NFL Free Agency Talk Part 2

SPEAKER_04

Guys, get your brackets filled out. You know, tomorrow's a big day. Tomorrow's the big day. Everybody's watching their brackets. Little do people know that they're probably better off betting the games individually. And you would probably win more money that way than hoping, hoping that you get your bracket right. But we won't tell them, will we? We'll just let the people play their brackets and then complain when the 15th seed loses again to the second seed. We'll let them, you know, we'll let them worry about that. Or we pick this team because we like their colors. We'll worry about those people another time. If you're really smart, you bet the games individually and you make the money that way. But hey, so if you were the Minnesota bike and you really thought you had confidence in JJ McCarthy moving forward, would you go out and sign Kyler Murray like they did as a free agent? Now Kyler Murray, excuse me, was released by the Arizona Cardinals. He became a free agent. He is able to sign one of those$1.3 million deals as a free agent, along with another QB who did so, and we'll get to him in just a little bit. So he's able to sign a$1.3 million deal with the Minnesota Vikings. So if you're Kevin O'Connell, you know what you got in JJ McCarthy. You saw what you had last year, and now you're bringing on Kyler Murray. Now, two shows ago, we gave you an in-depth stats about Kyler Murray of his downfield passing. Not his overall, not his overall passing. Just Kyler Murray and his downfield passing. We gave you 25 yards, we gave you 20 yards, we gave you 15 yards, and we gave you 10 yards, and Kyler Murray was last in every category. So you're saying to yourself, well, why would I bring Kyler Murray in? If I already know those first stats downfield. Well, keep in mind you do have Justin Jefferson, you do have Jordan Edison, you got Aaron Jones coming back, you got some good tight ends, you did lose Naylor to free agency. I'm sure he'll be easily replaced by someone in the draft with his production. But you do got one of the top two receivers in the league on your team. Unlike what Kyler Murray had in Arizona. So knowing that you're bringing in that, Kevin O'Connell probably said, Well, I know Kyler Murray has trouble throwing the down ball downfield. But this is what I was working with with JJ McCarthy. Out of 36 QBs last year, JJ McCarthy ranked 35th in accuracy, 36th in third down conversion rate, 35th in EPA per pass, 35th in completion rate, 36th in sacks plus interception rate, 35th in passer rating, 35th in TD interception ratio out of all QBs in their second season since 2015. JJ McCarthy ranked 48th out of 51 QBs in EPA per attempt. Only Justin Fields, Billy Zappy, and Dwayne Haskins were worse since 2015. 48 out of 51 QBs in completion rate. Only Anthony Richardson, Zach Wilson, and Drew Locke were worse. Now you didn't hear Kyler Murray in those numbers. Because Kyler Murray can throw the ball accurately to people five yards down the field. It's where Kyler Murray has trouble throwing the ball down the field. So now Kevin O'Connell will see if he can work with Kyler Murray. Remember, Kyler Murray had trouble with Cliff Kingsbury. So Kevin O'Connell is probably a step up in Cliff Kingsbury and you know running an offense, calling plays, etc. etc. So we'll see. See who wins the job. We'll see what happens. We'll see how Kevin O'Connell handles another QB situation. Turn Daniel Jones into a good quarterback. He turned Sam Darnold into a good quarterback. So we'll see what Kevin O'Connell can do with Kyler Murray. Maybe in 2027, Kyler Murray becomes a QB, retooled, different, better at throwing the ball down the field than he had if he would have stayed with Arizona. Maybe another team will benefit the coaching of Kevin O'Connell. And whether this lights a fire under J.J. McCarthy's ass or not, I don't know. He seems to think because you know they got rid of Sam Darnold that it was his jobs to have and he wasn't going to lose it. But Kevin O'Connell is willing to throw Carson Wentz out there last year. That's how bad he thought J.J. McCarthy was. You're willing to throw Carson Wentz in at your quarterback? Hell, Kyler Murray will get a shot. Kyler Murray could be probably playing Call of Duty with one hand and still throw the ball better than J.J. McCarthy had. So we'll see how that all benefits Minnesota this upcoming season. But Minnesota taking advantage of Arizona paying Kyler Murray's salary this year, and we'll see what they can do and maybe muster some offense and compete with the Bears, the Packers, and the Lions in that tough NFC North. Now, another quarterback who was released. Tua of the Dolphins. He was released, and he was picked up by the Atlanta Falcons for the league minimum of 1.3 million. Now, Tua was released, and the Miami Dolphins will now carry an NFL record$99.2 million in dead money over the next two seasons for Tua. Just think. You evaluated your roster, the new GM and new head coach from Green Pay, Jeff Haley. You evaluated your roster. You evaluated your QB decision, QB situation, and you decided to say, that's enough. We're out. We're out of the Tua sweepstakes. We don't want them. I'm coming in here and I'm going to bring my own guy in. And Jeff Heatley did. He brought in Malik Willis, who threw 35 passes last year. But Tua is gone, but they're left with again, as I said, 99.2 million dead money. Now, look at this, too. The Dolphins, of course, also let Tyreek Hill go and released him. And last year, they traded Jalen Ramsey to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This year alone, the Miami Dolphins in dead money will have three players totaling over$100 million. That's Tua at 55.4, Tyreek Hill at 28.2, and Jalen Ramsey at 20.9. Those three players alone are tallying over$100 million in dead money for the Miami Dolphins as they try to rebuild. And of course, I said earlier that they got Malik Willis as their starting QB. Now, one more thing on the Tyreek Hill. Tyreek Hill signed with the Atlanta Falcons. Now, do I think if I'm going to be one of those guys that's on TV and go on TV and say, oh, what a great this is a great signing for the Atlanta Falcons. They got Tua on their team. He brings experience, blah, blah, blah. I heard that so many times out. Because Michael Pag suffers an ACL. Here is the only positive thing I see with bringing Tua in on the team. Guy can't scramble and take a hit. Guy has to get rid of the ball quickly. I don't know how great of a quarterback that can be for you. But here's the only benefit of having Tua on your team. He's left-handed. Michael Panks Jr. is left-handed. You hear and have heard throughout the years of players saying when they got a right-handed quarterback and their backup is left-handed, the spin of the ball is different. And it takes a lot of getting used to of how the ball comes to you from a left-handed quarterback. So if you got Michael Pax Jr. on your team, you got Tua on your team. They're both left-handed. The spin is going to be the same. So their receivers and their players are going to be used to it. So if Michael Pax can't go at the start of September due to a torn ACL, if Tua has to play under new coach Kevin Stevanski, at least the players will be used to the spin of the ball and they'll be okay with him coming in after Michael Penny comes in and takes over that starting job. There's no way Tua is a starting quarterback just for the whole season for the Atlanta Falcons. I mean, Kevin Stepanski isn't that dumb, is he? I mean, he's not that dumb to do it two years in a row to himself with Dylan Gabriel and Shadur Sanders up in Cleveland last year. I mean, he was hired and brought on to be Atlanta's head coach for a reason. So you never know with this guy, these guys, you know? You never know. That's why I always say, why are we always recycling the same old coaches over and over again? And oh, my team's at fault for doing that too this year. But you know how I feel about recycling the same coaches over and over again. And this is one case in point. How is Steven Kevin Saspansky gonna handle the whole to a Michael Penny's Jr. situation down in Atlanta? Man, I'm curious to see. Now, on the last show we talked about uh a bunch of teams like really taking advantage of free agency. And uh on the last show we mentioned about how the Oakland Raiders signed a bunch of guys in free agency. And I said it's a copycat league. They saw everybody saw how New England handled it last year, and lo and behold, they got to the Super Bowl. So teams are like, well, you can do you can you can make it work that easy. We got a young quarterback, Tyler Schau and the Saints. Why don't we go out and spend some money in free agency? And they did. They went and got Travis Eaton from the Jacksonville Jaguars, four years,$48 million. They went and got guard David Edwards, four years,$61 million. They went and got linebacker Caden Ellis, three years$33 million. They went and got tight end Noah Fant, two years$8.75 million. They got punter Ryan Wright, four years,$14 million, and they solidified their run their need for running back with the Travis Eaton Eaton situation. Now, I don't know, Alvin Camara, he's lost his step over the last few years. You know, all the rumors that he was going to go to the Broncos with Sean Payton. Uh, once Sean Payton went there, that this never developed because of the cap hit that came with Alvin Camara and the money that he's owed, that this never transpired. So the Saints uh wanted to uh you know go a little younger. They already want to go with an established guy. They went out and got Travis Eaton. He'll be there to uh go with a Tyler Schau there as the quarterback. So the Saints, they feel like they got their quarterback after watching their QB play at the end of last season. They decided that they needed to go make a bunch of free agent moves, and their you know, head coach Kellen Moore uh will put these guys into his team and get that team going with the Saints. So Saints, they could be an approved team in a week. NFC South to go along with the Falcons, Buccaneers, and Carolina Panthers. So the Falcons making a splash in free agency. The other team that made a huge splash in free agency, Tennessee Titans. Did anybody see uh this week the new Tennessee Titans uniform? They are going back to the old Houston Oiler look. Of course, that's who the Tennessee Titans are. They are the Houston Oilers. That team that moved from Houston up to Tennessee, and they were the Tennessee Oilers for a year until they changed their name to the Tennessee Titans. They are going back to the old school look of the Tennessee Oilers. They got the light blue, they got the orange, uh the T resembles kind of the uh oil rig that's in the old uh Tennessee, or I'm sorry, the old Houston Oiler logo. So uh they kind of got this new look, the light blue with the white, an all-white, a blue top with the white. I I think I think it looks good. I think it looks good than those blue colors that they previously had the last few years. So Tennessee is gonna be moving into a new stadium, a new stadium that could host the Super Bowl. They are going with new uniforms, and they're gonna go all in with Cam Ward because they went out this year, and they, again, copycat league, they are doing the same thing that other teams are doing. They got wide receiver Wandell Robinson, four years 70 million. They went out and got the defensive tackle John Franklin Myers, three years 63 million. They got cornerback Awante Taylor, three years 60 million. They got quarterback Cordell Flott, three years 45 million, tight end Daniel Bellinger, three years 24 million, and they added quarterback Mitch Trubisky on a two-year deal. Guys like the new laugh track? Here's what happened, by the way. You guys probably heard the old laugh track. So I record these laugh tracks. Um, I get them off the YouTube. I get them off the YouTube. So I accidentally erased the other laugh track. I went back to look for it on the YouTube. And there are so many laugh tracks on YouTube that you just can't find the one you were previously using. I don't know why I didn't save it, I don't know why I didn't download it and save it and or send it to someone to keep it, but I lost it. So I had to do a search for another laugh track. And you know, you go and you search laugh tracks, you get the comedy show laugh tracks, you get the you get the sitcom laugh tracks, you get single laugh tracks, you get laugh tracks from certain characters on TV show. Well, I found that one. I thought that was pretty good for now. So we're gonna go with that until I accidentally erase this one and have to look for another one. So we're gonna use that laugh track from now on. I know it like kind of kind of pauses in the beginning when I hit it, but I gotta get used to that and see if I can time it correctly when I use it. But uh, Tennessee got Mitch Trubisky on a two-year deal. Of course, he was with the Buffalo Bills last year. So again, another team trying to copy the what the New England Patriots did last year. Young quarterback. Let's build around them. Let's get some free agents in here, let's get some free agent signings in here and get moving. And this thing Tennessee doesn't have a quarterback signing, they don't have a big-time flight receiver they're paying. They don't have a big time running back that they're paying. They're still as of today,$78.6 million under the cap. They still have money to send. They're gonna get a good pick in the draft, they're gonna get more high picks. This Tennessee team, I don't know about the coach with Robert Sala. I don't know if the coach moving forward. We saw what happened in New York, whether it was his fault or not, it's still a fall upon his shoulders. I don't know how Robert Salah is gonna do with Tennessee, but you see the direction they're going in. They signed two free agent quarterbacks. Robert Salah specializes in defense. They also signed a linebacker. So curious to see how all this transpires for Tennessee out there. Uh the Buffalo Bills uh made a splash in the wide receiving uh corpse uh with a trade. They didn't go over the free agent route, they went with a trade. They ended up trading a second round pick for DJ Moore of the Chicago Bears. Now, the big complaint amongst uh Filth and many of the Bills fans is that they got Josh Allen. They got this great quarterback. He doesn't have any receivers. Queon Coleman, Jesse Palmer, Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid, probably forgetting a few others. The Samir, Shamir, Shakir guy, whatever his name is. Not guys that scare you, right? Does DJ Moore scare you? Not really, but I think he's a better receiver than what they have. Did they give away too high of a pick for him? Yeah, probably, considering the money he's owed, 24.5 million this year. I don't know if DJ Moore is a$24.5 million receiver. He's gonna be now with Josh Allen. Josh Allen's gonna give him the ball. He's gonna be open. They're gonna get it to him. Joe Brady's gonna run plays, especially for DJ Moore. They got to utilize that. Was it a desperate move? I don't know. I'm 50 50 with it. I do think, though, that their GM Bean, I always screw up as First name, Billy or Jimmy or Bobby. I don't know. I always think of the Oakland A's general manager that uh, you know, the whole money ball thing. I always screw him up with his name. I can remember never the first name of the bean manager up in Buffalo. So I'll just skip it. But um I think it was a desperate move by him. I think that now he's really feeling the pressure to win. Uh, you heard remember the comments of when they let uh Sean McDermott go. Uh, they fired him and they went with Joe Brady. You heard the owner, Pagula. Uh, they're in a win now situation. Oh, I don't know why he didn't get rid of both and start fresh, but uh they just made a lateral move. They didn't go uh out of the way and hire someone out of the box to be their head coach. They went in-house, brought Joe Brady in, who Josh Allen backed. Uh, all the pressure this year is on Josh Allen. Uh they got his, they got him a top-notch receiver, whether you think he is or not. He's gonna be included in that discussion as a top-notch receiver, especially giving up a second-round pick for him. So, you know, they got DJ Moore, they got James Cook now on that offense. James Cook had a great season last season. Now you know what happens to guys that have lots of touches. You know what happens to guys next year. I'm not gonna say it to jinx it, but you know what happens when a guy plays the following season after having lots of touches. James Cook had plenty of touches last season, so we'll see how his body reacts this season. And I just think it was a desperate move by the GM. He knows he's under the gun, he knows he's under pressure, he knows he has to do something. He's said in the past, we got Josh Allen. Why should I have to do anything? Well, Bengals got Joe Burrow. Look what they did. They got two top-notch receivers. Pittsburgh Steelers have better receivers right now than the Buffalo Bills, but they won't have a quarterback. You imagine if Josh Allen had DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr. and DJ Moore? Whoa! Well, that'd be something to see that. This thing, the Steelers have two receivers, they don't have a quarterback yet on their team. It's just crazy how some of this stuff works in the NFL, isn't it? Um, so we'll just see how a Buffalo goes and handles that whole thing. But I I think that's a I think on a as a fan looking on the inside out of the NFL, I think that's a good move for the Bills. I think they'll establish uh Josh as a as a key guy to have a guy that he could have a go-to guy. I don't think any of those receivers now, Coleman, Shakir, Jesse Palmer, any of those guys, I don't think they were a go-to receiver. If you needed a first down and Josh E Boy had to throw to one of those three guys, I don't know if you could count on any on any of them. DJ Moore, I think you could count on. I really do. DJ Moore, I think you could count on, and hopefully he could get you uh a first down when needed for. Now, a bunch of other uh free agent signings out there. Uh the Bears and defensive end, uh Colby Bryant, a three-year, 40 million. I'm sorry, defensive back, three-year,$40 million deal. Uh the Commanders got cornerback Amique Robertson on a two-year,$16 million deal. The Bucks got Alex Analzi, two years,$17 million deal. He's the guy from the Lions with the long blonde hair, in case you don't know. Uh Buccaneers also got Kenneth Gainwell on a two-year,$14 million deal. Austin Hooper, tight end, went to the Falcons on a one-year$3.25 million deal. Uh Johan Dotson went to the Falcons on a two-year,$15 million deal. Uh defensive tackle Chris Tunga, three years$20 million deal with the Chiefs. Uh, the Giants signed the linebacker from the Bears, Tremaine Edwards, a three-year,$36 million deal. The Chargers signed tight end Charlie Kohler, three years$24.3 million deal. Bengals added some defensive help. Well, they had to. Uh, Trey Henderson uh left town. Uh, they signed safety Brian Cook to a three-year,$40 million deal. Seahawks re-signed cornerback Josh Jobs to a three-year,$24 million deal. The Broncos uh re-signed J.K. Dobbins to a$2 million deal. So all kinds of signings that has happened in the last uh few weeks. And that's not, that's just uh a little bit of them. Those are some of the ones that I had uh all written down here uh to go along with all that. Now, of course, after all of the big free agency moves after one week, somebody had to release a power rank. I'm not gonna tell you who did it. Because why would I tell you who did it? Because this is just the way too early power ranking. And someone had to do it. You know, someone had to do it. And I'm not gonna say whose power rankings they are, I'm just gonna read them. Number one. Or should I start at 32? How about we we we already know? Should I just go at number one? Number one, Denver Bronx. Number two, number three, Seattle. Number four, New England. I would never put New England number. And I'm not saying I wouldn't put New England at number four because of their Super Bowl performance. I just don't think they're the number, they're the fourth best team in the world. I think they had a good run. They surprised some teams. Uh Drake May was hot. Uh they got they got a few lucky breaks on the way. I wouldn't put them at I wouldn't put Denver at number one either. I I I we need to go back to that. Why is Denver number one? Regardless of what you think of Seattle, they just clobbered the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Their defense was outstanding. Sam Darnold was off great all season. 28 wins, regular season wins the last two years for their quarterback. Now I know they were both with Seattle. Why would you not have Seattle number one? What did Denver prove that why they should be number one? Why? Because their quarterback got hurt and couldn't play in the AFC Championship game. Number five is Philadelphia. I wouldn't rank them that high either. You saw what a mess their offense was all season. There's no guarantees that's going to be fixed in the offseason. And who knows where AJ Brown's headed at. Buffalo at six. You could argue that's a good spot, maybe a little higher. No way Jacksonville at seven. Buffalo beat them in the playoffs, and you only got Buffalo ranked higher than one one place higher than them. They just lost their running back, Travis Eaton, to the Saints. How could you have Jacksonville at seven? Baltimore at eight. Here's another team. I put my hands up in the air. Okay. They got a pass rusher. They lost all the rest of their good guys. And here's another thing people aren't talking about about Baltimore. Lamar Jackson wanted a contract extension done prior to the free agency. Well, guess what? That didn't happen. Guess what? Now you have an unhappy quarterback. Now I know down the line they're going to work something out. Whether he's going to get 60 million a year, 65 million dollars a year, 62.5 million dollars a year, more than Dak Prescott. I know down the line they're going to work something out. But how long are you going to try to work something out with him and have him be unhappy? Because you know Limar's all about the money and he wants the money. I don't know why you got them at eight. Number nine, you got San Diego. I just shake my head. 10, you got the Bears. 11, you got the Chiefs. 12, you got the Texans. 13th is the Lions. 14th is Green Bay. 15th is San Francisco. 16th is the Bengals. I don't know how you got the Bengals at 16. I know 16 is a is right in the middle of this league. And you would say that 16 would be 9 and 88-9. I don't know how you can have the Bengals at 16. You got a quarterback who is great, but hardly plays. A defense that's now even 10 times as bad. I don't care if they got the that safety they signed. They just lost their best pass rusher. I don't know how you can have the Bengals at 16. Washington 17, Atlanta 18, Giants at 19, Tampa Bay at 20, Dallas at 21, Minnesota 22, Pittsburgh at 23, Carolina at 24, Colts at 25. By the way, the Colts re-signed Daniel Jones to a two-year,$98 million deal. You want to talk about a guy so far who's on the same level as Kirk Cousins of getting deals and getting paid. Daniel Jones comes in at second. He somehow tricked the Giants into a four-year,$160 million deal. He played bad enough where they let him go. Minnesota picked him up. He got under Kevin O'Connell's wing in practicing and learned from him. He got on the Colts. He had seven good games before he got injured, and the Colts lost the rest of their games, and he turned that into another two-year$98 million deal. This guy just happens to be in the right place at the right time and happens to get lucky enough to win some games, and everybody thinks it's him. Colts still have Anthony Richardson. There's been talks of them trading Anthony Richardson. I know you just gave a boatload of money to Daniel Jones. Man, be careful. Be careful. You lost those picks trading for Sauce Garden. These quarterbacks don't grow on shelves. Be careful before you deal Anthony Richardson away. Be very careful. You don't know what you truly have in Daniel Jones yet. You saw him for seven games. Seven games. You don't know what you have yet. So very careful. But I think that's the right place for Indianapolis 25. Saints at 26, boatload of money in free agency. Titans at 27 spent a boatload of money in free agency. Miami at 28, hoping Malik Willis and his 35 passes and a new head coach is going to save them. Cleveland, 29. The Raiders spent a boatload of money. Francisco Mendoza incoming. Arizona at 31st. And as always, and last. Man. Another trade that happened that we uh didn't get to talk about also on the show. Dave Montgomery of the Detroit Lions got traded to the Houston Texans. No more whatever the sidekick is. What is it? Sonic and somebody, or I don't know what the goofy sidekick name is up there in Detroit with him and Jameer Gibbs. That is no more around. Because David Montgomery has now signed with the Houston Texans. Montgomery didn't like the lack of carries last year due to Jameer Gibbs taking off and having a great season. Now Houston, you know, which they did have Joe Mixon, which they did let go. He will now be down there in Houston sharing carries with Woody Marks. So Houston will now have its own. I think it's Sonic and Knuckles, right? Sonic and Knuckles. Houston will now have its own Sonic and Knuckles combination as they will move forward with David Montgomery coming in. So I don't know if that was the piece Houston really needed to help their team out. Great defense. I don't know if that was the key ingredient Houston was looking for to uh get their team going. Maybe like one of those little explosive players that uh you know uh make some uh quick moves out of the backfield, can catch some passes, it's pretty fast. I would have gone with one of those guys uh if I was Houston. Not a big guy like David Montgomery. But hey, it's what all you want, it's what your team needs, what you go out and get. So hopefully that uh all works out for them. Um another big free agency move was uh longtime Tampa Bay Buccaneer Mike Evans uh shifting coast. Uh he's going from the East Coast all the way to the West Coast and signing with the San Francisco 49ers. Uh uh nice move by San Francisco. Now, uh keep in mind Mike Evans has been hurt the last two seasons, uh, hurt his hamstring uh two years in a row, uh, missed several games last year and ended his thousand-yard streak of consecutive seasons of having a thousand yards. But he adds some veteran leadership, uh some veteran toughness to the San Francisco Fortnite. I don't know if that's what the San Francisco Fortiners needed. They already have a lot of veterans on this team. Uh George Kittle, who gets hurt off. Uh Christian McCaffrey, who somehow survived last season without getting hurt. Uh their big tackle, uh, Trent Williams, uh a veteran. Um, you know, they they got the uh the big linebacker there uh who was injured at the end of last season. He he is uh getting older now as his uh age Fred Warner. So, you know, got good key veterans who have been very productive NFL players, uh, all getting older in age. Uh, you know how San Francisco is with the injuries, uh, with the injury bug that they have seem to have every year. Uh made the playoffs this year, made the division round, uh, got crushed by San Francisco in the division round. See, again, right there. You think Mike Evans would have helped in that round? You think Mike Evans would have been the key into getting to the AFC or getting to the NFC Championship in that game? I don't know if that's what they needed. I think San Francisco needed to go a lot younger. Uh, maybe on defense. Remember, they're losing Robert Sala again, uh key part of their defense. Uh their defensive grouping was was great in games last year at times. So now you're here again, losing Robert Sala again to be a head coach somewhere. So you know that's gonna have some effect on San Francisco moving forward. But you know, bringing Mike Evans in, is it great? Sure. Is Brock Purdy gonna get him the ball? Absolutely. Kyle Shanahan fit him right into the offense? Of course he's gonna. But I don't know if that's what San Francisco exactly needed to be the team. You know where Mike Evans should have gone? You know, New England signed Romeo Dobbs. That was their big signing. They let go of Stefan Diggs. They brought in Romeo Dobbs, of course. Romeo Dobbs was on the Green Bay Packers last year. They brought Romeo Dobbs in. I think it was three years,$60 million deal. I think that's what it was, or four years, three years,$60 million, something like that. They brought in Romeo Dobbs. That's where Mike Evans should have won. It was up to New England. That's a team where I would have seen Mike Evans going. I don't think I think I know Mike Evans wants to get to another Super Bowl. That's part of the goal, and he thinks uh he probably thinks that you know, being a free agent, he could have re-signed with Tampa Bay. He could continue his legacy there. He could easily have done that. But I think when you get older and you've tasted winning a Super Bowl, I think you want to have that same feeling again and taste that, you know, taste those feelings again, have that adrenaline, have that excitement. And I think he thinks he can get there from San Francisco, but you're going to a tough division, or you have the Rams, or you have the Seahawks who won the Super Bowl. You're on San Francisco. You don't know what's going to happen with Arizona with the whole new coaching staff and QB turnover. You could have easily went to New England. I don't know what they would have offered you money-wise. You could have easily, the best fit for Mike Evans would have been New England. There's already two crappy teams in the division, new uh Miami and the Jets. You got to just compete with Buffalo. You could have easily, you could, your percentage of making the playoffs with New England has to be higher than making the playoffs with the San Francisco Fournards. Now, I just said when we did the power rankings, I don't think New England is the fourth best team. Right? But they could be a playoff team if Drake May seems to get some of that magic back and Romeo Daz can replace the same kind of production that Stefan Diggs was having. And New England continues that aggressive defense under Mike Rabel. They could be back in the playoffs. And I think adding a player like Mike Evans could have made them a legitimate, real legitimate contender in the AFC. But Buffalo would still be this stuck with DJ Moore and their mismatch of other receivers that they have drafted. So, you know, if I was Mike Evans, that's the place I should I should have gone and asked to go to as a free agent. But, you know, he's all about the offense. He wanted to stick in the NFC. He wanted to go with Kyle Shanahan. So we'll see if it all works out for him going to there. All right, folks, that's all I got for you on this show. Again, I appreciate everyone who tunes in every week to the show or every episode. All the new listeners. Uh, you guys are great. Thank you. Thank you for tuning in as always.
