Jon is a hemp farmer. He and his wife Dawn run Appalachia Hemp Farm, a small family farm in southern Appalachia. His goal is self-sustainability, or as close as he can get. They (family and band) went out on the road a few years back in their home, which was a Schoolie at the time__a remodeled school bus turned RV. We talk about the incredible plant that hemp is, its uses, and more. We go on to yarn about family history, music and touring, synergy with the land, fulfilling work, life lessons, and he shares the tragic but fascinating story about why his father is in prison for life.
