This week, after a lengthy break, myself and Peter decided to cover a topic and a genre we both feel deeply about. Drill music is a dynamic genre of music, which in recent years has been demonised in the media through to policing. Exposing a reality that many people would prefer to be ignorant to, however, an artform which should be appreicated for its versatility despite its violent themes, glorification of violence and objectification of women. Tackling this subject took us on many tangents, which we hope bring you clarity and new opinions on the subject but also a laugh or two.

The best art is controversial and provokes questions about societies deepest problems and this is what Drill does eloquently and bluntly. Often over stepping the preverbial line, and meeting its critics. The criticims of this genre should raise a deeper question to us...What experiences would lead an individual to make such uncensored music? We don't attempt to be apolagetic for the lyrical content of this music, simply open an honest and very relaced conversation. Enjoy!
