#9 Stop Telling Me What To Eat
Show Notes

Being a diabetic usually means having people around us telling us what to eat. But beyond a healthy diet and changing some habits to improve our health, I consider the mental aspect around diabetes to be even more important than looking out after our eating routines.

In that matter: do you consider yourself a Reactive person or a Proactive one?
Most of us, when diagnosed with diabetes, start being reactive to tips, suggestions and recommendations. We get angry about the idea of giving up food that we love. But as time went by, I found that being a Proactive person yield better results to the process of reversing my diabetes.

"When you are on two or three or even more drugs and on insulin, you are not controlling your diabetes. You are reacting to it".

Some questions for you:

  • Why don't you improve what you eat?
  • Based on your current diet, are your glucose levels going up or down?
  • Are you running out of good healthy food ideas?
