Season 6 Sign Off
My student co-hosts sign off, bringing Season 6 to an official close. Never fear, I'll be back throughout 2026 with exciting bonus episodes.
[00:01] Kim Krawiec: Hey.
[00:01] Kim Krawiec: Hey, everybody. Welcome to the Taboo Trades podcast, a show about stuff we aren't supposed to sell, but do anyway. I'm your host, Kim Kravik. Hello, everyone. Yes, it's the saddest time of the year again when we say goodbye to yet another wonderful group of Taboo Trades student co hosts. Never fear. As always, I'll be back throughout 2026 with with some exciting bonus episodes. As we bring season six of the Taboo Trades podcast to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on what this season has meant. Each year, the seminar produces its own distinctive conversations, shaped by the students curiosities, debates, and willingness to interrogate hard questions about repugnant markets. This cohort has been extraordinary in that regard. Their work pushed our discussions in new directions and sharpened the way I think about these issues. Teaching this seminar is one of the most rewarding parts of my year. And walking into a classroom filled with 12 people who are genuinely interested in the moral, economic and legal puzzles surrounding Taboo exchanges is an experience I value enormously. Almost the energy they brought to the room, the seriousness with which they engaged the readings, and equally, the sense of humor they brought to moments when the material could have felt impossibly heavy. Before we turn to their individual farewell messages, I want to acknowledge how meaningful it has been to share this season with them and with you, our listeners. The students shaped every episode through their questions, their critiques, and their willingness to explore topics that are often uncomfortable but always important. Their voices are the reason this podcast continues to evolve. So, with gratitude for their work and for your continued engagement, I'll hand things over to the students for their closing thoughts. Okay, everybody, say goodbye to our listeners.
