Here we are with the first episode of 2021. Joining me on this episode is Katy Connon, someone that I've know for four years now. Katy is 29 and already a HR Business Partner, a possibly misleading job title as she actually leads the HR function for a training and apprenticeships provider in Blackburn, owned by the University of Central Lancashire.
The reason for asking Katy to talk through her career is that she's someone who I would categorise as being ahead of the curve in terms of where she is at in her career versus her age. You shouldn't define anyone by their age but when we look at society as a whole you can generally plot where most of us are at with our careers at certain stages of our life. And, for me, Katy is in the top bracket of high performers.
