Matter of fact, as I'm sitting here recording this right now, this is a Friday, and I felt like, you know, I gotta stop doing shows uh, you know, every Sunday because the news just piles up. And by the time I get to do a show, there's just so much stuff to talk about that sometimes I leave stuff out. Sometimes I push stuff off to another show. Sometimes I just can't get to it and I forget all about it. Just like last week, the whole uh Soresby controversy with the quarterback with him out of Texas Tech. Uh, you know, he's now uh no supplemental draft. Remember, we talked about that a little bit on the show a few episodes ago, how Brendan Soresby was uh you know denied to uh be on Texas Tech. He decided to go into the uh supplemental, I don't know, not that he was denied from Texas Tech. He decided to go into the supplemental draft because he didn't want to deal with all the behind the scenes and all the stuff about him betting. So he went in to the supplemental draft. Well, the NFL said, ho, you know what? We're not gonna have a supplemental draft. Brennan and Soresbeat, his lawyer, threatened to sue the NFL. Good luck with that. See how that plays out for you two guys if you plan on doing that to go up against the NFL Giant. Uh, you know, that is. Good luck with that. Because you're not winning that battle. So Brennan Soresby uh will not be on any NFL team this year. He won't even be on a college team. And here's the other part. Since all this has come down, he thought he was gonna be able to uh just you know easily get out of team at a supplemental draft. Even the CFL now has come out and said they don't want any part of Brendan Sorsby being in their league. So Brendan Sorsby is gonna stout the whole 2026 collegiate season. He's gonna end up being in the 2027 NFL draft, and who knows who's gonna, you know, take the take the bait and try to draft him after he's not even gonna be playing a whole year. I don't care, I don't care what people say, and I don't care what your talent is, if you're not on the field playing, if you're not getting exposed to live action football, I don't care if it's a crappy arena football league, I don't care if it's some sort of D3 school, if you're not getting exposed to live football where defenses can mix things up, where they can change things on the fly, where they can give you different looks, and you're just going up and throwing patterns to friendly wide receivers that you know what the pattern is, you know where there's no defense cover, there's no pass rush. You there's no way you could prepare and keep yourself in game shape without playing a whole year of football, especially a quarterback. Maybe uh a receiver could get away with it, maybe uh uh a running back may be able to get away with it. Uh, some defensive players can get away with it, not a quarterback. You just can't you just can't sit out a whole year of football and not being able to uh come out and be the same person that you were uh a year ago. And Brendan Sorsby shot himself in the foot. One, should have stayed at Cincinnati, two, you know, obviously should have gambled on college football, $90,000 worth, keep in mind. But this whole thing is just unbelievable what has happened to this kid. And the best part is the NFL denying the supplemental draft. Poor Brendan Soresby. Boy, oh boy. And this thing, there was teams interested in taking him in the supplemental draft. There was whispers of teams possibly giving up a number one pick to get him on their team. Some people think uh Brendan Soresby would have been the best QB in this class if he went into the draft. So I, you know, I don't know. Some people have Brendan Sorsby on paper graded better than Mendoza that the Raiders took number one. I again, I don't know. I I saw both Brendan Sorsby play for Sitse last year, and of course, we saw Francisco Mendoza play for Indiana. He was there on the national championship team. It went undefeated. I'm not a big fan of Mendoza. I don't I don't see Brendan Soresby better than him. I don't know. I don't know. I'm no QB scout, I'm no QB, you know, evaluator, but I'm telling you right now, there's no way that Brendan Soresby is better than Francisco Mendoza. But some people think he is. And well, you're gonna have to wait a whole year to find out. Now, before I get into a few other things, there's always this that comes to my attention. Now, I've said before in the past that I get all kinds of emails. Some episodes, we go episodes, we go sometimes weeks in episodes where I don't read the email. But I gotta read this one. Dear host, I find your take on soccer to be disgusting. Soccer is a world sport, it unites fans together, it brings people together, it brings countries into your into your country, or if United States happened to be playing in uh a different World Cup in a different city, their fans would travel to that city and root on their team. How disappointing of you, host, to come on and mock soccer as as you were on your last show. It's a shame on you. Soccer is bringing unity to the world. A world where it's in chaos, a world where it's a war going on, a world in which people hate on each other, but yet soccer brings us to people, I mean brings us together, yet here you are, host, separating all of us with your comments, mocking soccer, making fun of it, thinking that you're better than soccer. Shame on you, host. I guess I thought I had a new podcast to listen to, but after your soccer comments, it makes me just turn you off. Goodbye, host. You lost a listener. You know what? Goodbye. You know why? We don't want soccer hooligan listeners listening to this show, and this is why I call out soccer, hooligans like that. Like I said, I got two guys I work with, they're all about the soccer, they're all in on the soccer, and I actually talked soccer with one of them this week about it, and they could be more cool about it than they, you know, than they should be. And they're great, they're great to talk to about soccer. I'm sorry, I don't like soccer, but I'm gonna talk about it because the World Cup is going on. I'm gonna make fun of it because I don't watch the sport all the time. I'm just gonna throw my comments out there because that's what the host witness, and that's what the host witnesses on TV. So I have to say that kind of stuff. I gotta bring that to the other listeners who are listening to this show because maybe they are watching soccer. And maybe by my comments of me commenting on the soccer, maybe one of our my listeners turns on the soccer and starts watching it. And now what? What, Mr. E Mailer? You have another new fan watching your precious World Cup. Man, you you soccer hooligan. Dear host, I gotta agree with you on your soccer takes. I especially like your soccer take about the goalie jumping around whenever there's a shot blown past him. I thought exactly the same thing. What a joke these soccer players are. They're always crying on the field when they get hurt. We had to have, I saw one game, host, where we had to have a stretcher come out for the guy just because he fell down and twisted his poor little ankle. For once, host, sometimes I disagree with your takes on when you watch sports and stuff, but on soccer, I'm totally with you. And I gotta say, host, you were spot on again about what I said this a few sentences ago about the goalie. Those goalies are the worst athletes on a soccer field. They flop around like they're trying to make a save, and they just look ridiculous in the process. Thank you for exposing soccer the way it is, host. See? See, Mr. Soccer Hooligan in the first email disagrees with the host. I'm not gonna listen to your show ever again. Oh, good. We don't want those listeners on this show. We want that guy who this emailed because then you know why? That guy agreed with the host. So what host? You only want people to you only want listeners to agree with you? No, no, I'm not saying that at all. I'm not I'm not saying that at all. I'm just saying, you know, it's good to know that not everyone is always against the host. That there's people out there that actually agree with the host. That's all. The host likes to have a little backup in his back pocket every once in a while, where he knows that the listeners have his back. And believe me, we don't get that that this much on this show right here because of what the host comments. All right, now moving on. I again. I can't even tell you how many soccer emails I got, but we're not gonna stay there. Moving on. Now that the whole uh NBA season is over, we are in full offseason NBA mode. And some people out there believe that after the whole NBA season is over, some people believe that the NBA offseason is more exciting than the whole NBA season itself. Because people love the trades, people love free agency, people love talking about who's gonna go here, what's gonna go here, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Well, the draft took place this uh this past week. And, you know, there's no sense talking about the draft because, you know, it's it's hit or miss now with these college kids that come out of college because you only have to play one year of college to be eligible to be uh drafted by an NBA team. So you get all these one and done players who think they're NBA players who didn't even want to go to college. They just wanted to jump from high school to the NBA, but the NBA put in that ridiculous rule um uh a few years ago, uh, you know, stating that, you know, that you know you gotta go to college for one year. This is what I would have done if I was at the NBA before I I get into the uh the trades here. This is what I would have done. And maybe, maybe this doesn't make any sense. Maybe people disagree with me. The NBA should have put a rule in for these high school players. You want to go to the NBA right out of high school and skip college? Go right ahead. Go ahead. See see what see where you can get drafted and see what kind of money you can make. Do it. Once you go, you're in the NBA, you can never play college again. You're you lose your college eligibility if you jump into the NBA. And you're in the NBA and you might not get drafted, or you may get drafted, but it it may be uh in the second round where you'll make no money, you won't make the team, and then you won't be in the NBA much longer, and you won't have any college education, and you'll be you know looking for a job. Or you can opt to go to college, but you gotta stay two years. Enough of the one and done. You gotta stay two years in college. You know, refine your skills, you know, make yourself a better free throw shooter. Uh, you know, you know, make yourself a better jump shooter. You know, become faster. Learn how to rebound better. Learn the game down with, you know, when there's tight games in college. Learn learn to see if you could overcome uh you know what happens at the end of games. You know, see if you could, you know, you know, put yourself in that situation and you know, be in a big college basketball game, be in a big kind of atmosphere. That way when you get to the NBA, you're ready for it. That's what I would have uh done if I was the NBA. But I have a feeling though, if the NBA did do that, no one would go to college. You wouldn't have any, you wouldn't have any college, uh any high school kids go to play college basketball. They all would jump to the NBA. You'd have everybody trying to get in the NBA. So I don't know, maybe the host's uh you know, rules or uh the host's strategy for college players to uh or I'm sorry, high school players to jump to the NBA right away or go to college, maybe the host is is not too bright with uh coming up with that scenario. But I don't know. That's just that's just something to uh you know think about. But I I don't know. Maybe maybe the host is totally wrong about that. That doesn't, the more I think about it, what that's pretty dumb. But uh I don't know. That's what I would do. But anyway, uh the the draft was this week, and before the draft started, there was all this talk of some trades that were gonna have. And the main guy, of course, was the freak out of Milwaukee, Giannis and Tapo Guruco, whatever his name is, his last name is Giannis. Um, well, he did get traded. He ended up getting traded to the Miami Heat. And he got traded for a boatload of players. Man, he had a boatload of picks on top of it. The Milwaukee Bucks ended up getting Tyler Hero, Keelan Ware, Jermaine Jaquez Jr., Kaspirus Jacanunis, three first round picks, a pick swap, and one second round pick. In return, the Heat got the freak, Giannis, and Bobby Portis, and a pick swap. So basically, the Miami Heat traded their whole team to get Guyannis. Now, I guess allegedly the Boston Celtics were also uh in contention to get Guyanis from Milwaukee. They had on the table Jalen Brown. They were dangling in front of Milwaukee uh with a couple first-round picks. That's all they were that's all they were allegedly offering was Jalen Brown, who himself is an all-star, who himself can lead a team, who, if he out of the shadows of Jason Tatum, would be your best player on any team. He would be automatically the best player on a team like Milwaukee, minus Giannis. So, and I think Giannis would have been more of a perfect fit for Boston because Boston can win right away. Now, of course, going to the Heat, you're in Miami, there's no state tax, you're in South Beach, you're with Pat Riley, you're with a great coach in Eric Solestra, but around you, you got nobody. So I think one right there, Giannis, made a bad move going to the Miami Heat. Because the Miami Heat are in no position to be an NBA title team. None. So Milwaukee, Giannis didn't want to be on Milwaukee, he wanted to be on a playoff team. So Giannis went from a team that could be in a play-in game to Miami, a team that's in a play-in game. He didn't upgrade his situation in any way. All he did is get out of Milwaukee and end up in Miami. And here's the thing. Now I'm not a fan of Giannis. Did he have a great playoff run a few years ago? Uh, you know, scored 50 sub points in one of the NBA Finals games, and you know, they went on to win the NBA Finals for a small market team of Milwaukee. He had a great run, but he hasn't played more than 60 games in the last four seasons. He's always hurt, and Milwaukee hasn't done anything since that playoff run. So how good is the freak? How good is the freak really? Is he worth trading your whole franchise to get him? I'm not a fan of Luka, Luca Doc with the Lakers, but he's not as good as him. He's not as good as players Luca. And if Libron doesn't go back to the Lakers next year, I guarantee you the Lakers will have a better record than the Miami Heat. Giannis now in Miami has no one. No one around. Now, there's pieces there, but you know uh the big guy, uh the you know who had 80 sub points this year, uh, a bayou, ma'am, a bayou, okay. He's almost the same player as is is the freak. You lost your shooter, Tyler Hero. You traded him to Milwaukee. You traded your two some young players off the bench. Jock has Jr. was one of them. Remember, he played at UCLA. And the guy that you need to have on your team, Norman Powell, he might not sign with him. Miami might not be able to offer him more enough money. He might go to another team. So your third best player, your point guard, the guy that you need to control the ball. You don't have him on the roster yet. Now they could sign him, they could be in the you know, next upper tax bracket, you know, by keeping him. They're his his own player, they're allowed to make an offer him, they're allowed to keep him, and then they would go to the second apron of uh money wise. But they got no money after that. No money. Now they could bring in some veteran players. That maybe want to come to South Beach, maybe want to play with the freak, maybe want to play for Pat Raleigh, maybe want to play for Eric Solestra. But this Miami team, they're going nowhere. They're not, they may not make the playoffs. If you look at the East right now, you look at the East, are you putting Miami in the top eight? With the freak? Are you putting Miami in the top eight? Well, you got you got Boston? You got Detroit? You got the Knicks who just won the NBA championship. You got Cleveland. You got Philadelphia. If Joel Bede and Paul George and Maxie can figure out what the hell's going on. You got Orlando, who just hired a new coach, young team. That's six teams right there. You got Indiana. You know, their guy. Albertson's coming back from his, you know, that toward ACL last year. He sat out all last season. That's seven. That's seven teams right now, better than the Heat. You got the Hawks, who were good last year, made the playoffs. They had it going down the stretch. You got Washington now, who's got Anthony Davis, Trey Young, and they just drafted the uh kid out of Utah. They might be better than the Heat. That's nine. I got the Heat at nine right now. That's out of the playoffs. And who knows what Milwaukee. They decide to keep Tyler Hero. They get some chemistry going. They got those draft picks. They hit on those draft picks. Milwaukee could be better than Miami. Wouldn't Milwaukee fans up there now love to see that their team is better than the Miami Heat. I just don't understand the fascination of the freak, Giannis. I don't get it. I know there's people out there that think he's a great player. Look, he says all the right things when he's interviewed. He's a great person. He's a great person off the court. We're not going to take that away from him. But I don't think he's that great as a bat as a basketball player. Again, he's always hurt. And if you think Miami's any better and any more of a contender after that trade, you're fooling yourself. Now I've been wrong before on this show plenty of times. And don't worry, people point it out to me. But I'll tell you right now. I'll tell you right now, the Miami Heat are not a better team after making that trade. Not this year. He's 31, folks. 31. Now I know NBA players could still play great into their 30s. Steph Curry is right now. Of course, Lee Braun is. Jordan was great in his 30s. I'm not saying that he he he won't be great, but those those days of him dominating the league, taking over a game, being the man, being the MVP, those days are over. And the fact that Miami, who does my by the way, here's the other thing with Miami. And I know they got Pat Riley there. Where does people think that Miami is this almighty franchise of a team? Did I miss something? They're not up there with Boston and the Lakers. They're not on that level. When you think of all-time great NBA franchises, do the Miami Heat come into your head first? They're going in my head. So I don't know where this is going to end up going. But I'm telling you right now, they'll never win a championship. They're never going to win an NBA championship. Not with the freak. Not with him. Now they're going to fill those seats in that arena. They're going to be able to sell court more courtside seats. They're going to be able to raise the prices. Probably. Probably. They got a big name now. Big draw name on their team. But as far as winning. Oh man. Good luck. Now, another team who thinks they're on the verge of you know becoming a threat out west. They've had some good playoff runs here the last few years. Two seasons ago, they felt like they were close. They traded one of their best players, Carl Anthony Townsend and Knicks, and brought in Julius Randle. They got the breadman on their team. And, you know, they thought they had a great team around a young Anthony Edwards. That of course is the Minnesota Timberwolves. Minnesota Timberwolves had uh you know two playoff runs. Uh they made it to the Western Conference Finals, and then this year they got beat by the Spurs in the semifinals. And people think that, you know, this team is just maybe a few pieces here or there away. So, started this offseason, what did they do? They got rid of Julius Randle, traded him to the Brooklyn Nets, and then they traded fan favorite and uh Kevin Harlan, the way he says his name, Nas Reed. They traded Nas Reed to Charlotte for Lamelo Ball. Now, Lamelo Ball is coming off probably his best NBA season. Uh Charlotte played, uh got into the uh play-in round, and they ended up losing and not getting in the playoffs, but they uh had won an exciting uh play-in game that got them into the next play-in game, and they failed to win that game to get them into the actual playoffs. But Charlotte made the uh whatever play-in playoff and had the city and town excited for the first time in probably what 15 years? The Charlotte Hornets were uh actually exciting to watch. Now, the problem with Lamella Ball, uh, he's a punk. Uh he's got attitude, uh, doesn't want to normally play all the time. You play on his time. Uh, he thinks he's a tough guy on the court, very talented. Has has you know, has a lot of talent that you could do well with. You know, he's on a very cheap contract right now. Uh, some people think that because he was eligible for a two-year $100 million extension. Some people think that Charlotte didn't want to pay him that, and that he was demanding that be extended onto his current contract because of uh the uh mini play-in playoff run that they had. So they shipped him out and they shipped him to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Now, again, Minnesota Timberwolves were close. They had a good group of players together that played well together. So, what do you do? What did the Minnesota do? They broke it up and got rid of him. Now, as I said, they shipped off Julius Randle, they shipped off Nas Reed, and the bread man, De Vincenzo, tore his Achilles. He might not even play next year. In exchange, now you have the Ant-Man and Lamella Ball and Rudy Gobert. Now you got some other young kids, young talent on this team that showed some flash in the playoffs with Minnesota, but you don't know how those guys are going to keep on developing next year. You're hoping that they're going to be on the same path moving upward. You're hoping that they're going to get better. But now Minnesota has made this trade for Lamella Ball, and I don't think they're any better. Now, I know you're trying to stir things up. Hey, you only made it to this uh Western Conference semifinals. You didn't make it to the even the conference finals, you didn't even make it to the finals. So you're like, hey, we're not good enough. We got to do something. And I like the fact that Minnesota's willing to make moves to try to get better, but the moves they made aren't the moves that made are making them better. I think they're making them worse. And I again, I may be totally wrong about this trade, as I am the same way as I am about the trade with the G-man, the freak to Miami. I think this is going to be worse for Minnesota. You got a guy with an attitude, Lamella Ball. You got a guy who thinks he's probably better than the Ant-Man, Anthony Edwards. Lamella Ball has been the man his whole career down in Charlotte. Now he's going to a team where he's not the man. The Ant Man. Anthony Edwards. How do you think Lamella Ball is going to respond to that? Now you know Minnesota probably knows that he wanted the two-year $100 million extension. So you know now Minnesota is going to go on the hook for that here sooner or later. And again, we'll just have to see how this plays out. And here's the other part Minnesota lost one of their bench assistants who took over the head coaching job for the Portland Trailblazers. So not only did they ship out two starters, and they're losing the bread man for a whole year, they shipped off, they didn't ship off, but their best assistant left to go coach the Portland Trailblazers. So who knows how that's going to play out for Minnesota? So two big trades in the NBA. And I don't think the two trades make either team that made the trade any better. I don't think it's going to help them at all. But again, the host could be wrong, and only time will tell. And speaking of coaches, speaking of coaches who are leaving and going to uh other teams, Dusty Mahey of the Michigan Wolverines. Yes, that Michigan Wolverines had just won the college NBA title. I'm college NBA title. Who just won the college national championship? Man, the host having a hard time here today. Maybe it's because it's a Friday. I don't know. Uh, you know, Michigan just won the collegiate uh national championship. He is leaving, and he's taking the Dallas Mavericks coaching job. Of course, Dallas just fired uh you know, Jason Kidd uh about three, four weeks ago, uh saying that they wanted to go in a different direction. And uh what intrigued Dusty May to come coach the Dallas Mavericks, of course, is Cooper Flag. And he also uh got to draft one of his kids that he coached this past year uh on his Michigan team. So he was able to draft one of his kids to be on the uh one of his own players be on his team. So Dusty May now will take over the NBA and take on what he has to prove in the NBA to prove what, you know, not only can I coach in college, I can coach in the NBA too. So I think, you know, what the rumor is that the NL NIL money situation that's going on in college sports, it's going on in college football, it's going on in college basketball. It is just so out of control that the coaches that are coaching these teams don't want any part of it. They don't want any part of it. These kids are coming in, they're demanding this, they're demanding that, they're demanding amount of money. And these coaches, these college coaches, are sick of it and they don't want to put up with it. It's it's the movie Blue Chips for real now. That's what's really happening with these college teams. That's what's really happening. For those of you who remember blue chips with Nick Nolte, where uh you know, player wanted a ma or uh uh uh a house for his mom, uh a player wanted $30,000 cash, a player wanted a new tractor for his dad, uh, you know, it was so on and so on. That's really happening now. That's whether that was true or not, whether that was happening in the past and nobody knew about it. Uh, I'm sure there were some uh dealings underneath the table. It is now full scale in front of everyone, and everyone knows what's going on it's going on. And these coaches who go and recruit these players and get some kind of a commitment, verbal commitment, and then the verbal commitment ends up turning into I want this amount of money, I want this kind of car, I want this kind of spending money, I want this kind of clothing, I always want this, I want my mom to have this, I want my my part of my crew to have this. These college coaches, they don't want any part of it, and they're just gonna jump ship. If they're a successful coach, they're gonna look to go to the pro level, just like Dusty May this did. Dusty Mae went from coaching a Florida team, making them to the NCAA tournament, making them have a winning record. He went to coaching the big school at Michigan. They won the NCAA championship, and now he said, enough of that. I'm going to the NBA. I'm going where even the bigger money is. I'm going to get the bigger money for myself instead of handing it out to these college kids. The amount of money I'm handing out to these college kids, I'm going to put in my pocket by going to the NBA. And that's what Dusty May said. So, of course, uh, as usual on these shows during the summer, we are going to continue on with our over and unders for our team totals. Now, we've already done two divisions. We've done the AFC South, we've done the AFC North. What division is going to be next on this show? Well, you're just going to find out here in just a few more minutes. But first, we got some news out of Detroit. Lions quarterback Terrian Arnold has been arrested and is facing multiple felony charges, which carry a potential sentence to up to life in prison. Oh my god. Go figure, a Detroit player. But everybody was against the host when DK Metcalf took a punch and grabbed a Detroit Lions family. DK Metcalf's the bad guy, right? All he did is went after an irate fan who was saying stuff about DK, about his family, and calling them names and stuff, and DK Metcalf went over to take care of him. But that that's that's totally wrong, right? He's not supposed to do that, right? You're not supposed to go after a fan when the fan is constantly harassing him, going from city to city doing that. And the fan just happened to be a nutcase Detroit Lion fan. Well, look in your own mirror, Lion fan. You got this guy who could face life in prison. Allegedly, it has something to do with he was at an Airbnb, and some people came in and stole his stuff, and he went after the people to get his stuff back, and he was brick. Look it. We don't know, we don't have all the details yet of what's happening. I get it, you're an NFL player. You're a great NFL player for the Detroit Lions, you're a cornerback, you're probably one of their better players. I I understand that. You're probably with your homies. You gotta act tough. But there's consequences in all of that. You gotta think sometimes. How about you call the police? How about you dial 911? How about you just not be a tough guy and try to act like some kind of badass with your friends? And you know, let the let the law enforcement handle the situation. But no, you couldn't. You gotta be who you are, and you gotta go and try to get your stuff back, and the next thing you know, you're arrested. You're facing life in prison. And all you had to do is just dial 911 and tell the police what happened. But now you're the victim. And where's the discipline of how to teach your player?

You see, the host sits here on this show. I just don't make fun of these situations that happen with the Detroit Lions cheerleader. There's a reason why I make fun of him. He's a cheerleader. And look, look what he inspired his players to do. He inspired his own player to go after someone with a gun, with force, and look what happened to him. He might end up life in prison. But hey! You know where he got it from?

Are they? Because you talking like that, look at the result now. You might have a player in prison. Because that's what you're teaching. But the host is always the bad guy for calling this stuff out and mocking this stuff on the show for the last few years. I'm the bad guy. See, it's great, right? It's great to have a coach, or excuse me, it's great to have a cheerleader who, you know, roots you on, who tells you you gotta be tough out on the field, who, you know, leads the way. But at the end of the day, look what it did. Now they might be out with one of their star cornerbacks, a defense that, you know, already could be hurting this year. But again, I'll say it one more time. The host is the bad guy, right? DK Metcalf's the bad guy. But we got a guy who might be life in prison for a team. Why? Possibly because he'd be listening to his stupid cheerleader. Hey, that's what happens, right? Oh man. Uh, other NFL news. Uh, the Atlanta Falcons are spending uh money uh again this offseason. They signed Kyle Pitts, their tight end, to a three year $54 million deal, uh $36 million guaranteed. So not only did they spend some money on Drake London uh this offseason, insuring him up, uh of course they went and Got uh Tua, they got Michael Penix, uh, they got Tua playing on the uh 1.2 minimum. So uh they got two quarterbacks who can obviously uh throw the football around. They hired Kevin Stefansky. Uh they're shoring up their skill players, and of course, in the spotlight now, the next skill player to be showing up on this Atlanta Falcons team has got to be BJ Robinson. He's gotta be next in line for the next amount of money. And there's something to keep an eye out with that BJ Robinson. Whatever he ends up getting, whatever he ends up topping the last guy, he's probably gonna make more in Saquon Barkley. He's probably gonna get more money than him. Keep an eye on what BJ Robinson ends up getting. Because the Lions are gonna have to shell out more for Jameer Gibbs after that deal goes out. So, whatever BJ Robinson ends up signing for, the Detroit Lions are gonna have to cough up more than that for Jameer Gibbs to stay on their team. So, you know, that's two skilled players on the Falcons. Sewed up on the team. Kyle Pitts. Does he deserve three-year 54 million? I don't think the guys made an impact at all on the team. He's just a name that played at Florida, who just happened to get a lot of hype and happened to be a top draft pick. He hasn't panned out to be uh the player that he should be. He was the fourth overall pick. Fourth overall pick in the 2021 draft. Has he played like the fourth overall pick? Not by my book. Yet here he is getting a three-year $54 million deal. This first two seasons in the league, he was not existing. He wasn't making any impact. Now, did he have his best season last year? Yeah. But he should have been already playing like that, especially being the number four pick in the draft. Now the Falcons are shelling out money to keep him for an extra three years at $36 million guaranteed. You know, maybe maybe they they found something. Maybe Kevin Stefatsky, you know, we'll use him. You know, Kevin Stefatsky is their coach. He made David Njoku look like a stud. So and David Djoku is not known to be a great player. He David Joku looked good as a tight end in the Cleveland Browns offense. Maybe Kyle Pitts will look even better the way his skill set is with Kevin Sabaski in Atlanta. And uh the uh top 15 picks in the 2021 draft. 12 of those 15 picks have cashed in on second contracts for a total of 1.33 billion dollars. So the first 15 picks in a 2021 draft, 12 of them have signed second contracts. Of course, Trevor Lawrence, number one that year, he signed a 275 million extension. We just mentioned Kyle Pitts, he was number fourth that year. He signed a $54 million extension. Jamar Chase, the fifth pick in that draft, 161 million extension. Jalen Waddell, who just got traded to Denver Broncos and signed an extension, $84.75 million. Penny Sewell, the great guard up in Detroit, $112 million. JC Horn, the great corner in Carolina, $100 million. Patrick Churtain, the corner in Denver, 96 million. Devonta Smith with the Philadelphia Eagles, $75 million. Number 11, a top quarterback in the NFL. Justin Fields. Well, he had a $40 million extension that he signed, of course, last year with the Jets. Micah Parsons, the 12th pick, 186 million extension with the Green Bay Packers. Rashad Slater, the tackle with the San Diego Chargers, 114 million, and Alzheimer Vera Tucker, a $42 million extension. Those 12 players have signed on with extensions. You know who the only three picks of the top 15 that didn't receive second contracts? You ready, folks? Come on. Who are they? Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, and Mac Jones. Oh man. Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, and Mac Jones. Woo! Three studs at quarterback right there. Man, you can't find three better backup quarterbacks in the league. Maybe you maybe you can. I don't know. But those and those three won't be getting second contracts. So that's pretty good. You gotta say, those those first 15 picks in 2021, that's pretty good. There's some good players right there. I just read off. Um maybe maybe everybody deserved it, besides Justin. But those are some good players there. Alright, we move in to our NFC East. That's who we're going with today to start our over and unders. I'm gonna start with the New York Giants. Now, from last year, we are currently 3 and 5 in our 2025 over and unders. That of course is the we started off with the AFC South. We moved in the AFC North. We were doing our first NFC division right here on this show today. We're starting in the NFC East and the New York Giants. The 2025 record of the New York Giants was four and 13. They have a new head coach in John Harbaugh, their leading QB from last year. Jackson Dart, 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns, five interceptions. Their leading receiver was Wandale Robinson, 1,014 yards with four touchdowns. Their leading runner, Tyrone Tracy, 740 yards with two touchdowns. Their leading sacker, Brian Burns, 16.5 sacks. Their leading tackler was Bobby Oki Rico, 143. Their offensive rank 13th. Their defensive rank 28th. Their 2026 over and under is 7.5. Minus 120 to the over, plus 100 to the under. Their odds to win the division plus 550. Their odds to win the conference plus 3,500. Their odds to win the Super Bowl plus 6,500. Their 2025 over and under was five and a half. Their 2025 record was 4-13. The host had them going exactly 4-13. I had them under a winner. Oh, the Giants a winner. Hey, Mr. Giant fan, I had your team 4-13 exactly right. What do you think of that? We haven't heard from that guy in a couple seasons. That makes the host 2025 over and under record at 4 and 5. Their key additions for Tremaine Edwards, a three-year $36 million deal. Isaiah Likely comes over with John Harbaugh from Baltimore. Three years, 47.5 million. Darien Reeder, their key departures. Dexter Lawrence, their leading receiver, Wandell Robinson, and Lordell Floyd. They drafted R.L. Reese, a linebacker, Francis Menigoola, an offensive tackle, and Colton Hood, a quarterback. Now, I got their schedule here. And I looked, went through it, and I think John Harbaugh is going to add some stability here to this Giant team. I think he's going to make them a better team overall. I think he's adding two wins to this team, regardless of how they perform on the field. I think John Harbaugh's leadership is worth two wins in effect. Now, what games that leadership comes through that he wins for them, I don't know, but I think they win two games just on his leadership. They open up at home against Dallas on Sunday night football. I got them losing that. Then they travel to the Rams on Monday night football, loss. Tennessee at home, win. Arizona at home, win. At Washington, loss. New Orleans at home, win. At Houston loss. By at hell yeah. Lost. Washington at home on Thursday night football. Win. Jacksonville at home. Win. At Indianapolis loss. San Francisco at home lost. At Seattle lost. Cleveland at home win. At Detroit on Monday night football lost. At Dallas lost. At home, win. I got them going 7-10. I still have them under the 7.5 projected total for 2026. I got the Giants under 7.5 for the 2026 season. I think moving forward, I think Jackson Dart gets a little better. Malik Neighbors coming back. They brought in all those veteran receivers. Of course, Odell Beckham Jr., they brought in Juju Smith Schuster. They brought in Braxton Berrios. Now, of course, all those guys aren't going to make the team. You'd probably got to say that of those three guys that Juju Smith Schuster has the best chance of making a team. And probably even Braxton Berrios because he's a special teamer. I don't see Odell Beckham making the team. That's just the host, and that's just not because I don't like the guy. I just think he's washed up and he's not going to make the team. But I think the defense is going to be better on the John Harbaugh. They went and got Termaine Edwards to solidify their linebacker corpse. They did trade away Dexter Lawrence. Okay. But they got those pass rushers. You know, what Thidabol. They got uh, you know, Burns. So I think this, I think, you know, if Malik Neighbors can stay healthy, I think Jackson Darrell will utilize him. I think he'll like the friendly tight end that Isaiah likely will bring. I think John Harbaugh will improve this team. From are they gonna be can here's the here's the thing, right? This is the main thing you gotta look at. They're over under seven and a half. They won four games last year. If you like the over, you think the Giants could double their wins? You think the Giants could double their wins? And the division with Dallas and Philadelphia. They got played a Rams. They got played that whole NFC West. Do you think they could double their wins? That would be the question that you need to answer for yourself. I don't think they can double their wins. So I'm going with the under at 7 and 10. My second team in the NFC East, the 2026 Dallas Cowboys. Last year their 2025 record was seven, nine, and one. So their head coaches again is Bryant Schottenheimer. Their leading QB is Dak Prescott, 4,552 yards, 30 touchdowns, 10 interceptions. Their leading receiver was George Pickett with 1429 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Their leading running was Javante Williams, 1,201 yards, 11 touchdowns. Their leading sacker was Jadavian Clowney with 8.5. Leading tackler was Shamir Jones with 91. Their offensive rank was second. Their defensive rank was 30th. Their 2026 over and under is nine and a half. Plus 110 to the over, minus 130 to the under. Their key additions are Jalen Thompson, three-year 33 million. Javante Williams re-signed Javante Williams to a three-year $24 million deal. There was no really big key departures that the Dallas Cowboys lost. All defensive players, a safety, an edge, and a linebacker. Their odds to win the division are plus 190. Their odds to win the conference are plus 1200. Their odds to win the Super Bowl are plus 2200. Last year, their over and under was 7-5. I had them going 7-10. They finished 7-9-1. Thank goodness for the time. Another winner of the host. We are now 5-5 at our over and under from the 2025 season. Now, this Dallas team. Very stubborn, right? Jerry Jones is very stubborn. You don't let Micah Parsons go. You know, got those all those draft picks. He used them on three young defensive players. Okay, so a lot of credit for Jerry Jones. They use the franchise tag to keep George Pickens. So you know the offense is going to be great. If Dak remains healthy, he's got two great weapons, Pickens, uh CD Lamb. He's got a they have a great tight end. Uh so you know Dallas is gonna put up points if again if Dak can stay healthy. The question is, how much will the defense improve? Well, they went from seven and a half over and under wins last year to nine and a half this year. They got the same issue that the Giants gotta play the NFC West. They do, however, play the AFC South. So let's look at the schedule. I rarely talked about this. At the Giants, they open up on Sunday Night Football. I got them winning. Washington at home win. They go to be the home team against Baltimore in Brazil. I got them winning that game. At Houston loss. Tampa Bay at home, win. At Green Bay loss. At lost. Arizona at home, win. At Indianapolis, loss. San Francisco at home, lost. Tennessee win. Win. At Seattle, loss. By at the Rams, loss. Jacksonville at home win. Giants at home win. At Washington win. I got Dallas at 10 and 7. So I got this Dallas team figuring out their defense later in the season. Those guys getting experience and then uh acclimating to uh the NFL style and getting in there. I got Dallas picking up steam, winning five of their last seven games to go 10 and 7. I think Dallas' offense is good enough to win 10 games this year. I think Dallas could be possibly maybe winning the division or being a wild card team. And again, that goes that goes how Philadelphia ends up playing uh this year. And you don't know what Jalen you're gonna get out of Jalen Hurts. So I got Dallas going 10 and 7. I got them over the nine and a half. So that's gonna be a tight one to see what happens with that. So there's the start of your two uh NFC East teams, Giants in Dallas. I got under with the Giants, over with the Cowboys. So that starts off our two NFC teams, and of course, you know, on the next show we'll do Washington and maybe I'll explain one day why we do that with Philadelphia. I know it gets I know it's a little drawn out, it gets a little crazy sometimes, especially when we're doing this.
