SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to the Bourbon and Breakthroughs podcast, where entrepreneurs reveal their biggest breakthroughs, both in life and in business. I'm your host, Chris Goodman, and I'm a life and business coach on a mission to help people change their lives and grow their businesses. On this show, you'll get to distill your own life-changing lessons from my friends, clients, and the best entrepreneurs around the world. During our conversation, we feature and taste a new or notable bourbon or something like it and raise a glass to personal development, business growth, and squeezing every drop out of life. So whether you're a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting out, join us for this episode of bourbon and breakthroughs. Cheers. Hey everyone, welcome back to Bourbon and Breakthroughs. A little bit of a bittersweet episode today because I'm announcing that I'm actually pausing this podcast for the second time. The first pause was last year. I just had a lot going on and decided that it wasn't my one thing at the time. This time, I don't know when I'm going to restart the podcast. So it's a potentially a month's long pause, a potentially years long pause. And here's why. I love this show. I love getting to interview the guests that I have on. I love the whole bourbon aspect that I've brought on in the last year or so. I love that we fold that into the live event, the bourbon and breakthroughs live event that I do in Louisville, Kentucky. I love hearing people implementing some of the things that we talk about or some of the pieces of advice that my guests offer. and how it's changing their lives and their businesses. I love all of that. Things that I don't love behind the scenes right now are how much time it's taking from my work and my family and that I'm not able to produce this show in a way that I'm happy with right now to put the marketing, the video value and production value behind it that I really think it's capable of. And if you know anything about me, I want to do it right if I'm going to do it at all. So right now, I don't feel like I'm doing the show right. I feel like it's a distraction from my bigger goals and not in a bad way or a problematic way, just like a, hey, this is just where I'm at with it. And I was talking with a friend a couple of weeks ago and he said, man, I really appreciate that you just let your business evolve as it needs to. You are not so hardcore with any one thing in your business that it's going to, that you have to do it even at the expense of your family time or your happiness or anything else. Like you just roll with it. And if you want to shut something down, you do. That's really what I'm doing again here. I experimented with this last year and it worked. I'm going to do it again. So I apologize if anybody is really hardcore into the show and gobbles up every episode. If you want some extra resources while this show is on pause, email me at Chris at GoodmanCoachingInc.com. So it's C-H-R-I-S at GoodmanCoachingInc.com. And let me know what you're looking for. And in lieu of these episodes, I will point you towards something that will help you. Coaching books, other podcasts, friends of mine in the personal growth or business development space, because I do intend to still be here for you guys. It's just the podcast won't be for a little bit. So while even though the podcast will be paused, three other things will continue on that you can still work with me in. Number one, one-on-one coaching. So that is reserved for business owners who are in the two to$5 million revenue range. If you're really close to that or you're right outside that, that's not a problem. You can always go to goodmancoachinginc.com and click the work with me button to set up a conversation with me and let's see if it's a fit for one-on-one coaching. You can also get into breakthrough coaching, which you would go to the same place. You would go to goodmancoachinginc.com and click the work with me button. By filling out that application, you're going to tell me what you're looking for. But the difference between my one-on-one coaching and breakthrough coaching is very simple. Breakthrough coaching, we built that whole program because several people were interested in getting their first experience with life coaching or their first experience with they think they want to start a business and they're not necessarily generating revenue yet. they want to get started. So this is the entry-level program. In breakthrough coaching, you don't coach with me directly very often. You work with a coach that I've trained and who has decades of experience. So those are the first two options, one-on-one coaching with me, breakthrough coaching for entry-level coaching, and then number three, the live event. So the Bourbon and Breakthroughs brand is still living and breathing in the live event space. I do this Honestly, whenever the calendar allows me to do this. So it might be once a year, it might be three times a year or four times a year. Right now it's held in Louisville, Kentucky. We are building a version of it that will be able to go on the road to different cities. Right now, this is a way to come in and spend a full day coaching with me, hearing from some of the entrepreneurs that have a ton of value to provide in terms of a panel discussion, Q&A, or an interview where I just grill them for a half hour or an hour in front of you and extract their brilliance for you. You get... Real-time coaching, real-time masterminding with like-minded business owners. And then we do a bunch of bourbon things, like we taste rare bourbons. Last time we did a flight of five or even six rare bourbons, including a unicorn bourbon, one that is literally going extinct. People will never be able to try this bourbon again soon. And we do a fantastic dinner. desserts, cocktail hour after all is said and done. And then the second day we go out and we tour distilleries. So you're getting to hang out with the people you made friends with yesterday and getting to do the whole sensory experience of walking through rickhouses and seeing and feeling and smelling these bourbon barrels as they age and tasting the bourbon straight from the barrel at one of our favorite distillers, Old Louisville Whiskey Company. You get to do once in a lifetime type of bourbon oriented things. So if that's interesting to you, email me, chris at goodmancoachinginc.com because we're about ready to confirm the dates for the next one. We're looking at June 7th and 8th, 2024. And we'll say it's not confirmed just yet because we have to get the distilleries on board, but we're really close. We're probably less than a week away from that. So if you're interested in that, you know how to get me, right? Go to the website, goodmancoachinginc.com, click on work with me, fill out the questions there and you'll get me directly or shoot me an email. So listen, I want to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to listen to even one episode. And especially if you shared that episode with somebody else, because that means the world to me that you found some value in this and you were willing to take a stand for someone else and say, hey, I think you should listen to this too. And if you're in a position where you have a platform or a group or a business where you would like me to get involved, come speak, be a guest on your podcast, for instance, just let me know. I'm really looking forward to a new season of service where I can offer more time, the time that I would put toward this podcast. I'm going to plug right back into client service and guest appearances. So if you're interested in that, do reach out. Now, I'm not one for sappy, long-winded goodbyes, so let's just do this. It's really not goodbye. It's to be continued, right? It's see you later, because I do think there will be a bigger, better, badder version of Bourbon and Breakthroughs, the podcast, in the future. Until then, though, everyone, cheers, y'all, and thank you again. Thanks for listening to the Bourbon and Breakthroughs podcast. If you enjoyed this episode... Please do me a quick favor. It would mean the world to me and it would help us book better and better guests every week. Take just a second. Make sure you're subscribed to the podcast and leave us a quick review of the show. Thanks again and cheers to your own breakthroughs.
