We are living in divisive times. We have come through a season of extreme political divisiveness. The kind that has divided families, friendships and churches. Setting aside the legitimate political concerns, few would debate that our nation seems as divided as anytime in our lifetimes. Racial tensions, that many believe had been healed, boiled back to the surface and old wounds were re-opened and new recriminations were hurled between people of differing ethnic backgrounds. These things may seem new, but they are not new. They are as old as the human race.
