We do an NBA champion, and that was, of course, a shout out to the host team, the Knicks, as they won their first NBA championship in 53 years. Everybody's like, we be the host team. Well, you know, I said that, right? Because I was bragging for weeks right here on this show. How they were gonna go to the finals, how they were gonna uh make it there, and then like a dummy on this very own show. I picked the Spurs and went in six games. Yeah, I know. I know. Pretty dumb. But got a lot to talk about. I didn't know if I was gonna come on after the historic game four and talk about that. And then I said, you know what? Let's wait. Let's see what happens after game five, because then they could win. I know game four was crazy the way the Knicks came back. And there's a lot to talk about just in that game. There's a lot to talk about in the game that happened last night. So we might talk a lot of NBA on this show. But of course, of course, we gotta have a few of these emails here. And we all know what these emails are about. And it's funny, the one email the guy wrote, I got a synopsis of what he means by that. And you guys are all gonna laugh. But first, your host. I gotta say, you keep telling these stories on this show what kind of person you are, and then your latest story of you deliberately missing a play in the outfield so that your teammate can suffer and end up losing the game. You know, host, you are becoming one of the worst people to listen to, and you shouldn't be on the air telling these stories at all. First of all, hold time not on the air, I'm on a podcast. On the air would be live on the radio. So I don't know, this guy thinks he's emailing a real radio person. This is a podcast. It's a show with the host. Again, back to it. You keep if you keep telling more and more stories like this, host, you're gonna lose listeners like me because no one's gonna respect you. And I'm constantly losing respect for you for the stories you keep telling on this show. Alright, all right, fair enough. Dear host, I find it funny your story that you told on the last show about deliberately missing a foul ball out in the outfield so that you could harm another teammate. You know what was funny about your story, host? You played right field. You know where they put the people in right field? They put the worst players in right field, they put the slowest players in right field. So by me, you telling us that you play right field, well, it just shows you that you were a lousy player anyway. All right, let me back that up. And I got something else to throw in there, too, about that. Let me back that up, folks. You guys ever watch Major League Baseball? Do you see the caliber of players that play in right field? Aaron Judge plays right field. Reggie Jackson played right field. You want me to keep going? Hasn't Otani played in right field? I believe he's played in the outfield in the right field before. Dwight Evans played in right field. Great arm, Dwight Evans. That's the host had a great arm. That's why he played right field. Hank Aaron played right field. So so before you throw the host under the bus about playing right field, why don't you go back and look at a little uh baseball history and look at all the great right fielders in Major League Baseball? The host is right there with all of them. I mean, if you were to name the 10 best right fielders, I bet you the host's name would be in the top 10. Okay, okay, okay. It's not that funny. But yeah, but you scare where a point I'm making is that you're making fun of the host playing right field, but then you don't go back and check all the facts of all the players that play right field. But then I got this too. I got this for you guys that makes this even funnier. So I came across this thing. It's a it's uh, for those of you we don't have video course, I gotta explain it to you. It's a picture of a baseball field, and it tells for position where they put certain kids and where the kid plays in that. For the catcher, it says they put the toughest kid. At third base, they always put the strongest kid. At shortstop, the best kid plays there. At second base, they put the smallest kid. At first base, they always put the tallest kid. The pitcher is always the coach's kid. In left field, they put the nicest kid. In center field, they put the fastest kid, and in right field, they put the slowest kid. So I know where you guys were all were going with that. So don't worry. Your host. Here we go again with another story of you either insulting someone, making someone deliberately cut down a tree, stealing things from golf courses, stealing golf clubs from driving ranges. And now here I find out that you purposely threw a baseball game because you didn't like a kid on your team. What else are we gonna find out more and more over listening to this show all the time? I'm just gonna tune in just to listen to stories like that. There's there's there's no one else that I listen to that has these kind of stories. And I'm starting to enjoy them, host. And I don't know if you're making them up to get listeners. I don't know if these are real, but they are funny and I do enjoy them. So keep it up, host. Well, see, there you go. Someone who was entertained by the story, but it was it was a true story. So I don't know uh, you know, what to say. It was a true story. I deliberately let a foul ball fall down in play so that the inning could presume, and the pitcher ended up giving a base hit so we could lose the game. I can't make it up, folks. And by the way, there must have been 30 emails just badgering the host on and on and on about what type of person he is, what type of teammate he is, no one would want to play with the host, no one would want to, you know, if people knew that the host did that, they wouldn't want to be teammates with him. There was one email saying that the how the host should have been taken into the shower and beaten like soap. What is this full metal jacket? I mean, come on. Nothing like that is gonna happen. People hoping that the the kid finds out that he's all grown up now, he finds out that the host told us on the show. What's he gonna do about it now, 40 years later? I mean, come on. Ridiculous. 30 years later, whatever it is. What's he gonna do? That's what I say about him. Jeez. All right, back to the NBA. Um the Knicks. Have you ever seen a team that was down by 10 or more points four games in the series and come back and win all four? Well, the Knicks just did that. Anyway, game four, they were down 29 points. They came back and won. I'll tell you the truth. Last night, the way they were playing for three quarters, I didn't think they were gonna come back. Because, you know, the other games, they got down early and they uh found momentum and they let that ride, and it just came back and they ended up uh, you know, prevailing and winning the game. And they took control easily of the other three wins. Even the game, they were down by 29 points. Uh even though they only won by one point in that game four, it seemed like they were in control of the whole second half, the way they were playing in that game. Last night this felt a little different. Uh, they were, you know, chipping away at the lead, and it just seemed like they were never playing to their potential all game. And Jalen Brunson was just carrying that team on his back. I mean, this guy's back this morning is gonna be so sore from carrying his whole team in that game last night. That was crazy. Uh, his performance, uh, what he had last night in that game to uh help the Knicks uh win their first NBA championship in 53 years. That was just a phenomenal performance last night by Jalen Brunson. In all series, uh when the Knicks needed a bucket, when they needed a play, uh Jalen Brunson uh just came through and stepped it up. And isn't it strange how the Dallas Mavericks didn't want him and they let him walk in free agency? And everybody uh who said that it was a terrible signing by the Knicks to give Jalen Brunson all that money. Remember that? Charles Barkley was one of them. I mean, I'm sorry. Shaquille O'Neal was one of them, and Charles Barkley was one of the few that said that Jalen Brunson was the best free agent signing in the history of the NBA. That's what Charles Barkley said. And Shaquille O'Neal argued with uh with Charles Barkley for years on their inside the NBA show. And last night Shaq finally admitted to Charles Barkley that he's finally right. Jalen Brunson is worth every penny that the Knicks gave out. And when Jalen Brunson signed the extension with the Knicks to remain with the team so they could keep core players together, he took a hundred million dollars less in his contract. How many stars, how many players in every sport would take that kind of financial hit to stay with a team they love to play with and be able to stay with a team that they want to keep together? How many stars would do that so they could keep the core of their team together? I'm saying none. Uh Mahomes was on that list, not anymore after his deal this past week, which uh we might get to talk about that on this show. But uh this uh a phenomenal leader, a phenomenal performance, and he earned every bit of that MVP award that he got last night from uh Mr. Barlow when Mr. Barlow handed it to him. Um he he just he embraced it. Uh he didn't know what to say in the interview afterwards with uh Lisa Salters uh on the court. He was just uh full of emotion and he just didn't know what to say. It's gotta be tough for those guys, right? It's gotta be tough for uh, you know, those reporters to you know ask those kind of questions to get those guys to respond to something like that after such an emotional game, an emotional series, an emotional playoff run for Jalen Brunson. And he didn't he he didn't have really have anything to say when she was talking to him. Uh but uh you know the the Knicks deserved every bit of it. Uh they they came back, they won, and Jalen Brunson carried that team. And they were getting screwed on foul calls all in that game. You thought Mr. Barlow uh had the the the uh the fixed in. Uh Carl Anthony Towns had five fouls. He eventually fouled out. Uh Oja Binobi had five fouls in that game. Uh just the nitpicky fouls that were getting called on the Knicks. It almost made you think that they were trying to do everything they could to hand the Spurs game five so that they could have another game and extend the series because they've been getting great ratings. They've been getting great ratings. Highest numbers since the last year Jordan played in the NBA. Highest NBA viewership since Jordan played in 1988. That's how well viewed this NBA finals was. And you thought Mr. Barlow had his thumb right on the button to hit the game six extension to uh get that out. But the Spurs, they just gave the game away. Like they did the other four games, they had a 10-point lead in. So you got to ask yourself the Knicks deserve to be champions. They won the games, rightfully so. But you gotta ask the question Did the Knicks really win the NBA championship? Or did the Spurs give away the NBA championship? You can't have both. You can't say both. Only one answer is correct. And it's gotta be what you think. Did the Knicks really, really win that? Or did the Spurs give it away? Can't have both. I thought you guys think about that. Um, I'm gonna say the Knicks really won that. That's my that's the host answer. And um, yes, did the Spurs collapse in uh all those games? Absolutely. But how many teams when you're down by 10 points, when you're down by 15 points, when you're down by even 29 points, even think about trying to make a comeback. Even think about trying to come back and win it, win it, not just win one game, win four games like that. How many teams you know even put have the mindset to do that? So I think overall, I think the Knicks uh came back and won the NBA championship. They won that for them. And yes, yes, the Spurs played horrible down the stretch in all those games. Uh just shows you what a young team they are. Uh failed to close out all those games, uh, crucial turnovers, uh crucial uh miss free throws, crucial fouls. Uh they did everything they could to blow that series, uh, and they did. But like I said, the Knicks to fight back like that, not only did they do it once, they did it four times. And to do that four times, they deserved that win to win that championship. How about the foul last night that wasn't called or was called and then was reversed? Because Jalen Brunson went up for a three, and Wemby came down and landed right in his space, stepped right on his foot, uh, had to be reviewed, and uh it wasn't called a foul, and it would have been a foul and a flagrant foul. It would have been Wemby's third flagrant foul of the series, and because it was his third flagrant foul, he would have been suspended for game six. Uh the NBA, uh the refs quickly reviewed that, and of course, Mr. Barlow had the you know secret phone call down to the ref saying, oh no, no, no, that can't happen. No, no, no, no. He stays in the game. Nope, no foul. We can't afford to lose Wemby. So uh, you know, Mike Brown and the Knicks were furious after that. Uh that call wasn't called, and that's what I sort of thought last night that, okay, I don't think the Knicks are gonna come back and win this game. But they ended up doing it anyway, and like I said, NBA champions, New York Knicks. Let's just talk a little bit about uh Wemby and the Spurs. How many times last night did we have to hear from those damn announcers? Mike Breen, who's the Knicks play-by-play guy? Uh Tim Legler and Richard Jefferson. How many times did we have to hear all game how great the Spurs players are? How great Dylan Harper is, how great the champagne guy is, how great Vessel is, how great Castle is, how awesome is Wemby. Yet, as they're telling us all this, as we're listening to this, the Knicks are winning three games to one, right? So how are these guys so great? The series is three games to one. Yet, here's these three guys telling us how awesome the Spurs are. They couldn't stop talking about how great the Spurs were. Yet I'm listening to this going, are we watching the same series here? The Knicks are winning three games to one. And the Knicks end up winning four games to one. Yet these three bozos couldn't stop talking about how great the Spurs are. Are those four or five guys I just mentioned good? Absolutely. Is Wemby gonna be a superstar someday? Maybe. And I'll give you my thoughts about him. In just a minute. But those guys, especially now, I you almost got to think Mike Green being the New York Knicks play-by-play guy and the announcer that he is. You almost gotta think that he was just doing it on purpose to show that he was not favoring the Knicks all series like he was. Because he's the main play-by-play guy for ESPN. Uh, he's been the main finals guy for I don't know how many years he's been calling the finals now. Uh it's got to be almost 20. So he's gotta be, he's gotta be Mr. Neutral. He can't be, you know, he can't be uh, you know, siding with one team. So I think he sided even more with the Spurs on purpose to show that he wasn't siding with the Knicks the whole time. But the other two, Tim Leger and Richard Jefferson, my goodness. Just shut up. Enough of you know lapping and you know telling us how great the Spurs were when the Knicks were clearly, clearly the NBA champions in this series. So to go back to Wemming. Here's my thoughts about Wem. Now he's young. So I'm gonna give him a little pass, a little pass of the way he played. But again, he's young and he's got a lot to learn. But let's just talk about some of the things you know Wemby did here. Big turnover in game one, big turnover in game two, followed by a brick to win the game. His shot selection in the second half of the fourth game was terrible. He was taking threes when he should have been inside. He commits all kinds of fouls, flagrant fouls that were getting overturned. And to me, to me, Wemby, I'm gonna say it, he's a dirty player. And everybody's like, oh, Steve's not like Well, why can't I call Wemby a dirty player? Have you seen the play where he tried to stomp on OG Binobi's ACL? Have you seen that? Go on Twitter and Google or search it. Go on Twitter and search Wemby stopping Ojib. He tries to stomp on his ACL in game four and barely misses it. You don't move like that inside the paint unless you're trying to hurt someone. And how about the series against Oklahoma City, where, if you Google or not, you know, go search on Twitter in this too, Google it, whatever, where Wemby whispers in two of the Spurs players, and immediately they go out and put hits on a couple of the Oklahoma City players. The same two guys Wemby talked to went out and put out hard foul, hard fouls on two of Oklahoma City's players. Wemby issued the code red, and those players went and did that. So there's all kinds of actions that Wemby does that say he's a dirty player. But host, you can't call him a dirty player. Wemby is just as dirty player as Draymond Green. I'm gonna tell you why Wemby gets a pass. Everybody loves Wemby. Everybody thinks Wemby's great. He gives interviews, he doesn't throw temper tantrums on the court, on the court. He has just as many dirty foul calls as Draymond Green. But everybody knows Draymond Green is a jerk. Everybody knows Draymond Green is just a piece of garbage. Everybody knows what kind of guy he is. Everybody knows what he does. He's just an all-around loudmouth idiot on the court. Wemby doesn't have that reputation. Wemby has this great reputation with the media. So, in hindsight, you can't say that about Wemby. But if you go and look at all the fouls Wemby Wemby's created and all the altercations he's been in, how about the elbow he threw in the series? That you know truck uh uh one of the uh Timberwolves players in the head. How about that? You don't talk about that either. So you could you could say uh, you know, Wemby's not dirty, but there's all kinds of evidence. There's all kinds of video of it. So, you know, let's slow down on you know Wemby's this a perfect player. And here's the other thing this guy's always tired, always tired in the fourth quarter. Now I know he's 7'6 or whatever, and how tall he is, and you know, you know, he bigger guys get tired easily, and he has to take lots of breaks. But the Spurs, every game, they came out firing. Big leads every game, and they got they got worn out. So you think they'd have a different strategy. The Knicks would come back at every game because Wemby's tired. In the big crucial minutes, Wemby can't be on the court because he's tired, or he is on the court, and he can't perform and play the same way as he did in the first quarter because he's tired. Jalen Brunson wasn't tired. Josh Hart wasn't tired. OG Binobi wasn't tired. Those guys still had the energy. Miles Bridges wasn't tired. Those guys found the heart, found the will, found the energy to compete in the fourth quarter. The Spurs couldn't. So that's either one, a coaching issue with Mitch Johnson, and you know, he got the team to the finals. I don't know if he's the right coach for the Spurs. I don't know if he's gonna be, you know, if the if that's what they're gonna do going forward, if he's gonna be the guy that they want to have in there. But you know, something's gotta be uh uh talked about the way they perform. You just can't say they're young, they're learning. Look at DeAndre Fox. He was terrible. Instead of dribbling out the ball at game four, when the Knicks are making that big comeback, he tried to score. And then he's making stupid plays last night in game five. And how fitting, right? How fitting about Fox. DeAndre Fox played for Mike Brown in Sacramento. At the end of the 2023 playoffs, when Sacramento lost, Mike Brown's press conference, he called out DeAndre Fox and said that DeAndre Fox was too slow and not making the correct rotations on defense. That's why they lost the playoff game. The very next day after that, they were exited out of the playoffs. Sacramento fired Mike Brown. How fitting now, Mike Brown's the coach of the Knicks, and here's DeAndre Fox still making stupid plays. Still not doing the things that he should be doing, and still hasn't learned from his mistakes three years later, and now he's making those mistakes against a team Mike Brown coached, and now Mike Brown's holding an NBA Finals trophy. And to top that off, how stupid is the host for last year on this very show? When the New York Knicks fired Tom Dinnable, and the host called out the Knicks saying Mike Brown is the worst hire. They should be hiring him. They're not going to make it any farther in the playoffs than they did with Tom Dinnable. And the host is totally wrong on that. And now the Knicks are NBA champions, and Mike Brown is an NBA champion head coach. That guy's never gonna lose his job now in New York. He's always gonna be the coach there. There's no way this guy gets coaches another team. That's his legacy now. The Knicks winning an NBA championship in 53 years. This guy's never buying another meal in New York for the rest of his life. None of those guys are. Well, that's gonna be a crowded behind the basket now in future playoff games for the Knicks. You know, 10 years from now. That's gonna be really crowded behind the basket on the Massive Square Garden. You're gonna have all those losers, Patrick Ewing, uh John Starks, Carmelo Anthony, all those losers sitting behind the net. Now they're gonna be sitting there with the guys who really won the championship. They should just kick all those guys out. I can't stand when they call those guys NBA legends and they're all Knicks legends. Knicks legends. They never won nothing. I'm glad they sit behind the basket and they let uh you know Walt Frazier sit in the front row at least, not at the one end. At least he's got a front row seat because he did win an NBA championship with the Knicks. So hopefully in the future, we see Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mike Brown, Miles Bridges, Carl Anthony Towns. We see all those guys sitting at courtside instead of a few rows back with all the other Nick old loser legends there. But man, yeah, how fitting is that? Mike Brown calls out DeAndre Fox at the end of a playoff series three years ago for playing like a bum, and then DeAndre Fox plays like a bum the whole series against the New York Knicks. And Mike Brown is the coach. Talking about redemption, talking about uh, you know, you know, winning the moment. Mike Brown has done that. And, you know, congrats to him. And the host called it out as a bad hire, but you know, he he won. He won an NBA championship, and you know, that's just that's just how it is. Uh again, you know, you might not you might disagree with the host's take on Wemby. But uh, you know, one thing Wemby needs to work on uh is cardio and some more inside moves. You know, instead of an alley oop and him trying to tip it in or dunk it in, how about some how about a hook shot? How about a Kareem, uh how about a Kareem hook shot? Why can't Wemby have that kind of a shot in his arsenal? Remember, the sky hook was indefensible. That's what Wemby needs. A little sky hook action. He'd be great if he had that. But Wemby needs some uh cardio and he needs to gain about, I don't know, 50 pounds, I would think. Uh even though he's tall, he still gets uh pushed around a lot. Hey, but the Spurs, you know, as much as I'm dogging them now, they keep that young core together. They're the payos guys. If they have a true leader like the New York Knicks do, and with Jalen Brunson taking uh a pay cut, some of those Spurs guys should take a pay cut to stick together. There's no state tax in Texas. They should be able to stick to stay together. They're getting more money staying there because there is no state tax. So they should use that to their advantage and stay there and you know keep that core of a team together. But they do, they may, they may need uh another head coach. But you know, that's just me. But uh the Knicks, well deserved. Congrats to all you New York Knicks fans. The host Knicks uh came through. I know I didn't even pick them. The host Knicks came through and won the NBA championship. So I'm sure uh this will be our I if I probably have a few uh tidbits here and there, keep on talking about the uh the finals, but I probably won't be talking about any NBA for a while until um you know we uh you know get into the uh free agency and where uh all these other guys are gonna end up playing uh during the offseason. And just one more stat. The Spurs are the only team in NBA history to have 76 or more points in the first half, 30 or fewer points in the second half, in any game, regular season, or playoffs. Of course, that was game four. Game four of the NBA finals that they blew that lead in. So, you know, it's great. Good stuff, and we'll be talking more about the NBA here in the future. Now, I know I went 33 minutes talking about the NBA. I still have a little Stanley Cup to talk about. I want to talk about Mahomes. I might not even get to that. I gotta talk about the whole Brandon Soresby thing. I might save that for the next show. I got an intramural softball team thing. And we still got the we still gotta go over to Jacksonville and Indianapolis Colt season yet. So I might save some stuff for uh another show. But first, uh Gabe six of the uh Stanley Cup Finals is tonight. And uh the Hurricanes look to wrap up and hoist Lord Stanley high in the air on the Vegas Ice tonight, if they could come through and you know pull it off and win this uh series in uh six games. I'll just say this about the series. As much as I can't stand the Golden Grams, they got some skilled players. And of course, I'm gonna pronounce all their names wrong, which is fine. Uh the Mitch Mariner kid, Jack Eichel, the Drofano fool guy, uh they're those three guys alone, alone are better than any of the Hurricane's best players. If you were to make a list of the 10 best players that are in the Stanley Cup Finals, I bet if I sat down and really looked at it, I bet seven of the ten guys are on the Knights. But the problem is the Knights are fully loaded at the top with skilled players, and the rest of their team is eh. Whereas the Hurricanes, they might not have the skilled players that the Grams have. But they play more together as an overall team, if you know what I'm saying. They're they're so all their guys are more equal together, and they make a better overall all-around team. Whereas the Grams, they got seven guys that are up here, and the rest of their guys are down here. But because those seven guys are really good, it balances out and makes it makes their run right now in the Stanley Cup Finals, you know, what it is, where they've you know, they made it to the finals with uh their interim coach, John Torrentell. So I like his I like his interview after game five. Uh John Torrentell. They asked him, um, are you are you what are you gonna do about game six? And he said that he's leaving all his stuff in the hotel room in Charlotte. His clothes, his suitcase, because he says they're coming back there. So yeah, I like the confits, but can they pull it off? Uh can the the uh unintelligent, low IQ uh Golden Graham fans pull their team through uh in game six on Sunday night. Will you guys be listening to this come Monday morning, knowing that the Hurricanes are Stanley Cup champions? Or there's gonna be a game seven Wednesday night in Carolina. So that what that will be the, you know, that will be the call, right? When you guys finally listen to this, we're already know the result where most of you start listening to this podcast. The result will be it. Will there be a game seven or will the hurricanes be champions? How about the stall guy on the hurricanes? How many face-offs that guy wins? And the he does it on the road and he does it at home. He just knows how to get his stick in there and win that face-off. He's like 90% of the time he wins the face-off. And why do the why do the Golden Grams constantly put Jack Eichel to do the face-off when he's at like 30%, whether he's going up against Stahl or not? He's like 30% of the time he wins the face-off, yet they keep running him out there to do the faceoff. And it's just amazing that the Stahl guy can win that face-off 90% of the time. Because, you know, and here's something the Golden Graham fans, unintelligent fans, probably have no idea that this goes on in the NHL, and I know they don't. So when there's a face-off, Golden Graham fans, the away team has to put their stick down first when the referee drops the puck. Now they do it so quickly, you don't know it, but the away team on any face-off has to put their puck. I mean, sorry, has to put their stick down first, and then the home guy can just bracket there with his stick. And that's supposed to be the advantage for the home team because the away player or he has his stick on the ice, and wherever the linesman drops the puck, then he can just jab at it with his stick and break it loose and get it out to one of his other players. That's the advantage of being able to do the you know home ice when you because you get to put your stick in last on the face-off. Um, you know, when you're on the road, you know, it's tougher because your stick's already on the ice, and then the guy drops the puck and it has the advantage of the home guy knowing where the puck is. But the stall guy on North or uh North Carolina, on Carolina keeps on winning it no matter what. So uh, you know, just a little uh hockey information for you uh Golden Graham fans who have no idea what the rules are. You just root for a team and think it's cool because you think it's cool to go to a game, but you don't know what you're watching. So little little uh you know rules uh lesson for you uh gram fans who uh you know don't don't pay attention to that kind of stuff, who think you guys know what you're really watching out there. So there's some uh guy running around with a sword yelling, uh, it's nighttime. So dumb. Oh man. You know, they they they play that, you know, where where I work, uh uh one of the nights that the the uh the uh game was play it, they play over the loudspeaker, they play the nighttime music and let it blare over the PA system in the building. You know, yeah, I know guys. I know. It's rough. It's rough. Yeah, so we'll find out what happens tonight in uh game six of the uh Stanley Cup of finals. Uh, in case you guys weren't paid attention this week, uh the Mahomes signed a new eight-year deal to remain with the Kansas City Chiefs. His eight-year deal is worth five hundred and four point seven five million dollars. The Mahomes becomes the first half billion dollar player in the NFL. He is now making sixty four million dollars a year. He is the top quarterback in the NFL. He now tops Dak Prescott, and now the next guy to sign is gonna top that. So when uh Limar uh decides to you know extend with Baltimore, or who knows, leave as a free agent? Who knows with that drama with that guy? Uh he's probably gonna end up getting 65 million a year. But uh, you know, Mahomes signed that uh deal a few years ago. Of course, the deal is now uh, you know, he's behind in the deal and he needs to catch up because he is one of the top three quarterbacks in the NFL, and he deserves to be top three quarterback in the NFL uh because of the all the games he won. And he's coming off a torn ACL. Uh still still says he's gonna be ready by week one. Uh, but you know, we don't know yet, but time will tell. But he's got a new deal, $64 million a year. And the way the salary cap is going up, uh, the way the salary cap went up this year, I'm sure it's gonna go up next year. And Roger Goodell says uh he wants to do rework a new NFL TV deal earlier than what the current deal expires. He wants to work another deal because he feels that uh that their money is not as high as it should be. What the networks are paying, of course, CBS, ESPN, NBC, uh, you know, all those channels. He wants to uh you know rework that deal to get them to pay more money, and that of course will go back into the NFL and into the teams and make the salary cap higher. So, you know, teams will be able to, you know, Kansas City will be able to work around paying Mahomes $64 million and try to keep and sign uh some of the current players they have on their team. But the Mahomes, the first half-billion dollar NFL player ever. And, you know, if all if anybody deserves it, the Mahomes does. So, hey, if he's getting 64, I'm just gonna throw that out there before we get into the Jacksonville Indianapolis Colts predictions. If he's making 64, what's Caleb Williams gonna make by the time he signs his extension? 70? Will Caleb Williams be the first $70 million a year guy in the NFL? You know, years ago, a few years ago when the NBA guys were signing those big deals in the offseason and all the NFL players were tweeting, like, we gotta rework our bargaining, we gotta redo our deal. You know, some of those guys making all that money in the BA. Well, now look at it. Mahomes is at 64 billion. I'm sure Cale Williams is gonna be close to 70, if not 70 billion. He's the only one I can think that, you know, if he has another season like he did last year, and I don't know if that's gonna happen. If Caleb Williams has another season like he did last year, he could very well be the first $70 billion player in the NFL. Now we got to go over this here. This is gonna be our final thing we do on this show. Like I said, I got other stuff that I didn't get to talk about. Uh, but we'll we're we're gonna come back and do another show. Obviously, we got to come back and do another show because there's just so much going on. But to finish off our AFC South, we already did. Uh the Tennessee Titans, we already did the Houston Texans. To recap that, uh, the Tennessee Titans over and under was six and a half. Uh, the host is going under this year with them at 6-11. The Houston Texans over and under was nine and a half. The host is going with 10-7 for them this year. I'm hoping that CJ Stroud could strain it out. And of course, I think that defense will be the same. Now, this Jacksonville Jaguar team went 13-4 last year. They lost the division round game to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. Their head coach is Liam Conan. Their leading passer was Trevor Lawrence with 4,007 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Their leading receiver was Parker Washington. He had 847 yards with five touchdowns. Their leading running back was Travis Eaton, 1,107 rushing yards to go along with seven touchdowns. Their leading sacker, Josh Allen, with eight. Their leading tackler, uh, forget it, Oakland Olin with 143. Their offense ranked 11th, their defense ranked 11th. Their odds to win this division this year, plus 200. The odds to win the conference plus 1,200. Odds to win the Super Bowl plus 2,700. Their 2026 over and under is 9.5 wins. Plus 122 to the over, minus 140 to the under. So the under is a big, not big, but the under is a favorite for Jacksonville to be under the nine and a half this year. Their 2025 over and under was seven and a half. The host predicted them to go six and eleven.

They obviously were way over that. And the hosts will take that on the chin and lose that. The host's 2025 record right now currently is one and two. The key additions this year for Jacksonville, they really didn't do much. Chris Rodriguez signed a two-year $10 million deal. They did lose Travis Eaton and Devin Lloyd. They did draft Nate Burkinson, a tight end. Albert Regis, a defensive tackle, Emmanuel Lewis, an offensive lineman. Remember now, they had drafted Travis Hunter last year. He only played six games. He hurt his leg, missed the whole season. So they will have him at full strength. Whether he ends up playing both ways, like he said, has yet to be determined with Liam Cohen, their head coach. Their schedule, as we go over it right now. Now, this is my take on Jacksonville. And I'm being honest, like we do with every one of these predictions every year. We try to be as honest as possible. I think last year, Liam Cohen and the Jacksonville Jaguars played over their head. I don't think they are truly a 13-40. Now, because they finished what 13-4, because they finished in first place, they get a first place schedule. A much tougher schedule than they have. So let's go over and see what the host comes up with. Their first game of the year is at Cleveland at home. Well, come on. That's a win. They go to Denver. That's a loss. They play New England at home. Win. Then they travel at Cincinnati. Lost. Then they have two straight games at London against I'm going to give them a win. But then they play Division Rival Houston over there. I'm going to give that a loss. Then they have a bye. They're at home against Indianapolis. I'll give that a win. At Baltimore on Thursday night football. Lost. At Tennessee, lost. At the Giants, I think the Giants are going to be much improved. We haven't gone over them yet. Lost. Tennessee at home win. At Chicago later in the season. Weather may be a factor. Remember, Jacksonville plays in Florida. Lost. Pittsburgh at home on Monday night football. I give them a win. At Houston, loss. At Dallas, Sunday night football. I think Dallas might be a surprise team this year. I'm going to go with a loss there. Washington at home at win. At Indianapolis, their final game of the season, I got a loss. I got the Jacksonville Jaguars, folks, at 7-10. I got under 9.5. I would go with under minus 140 on Jacksonville for the 2026 season. Our fourth team in the AFC South, the Indianapolis Colts. Their 2025 record was 8-9. Their head coach is Stain Steichen. Their leading QB was Daniel Jones, 3,101 yards, 19 touchdowns, eight interceptions. Their leading ride receiver was Alec Pierce, 47 catches, 1,003 yards with six touchdowns. Their leading running back, Jonathan Taylor, 1,585 rushing yards, 18 touchdowns. They also had 378 receiving yards. Their leading sacker, Latour, 8.5 sacks. Their leading tackler, Zaire Franklin. Their offensive ranking, 9th. However, their defensive ranking was 23rd. Their odds to win the division plus 380. Their odds to win the conference plus 2,800. Odds to win the Super Bowl plus 6,000. Their 2,026 over and under is 8.5. Over plus 22. Under minus 145. So Vegas loves the Colts to be under the 8.5 this year. Last year, 2025, the over and under for the Indianapolis Colts was 7.5. The host predicted that they would go 6-11. Another loss for the host. He starts off his last year on his over and under at 1-3. Their key additions, Arden Key, a two-year $20 million deal. Michael Clemens, a three-year, $17 million deal. Their big signings were re-signings. Daniel Jones, two years, $100 million. Alec Pierce, their leading receiver, four years, $116 million. Their key departures, Michael Pittman, traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Nick Cross. They did draft CJ Allen, a linebacker. They did draft A. G. Hawkley, a safety, and Jalen Farmer, a guard. Now here's their schedule. From 2025, they're seven and a half. Now this 2026, they're eight and a half. So Vegas only thinks this team has improved by one win. And they barely got over the total last year of seven and a half when they're only eight and nine. They started off seven and one. And they lost the rest of their games when Daniel Jones got hurt. And they even brought in Phillip Rivers. Now they do have a great running back at Jonathan Taylor, which is the offensive center round, but you've got to be able to have a quarterback that can throw the ball downfield. I think the loss of Michael Pittman Jr. is actually going to hurt this team. And I think more teams are going to focus in their defensive schemes and stopping Alec Pierce. You can take away Alec Pierce and just focus on Jonathan Taylor. Any of us close offense might not be as high profile as it was last season. They open up the season at home against Baltimore, loss. They travel to Kansas City on Sunday night football, loss. They're at Houston at home, win. At Washington, that game will be in London, win. At Pittsburgh, lost. Home against Tennessee, win. At Minnesota, lost. At Jacksonville lost. Dallas at home, lost. Miami at home, win. At Houston on Thursday Night Football, lost. Home against the Giants, win. Then they have a bye. At lost. At Tennessee, lost. Home against Cincinnati, a win. At Cleveland, a win. Jacksonville to find finish out their season at home. Lost. I got Indianapolis going 7-10. I got them under the 8.5.
