Some hear preached this statement, found in three synoptic gospels, as Jesus
promise, if believed, to heal everyone in the same way and all the time. But I think that
this word was specific to this distressed person, “full of leprosy”(very serious skin
disease that in all its forms was considered “unclean” & possibly even contagious, see
Luke 5:12, Leviticus 14)
