If you've been trying to stop drinking alcohol and you found it hard and you've struggled and there's been cravings and you're not exactly where you want to be, it's okay. And I want to tell you why. So when I drank, it was it was painful because I wanted to change. And I always knew in my heart that what I was doing was wrong. I always had this conscience of like, I don't want to do this, but I kept doing it. And I'd wake up the next day like, never again, never again. That's it. This time I'm serious, I'm gonna change my life, I'm not gonna drink next day, next week, whatever, next hour sometimes, I'm drinking again. And it was this sad, sad cycle. And I wanted to make this video because sometimes you can just feel like eff it, right? What's the point? Who cares? You know, if it's gonna be this hard, I might as well just give up. And that is the worst thing that you can do. I think that if you met me when I was drinking alcohol and you went out into a night, you know, into a nightlife with me, and we drank together, you would probably thought I was gonna die. You'd have probably thought that this guy he's gonna say something to the wrong person, he's gonna binge himself to death. I don't think you'd have ever thought that I would have become sober Leon. Sober Leon. I I don't see myself as sober Leon, but you know what I mean. You know, I've I've worked with people who have tried everything. They've tried rehab, they've tried AA, they've tried reading books, they've tried stopping alone, they've even tried other stop drinking programs. And then I'm not trying to make this promotional, I'm just there's a message here, I'm not trying to promote anything. But they come to me and they're skeptical. They're like, I don't even know if it's gonna work, I don't think it's gonna work. I've tried everything already. And they do my program and it works. And let me explain why this is important. It's not about whether you do my program or not. Why are those people now successful and so many people still struggle? And if you ask me, it's because society has got it backwards. Most people fail to stop drinking alcohol because the methods are totally broken. I write about this in my book in a 48-hour alcohol reset where you know, really talk about the the broken solutions, the medication, the rehab, AA, willpower therapy. Nothing really works. And it don't get me wrong, I'm probably someone's gonna comment, I've not drunk for 20 years of AA, and yeah, sure, that I'm not saying they don't work, I'm talking about on a societal level, these things have got sub-10% success rates. Maybe rehab's a little bit higher, they say it's higher, but who knows, right? So, what's the difference between those people who struggle and struggle and struggle and those that break free? Because I was that person that struggled and struggled, but I managed to break free. You know, I've seen so many people struggle and break free, and the only thing that's different between them was their attitude, right? So I remember reading this book, uh, and it was Brian Tracy, classic self-help book, classic personal development author. I love that guy. I'd love to meet him. And he would always say it was uh like your talent and your hard and your skills. I think it was like talent plus hard work times attitude equals success. And I remember reading that when I was like 17 or 16 years of age, and he just said, like, your attitude is everything in life, it's the amplifying effect. You could be super talented, but have this awful attitude, this negative outlook, no goals, no ambition, and you're gonna get nowhere. I know people like this, some of the most I I I I know some seriously talented people that they just never used it because they didn't have that attitude. So going back to uh the people that stopped drinking successfully, what do they have different? And it's the attitude of I will give it another go. I'm not giving up. I'm not giving up, I'm not gonna let this thing ruin my life and kill me and put me in an early grave. Because it happens, you know, there are people that give up, it kills 95,000 Americans each year, hundreds of thousands, if not millions globally. In fact, it will be millions globally, and they are the people who gave up. And the last thing I want is you to be that statistic. I don't want it, you don't want it, your family don't want it, nobody wants it. So the one thing that you can control is you can't control by the way, your your previous failed attempts. It's in the past, it's done. But what you can control is your attitude, and your attitude and your optimism, and even when you feel defeated and low, you can still reignite that optimism of I can do this, I can change. Doesn't matter how many times I've failed in the past, I can do this, or I can at least give it my all, right? Even if you fail, as long as you give it your all, you're you're making progress. If I hadn't gone through all of the failed attempts to stop drinking, the AA, right? The dozens of attempts of willpower, reading all the stop drinking books, I would never be where I am today, where I don't drink. And all those failed attempts taught me something. And the day that you say, F it, I'm throwing in the towel, I'm just accepting my fate, that's the day you fail. That's the day you fail. It's not the day that you get a cancer diagnosis. It was the day that you said, screw it, whatever. And I want to remind you that there is a life for you where you don't drink alcohol and you don't miss it. That is a possibility. It's still a possibility, even if you're not there now. You can get there, you can get to a place where you're a happy non-drinker, where you feel free, where you feel positive, where you don't want to drink because you're so happy with your life. You're waking up, you've got energy, clarity. Your family, they're proud. They're looking at you like mum did it, dad did it. That is still a possibility. That life track exists. You can do it. Don't give up the hope. So, as I make this video in a Devonshire countryside, living the dream, living what was my dream eight years ago when I was still struggling, I know that if I could do it, you can do it. And if the people who I've worked with that have been drinking a bottle of vodka a day can do it, 40 beers a day for 40 years, if they can do it, you can do it. Now, one of the best things that you can do, by the way, is if you are feeling demotivated, there's there's two things. First thing is apply to join my program. Right? Go to the description, click the link, fill in an application, book a call. Let's see if working together could be a good fit. We've helped over 500 clients. We get a 96% client-rated success rate. We've got an academic report, a scientific report written on a program by an academic psychologist. He talks about the science behind the method. You know, what we've got is special. So that's one thing you can do. And the other thing you can do is listen to success stories. I've done many videos from celebrities on this channel. Uh, I've got lots of client testimonials, like where they do their full life story of all their problems of alcohol. And when you hear other people say, I was in this position and I've changed, it can just light that fire inside of you. So there's two recommendations for you. I'm gonna go out for a drive, we're gonna go to Cornwall, and uh we'll catch up soon. Thanks for checking out the Stop Drinking podcast by Soberclear.
