that was the that was the size that they had to get it.

SPEAKER_05

Exactly. Exactly. It looked like he did it. It looked like he didn't know he made senior, and they were like, You better have your stripes on. He's like, Oh shoot, let me go find senior mass server around here. Like, just give me your top. I'll rock with it.

SPEAKER_07

I'll rock. The lady at the BX said, We only got 52s. I'll take it.

SPEAKER_05

I'll make it work. They probably went to go get a tail. They were like, it's gonna be 300 and take all this material out. And I hope you ain't that big underneath. There ain't no way. There ain't no way you're that big underneath. But yeah, what? Oh, these are our D how my man with the screaming top is a DG. How? How sway is he a DG? Did we not do a uniform inspection?

SPEAKER_06

Man, DG just academic, Pete.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yeah, you're right. Yeah, yeah, he's smart. That motherfucker can't dress, but he's smart. Okay, he don't know his size, but he's smart. He a smart one right there. I would be so these are the people that you put in the back. You throw them in the back. You look at him and you say, bruh, like, hey, shirt, and he's a god dang shirt. And he's a shirt. Like this was disappointing. Philly, for some reason, I think this is your fault. But this is for some reason, I think it's your fault. His ribbons are covered up by his little the lapel. Like you just all kinds of jacked up. You should have gave that top to the senior, and you should have took the senior's top.

SPEAKER_07

That's what should have happened. He should have took the he should have taken the material out the senior's top.

SPEAKER_05

That's that's what shouldn't have happened. Uh, we got joint force here. All right, total force in full effect. Okay, I see y'all. They they do never take a picture. All right, everybody who's not Air Force, come up front. That's what they did.

SPEAKER_07

Look, that would that was the force that said, keep talking about us. We're gonna kick your ass, Pete. Yeah, no.

SPEAKER_05

This devil dog in the background here, the white dude, he looked like he's ready to whoop somebody ass. They talk about him. They said smile. You see, all the Navy people are the only ones smiling. The Marines was like, F that, we don't smile. My gutter, my gutny gonna see this picture. We ain't finna smile. We ready for war. Oh, we don't need to look at these. But shout out to the chief. Well win the NBA finals. Much deserved. Shout out to them. Jalen Brunson was MVP. Other final shout out to them. We talked about Carmelo Anthony and Austin Metcalf. Bottom line, unfortunate event involving two young folks. Lives have changed. Obviously, one pass, and the other one's gonna spend 35 years in prison. Hopefully, young Carmelo will have an opportunity to appeal so we can get an honest look at whether or not this is the right thing for them to sentence him to. And then finally, we talked about CNCO Academy Pictures. So a lot better than before, but um still needing some more help with stuff. So that's it. Can I can I say something real quick?
