This week Skye and Amanda read Sensitive: The Hidden Power of the Highly Sensitive Person in a Loud, Fast, Too-Much World and talk about authors, Granneman and Solo’s goal to destigmatize the way that society tends to see and respond to highly sensitive people.

The two discuss the true definition of sensitive, share a check list of examples of what being sensitive may look like, discuss the 3 types of sensitive and the 5 gifts that come with being a sensitive person. They also talk about the concept of overstimulation and how it often shows up in highly sensitive people. It all leads to a conversation about the difference between empathy and compassion and why it’s so important for sensitive people to learn the difference.
