Show Notes

In this episode, we have a conversation with one of the extra-ordinary academicians in the Finance industry. She has built her career in the investing world not as an active investor, but has spent decades studying how the various kinds of investors react (and should react) to market response - spanning multiple areas of financial intermediation including corporate credit markets, leveraged loan market, global banking operations, asset allocation by pension funds and insurance companies, and value creation by private equity.

Ivashina shares about her upbringing and her take on over-leverage and risk-return appetite in these times. We also hear about her teaching style, what excites her most about her job and what she believes needs to be changed in the ecosystem today.
