Your host, Bill Krieger, is the Veterans Affairs Program Manager at Consumers Energy. He is also a Military Veteran and retired Army Captain with 21 years of service. Bill is also a member of the company’s Wellbeing Committee and Veterans Advisory Panel. The podcast sponsor, Consumers Energy, is Michigan’s largest energy provider of natural gas and/or electricity to 6.8 million of the state’s 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties. In 2020, as the pandemic was unfolding, the company realized the need to share wellbeing messages with its co-workers, retirees, and customers. Dominic Vasquez was a young, healthy Detective with the Saginaw, MI Police Department. Nearly a year ago he became one of the first people to be hospitalized with COVID.
